Try to think back, if you can, to the transition period of the Biden-Harris administration. I&#8217;m talking about the personnel decisions — and particularly the key Cabinet appointments — that the incoming administration made in the weeks after the media called the race for Joe Biden, back at the end of 2020.
Those personnel decisions were treated as non-stories. They came and went, and the media didn’t talk much about them. There wasn&#8217;t a lot of outrage or debate. Pete Buttigieg, for example, became the Transportation Secretary because he likes trains and was vaguely interested in airplanes. And he’s gay. Those were his qualifications. So they put him in charge of the Department of Transportation, which has a budget of tens of billions of dollars and oversees the nation&#8217;s railways and airports. Why not? It made sense to Democrats at the time. What&#8217;s the worst that could happen? A train carrying toxic chemicals might derail somewhere in Ohio? What are the odds of that?
And then there was the nomination of Lloyd Austin to lead the Defense Department. That was really inspiring. You see, Lloyd Austin was serving on the board of Raytheon, one of the biggest defense contractors in the world. Raytheon was paying him a lot of money. And then, without much fanfare, the Biden-Harris administration appointed Lloyd Austin to run the Pentagon. What could go wrong? Surely Lloyd Austin wouldn&#8217;t try to enrich his former colleagues in the defense industry by, say, sending billions of dollars worth of weaponry to a tiny, corrupt country in Eastern Europe. That would be unthinkable.
And then there was the appointment of someone using the name Rachel Levine — a biological male originally named Richard who decided in middle age to start wearing a dress and rebrand himself as Rachel. It made perfect sense, we were told, for a man deeply confused about the basic realities of human biology to oversee the nation&#8217;s healthcare system. Sure, he might pressure hospitals to castrate and sterilize as many children as possible. He might pose for some uncomfortable photographs with Sam Brinton, the cross-dressing nuclear waste expert and kleptomaniac who’d been terrorizing airport baggage claims all across the Eastern seaboard for years, before also being appointed for a role in the Biden Administration. But that&#8217;s the cost of human progress, the transition team told us.

I&#8217;m going through these appointments to make a couple of points. The first point is that all of these appointments — and many others like them, including the appointment of an open-borders advocate to run the Department of Homeland Security — were grotesque. None of them should have been allowed to go through. But they did, and the country paid the predictable consequences. Biden appointed more cross dressers that we’d been used to seeing in government at that point, but otherwise his picks were exactly what we’ve come to expect. A bunch of corrupt and useless bureaucrats, who went on to do what corrupt and useless bureaucrats always do.
Thankfully, it’s clear that Donald Trump is not going to follow that typical strategy. Donald Trump&#8217;s incoming administration is already unlike any other in American history. This is a transition team that&#8217;s making a concerted effort to select competent, independent Cabinet officials — people who aren&#8217;t self-interested cronies, or morons who are selected on the basis of identity politics. He’s picking people who are actually competent and who might actually advance the agenda that the American people voted for. Imagine that.
Let&#8217;s start with one of the selections that was announced last night. Donald Trump revealed that Pete Hegseth, a Bronze Star recipient who served nearly two decades in the military — including in Iraq and Afghanistan — will be nominated as Secretary of Defense. 
Hegseth is most recognizable at the moment as a Fox News host, where he often advocates on behalf of veterans. He&#8217;s also used his platform to outline changes that, in his view, need to be made to the military immediately. Watch:

This is all common-sense stuff. The overwhelming majority of countries don&#8217;t allow women in combat roles, for obvious reasons. And no, the military shouldn&#8217;t be teaching its soldiers about &#8220;white rage,&#8221; nor should the Pentagon be focused on recruiting girl bosses or &#8220;diverse&#8221; applicants. That strategy <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-military-is-collapsing-under-the-weight-of-its-own-wokeness">isn&#8217;t working</a>. The military is now regularly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-military-is-collapsing-under-the-weight-of-its-own-wokeness">missing</a> its recruitment goals primarily because they&#8217;ve gone out of their way to alienate white men for political reasons. As a result, our military is much smaller than China&#8217;s. Morale is terrible. We&#8217;re constantly losing war games, as Hegseth pointed out. And making matters worse, our military leaders are clearly inept, as evidenced by the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
With this track record, the absolute last person you&#8217;d want to pick for the job of Defense Secretary is another Lloyd Austin. The Lloyd Austins of the world are the ones who created the very situation that Hegseth was talking about in the clip. That’s why you need someone who&#8217;s motivated and equipped to make some radical changes. You want someone who knows what it&#8217;s like to be a soldier in a warzone, and who hasn&#8217;t been corrupted by his connections to the military-industrial complex. In short, you want someone like Pete Hegseth.
As you&#8217;d expect, Democrats don&#8217;t see it that way. They lost their minds when Trump briefly paused the flow of military weapons to Ukraine, and now they&#8217;re losing their minds because Pete Hegseth might spurn the defense industry, too. Elizabeth Warren, the senator from Massachusetts, was particularly enraged. She was sneering last night, along with a lot of her colleagues. She <a href="https://x.com/SenWarren/status/1856502912551158049">wrote</a>: &#8220;A Fox &amp; Friends weekend co-host is not qualified to be the Secretary of Defense. I lead the Senate military personnel panel. All three of my brothers served in uniform. I respect every one of our servicemembers. Donald Trump’s pick will make us less safe and must be rejected.&#8221;
So right away, the woman who pretended to be an Indian tries to dismiss Hegseth as a &#8220;weekend co-host.&#8221; She completely ignores his military service, his ideas, and his advocacy for veterans. We&#8217;re supposed to believe that, if Hegseth had served on the board of Raytheon, he would somehow be vastly more equipped for the job. We apparently want Defense Secretaries who are bureaucrats or defense contractors. Because that has obviously worked out so well over the past three decades.
And in the context of a second Trump administration, the criticisms of Pete Hegseth make even less sense. Recall that, under the first Trump administration, the Pentagon actively sabotaged Trump&#8217;s policy objectives. Our envoy to Syria has admitted this. It&#8217;s one of the most incredible admissions ever printed, but it never got much attention. The envoy stated that officials in the first Trump administration <a href="https://theohiostar.com/news/special-representative-for-syria-james-jeffrey-we-were-always-playing-shell-games-to-hide-the-number-of-u-s-troops-in-syria/ohstarstaff/2020/11/16/">were</a>, &#8220;always playing shell games&#8221; in order to hide the actual number of U.S. troops in Syria from Trump.” That&#8217;s an actual quote — &#8220;shell games.&#8221; In other words, they were lying to the commander in chief. Trump wanted troops to leave Syria, and they told him the troops were gone. And it wasn&#8217;t true.
People should&#8217;ve been put on trial for that. But it just faded from memory. Given that background, you can understand why — this time around — Trump wants someone he can actually depend upon. He wants to work with people he can trust. That&#8217;s the single most important quality that a Cabinet pick can have. And that&#8217;s very obvious to Trump now, after what he experienced in his first term.
But Democrats are still going to resist this nomination anyway, for reasons that they can&#8217;t even articulate. They just know that it would be a disaster for them if an outsider took control of the Defense Department. 
That&#8217;s why one of CNN&#8217;s hosts tried to push back on Scott Jennings&#8217; arguments for Hegseth last night. Watch:

For starters, it&#8217;s pretty amusing — as Jennings points out — for television pundits to attack Hegseth for being a &#8220;TV host,&#8221; when they&#8217;re all television personalities too. Either being on television makes you an idiot, or it doesn&#8217;t. And if it does, then all of these people should quit their jobs now, before CNN closes down and fires them anyway (which appears more likely to happen with each passing day).
And then the anchor says that civilians give the orders in the military, which is obviously true. But it&#8217;s the Pentagon — which is also run by civilians — that has the job of carrying out those orders. And as Jennings pointed out, the Pentagon has repeatedly failed to do its job. They were wrong about the spy balloon and what it was doing. They were wrong about the logistics of the Afghanistan pullout, which resulted in the deaths of American servicemembers. They couldn&#8217;t even build a pier properly. So what exactly is the argument for keeping these kinds of people in control of the Defense Department? How could we possibly do any worse than they&#8217;ve been doing?
That&#8217;s a point that Tom Homan, the incoming border czar, just made on Fox News. He was asked whether he was worried about having the title of &#8220;border czar,&#8221; given that Kamala Harris has done everything she can to run away from that title. Here&#8217;s how Homan responded:

That pretty much sums up the entire transition so far.
We&#8217;re so used to administration officials who lie to us — who try to use emotional blackmail and manipulation — that it&#8217;s pretty much impossible to be disappointed by the incoming Trump administration at this point. Just by demonstrating that they don&#8217;t care about the media&#8217;s manipulation and false narratives, they&#8217;re already well ahead of their predecessors.
It&#8217;s also clear that the federal bureaucracy, which functioned to undermine Trump at every possible opportunity, isn&#8217;t going to exist in the same form the second time around. Last night Trump officially announced that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will be running the Department of Government Efficiency, (DOGE). Trump said the goal of this new department will be to &#8220;dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies.&#8221; He said they&#8217;ll be done within two years — what he called the &#8220;perfect gift to America on the 250th Anniversary of The Declaration of Independence.&#8221;

The task of &#8220;dismantling government bureaucracy&#8221; should be the number-one focus of Trump&#8217;s second term. And Elon Musk is just the guy to do it. He showed up to Twitter and immediately axed 80% of the staff. Everyone in the media said it would destroy the company. They said the whole site would crash and be forgotten. And yet, here we are. Two years later, the place is running better than ever. The problem in the federal government is like Twitter, multiplied by a million.
Unlike every other company on the planet, the federal government doesn&#8217;t undergo layoffs. It just grows and grows, year after year. It siphons more and more money from taxpayers, without any accountability. These bureaucrats call themselves &#8220;public servants,&#8221; but really the public is serving them. We&#8217;re the ones who go to work every day to pay their salaries. And what exactly do they do for us? Do we really need these people to spend tens of thousands of dollars on &#8220;gender equity&#8221; in places like Honduras? Do we need them to develop new bat coronaviruses in secret labs in Wuhan? Do we need them to use our money to subsidize some of the most useless college degrees in existence? Do we need them to conduct fraudulent criminal trials of the leading presidential candidate? Do we need them to issue insane new regulations banning the sale of gas-powered vehicles?
Of course we don&#8217;t. We&#8217;ve never needed any of that.
What we have needed, for a long time now, is for the government to get out of the way of human progress. They need to stop spending and printing money as if it&#8217;s endless. They need to do what every American in the private sector has to do, which is to justify their salaries. They need to explain how exactly they&#8217;re serving the public, instead of the other way around.
This is a reckoning that would&#8217;ve been unthinkable if Kamala Harris had won this election. We&#8217;d be dealing with another parade of useless, BIPOC-transgender-whatever appointees who exist only to check boxes. Now things are different. And giving Musk and Ramaswamy the hacksaw with a directive to go to town on the federal bureaucracy means that maybe, for the first time ever, some real and substantial cuts will actually be made. No Republican president in modern times has ever actually done anything to cut the size of government. Much less have they taken any steps to gut the federal bureaucracy and get rid of all the useless people and their useless departments and programs. In fact, Republicans have only contributed to the problem.
There is good reason to think that this time will be different. Trump has picked the two right guys for the job. Which is why the federal bureaucrats are panicking, and their panic will only become more unhinged in the days ahead.
For everyone else — for people who actually earn their living — it&#8217;s a time to celebrate something that&#8217;s never happened before in modern American history. The behemoth federal bureaucracy is about to get what it deserves. What’s been coming to it for decades.
If Trump fulfills his promises and simply lets the people he’s hiring do the jobs they’ve been hired to do, it will mean ultimately that America becomes a freer, safer, more prosperous place. If this is the &#8220;fascism&#8221; they warned us about, it can&#8217;t come soon enough.

Judicial Watch is suing the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden-Harris administration</a> in order to receive documents on the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) promotion of transgender sex change operations for minors.
The suit comes after Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in early July requesting documents pertaining to HHS Assistant Secretary Admiral Rachel Levine’s involvement in pressuring a health organization to drop age requirements for sex change procedures. HHS failed to respond to the FOIA request, Judicial Watch says.
“Judicial Watch announced today it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) <a href="https://www.judicialwatch.org/documents/09-17-24-hhs-child-trans-surgery-complaint-02588/">lawsuit</a> against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,” the organization <a href="https://www.judicialwatch.org/transgender-surgeries-for-minors/">stated</a> in a press release, adding that the suit seeks “all records of communications of Assistant Secretary Rachel Levine regarding pressure put on an international group of medical experts to remove age limit guidelines on transgender procedures.”
“Biden-Harris appointee Admiral Levine, who abused power and is notorious for promoting transgender extremist policies, promoted mutilating surgeries for minors,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton contended. “It is no wonder the Biden-Harris administration wants to cover this up with unlawful secrecy. Judicial Watch’s lawsuit to expose the truth is urgently needed to protect children.”
The lawsuit to procure the documents comes after The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admins-rachel-levine-met-with-wpath-as-he-pushed-for-removal-of-trans-surgery-age-restrictions">reported</a> that Levine, a man who identifies as a woman, met with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and urged the organization to drop age requirements from its standards of care document.

One member of Levine’s staff warned WPATH that age requirements could contribute to “devastating legislation for trans care,” going on to say that Levine “wonders if the specific ages can be taken out.”
Another email, this one from WPATH, thanked Levine for meeting with the organization and explained that it decided to remove the age requirements upon the transgender government official’s request.
“We heard your comments regarding the minimal age criteria… Consequently, we have made changes to the SOC8 in this respect… They are now not a recommendation from the SOC-8 anymore,” the email reads.
“Assistant Secretary Levine … influence[d] the substantive content of SOC-8 [Standards of Care], based on political goals rather than science,” Psychologist Dr. James Cantor said while providing testimony during <a href="https://zwly9k6z.r.us-east-1.awstrack.me/L0/https:%2F%2Fstorage.courtlistener.com%2Frecap%2Fgov.uscourts.almd.77755%2Fgov.uscourts.almd.77755.591.24.pdf/1/01000192108df539-fb9e0657-13a3-4cd4-add0-9c465c8e5560-000000/XCbfdNCVBhEUD0L2JX-lWRdFu74=392">legal proceedings</a> that uncovered communications between the HHS official and WPATH. “Specifically, Assistant Secretary Levine, through a staff member, pressured WPATH to remove recommended minimum ages for medical transition treatments from SOC-8.”
Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, the Chairman of <a href="https://donoharmmedicine.org/">Do No Harm</a>, similarly criticized Levine, also tearing into WPATH for prioritizing politics over health.
“The collusion between WPATH and the administration through Rachel Levine is turning into one of the most disturbing medical scandals of this generation,” Goldfarb told The Daily Wire after the relationship between Levine and WPATH became public. “These documents reveal WPATH knowingly put political considerations over the health and safety of children, destroying what little credibility they once had. This behavior violates the oath we all take as doctors.”

Newly uncovered communications reveal that the Biden administration and Rachel Levine of Health and Human Services had an even greater role in removing age restrictions from guidance on the performance of sex change operations than previously known, with the Biden official personally meeting with the organization in charge of drafting the document, leading to concerns about political interference.
A <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-officials-pushed-drop-age-limit-trans-surgeries-minors-report">recent report</a> found that the staff of Levine, a man who identifies as a woman, was in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trans-identifying-biden-official-allegedly-behind-push-to-ditch-age-guidelines-for-transgender-procedures-docs-show">contact with members</a> of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), urging them to remove age restrictions from guidance on sex change operations. These <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.almd.77755/gov.uscourts.almd.77755.591.24.pdf">new documents</a> show that Levine was more involved than previously understood and personally met with WPATH leadership as he lobbied the organization.
“I just got off a very productive call with Rachel Levine,” Joshua Safer, the Executive Director of the Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery in New York, wrote in an August 12, 2021, email to WPATH staffers, including its Marci Bowers, who is currently the group&#8217;s president. “The failure of WPATH to be ready with SOC 8 is proving a barrier to optimal policy progress and she was eager to learn when SOC 8 might be published.”
“My view is that this should be taken as a charge from the United States government to do what is required to complete the project immediately,” Safer went on to say.
An August 19, 2021, email in which both the sender and recipient were redacted said, “I really want to push this agenda forward VERY STRONGLY. At the end of the day the SOC8 will significantly improve the lives of millions of trans people and their families globally. I am meeting with Rachel Levine and her team next week, as the US Department of Health is very keen to bring the trans health agenda forward. I want to make absolutely sure that the commitments we make on behalf of WPATH are real and achievable.”
On July 2, reacting to “Some feedback from a member of Adm Levine’s staff,” WPATH’s Walter Bouman found it “disturbing” to encounter political interference in what he viewed as a medical process. “Just read the email trail, which I found disturbing for a number of reasons…. It is not appropriate to take any feedback from a nonmedical professional seriously… if Washington does not want to launch the SOC8 we’ll do it in Brussels at the European Union.”
But six weeks later, Bouman seemed to make peace with it. On August 21, he wrote, “What was agreed in the past, may be obsolete in the present. We will discuss this in the Board and get back to you; and i will check what Rachel Levine’s point of view is on these issues.” Meanwhile, one WPATH Executive Committee Agenda includes the note, “Dr. Rachel Levine Meeting Update.”
“The collusion between WPATH and the administration through Rachel Levine is turning into one of the most disturbing medical scandals of this generation,” Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, the Chairman of <a href="https://donoharmmedicine.org/">Do No Harm</a>, told The Daily Wire. “These documents reveal WPATH knowingly put political considerations over the health and safety of children, destroying what little credibility they once had. This behavior violates the oath we all take as doctors. Both WPATH and Levine must be held accountable.”
Other emails show Levine’s staff pressuring WPATH to remove the guidelines, with one WPATH member asking for the minimum ages to be removed, lest they contribute to &#8220;devastating legislation for trans care.&#8221;
&#8220;She wonders if the specific ages can be taken out,&#8221; the email reads. Levine’s requests were met with some pushback from WPATH. “I am a little surprised that we would be asked to do this after all the care and endless discussions by experts to reach this consensus on ages for surgeries. Is Sarah a clinician or surgeon?” one member of WPATH wrote, referencing Levine’s then-chief of staff.
Despite some pushback, Levine and his staff successfully lobbied to remove age restrictions in the new guidelines, with WPATH directly crediting their removal to Levine’s efforts. On August 5, 2022, an email from WPATH, apparently to Levine’s office, said, “It was a pleasure to meet with you and your staff on Tuesday 26 July to discuss the SOC8. We appreciate your constructive comments and are fully aware how certain aspects of the SOC8 will affect the lives of many TGD people and their families in the US. More specifically we heard your comments regarding the minimal age criteria… Consequently, we have made changes to the SOC8 in this respect… They are now not a recommendation from the SOC-8 anymore, but they have been written only as suggested minimal ages.”
An email suggested that Levine&#8217;s actions to influence WPATH were designed to prevent negative media coverage.
“It doesn’t give them the headline. Less direct focus on age. I mean, we have a very high up politician telling us that having the ages specified front and center would politically lead to more attacks and legislative efforts,” a WPATH committee co-lead wrote.
But the change was just window dressing as they planned to move the ages to an “appendix” where they would be less “obvious.”
“We’re still recommending medical interventions for minors,” one comment said.

The apparent about-face comes just after it was revealed that a trans-identifying Biden official pressured an organization to eliminate age requirements for the surgical procedures.
A White House <a href="https://x.com/leorsapir/status/1806432402144690578?s=46&amp;t=Ry4tRhue8IunLXZ29eEvrg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spokesman said</a> plainly that “the Administration does not support surgery for minors” on Wednesday in a comment that came amid a broader controversy surrounding the use of sex change interventions on children.
The statement puts the White House at odds with numerous Democrat states and transgender activist organizations, both of which have waged a campaign to ensure the availability of sex change operations to children. The Supreme Court is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/supreme-court-agrees-to-consider-state-ban-on-transgender-medical-procedures-for-children" target="_blank" rel="noopener">set to consider</a> a Tennessee law that would ban gender surgeries for minors, as well as the administration of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormone treatments. The decision could have serious implications for the <a href="https://www.tennessean.com/story/opinion/columnists/david-plazas/2024/06/25/supreme-court-gender-affirming-care-bans-transgender-rights/74198839007/">24 other states</a> that have passed similar laws that seek to protect children from irreversible medical interventions intended to modify sex appearance.
Staff members for Rachel Levine, the assistant secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services and a man who identifies as a woman, pressured the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) to remove age limits for sex change operations from its transgender standards of care document.

One uncovered email reveals that Sarah Boateng, who previously served as Levine’s chief of staff, argued that age limits could contribute to &#8220;devastating legislation for trans care.&#8221;
&#8220;She wonders if the specific ages can be taken out,&#8221; an email from a WPATH member reads. A separate email explained that Levine &#8220;was very concerned that having ages (mainly for surgery) will affect access to care for trans youth and maybe adults, too.”
&#8220;Apparently the situation in the U.S.A. is terrible and she and the Biden administration worried that having ages in the document will make matters worse. She asked us to remove them,&#8221; the email reads.
WPATH publishes a “standards of care” document, with the 2021 draft originally suggesting various different age limits depending on the procedure, such as 17 for genital surgeries or hysterectomies, 16 for breast augmentation or facial surgeries, 15 for mastectomies and 14 for hormonal treatments. The final 2022 WPATH document did not include any age limits, however.
President Joe Biden previously spoke out against states that have banned transgender medical interventions for minors, ranging from puberty blocker administration to surgical operations, referencing the pieces of legislation in a <a class="c-link c-link--focus-visible" href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/05/17/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-international-day-against-homophobia-biphobia-and-transphobia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-stringify-link="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/05/17/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-international-day-against-homophobia-biphobia-and-transphobia/" data-sk="tooltip_parent">2023 statement</a> that claimed “more than 600 hateful laws have been introduced this year targeting the LGBTQI+ community, particularly youth.”
The administration even <a href="https://www.scotusblog.com/2024/01/biden-administration-families-ask-justices-to-roll-back-state-restrictions-on-transgender-care-for-minors/">intervened</a> in a case concerning Tennessee&#8217;s law banning transgender medical interventions for minors, coming down on the side of families who sued the state in an attempt to prevent the law from going into effect.

According to a recently unsealed court document, a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trans-identifying</a> Biden official was allegedly behind the push to remove age limits from the official care standards for transgender procedures.
The <a href="https://jessesingal.substack.com/p/unsealed-court-documents-show-that" target="_blank" rel="noopener">document in question</a>, unsealed as part of <a href="https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/63252064/eknes-tucker-v-ivey/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Boe v. Marshall</a> — a case challenging the Alabama law banning certain gender transition-related treatments and procedures — was titled &#8220;Appendix A To Supplemental Expert Report Of James Cantor, Ph.D.&#8221; In the document, Cantor — a Canadian sex researcher — claimed that trans-identifying Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Rachel Levine pushed for the age restrictions to be removed from any official guidelines.
&#8220;Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Rachel Levine strongly pressured WPATH leadership to rush the development and issuance of SOC-8, in order to assist with Administration political strategy,&#8221; Cantor wrote of the changes to World Professional Association for Transgender Health’s <a href="https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/26895269.2022.2100644" rel="">Standards of Care Version 8</a> — which omitted previous age recommendations.
The document also included evidence — in the form of communications between WPATH members — that pointed back to Levine as the source of pressure. Most suggested that Levine, born Richard Levine, was pushing to do away with any age limits that could make it easier for states to restrict access to transition-related puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and even surgeries.
&#8220;I have just spoken to Admiral Levine today, who—as always is extremely supportive of the SOC 8, but also very eager for its release—so to ensure integration in the US health policies of the Biden government. So, let’s crack on with the job!!!&#8221; one read.

Another stated, &#8220;I am meeting with Rachel Levine and her team next week, as the US Department of Health is very keen to bring the trans health agenda forward.&#8221;

The WPATH members reportedly responded to Levine&#8217;s concerns by saying that it was too late in the game to make such changes, but somehow, when the new guidelines were published, the age recommendations had been omitted.

Levine subsequently mocked the critics in an interview with <a href="https://www.advocate.com/news/rachel-levine-transgender-biden-administration">The Advocate</a>, saying, “I felt that it was faux outrage. It was manufactured &#8230; It’s just that this Sunday was Easter, which is a very important holiday and very important event, and it also just happened to be the 31st.”

Levine then cited the iconic &#8220;Star Wars&#8221; films, declaring that the critics were, in reality, afraid: “You know there’s a quote from Yoda &#8230; Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering.”
“This is not a social contagion phenomenon, and we’ve been around forever, hiding in the closet. So, the ability in our society now is not to be in the closet. We need to foster that and to nurture that,” Levine insisted.

Rachel Levine Mocks Critics Who Slammed Biden For Celebrating ‘Transgender Day Of Visibility’ On Easter

When he was nominated to be the Assistant Secretary for Health three years ago, Richard Levine (who, in his 50s, began using the name Rachel Levine) was asked a series of questions by Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky. Paul wanted to know why Levine, as a medical professional, wouldn&#8217;t reject the idea of mutilating the genitals of minors in the name of &#8220;gender affirming care.&#8221; 
Here&#8217;s how the conversation went:

That&#8217;s just a portion of the whole exchange. In the full clip, Levine evades the question multiple times. He just repeats the same rehearsed answer: He says that he&#8217;s more than happy to stop by Paul&#8217;s office at some later date to explain the &#8220;complex&#8221; science behind mutilating children. They go back and forth until Paul finally has to give up. And then at the end of it, as you saw, Democratic Senator Patty Murray from Washington congratulates Levine on his &#8220;thoughtful and medical informed&#8221; answers to Paul.
Ten years ago, this would&#8217;ve been a scene from a dark comedy sketch about a dystopia that&#8217;s just too far-fetched to imagine in real life. This should have been the moment that Levine was disqualified from ever holding public office, much less becoming a senior official in the Department of Health and Human Services. But Democrats and even some Republicans — including Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska — didn&#8217;t see a problem with Levine&#8217;s answer. They voted to confirm Levine after hearing this. These are sitting U.S. senators who, evidently, have no problem with the fact that Levine supports the physical castration of children — even though he could present no evidence that it&#8217;s medically appropriate.

To be clear, Senator Paul was not misrepresenting Levine&#8217;s position in any way. This was not a &#8220;gotcha&#8221; question. Emails unearthed by Megan Brock show that in 2017, when he was the Secretary of Health in Pennsylvania, Levine went looking for data to justify so-called &#8220;gender-affirming care&#8221; for minors. 
Levine <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1310-the-government-accidentally-confirms-that-it-has-absolutely-no-evidence-to-support-so-called-gender-affirming-care-for-minors-member-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> to Nadia Dowshen, the co-founder of the gender clinic at the Children&#8217;s Hospital of Philadelphia, that he was seeking information concerning, &#8220;the possibility of gender confirmation surgery for young people under 18 years of age.&#8221; Levine added that, &#8220;This could include top surgery for trans young men and top and bottom surgery for trans young women. Is there any literature to support this protocol? Please let me know if you have any references.&#8221;
In response, Dowshen wrote, “Hi Rachel, I&#8217;m not aware of existing literature but it is certainly happening. I think we&#8217;ve had more than 10 patients who have had chest surgery under 18 (as young as 15) and 1 bottom surgery (17).&#8221;
Needless to say, after reading that response, Levine did not put an end to these surgeries in Pennsylvania, even when he was told there was no medical evidence to justify them. Instead, Levine continued to hide behind the consensus of various self-appointed medical experts, including the several medical associations that have endorsed this butchery. That&#8217;s what Levine did at the hearing with Rand Paul. And it&#8217;s what he&#8217;s done ever since he assumed office.
A little over a year ago, for example, Levine commented on a viral clip featuring Jon Stewart and the attorney general of Arkansas. I&#8217;ll play a little bit of it to provide some context for what Levine said:

You can see in that clip why the &#8220;appeal to experts&#8221; is so effective. Even people who are on the right side of this issue, like the Arkansas attorney general, don&#8217;t know how to respond to it. The best she can do is say, &#8220;well, my experts disagree with your experts.&#8221; But of course that&#8217;s the wrong response. The right response is that you don&#8217;t need to be an &#8220;expert&#8221; in anything to know that mutilating the genitals of children is wrong. And if anyone claims to be an expert and defends that butchery, then they lose &#8220;expert status&#8221; immediately. It&#8217;s that simple. But for some reason, many on the Right can&#8217;t bring themselves to say that, even as the &#8220;experts&#8221; lie to them about pretty much everything — from COVID to foreign affairs to climate change and even to the mutilation of children.
In any event, Levine saw that clip, and decided it was yet another opportunity to promote these all-knowing medical associations and experts. Here&#8217;s what Levine <a href="https://x.com/HHS_ASH/status/1580277406820012032?s=20">wrote</a> on Twitter: &#8220;Accredited medical professional groups agree that gender-affirming care is medically necessary, safe, and effective for trans and non-binary youth. This is a bluff that Levine has made over and over again, throughout his career. He repeatedly states that there&#8217;s a vast body of &#8220;knowledge&#8221; that justifies these surgeries and procedures. But this time, after that tweet, someone decided to call Levine out on it.
A nonprofit watchdog group called &#8220;Protect the Public&#8217;s Trust,&#8221; or PPT, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hhs-says-it-has-only-two-pages-of-scientific-evidence-backing-its-support-for-gender-affirming-care">filed</a> a Freedom of Information Act request in response to Levine&#8217;s tweet. The request sought &#8220;records of scientific evidence, studies, and/or data to support the Assistant Secretary’s claim that ‘gender-affirming care is medically necessary, safe, and effective for trans and non-binary youth,&#8217;” as well as “records of surveys of medical professionals regarding the value and importance of ‘gender-affirming care’ for minor children.&#8221;
This week, more than a year after Levine&#8217;s tweet, the results are in. We finally have access to this data that Levine promised to show Rand Paul in his office, and which he talks about constantly. In response to the Freedom of Information Act Request, HHS produced a grand total of just one document. And it&#8217;s not a long, well-researched study that proves convincingly why we need to mutilate children. Instead, it&#8217;s a <a href="https://opa.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/2023-08/gender-affirming-care-young-people.pdf">two-page</a> brochure called “Gender-Affirming Care and Young People.” This is all they could produce a year later to support their position.
And the brochure itself isn&#8217;t exactly the most compelling document. The brochure states, as a matter of fact, that puberty blockers are always reversible. But that&#8217;s not true. As even the New York Times <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1310-the-government-accidentally-confirms-that-it-has-absolutely-no-evidence-to-support-so-called-gender-affirming-care-for-minors-member-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> recently, &#8220;A transgender adolescent in Sweden who took the drugs from age 11 to 14 with no bone scans until the last year of treatment developed osteoporosis and sustained a compression fracture in his spine, an X-ray showed in 2021. &#8230; &#8216;The patient now suffers from continued back pain,&#8217; medical records note, describing a &#8216;permanent disability&#8217; caused by the blockers.”
And that&#8217;s not even getting into potential <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1310-the-government-accidentally-confirms-that-it-has-absolutely-no-evidence-to-support-so-called-gender-affirming-care-for-minors-member-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issues</a> with fertility. There are documented cases in medical literature of these drugs having permanent effects, and they&#8217;ve only been in use for a few years.
So the claim in the brochure, which has no citation, is completely false. As more and more children are put on these &#8220;puberty blockers,&#8221; and as time passes, that will be obvious to everyone.
But the brochure provided by the Biden administration doesn&#8217;t stop there. It also claims that, “research demonstrates that gender-affirming care improves the mental health and overall well-being of gender-diverse children.” And as evidence of that claim, the brochure cites one study in a footnote.
This <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1310-the-government-accidentally-confirms-that-it-has-absolutely-no-evidence-to-support-so-called-gender-affirming-care-for-minors-member-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">single study</a>, The Daily Wire&#8217;s Luke Rosiak reported yesterday, supposedly &#8220;showed that transgender-identifying young people were slightly less suicidal when receiving treatment.&#8221; Specifically, the researchers say that they found in a survey group that 51% of trans-identifying young people who were receiving cross-sex hormones were suicidal, compared to 62% who weren’t receiving hormones but wanted them. But even the authors of this study admit that it doesn&#8217;t prove anything about causation. They write, &#8220;causation cannot be inferred due to the study’s cross-sectional design. It is possible that those who historically have higher rates of depression and suicidal thoughts and behaviors are also less able to seek or obtain [cross-sex hormones].&#8221;
This also says absolutely nothing about the long term psychological effects of this “treatment.” They offer no evidence, no research, on that question. None at all. This is the sum total of the evidence that the Biden administration was able to present to justify the castration of children. It&#8217;s a two-page pamphlet that links to a study from three years ago, in which the authors admit that their study doesn&#8217;t even mean anything. This is definitive proof — as if we needed it — that the Biden administration and the medical establishment, along with the entire American Left, jumped on board the &#8220;gender affirming care&#8221; racket without any solid evidentiary basis for doing so.
That is a major problem, obviously, because they are harming children in horrific, unthinkable ways. But also because the burden of proof, for the people in favor of child castration, is especially high. Like I’ve explained many times, the burden of proof is on the people who came along claiming that we can turn boys into girls and vice versa. As they are the ones making an extraordinary claim that contradicts what everyone in the history of the world has always known to be true, they needed to have extraordinary evidence to support their position. Instead they had no evidence at all. Nothing. 
Yet they were believed automatically, while the sane side was required to produce evidence refuting them. Suddenly the burden of proof was on us to prove that you shouldn’t mutilate and castrate children. Of course, we can prove our case a million times over, and we have, but the game was rigged against us from the start. The pro-child castraters wanted documented research showing the actual real world harm of these procedures on kids. But obviously we couldn’t immediately provide very much of that because we didn&#8217;t yet have real world data showing the harm that these drugs would do to kids, for the simple reason that nobody had ever done this to kids before. So they turned a whole generation of kids into lab rats. The kids themselves would become the data.
The only way to explain how anyone fell for this scam is that trans activists are good at one thing, which is emotional manipulation. They perfected the art of emotional blackmail to the point that weak people have allowed this to go on for the better part of a decade. But the ruse isn&#8217;t working anymore. Now people are asking to see the evidence, and there isn&#8217;t any. All trans activists can do is screech as loudly as they can about &#8220;genocide,&#8221; even though no one&#8217;s buying it anymore. We saw this phenomenon play out to a comical degree this week in Florida, which is preparing to pass a bill that would <a href="https://flvoicenews.com/bill-requiring-biological-sex-on-drivers-licenses-pushes-forward-this-is-about-biology/">prevent</a> people from changing their gender on their driver&#8217;s license. No matter what the proposal is — whether it&#8217;s mutilating the genitals of children, or changing the gender on their driver&#8217;s license — the response is always the same. They claim you&#8217;re leaving a &#8220;trail of dead bodies&#8221; if you dare to disagree with their delusions.

The Department of Health and Human Services said it has only two pages of literature supporting Assistant Secretary Rachel Levine’s assessment that “gender-affirming care” is “necessary” for transgender youth, prompting allegations that the transgender-identifying Biden administration official has violated the Department&#8217;s scientific integrity policies by baselessly claiming it&#8217;s settled science.
<a href="https://protectpublicstrust.org/">Protect the Public&#8217;s Trust</a> (PPT), a nonprofit watchdog, filed a Freedom of Information Act request for “records of scientific evidence, studies, and/or data to support the Assistant Secretary’s claim that &#8216;gender-affirming care is medically necessary, safe, and effective for trans and non-binary youth,'&#8221; as well as for “records of surveys of medical professionals regarding the value and importance of &#8216;gender-affirming care&#8217; for minor children.”
In response, HHS produced only a single document—a two-page PDF called <a href="https://opa.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/2023-08/gender-affirming-care-young-people.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Gender-Affirming Care and Young People.”</a> The document is also on HHS’ website and is not a scientific study, but rather a brochure that declares that “research demonstrates that gender-affirming care improves the mental health and overall well-being of gender-diverse children.”
It supports the statement with a footnote to a single study that showed that transgender-identifying young people were slightly less suicidal when receiving treatment — <a href="https://www.jahonline.org/action/showPdf?pii=S1054-139X%2821%2900568-1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">51% who were receiving such care were suicidal</a>, slightly lower than the 62% who weren’t receiving hormones but wanted them. The HHS document also states that puberty blockers are reversible and hormone therapy is partially reversible.
HHS claimed that Levine — a man who believes he is a woman — made no other mentions of “gender-affirming care” in his emails, PPT said. 
PPT on Tuesday wrote to the HHS Inspector General requesting that the office open an investigation, saying that Levine is violating the Department’s scientific integrity policies by making politically-motivated declarations and misrepresenting scientific evidence. 
“This suggests that Assistant Secretary Levine has constantly, continually, ‘everywhere I go,’ made unequivocal statements regarding the medical necessity, safety, and effectiveness of gender-affirming care based entirely upon a single two-page document,” the letter said. 
The complaint, obtained exclusively by The Daily Wire, says that government officials using their stature as science officials to make politically motivated statements and casting them as irrefutable science risks a further &#8220;loss of trust&#8221; in scientific institutions that would be &#8220;cataclysmic.&#8221;
“When asked for ‘records of scientific evidence, studies, and/or data’ and for ‘records of surveys of medical professionals’ to support these claims, HHS was able to provide only a single information sheet – essentially a piece of marketing material with cherry-picked data and agenda-driven assertions,&#8221; the complaint said. &#8220;This is the opposite of science and evidence-based policymaking and flies in the face of the agency’s pledge of ‘adherence to professional practices, ethical behavior, and the principles of honesty and objectivity when conducting, managing, using the results of, and communicating about science and scientific activities.'&#8221;
Michael Chamberlain, the group&#8217;s director, said the agency&#8217;s failure to provide evidence for its claims explains &#8220;why trust in government health officials has evaporated.&#8221;
“When we asked HHS to provide this data, all they offered was a single two-page information sheet with links to cherry-picked, often activist-generated research to justify irreversible and possibly dangerous measures,&#8221; Chamberlain told The Daily Wire. &#8220;Meanwhile, European health services are actively withdrawing their support for these therapies. Even in the face of this, the Assistant Secretary accuses skeptics of ideological motives.&#8221;
Levine has regularly used his role as a science official to declare that “the treatment options for gender-affirming care for transgender youth really are evidence-based,” and opposition to it is “unconscionable.” 
“Gender-affirming care for transgender youth is essential,” he told <a href="https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-transyouth-care/">Reuters</a>.
“There is no argument among medical professionals—pediatricians, pediatric endocrinologists, adolescent medicine, physicians, adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists, et cetera—about the value and the importance of gender-affirming care,” Levine told <a href="https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2022/04/29/1095227346/rachel-levine-calls-state-anti-lgbtq-bills-disturbing-and-dangerous-to-trans-you">NPR</a>. The <a href="https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2022/03/02/statement-hhs-secretary-xavier-becerra-reaffirming-hhs-support-and-protection-for-lgbtqi-children-and-youth.html">HHS website</a> similarly hides behind “science,” saying, “At HHS, we listen to medical experts and doctors, and they agree with us, that access to affirming care for transgender youth is essential.”
Such assertions not only ignore a growing body of scientific literature and experts, but declare that they do not exist, PPT said.  
“These statements not only do not acknowledge the contrary evidence, they assert that there is none,&#8221; the group argues. &#8220;In spite of voluminous scientific evidence from around the world, as well as a growing number of policy decisions in other countries that run in the opposite direction, Adm. Levine has consistently made assertions indicating there is no data, studies, or evidence that contradicts or does not support these statements. The Assistant Secretary has also not only ignored the burgeoning controversy regarding the use of these treatments for minors, but has declared that it simply does not exist, that there is not a modicum of controversy in the scientific or medical communities regarding these treatments.&#8221;
“In fact, the opposite appears to be true. There appears to be little evidence in support of the statements issued by Adm. Levine. HHS was provided the opportunity to present the evidence upon which these statements are based. Instead of producing reams of studies, data, and evidence, the agency was unable to deliver anything but a single two-page information sheet, with a few cherry-picked studies. It is difficult to imagine a more clear-cut case of an official violating HHS’s scientific integrity policies and undermining the state of science in pursuit of a controversial policy agenda.&#8221;
PPT pointed the Inspector General to a significant volume of information rebutting the claim that there &#8220;is no argument among medical professionals&#8221; about gender transitioning.
<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/02/opinion/transgender-children-gender-dysphoria.html">The New York Times</a> this month highlighted children who said they were rushed into a gender transition and regretted it, and therapists who are now skeptical of an &#8220;affirming&#8221; model. Britain closed its transgender clinic and warned doctors that many youth are just going through a phase. Norway, Finland, and Sweden also found a lack of evidence that the benefits of hormones, puberty blockers, and surgeries outweigh the risks.
The authors of a landmark 2019 study that was used to support the idea that gender transitions lead to mental stability later <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/researchers-issue-correction-on-key-claim-in-study-supporting-transgender-surgery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">corrected</a> their study, stating that their data “demonstrated no advantage of surgery in relation to subsequent mood or anxiety disorder-related health care visits.”
To the contrary, the authors acknowledged, “individuals diagnosed with gender incongruence who had received gender-affirming surgery were more likely to be treated for anxiety disorders compared with individuals diagnosed with gender incongruence who had not received gender-affirming surgery.”

The Biden Administration has issued its final report on Biden’s disastrous surrender in Afghanistan, and the report says the Biden decisions that led to the Biden plan that created the Biden catastrophe are the fault of Donald Trump. To show the administration was taking full responsibility for the Biden disaster caused by Trump, the report was thrown out of a speeding car in a brown paper bag on the Friday night before Easter weekend while Joe Biden snuck out of the White House then jumped on a helicopter to Camp David. Fortunately, Defense Department spokesman John Kirby was left behind to take reporters’ questions — although Kirby only became available after chasing Biden’s helicopter for half an hour, shouting, “Come back, please don’t leave me behind to take reporters’ questions.”
The report, written by the late comedian John Belushi, gives a new inside look at the intense war room conferences in which Joe Biden and his advisors designed a plan that would lead to chaos, death and global disorder because of Donald Trump.
In one meeting for instance, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General and Thoroughly Modern Milley arrived late because his adult education class on Understanding White Rage had run long and he had had to rush home to change into a floor-length evening gown with voluminous ruffles cascading down the skirt beneath a flattering pleated waist. Swanning gracefully back and forth across the war room, General Modern repeatedly advised Biden that at least 25-hundred US troops should remain in Afghanistan in order to entertain the Taliban conquerors with an ever-so-fun synchronized dance routine reminiscent of the Rockettes only more gay. General Willy-Milley felt this would atone for generations of systemic American racism with a show of support for LGBT causes until the Taliban finally learned that trans women are women and should be oppressed and beaten just like all their other women. Milley said, “It isn’t fair for the Taliban to murder girls for trying to get an education while boys who dress up as girls are only murdered for dressing up as girls.”
As the meeting continued, Admiral of the Ocean Waves Richard Levine suggested that he or possibly his twin sister Rachel who was conveniently also himself would send a flotilla of ships to Afghanistan to distribute pamphlets to the Taliban explaining why healthy children should be sexually butchered. That suggestion was tabled after it was discovered that the Taliban was already perfectly happy to butcher children, and also Afghanistan is landlocked.
Speaking for the intelligence community, U.S. National Security Director Vladimir Kung Pao said American agents should undermine the Taliban by infiltrating Catholic churches in America. There, the agents could make sure that no one was speaking Latin, which might slow the decay of American culture into a godless miasma of spiritual degradation or otherwise impede the Biden administration’s agenda.
Despite these incisive suggestions from his perfectly selected team of crack military and intelligence advisors, Joe Biden announced that he was the smartest man in the room and had therefore decided he’d have two scoops of the pistachio ice cream after lunch instead of mixing it with one scoop of swirly caramel, and would also pull out all air and materiel support from our Afghan allies so that they would instantly be forced to surrender while at the same time he would abandon our military airfield in the dead of night so that the sun would rise on scenes of panic, desperation, and destruction. Thus our enemies in Russia would witness first-hand the sort of brilliant American military and intelligence leadership that made this such a great time to invade Ukraine.
When reporters asked Defense Spokesman John Kirby why any of this was Donald Trump’s fault, Kirby said, “I can’t answer that question right now because I’m too out of breath from chasing Biden’s helicopter and begging him not to leave me here to answer that question right now.”
White House Spokeswoman Karine-Jean-Identity-Hire did respond to reporters’ questions, however, saying, “This president takes full responsibility for blaming Donald Trump. Now it’s time to leave the past in the rearview mirror and stop even looking in the rearview mirror but instead look to the future where China is conquering Taiwan so let’s stop looking to the future also and just close our eyes and drive blindly until we hit a tree, which will be Donald Trump’s fault.”

In honor of the “Transgender Day of Visibility,” a host of government agencies and departments issued statements pushing gender ideology urging Americans to be &#8220;allies&#8221; of trans-identifying people and decrying &#8220;discrimination.&#8221;
The Naval Sea Systems Command published an article on Friday criticizing states that have banned sex change surgeries for kids and urging Americans to be an “ally” of trans-identifying people.
“Even if you are not a part of the trans community, a great way to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility is being an ally,” a <a href="https://www.navsea.navy.mil/Media/News/SavedNewsModule/Article/3343199/international-transgender-day-of-visibility-offers-a-chance-to-support-freedom/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">press release</a> from the command center read. “There is no one way to be a &#8216;perfect&#8217; ally. The transgender community is diverse and complex, coming from every region of the world, from every racial and ethnic background, and from every faith community.”
The press release adopts woke language about gender being “assigned at birth” and claims that “some state legislatures are advancing bills that target transgender people and limit local protections.”
Over at the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/health-and-human-services" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Department for Health and Human Services</a>, Assistant Secretary for Health <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rachel-levine" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rachel Levine</a>, a man who identifies as a woman, announced in a Twitter video that the department would be flying the transgender flag on Friday over its building in Washington, D.C.
“For the second year in a row, the transgender flag is flying above our department in Washington, D.C. And this is an affirmation of the administration’s support for the transgender community and across the nation, as well as our support for evidence-based gender-affirming care,” Levine <a href="https://twitter.com/HHSGov/status/1641802646351740928" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a video.

HHS Secretary <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/xavier-becerra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Xavier Becerra</a> also put out a <a href="https://twitter.com/SecBecerra/status/1641788717676232705" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweet thread</a> on Friday highlighting what HHS was doing to support the “trans community.” Becerra highlighted that the department had released “guidance to state child welfare agencies that makes clear that states should use their child welfare systems to advance safety and support for LGBTQI+ youth, which includes access to gender-affirming care.”
The General Services Administration also issued a statement saying that it acknowledged “the adversity and discrimination that the #TransgenderCommunity continues to face across our Nation and recognize the strength, resilience, and joy of #transgender, #nonbinary, and #GenderNonconforming people.”
According to activist Charlotte Clymer, the Veterans Affairs Administration even recognized the day, with Secretary Denis McDonough hosting “a small breakfast in his office with trans military veterans to mark Trans Day of Visibility. We discussed service to country, the importance of community, and public policy, notably health care.”

The government-run website Youth.gov <a href="https://youth.gov/announcements/resource-2023-international-transgender-day-visibility" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pushed</a> people toward resources put out by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), a Left-wing group that opposes bills that segregate bathrooms by sex and related legislation.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken also put out a <a href="https://www.state.gov/transgender-day-of-visibility/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> saying that “transgender rights are human rights.”
“We celebrate the achievements and resilience of transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming persons around the world. We recognize their bravery in their hard-fought work for equality, inclusion, and the full recognition of their human rights, which continues to this day,” he added.
USAID recognized the day by <a href="https://twitter.com/USAID/status/1641652842887880704" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pointing</a> to a program that gives taxpayer dollars to groups led by transgender-identifying individuals. Samantha Power, head of USAID, <a href="https://twitter.com/PowerUSAID/status/1641834585930575874" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that she was inspired by individuals around the world who stood up to “misinformation” regarding transgenderism.
In an interview with USAID Senior LGBTQI+ Coordinator Jay Gilliam, the U.S. official, who <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/usaid-senior-lgbtqi-coordinator-jay-gilliam-talks-advancing-global/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spok</a>e at Sydney WorldPride earlier this year, said that USAID was “intentionally and thoughtfully design programs that empower all transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary individuals to be instrumental in the transformation of their own societies.”
Not to be outdone, the National Weather Service even posted a transgender flag to its Twitter account.

A resurfaced clip of transgender federal health official Dr. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rachel-levine" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rachel Levine</a> saying an adult transition gave Levine the chance to be a father is circulating on social media amid Levine&#8217;s recent, full-throated advocacy for sex changes for minors.
In the clip Levine, who is assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), says &#8220;I have no regrets” about transitioning later in life, the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11872347/Trans-health-secretary-Rachel-Levine-happy-waited-kids-change-gender.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Mail</a> reported.
Levine began a transition in 2011 at age 54 and having been married to Martha Peaslee Levine for 23 years with two adult children.
&#8220;You know, my transition was very different … I transitioned over ten years,&#8221; Levine said in the 2019 clip. &#8220;Most people don&#8217;t take that long. I have no regrets because if I had transitioned when I was younger then I wouldn&#8217;t have my children. I can&#8217;t imagine a life without my children.&#8221;

At the time, Levine also said that young people aren&#8217;t &#8220;willing&#8221; to wait so long. &#8220;I don&#8217;t know if I was 15 today, if I would take so long,” the HHS official stated.
On Thursday, Levine promoted the Biden administration&#8217;s support for &#8220;gender affirming” care for minors, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/transgender-hhs-official-gender-affirming-care-will-be-normalized" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
&#8220;I can say that you, the children that you serve, the young people that you serve, their families, and you all have support at the highest levels of the federal government,&#8221; the HHS official said during an appearance on a podcast hosted by Connecticut Children&#8217;s Hospital.
&#8220;President Biden supports you,&#8221; Levine added. &#8220;I, as the Assistant Secretary for Health, will support you, and I talk about this topic everywhere I go to get the word out.&#8221;
Levin also slammed critics of medical professionals who advocate for minor gender reassignments, labeling the attacks &#8220;ideologically and politically motivated.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;m a positive and optimistic person, and I choose to be positive, optimistic,&#8221; the HHS official said. &#8220;And I think that the wheel will turn on this, and I think it is not going to be politically advantageous; it wasn&#8217;t particularly in 2022, and so I think that as we look to all the different elections in 2024, I think the next two years are going to be challenging, but I am positive and optimistic and hopeful that the wheel will turn after that and that this issue won&#8217;t be politically and socially such a minefield.&#8221;
