Independent preliminary autopsy results for 18-year-old Nolan Wells have come back inconclusive, prompting the family, which is represented by civil rights attorney and racial activist Ben Crump, to call for further investigation.
Wells, a popular and outgoing football player at his community college, disappeared on July 4 after becoming separated from friends during a boating trip to Horn Island, off Mississippi&#8217;s Gulf Coast. His body was found in the water near the island two days later, on July 6, following an extensive search. Local authorities initially said there were no obvious signs of foul play and believed Wells likely drowned, though they emphasized the investigation remained active while awaiting autopsy and toxicology results.
During an independent autopsy, the pathologist <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/07/22/us-news/nolan-wells-preliminary-autopsy-results-released-after-teen-vanished-on-boating-trip/">found</a> a large area of red discoloration on the back of Wells&#8217; head and neck area that could be consistent with trauma, though decomposition prevented a definitive conclusion. Additionally, some of Wells&#8217; organs and portions of his neck structures had been retained during the original autopsy, limiting what the independent pathologist could evaluate. The cause and manner of death remain undetermined pending further investigation, and the official state autopsy and toxicology results are still pending.

The teen&#8217;s family is represented by attorney Ben Crump, who has previously advanced racial narratives in high-profile cases — such as the cases of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota — before investigations were completed. Wells is black, and he was photographed with friends who are white during the holiday.
Crump said at a Wednesday press conference that Wells&#8217; parents were told by the United Cajun Navy that their son&#8217;s body was found face down and fully clothed. The volunteer group posted afterward on X that it had said no such thing, writing that Wells &#8220;was wearing only swim trunks.&#8221;

The Wells family has also suggested that Wells&#8217; phone was missing texts and Snapchat photos before it was returned to them, though this has not been verified. Wells&#8217; mother, Christine Wonsley, said her son&#8217;s Snapchat account looked empty of photos, which she found unusual. A forensic examination of the phone by experts retained by both the Jackson County District Attorney&#8217;s Office and the Wells family is underway to determine if messages were deleted by someone other than the teen.
Conservative podcast host Brandon Tatum recently spoke to Warren Hudson, a friend of Wells who was with the teen on the weekend he went missing. Hudson said he spoke with Wells several times on July 4 and that his friend seemed joyful, happy, and like his usual self. Hudson said Wells had been drinking but appeared to be fine. The friend also said the group mingled with hundreds of people on Horn Island, that he witnessed no altercations involving Wells, and that everyone began searching for him after realizing he had gone missing.

The money, the fundraiser says, will go toward funeral and memorial costs, investigation matters, and other expenses related to the mental and emotional anguish the family is suffering from Wells&#8217; disappearance and death: &#8220;Funds raised will be used for funeral and memorial expenses, celebration of life services, and any additional costs associated with honoring Nolan&#8217;s memory. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) suggested Tuesday that racism may help explain why many soccer fans rooted against Argentina during this year&#8217;s World Cup, drawing a puzzled response from a Yale history professor testifying before Congress.  
During a House <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=961Mclohmi8&amp;t=6901s">hearing</a> titled &#8220;Rewriting American History: Examining the Smithsonian&#8217;s Efforts to Reshape the Past,&#8221; Crockett asked Yale historian David Blight why so many people rooted for Spain over Argentina in the tournament&#8217;s final.
Noting that the World Cup captured the “imagination of the entire world” where everyone saw people of color playing for these teams, Crockett pointed to the championship match between Argentina and Spain. 
“And it seemed like the vast majority of the world was rooting for Argentina … or, actually, against Argentina, right?” Crockett said. “And why was that? Just give me an explanation if you can guess.” 
“Spain had the best team,” Blight responded with a smile while shaking his head. “Maybe that’s why they were rooting for them.&#8221;
After laughing at Blight&#8217;s response, Crockett suggested there was also “a racist history that exists as it relates to Argentina.”

Earlier in the hearing, Crockett welcomed attendees to what she called “Republicans&#8217; white-pride rally disguised as a congressional hearing,” according to <a href="https://www.theblaze.com/news/jasmine-crockett-world-cup-argentina">Blaze Media</a>. 
She followed with a series of remarks about America’s history being rooted in racism and white supremacy. 
“It’s a fact that there is a violent, exclusionary, discriminatory, sexist, and racist part of American history where our indigenous populations were forcibly displaced from their land,” Crockett said.
Crockett also cited the Biden administration&#8217;s 2021 claim that the greatest &#8220;domestic threat to the United States is violent white supremacists.&#8221; She accused Republicans of pushing to ban books and &#8220;attack museums.&#8221;
Crockett also claimed that &#8220;white men,&#8221; whom she accused of having a &#8220;fetish&#8221; and &#8220;fragile egos,&#8221; are attempting to feel &#8220;oppressed&#8221; over changes at the Smithsonian Museum, according to Blaze Media.

Social media users are losing their minds after discovering how Netflix chose to describe one of the most iconic films of all time. 
The streamer’s short <a href="https://www.netflix.com/title/70020694">description</a> for the historical drama “Gone with the Wind” reads: “A 1939 American Civil War epic known for its racism. To learn more about Black lives in America, search ‘Black Lives Matter.’”
The title does not appear to be available to stream in the United States currently.
Screenshots of the description went viral on social media, with commenters saying the whole thing was no surprise from a woke company like Netflix. Elon Musk also <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/2077362080286412981">reacted</a>, saying simply, “Needs to change.”
This is not the first time “Gone with the Wind” has come under attack by would-be censors. In 2020, HBO Max <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/backfire-gone-with-the-wind-sales-explode-after-leftists-target-movie-sales-of-other-classics-also-skyrocketing">pulled the title</a> from circulation amid the public outcry over George Floyd’s death. The move ended up having the opposite effect, with sales of the film exploding.
It was later <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gone-with-the-wind-returning-to-hbo-max-will-feature-a-disclaimer">restored to HBO Max</a> and included an introduction from Turner Classic Movies host Jacqueline Stewart. She argued in an op-ed, also published in 2020, that the film deserved to be circulated so everyone could learn more about the evils of the past. 
“‘Gone with the Wind’ is a prime text for examining expressions of white supremacy in popular culture,” Stewart insisted, arguing that the film “taps into long standing myths about the gentility of the antebellum South.”
“As the title indicates, ‘Gone with the Wind’ looks back nostalgically at idyllic days that are no more (because they never were),” she continued. “By harkening back to the great old days, plantation dramas invite white viewers to imagine appealing but false pedigrees. When working class and poor white viewers identify with a noble white lineage, for example, they might be less likely to form what could be beneficial alliances with their black working class and poor counterparts.”
“Gone with the Wind” is a historical romance film based on the 1936 novel of the same name by Margaret Mitchell. It’s an enduring classic that most people believe to be representative of its time, but it has still become the subject of controversy at different points in time, especially in the last decade.
In 2023, the book’s publisher defended <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gone-with-the-wind-publisher-calls-the-book-harmful">adding an introductory warning</a> without changing any of the book’s text.
“‘Gone with the Wind’ is a novel which includes problematic elements including the romanticization of a shocking era in our history and the horrors of slavery,” the publishers wrote at the time. “The novel includes the representation of unacceptable practices, racist and stereotypical depictions and troubling themes, characterization, language and imagery.”
“The text of this book remains true to the original in every way and is reflective of the language and period in which it was originally written,” the disclaimer went on. “We want to alert readers that there may be hurtful or indeed harmful phrases and terminology that were prevalent at the time this novel was written and which are true to the context of the historical setting of this novel. Pan Macmillan believes changing the text to reflect today’s world would undermine the authenticity of the original, so has chosen to leave the text in its entirety.”
“This does not, however, constitute an endorsement of the characterization, content or language used,” it said in conclusion.
“Gone with the Wind” is one of the best-known classic movies of all time, earning 10 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, following its release in 1939. Hattie McDaniel, who portrayed Mammy in that film, was also the first black person ever to win an Academy Award.

A black historian is no longer employed at Tufts University after it was revealed that her prize-winning book cited sources that didn’t exist. 
Initial reviews praised Kerri K. Greenidge&#8217;s book — titled &#8220;The Grimkes: The Legacy of Slavery In An American Family&#8221; — for her focus on the slaveholding Grimke brother fathering children with an enslaved woman. Previous histories had focused more on the Grimke sisters — Sarah and Angelina — who had rejected their heritage and become prominent abolitionists, also championing women&#8217;s rights.
The book retold the story through the sisters’ biracial nephews, citing letters from the University of Michigan’s archive that apparently are not there. But when Greenidge was confronted with that information, she suggested that her work was only under scrutiny because she was black.
“I am heartbroken that a field I have given my life to can treat me this way,” Greenidge said in an interview on Friday. “The attack on black women academics is real.”
She claimed she has never fabricated anything, but admitted some citations could be misattributed. “Are there citations that were misattributed? Probably.” 
Myra C. Glenn, a retired professor of American history at Elmira College, <a href="https://muse.jhu.edu/article/932227">first</a> raised concerns about the book’s credibility in a March 2024 review. “All too often Greenidge lacks the evidence to substantiate many of her major claims. Her work is also riddled with factual errors and repeatedly omits needed endnotes.”
Glenn <a href="https://muse.jhu.edu/article/932227">alleges</a> that Greenidge negatively portrayed the two abolitionist sisters as being “alternately cruel and relentlessly judgmental” toward their bi-racial nephews without evidence. Glenn argues the negative portrayal of the sisters ultimately “serves a larger purpose” by laying the foundation for the book’s central narrative. 
Another allegation claims Greenidge fabricated a dramatic scene by writing that the Grimké sisters &#8220;led thousands of antislavery women through prayer&#8221; and helped them escape the burning Pennsylvania Hall during an anti-abolitionist mob attack in 1838. Glenn said that numerous sources had previously documented that no one was in the building as it burned. 
After Glenn expressed her doubts, other scholars followed. The book, labeled one of the 10 best books of 2022 from Publishers Weekly, is no longer listed on Greenidge’s author page. Patrick Collins, a spokesman for Tufts University, told the New York Times that Greenidge was no longer employed by the university on Thursday. While the email did not specify whether Greenidge left the university or was terminated, Collins said the university had recently become aware that the book &#8220;contained multiple errors of fact and failed to give appropriate credit to the work of another.” 
Like Collins, Greenidge declined to detail the nature of her departure but did criticize Tufts&#8217; peer review panel. Greenidge claimed two of the panelists were hostile toward black women in academics and that the university’s review was prompted by a white female scholar. Greenidge said that she plans to get a restraining order against that woman. 
Collins responded saying, “The independent review by outside experts in the field was fair, fact-based, thorough, and objective. We stand by the review and strongly deny any allegations of bias.”
Problems with Greenidge’s “The Grimkes” ultimately led to questions about her book “Black Radical.” Stephen Fox, a historian who wrote a book on the same story, said, “It seems well done, except when you look at the footnotes. I started to think maybe it wasn’t just sloppy,” before adding “I think it’s something deeper.”

An attorney who&#8217;s working on Karmelo Anthony&#8217;s appellate team just publicly dissed the convicted murderer&#8217;s parents and supporters, seemingly outlining the team&#8217;s appeal strategy.
In a post published to social media, attorney Justin Moore ripped Anthony&#8217;s parents for mocking the father of victim Austin Metcalf, 17, and for going on a &#8220;press tour&#8221; to tout a false racial narrative.
“[Thirty-five] years,&#8221; Moore posted online, referring to Anthony&#8217;s prison sentence. &#8220;They showed no mercy. Kinda hard to when the defendant&#8217;s parents had a press conference mocking the dead victim’s father right after the incident.&#8221;
Following the murder, Jeff Metcalf, the victim&#8217;s father, was thrown out of an Anthony family presser when he asked to speak to the family and possibly pray with them. He was effectively painted as a racist.
&#8220;Y’all non lawyers can argue about if he were guilty or not,&#8221; Moore continued. &#8220;Most real lawyers realize this was a punishment case. With that being the case, you simply don’t run around going on a press tour touting a false narrative. I’m pissed.&#8221;
&#8220;And it’s the people that were around Karmelo who sold this story to folks. Trying to sell racism for personal gain,&#8221; he added. Notably, the Anthony family raised well over $600,000 through a GiveSendGo fundraiser that was launched soon after Metcalf was murdered. &#8220;Y’all really showed out this time,&#8221; Moore said.
The social media post was reported by independent journalist Sarah Fields, who was inside the courtroom for the entire murder trial.
&#8220;Extremely interesting statement from Justin Moore, a member of Karmelo Anthony’s legal team,&#8221; Fields commented. &#8220;They have virtually no chance on appeal.&#8221;
&#8220;What I find most interesting is that even Karmelo’s own legal team seems to be throwing his parents under the bus,&#8221; she added. &#8220;When the people closest to the case start pointing fingers internally, that should tell you everything you need to know.&#8221;

Metcalf was fatally stabbed by Anthony at a track meet in April 2025. Video footage and eyewitness accounts indicate that Metcalf was stabbed after he told Anthony to leave his team&#8217;s tent and possibly shoved him. Metcalf died in his twin brother&#8217;s arms.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has confirmed that an employee has been terminated over her remarks about Karmelo Anthony in the wake of his murder conviction and subsequent 35-year prison sentence.
The TDCJ confirmed to <a href="https://www.dallasnews.com/news/courts/article/karmelo-anthony-parole-supervisor-facebook-comment-22302990.php">The Dallas Morning News</a> that Donna Robinson was no longer with the department after she posted on Facebook about the case, saying that she believed Anthony was likely to be &#8220;protected&#8221; in prison. She also added, &#8220;I&#8217;m just glad we didn&#8217;t have to bury another Black child. Let them start burying some of theirs for a change. FK&#8217;em I said what I said.&#8221;

The TDCJ said in a statement to The Dallas Morning News that Robinson&#8217;s comments undercut the department in a way that was deemed unacceptable, and after a review of her public statements, she was fired.
&#8220;These statements are incompatible with TDCJ policy and values. They demonstrate bias and a lack of the impartiality essential to the fair administration of justice in Texas,&#8221; the statement said, noting that employees were expected on a regular basis to make decisions in the workplace that had to be free from bias. &#8220;Discriminatory or inflammatory conduct that erodes public confidence in the criminal justice system will not be tolerated.&#8221;
Anthony, 19, was convicted for the murder of Austin Metcalf, 17 — whom he fatally stabbed at a high school track meet — and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

The father of slain Texas teenager Austin Metcalf blasted the parents of Karmelo Anthony as “cowards,” accusing them of making the high-profile murder case about race. 
Jeff Metcalf made the comments shortly after a jury sentenced the 19-year-old Anthony to 35 years in prison for murdering 17-year-old Metcalf with a knife at a track meet in Texas in April 2025. 
After Anthony&#8217;s sentencing, Metcalf spoke on a <a href="https://rumble.com/v7b3yt0-jinxedsip-exclusive-the-jeff-metcalf-interview-with-sarah-fields-ep.-53.html?e9s=src_v1_s%2Csrc_v1_s_o&amp;sci=71c8a082-9d9c-4ea5-835d-2810ef2eb2d9">three-hour stream</a> hosted by independent journalist Sarah Fields on the JinxedSip podcast. He gave his thoughts on the trial, the racial issues at play during the trial, and his emotions about the lengthy ordeal. 
Anthony&#8217;s parents, Andrew Anthony and Kayla Hayles, blamed the conviction and sentencing of their son on racism in a recent interview with CBS.

And what&#8217;d you do? Widen the gap even further.”
Metcalf was referring to how he was turned away from a press conference hosted by the Anthony family after the killing. 
“I feel sorry for that young man,” Metcalf said of Anthony. “He&#8217;s fixing to live a living hell. Not that he doesn&#8217;t deserve it. Yes, he does. But I&#8217;m human. And I&#8217;m sorry. I don&#8217;t wish harm or ill will on anyone. It&#8217;s not the Christian thing to do, man. It&#8217;s not the way I was raised. It&#8217;s not what I was taught. I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s right or wrong. I just know it is what it is.”
Metcalf also commented on the racial politics at play in the case. Leftist activists claim that Anthony was only convicted because he was black and have complained that there were no black jurors. 
“Because you can&#8217;t be unbiased, you dumb sh*ts. If you answer the question, ‘I can&#8217;t send a black man to jail because he&#8217;s black,’ they&#8217;re not getting on the jury. You&#8217;re so unintelligent, you can&#8217;t even fill out a form correctly,” Metcalf said. “You don&#8217;t even know who your f*cking daddy is because 78% of you don&#8217;t have your father in the home anymore. Metcalf also said that he raised his sons not to judge people by the color of their skin. 
“We don&#8217;t see color. We&#8217;re not racist. We have friends of all diversities, nationality, ethnicities. It doesn&#8217;t matter,” he said. ‘Justice doesn&#8217;t see color. Hate doesn&#8217;t see color. Love doesn&#8217;t see color.”
He also said he never wanted race to be part of the trial.
“From day one, I said this was never about race. Please, don&#8217;t make it about race and don&#8217;t politicize it. And what did you do? You chose both. The race card, black fatigue. It&#8217;s real. I&#8217;m sorry. You have embarrassed your own culture and race. Don&#8217;t get me wrong. We got a lot of [white] people that embarrass the sh*t out of me too. But you guys, you got a patent on that sh*t. And the only people who&#8217;re going to change it  are you. Don&#8217;t blame the white person &#8217;cause we can&#8217;t change it. But you&#8217;re gonna blame the white person for every f*cking thing else.”
“You can do everything in America that I can do. Tell me one thing, you can&#8217;t do that I can&#8217;t do. We all have equal rights,” he added. 
At one point during the stream, he referred to Anthony as a “watermelon felon&#8221; while mocking the activists who have tried to make the case about race. 
“Let me make something racist up so &#8230; go viral. I got a new name for Mello, OK? Because he was such this little boy you [were] always trying to portray. How about ‘watermelon felon?’  How&#8217;s that one strike you?” he said. “I hope he enjoyed his first night in his cell last night because he&#8217;s going to have many nights to think about what the f*ck he did. I forgave him, so I don&#8217;t carry the hate and the anger.”
The interview with Fields was the first after a gag order ended after the trial wrapped up on Tuesday. 
“Jeff Metcalf was given the floor without interruption. After being under a gag order for a year, he could finally speak raw and unfiltered,” Fields <a href="https://x.com/SarahisCensored/status/2064940589104136689">said</a>. “THIS is what independent journalism is about. A Howard University professor is under fire for blaming Austin Metcalf’s father for not teaching his son enough about black culture, which she seemed to insinuate resulted in his murder.
Karmelo Anthony was convicted Tuesday of murdering Austin at a track meet in April 2025 and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Austin’s father, Jeff Metcalf, admonished Anthony for making the case about race and told him he’s been feeling “pure unfiltered rage” while grieving the loss of his son.
“I said from day one, this was never about race, please don’t politicize it,” Jeff said. “But what did you choose to do, both. It’s about right and wrong. We’re all humans. We all bleed the same color.”
“You failed your parents, you failed yourself, and you failed society. You don’t belong in this community,” he continued,  “You’re going to prison. You can’t even look me in the eyes right now, but you can stab my f*cking son in the heart.”
Dr. Stacey Patton <a href="https://drstaceypatton1865.substack.com/p/dear-jeff-metcalf-your-son-is-dead">published an article</a> on Substack on Wednesday titled, “Dear Jeff Metcalf: Your Son Is Dead Because You Failed to Teach Him That Black Boys Have Boundaries.”
Patton responded to the grieving father’s heartbreaking victim’s impact statement by saying it was time to “talk about Jeff Metcalf’s failure as a father.” She said this was appropriate to do because it was the same treatment given to the families of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Tamir Rice.
“In your own memorial language, you told us about the kind of white boyhood Austin was raised inside. It was a boyhood steeped in conquest language, hunting rituals, warrior fantasies, masculine toughness, and the romance of force,” she wrote. “You told us about a child praised not just for being kind, curious, gentle, or careful, but for becoming a ‘leader’ and a ‘warrior’ in a racist culture where those words too often mean dominance.”
She argued Austin Metcalf “learned early how to hold a weapon, how to aim, how to take down a living thing, how to be proud of the kill, how to have that moment folded into the mythology of father and son,&#8221; and that set him up to be a victim of violence.
“YOU taught Austin what it meant to be a ‘warrior.’ YOU taught him that toughness was honorable. YOU taught him that taking up space was normal. YOU taught him that confrontation was courage. YOU socialized Austin into entitlement long before he ever reached that track meet,” Patton wrote in the lengthy essay.
“YOU failed to teach your boy that black children have boundaries. YOU failed [to] teach humility, restraint, or the sacred fact that another person’s body is not your jurisdiction. YOU failed to teach him that another child’s space is not a challenge to be conquered. … YOU obviously failed to teach your son that touching, confronting, crowding, testing, or policing another person can have consequences. You failed, Jeff,” she added.
The Howard professor ultimately concluded that “black children have good reason to be on guard around white bodies.”
She went on to say she was glad Karmelo Anthony never looked the grieving father in the eye, as he had requested while he read his statement. 
“There was power in him not looking at you,” Patton wrote. “There was refusal in it. There was survival in it. There was an ancient knowing in it. Because black people know what it means when a white man demands eye contact from a black child after already deciding what that child is. We know the old ritual. We know that sometimes ‘look at me’ is not a request for humanity. It is a demand for surrender. And Karmelo did not surrender.”
Professor Patton’s Substack has nearly fifty thousand followers, and her open letter to Jeff Metcalf has received nearly two thousand likes. But not everyone was happy with it. 
“Demonic,” one commenter replied.
“This is pretty disgusting,” another person <a href="https://x.com/AdiMagnolia/status/2065213824828113320">wrote</a>. “They’re asserting a right to murder white people who aren’t docile, deferential, and subordinate. Who don’t ‘know their place.’ Some of them have become the racists they claim to hate.”
“Black boys, and all boys for that matter, should have a boundary if not stabbing someone to death. That’s the boundary,” another <a href="https://x.com/mattvanswol/status/2065263527108006335">wrote</a>. “It’s an extremely easy boundary NOT to cross, billions of people live their whole lives without ever crossing it. If there’s ANY boundary, it’s that.”

Professor Blames Austin Metcalf’s Father For Lesson He Says Was Never Taught

Cardi B is being mocked for her response to the Karmelo Anthony verdict, with commenters saying she learned the exact wrong lesson from justice being served.
&#8220;Wow! Just freakin wow! DISGUSTING,&#8221; she <a href="https://x.com/iamcardib/status/2064521641988637183">wrote</a> on X soon after the verdict was read. &#8220;This is not justice, this is trying to make an example!!!&#8221;
The rapper also hosted a live <a href="https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/2064904705386356949">conversation</a> on X on Wednesday, complaining about having to tell her sons it’s not okay to argue with white people.
“I sure learned something from this. I learned to tell my sons, if a white boy … do not argue with no white boys … ‘cause baby, ain’t no law protecting you if something goes down with them. That’s what I learned from this case. I’mma tell my sons, you arguing with a white boy, walk the f*ck away. ‘Cause the law don’t protect you.” 
Anthony, 19, was found guilty of murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, a high school athlete, whom he fatally stabbed at a track and field meet in Frisco, Texas, in April 2025. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison and has already filed an appeal. 
While Anthony’s family claims he was targeted for his race and that Metcalf provoked him, video evidence reportedly shows that Anthony refused requests that he leave the track team’s tent before he stabbed Metcalf. The jury agreed that the killing was not self-defense, as Anthony&#8217;s defense and supporters claimed.
Some social media users pointed out the flaws in Cardi B’s logic. 
“In her dumb and convoluted way, she does seem to have inadvertently learned a good lesson — teach your kids not to stab other kids, because they will go to prison,” podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey <a href="https://x.com/conservmillen/status/2065081352773366171">observed</a>.
“I don&#8217;t know how but this trial and the aftermath have demonstrated a significant cultural problem within certain circles or communities. The outrage because this dude got pushed in high school and he wasn&#8217;t allowed to kill in response is about as big a red flag as you can find,” another person <a href="https://x.com/Ruhroe/status/2065089317588836430">wrote</a>.

Then she played the ultimate victim card: <a href="https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/2064549059273146821/video/1">&#8220;Black women live in agony every day that I promise the Metcalfs had never lived through.&#8221;</a>
The knife went two inches into Austin Metcalf&#8217;s chest. It punctured his heart. He died in his twin brother&#8217;s arms. But sure, Jasmine. Tell us more about your agony.
It is 2026. A sitting congresswoman is claiming victimhood by melanin levels, while the family whose son was stabbed to death at a high school track meet (for the crime of asking someone to leave his team&#8217;s tent) is told their grief doesn&#8217;t measure up. The sheer audacity is not just appalling. It&#8217;s a window into everything that is rotting this country from the inside out.
The Democratic Party&#8217;s race-based suicidal empathy, its fanatical prioritization of &#8220;equity&#8221; over equal opportunity, and its color-coded dismissal of crime isn&#8217;t just a policy failure. It&#8217;s a suicide pact for civilization itself. When skin color determines who gets leniency and who gets the book thrown at them, you don&#8217;t get justice. You get dead innocents and a society tearing itself apart.
The Left went soft on crime to make certain statistics look better on paper. Never mind that FBI <a href="https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/topic-pages/tables/table-43">data</a> shows black Americans, who make up 13% of the population, account for over 50% of homicide perpetrators. Never mind that the overwhelming majority of black victims are killed by other black perpetrators; a crisis the Left refuses to address with any of the urgency it reserves for racial theatrics. The problem isn&#8217;t data; the problem is that acknowledging it disrupts the narrative.
Suicidal empathy has consequences. <a href="https://www.wbtv.com/2026/05/15/charlotte-light-rail-stabbing-spurs-push-for-cashless-bail-reporting/">Iryna Zarutska</a> was a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who fled war and came to America looking for safety. She was stabbed to death on a Charlotte light rail train in August 2025 by Decarlos Brown, Jr. A man who had been arrested 14 times and released under cashless bail on a misdemeanor charge despite a documented history of violence and mental illness. North Carolina Democrats&#8217; soft-on-crime policies put him back on the street. Their indifference put him on that train. North Carolina eventually passed Iryna&#8217;s Law, but Iryna was already dead.
Karmelo Anthony, meanwhile, is publicly defended by a sitting congresswoman who essentially told the world she&#8217;d have done the same thing.
But reverse the races. Imagine a white boy who stabbed a black boy. The Left would be burning cities down quicker than Graham Platner cheating on his new bride.
They don&#8217;t want equal opportunity. They want equal outcomes. And they&#8217;ve been engineering it since the Marxists swapped class warfare for identity warfare. Kamala Harris, Jasmine Crockett, Karl Marx, and Herbert Marcuse all imbibe from the same poisonous well: the world is divided into the oppressors and the oppressed, and the only solution to this is dismantling the oppressors by any means necessary. Marcuse preached that tolerance should be granted to the Left and denied to the Right. Today&#8217;s Democrats live that sentiment daily.
DEI quotas that punish merit, affirmative action that lowers standards, and reparations talk that treats success as theft. The formula is simple: if the right protected class isn&#8217;t &#8220;harmed,&#8221; the hounds stay quiet. But let a white man succeed, or God forbid, defend himself against a protected-class attacker? The mob descends.
This rot has seeped into schools, corporations, and courtrooms for decades. Class struggle became racial struggle, and &#8220;equity&#8221; became the new holy grail. Achieved, naturally, by punishing the productive and excusing the violent.
And how&#8217;s that working out? It&#8217;s killing us.
Iryna Zarutska is dead because Democrats let her killer out of jail on a promise to show up to court. Austin Metcalf is dead because a young man was raised on a toxic diet of victimhood and anti-white grievance that convinced him that being shoved deserved a retaliatory knife in the chest. In New York City, a homeless veteran is dead because soft-on-crime policies sprung a career criminal from jail too early. Seventeen-year-old Tyson <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/tyson-goodsell-murder-charges-north-mankato-minnesota/">Goodsell</a> was shot dead in Minnesota in May 2026 by Somali gangs. 
Across the pond, your crystal ball for America in 20 years, 18-year-old Henry Nowak bled out on a sidewalk after his killer stabbed him with a ceremonial blade, lied to the police, and called Nowak a racist, and watched British officers handcuff the dying boy instead of calling an ambulance. This week, a Sudanese asylum seeker nearly <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DZY0T5WpfN8/">beheaded</a> a man on a Belfast street.
That is what the Left&#8217;s tolerance is doing to us. Blood in the bleachers. Blood on the subway. Blood on the sidewalks. Blood on the streets of Belfast.
And Jasmine Crockett, instead of fighting any of it or addressing why black children are born out of wedlock at nearly <a href="https://ceousa.org/2020/02/26/percentage-of-births-to-unmarried-women/">70</a>% — a rate that study after study links directly to youth violence and crime — instead of cracking down on the criminals devastating her own community, she defends them. Because the theory says to. The theory that law and order are oppression. That family structure is a tool of the patriarchy. That borders are violence. That Western civilization and whites are the villains. That it all needs to be burned down.
The Left is allowing a pervasive and destructive ideology to hollow out this nation. It used to be visible. You could see the consequences of communism and Marxism in famines and gulags. Now it&#8217;s invisible. It lives in lesson plans, corporate training manuals, and the phones in our children&#8217;s hands. It has useful idiots like Jasmine Crockett STILL defending killers by race. STILL dismissing victims by creed. STILL seeing in color only.
It echoes the OJ Simpson verdict, the moment black women <a href="https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/2064498502625849406/video/1">cheered</a> an acquittal not because justice was served, but because it felt good to see “someone who is rich and famous, and black” get away with it. Justice wasn’t the point. Keeping score was.
Enough.
Stop letting people who seek destruction lead our institutions. Be a builder.
Stop being a victim, take what you&#8217;ve been given, and do something worthy with it.
Karmelo Anthony deserved his sentence. Austin Metcalf deserved to live. It didn&#8217;t matter what either of them looked like. The reality is that both of these young men deserved to grow up, live past their teenage years, and build something meaningful in the freest nation on earth. That is no longer possible for either of them.
If we want a society where young men actually make it, we need to raise them differently. In nuclear homes. With faith. With gratitude and decency. With the understanding that the world owes them nothing and that building something requires virtue, not grievance.
Jasmine Crockett, I can&#8217;t wait for you to retire. In your newfound free time, I hope you at least attempt to understand all of this.

Supporters of convicted murderer Karmelo Anthony harassed slain teen Austin Metcalf&#8217;s friends as they left the Collin County courthouse on Tuesday.
Anthony was convicted on Tuesday of murdering Metcalf at a track meet in April 2025, and was sentenced to 35 years behind bars.
“F*ck Austin Metcalf! I hope he burns in hell!&#8221; Anthony supporters yelled at Metcalf&#8217;s teenaged friends, according to reporter Breanna Morello.
Tamera Nealy, who&#8217;s been reporting on the Anthony murder trial, said Metcalf&#8217;s friends were &#8220;surrounded by a large group of Karmelo Anthony supporters&#8221; when they left the courthouse. Members of the group shouted, &#8220;F*ck Austin,&#8221; and said they would &#8220;piss on his grave,” Nealy was told. They also shouted that Metcalf&#8217;s friends, who are teenagers, “should be dead&#8221; and spit at them.
&#8220;Regardless of anyone’s views on the case, no grieving teenager should be subjected to harassment, threats, or degrading treatment while leaving a courthouse,&#8221; Nealy said.

One friend of Metcalf&#8217;s, who appears to be a minor, posted on X, &#8220;Doing this sh*t at us for no f*cking reason other than us being there to support our dead friend. No f*cking respect at all when we have been friendly to everyone regardless of side of the case.&#8221;
Journalist Sarah Fields, who was in the courthouse every day of the high-profile trial, asked others to not share the video of the harassment, since it shows the faces of grieving minors and identifying markers, presumably a license plate.
&#8220;According to those involved, individuals screamed that they were glad Austin was dead and followed and filmed them from the courthouse steps all the way to their car,&#8221; Fields reported. &#8220;The incident has been reported to law enforcement, and I have provided the identity of the streamer involved to the family.&#8221;

Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett claimed that black women suffer more “agony every single day” than the family of murdered high school athlete Austin Metcalf.
Crockett made the remark during an unhinged two-hour <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrPQgeiMVDs">stream</a> after 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison for murdering the 17-year-old Metcalf. Anthony fatally stabbed Metcalf during a track meet in April 2025 in Frisco, Texas, and the case quickly garnered national attention. 
Responding to the murder sentence, Crockett turned to race, arguing that the Metcalf family, who are white, don&#8217;t understand the alleged pain of black women.  
“Black women, especially black women who have black male children live in fear and agony every single day &#8230; fear and agony that I promise you the Metcalfs probably never spent a day living that way and we&#8217;re going to have to have just some real conversations about race in this country,” Crockett said during her stream.

Crockett, who will leave Congress at the end of her current term after a failed run for Senate, added during the stream that she didn’t think the knife carried by Anthony at the track meet qualified as a “deadly weapon.” 
“Well, I would have argued the size of it alone, you wouldn&#8217;t even think it&#8217;s a deadly weapon,” she said as the panel she hosted argued that the knife used in the murder was a multi-tool and it only killed Metcalf because of where he was stabbed.

She also claimed the jury should have considered whether it was “one stab versus a gazillion” that led to Metcalf’s death. 
“Because those are the ways that you look at intent, right? Like if you got a machete, bro, it&#8217;s a wrap, right? Like I mean, like the size and even in arguing these are the things that you argue right, like, is like what do you expect will happen if somebody got a machete versus what do you expect will happen if somebody has like a switchblade, like, or a Swiss Army Knife,” Crockett said. 
Crockett added that the jury should have considered the size of Metcalf compared to Anthony. She claimed the size differential could have strengthened Anthony&#8217;s self-defense claims.
&#8220;If a 300 pound man is beating me, like, on top of me and beating me down, I&#8217;m not limited to fist,&#8221; she said. &#8220;You know, I would argue that even, the only time we go into things like people&#8217;s hands being considered deadly weapons, is typically, like, if they&#8217;re a professional boxer, that kind of stuff, but I think by the time you start getting to, like, football player, good argument. Good, freaking arguments. We are not talking about, like, the golfers. We&#8217;re talking about football players, right?&#8221;

At the end of the stream, Crockett claimed one of her takeaways from the trial was that more black people needed to be on juries. 
“So, black people, stop walking yourself off the juries. First of all, make sure you show up,” she said. “Stop wondering why our kids are not being saved when you literally have people that don&#8217;t even see their humanity nine out of 10 times pulling up to jury duty and you saying you got other things to do and you trying to come up with every excuse for not showing up. You got to pay it forward.”
