Zohran Mamdani is very, very upset because the federal government has reportedly removed the rainbow gay pride flag from the Stonewall National Monument.
Here’s what Mamdani had to say:

First of all, this is a bit of vindication for me because when everyone was saying that Mamdani was going to establish Sharia law in New York — saying he&#8217;s some kind of Islamist terrorist — I said, you know, would that it were so simple. In some ways it would be preferable if he were a serious Muslim; you can kind of talk to a Muslim.
I think it&#8217;s worse. I think he&#8217;s not just a far-leftist but a millennial leftist who plays up the Muslim thing because of identity politics. He knows it will help win over some immigrants. There’s also a radical Left and Muslim alliance because they have a common enemy, which is America and the Church and the white man or whatever — you know, the usual enemies of the Left.
And so, I said that&#8217;s true. But if push comes to shove, he&#8217;s going to side with leftism over Islam. Just like when push comes to shove, Joe Biden says he&#8217;s Catholic and he&#8217;s liberal. But when there&#8217;s a conflict between the two, he always picks liberalism. He never picks Catholicism. So his real faith is liberalism.
And that was my argument with Mamdani. And I think I&#8217;m totally vindicated in that. 
Now, Mamdani is very upset because Trump took the pride flags away from Stonewall.
What is Stonewall? The Stonewall Inn was a filthy, truly degenerate, disease-ridden, Mafia-run bar. It was a hive of crime, decadence, and debauchery in New York City. And then, when the cops raided the filthy, illegal Mafia-run bar — not illegal because it was hosting gay people  — when that happened, a bunch of sexual deviants, including famously a trans-identifying guy, started chucking bricks at the cops. As a result, we now side with the gay Mafia bar attacking cops. That is the thing that we&#8217;ve exalted as a national monument. But because it&#8217;s a national monument, the federal government has a say over it.
And Trump has come out and said, look, you can fly the US flag at federal properties, you can fly certain military flags like missing-in-action, prisoner-of-war flags, but that&#8217;s basically it. You know, the flag of the Army or the Navy or something where that&#8217;s appropriate, but that&#8217;s it. We&#8217;re not doing the BLM flag. We&#8217;re not doing the gay flag. We&#8217;re not doing the trans flag. We&#8217;re not doing the terrorist trans flag — I call that the terrorist gay flag. So the federal government said we&#8217;re not doing that.
But it begs the question: why do we have a national monument to Stonewall in the first place? What do we have a national monument to weird sex stuff? And why is a liberal New York politician, the most prominent left-wing New York politician, why is he all of a sudden so concerned about tearing down monuments? 
The left has spent ten years tearing down monuments to all of the men who built this country. Monuments to Christopher Columbus — there was a big push for that in New York — constantly defacing the Columbus monument in Columbus Circle. There were also attacks on even Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses Grant, Thomas Jefferson, and certainly on Robert E. Lee.

So all these guys — we&#8217;ve got to tear down all these monuments — and the only monument we have to keep up, the only monument we can&#8217;t tear down, is the weird sex flag on the weird sex place, which was actually a bar run by the Mafia.  
Now, before Republicans get too high on our horse, I just want to point out what the libs are doing is destroying history and tearing down the traditions and fabric of our country, in some cases tangibly, which is bad.
But we want to tear some things down too — maybe not in as blunt a way as the libs do, maybe not in as blunt a way as the Taliban does. We&#8217;re not blowing up the Buddha statues, okay? But we do want to tear things down in the way that you prune a garden, not the way you blow up a Buddha in Afghanistan, but the way you prune a garden. I do want to get rid of the Stonewall National Memorial. It&#8217;s ridiculous. It&#8217;s ridiculous that we have a monument to a Mafia-run gay bar best known for assaulting police officers and for spreading diseases. We should not have a monument to that. That&#8217;s degrading to our country.
You can be nice to people who have some weird sexual behaviors. You can be nice to them. You can be somewhat tolerant of that without putting up a freaking monument to the Mafia gay bar. That&#8217;s insane. Not only should we be taking the pride flag away from that, we should be removing that as a national monument. 
I don&#8217;t want monuments up to people like Malcolm X or Angela Davis. Even if they&#8217;re figures from American history, they represent bad stuff. 
I don&#8217;t want monuments up to the Rosenbergs who were communist spies. 
I don&#8217;t want a monument to someone like Alger Hiss.
I don&#8217;t want them. I don&#8217;t want monuments to people who are bad for this country.
Once again, I made this point in my book Speechless: Controlling Words, Controlling Minds about speech. The false dichotomy when we&#8217;re talking about free speech is between free speech and censorship, when really the real battle is between competing sets of standards, because all societies have standards.
The same thing is true here. The real debate is not: Do we tear down the statues or do we leave them standing? The real question is: Who is worthy of a statue? Who&#8217;s worthy of a monument? Who&#8217;s worthy of veneration as a political matter?

SAN ANTONIO—City officials found a way to flaunt state and federal prohibitions on “pride crosswalks,” and it could come at a high price for taxpayers.
These rainbow-painted stretches of road became a common sight during the Biden years. That has changed since President Donald Trump returned to office, with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy <a href="https://www.transportation.gov/briefing-room/us-transportation-secretary-sean-p-duffy-governors-roads-are-safety-not-politics" target="_blank" rel="noopener">warning</a> governors that “roads are for safety, not political messages or artwork.”
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is one of several red state leaders who expressly prohibited pride crosswalks, <a href="https://gov.texas.gov/news/post/governor-greg-abbott-today-directed-the-texas-department-of-transportation-txdot-to-ensure-counties-and-cities-are-in-compliance-with-federal-and-state-guidelines-regarding-roadway-safety-tex" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a> in October that “Texans expect their taxpayer dollars to be used wisely, not advance political agendas on Texas roadways,” and warning that “any city that refuses to comply with the federal road standards will face consequences including the withholding or denial of state and federal road funding.”
Rather than comply, the City of San Antonio devised a clever workaround to Abbott’s prohibition: it will start painting sidewalks instead.
Construction crews began power-washing a block of sidewalk in the city’s “Pride Cultural Heritage District,” or “gay strip,” as it is locally known, earlier this month. This follows about three months of planning by the city council and “LGBTQ+ Advisory Board,” and is projected to cost taxpayers $170,000.
Several Texas cities initially sought exemptions to Abbott’s ban on political road artwork, requests the governor’s office denied. San Antonio’s decision to plow ahead with its pride sidewalk comes as several Florida towns have done the same in violation of Gov. Ron DeSantis’s <a href="https://www.axios.com/local/miami/2025/08/18/florida-rainbow-crosswalk-removal-key-west" target="_blank" rel="noopener">prohibition</a> on these installations.
Abbott’s press secretary, Andrew Mahaleris, told The Daily Wire that the governor “expects all Texas municipalities to fully comply with his directive on roadway safety and U.S. Department of Transportation guidance and regulations.”
San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones and the San Antonio City Council did not respond to requests for comment.
It is unclear how Abbott or the Transportation Department will penalize San Antonio. But the pride sidewalk already faces steep local opposition from an unlikely coalition.
Pride San Antonio, a nonprofit that organizes pride events, funded most of San Antonio’s original rainbow crosswalk, sued to block the pride sidewalk alongside the San Antonio chapter of the Texas Conservative Liberty Forum.
While the parties to this improbable joint lawsuit have radically different end goals — Pride San Antonio wants to bring back the rainbow crosswalks, while the Texas Conservative Liberty Forum wants to nix all public pride paintings — both groups argue that it is a misappropriation of funds to do so, <a href="https://www.tpr.org/government-politics/2026-01-08/san-antonio-pauses-rainbow-sidewalks-due-to-joint-lawsuit-by-pride-sa-and-texas-conservative-liberty-forum?_amp=true" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to attorney Justin Nichols.
Pride San Antonio, in particular, objects to the astronomical cost of painting the sidewalk, noting in the lawsuit that it spent $4,690 in 2023 on maintenance for the pride crosswalk, and noted elsewhere that most of the $19,000 that originally went into painting the crosswalk was fundraised, rather than provided by the city.
Texas Conservative Liberty Forum president Joe Garza said both parties “hope the city will hold a public debate and vote on the proposed rainbow sidewalk.” And while he acknowledges that debate will pit his group against Pride San Antonio, he remains committed to the joint lawsuit.
“We believe cities have to make the choice that’s best for them,” he said, “but that elected officials should make those choices, not bureaucrats.”
One such elected official is San Antonio City Councilwoman Misty Spears.
“I believe the elimination of the rainbow crosswalks was an important roadway safety decision made by the state of Texas and not intended to target San Antonio or the LGBTQ community,” the Republican wrote in a statement. “Tax dollars should not fund individual viewpoints.”
Whether or not this lawsuit succeeds, it seems that other Texas cities are hellbent on flouting Abbott’s ban. Oak Lawn United Methodist Church in Dallas decided to paint its steps rainbow in response to the city agreeing to repaint the pride-themed crosswalk.
And Dallas City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert told the mayor and city council that she would continue to look for ways to “allow neighborhoods to express their unique community identity,” according to a December 12 memo.
Neither Tolbert nor the mayors of Austin or Dallas responded to requests for comment.

This Texas City Is Fighting To Paint Illegal “Pride Sidewalks” On The Taxpayer’s Dime

There’s a popular meme that makes the rounds around this time each year.
It shows a dam towering over a tranquil city. Behind the structure lies a burgeoning, rainbow-colored sludge on the verge of breaking through and flooding the inhabitants below. Inscribed on the dam’s face is a date: “May 31st.”
It’s funny because it’s true. Or at least, it used to be.
Rainbow paraphernalia, which was once visible only in a few metropolitan neighborhoods, has been taking over our common and commercial spaces — not to mention our schools — during the month of June for years.
Fortune 500 companies changed their logos (at least <a href="https://www.indy100.com/identities/pride-logo-middle-east-us" target="_blank" rel="noopener">in the West</a>), stores set up expansive Pride displays and sold Pride-branded merchandise, including, infamously, Target’s selection of <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/05/19/targets-tuck-friendly-swimwear-for-kids-sparks-controversy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transgender swimsuits for children</a>. City, state, and federal agencies hoisted the rainbow flag next to the American flag, and traditional and social media pumped out images and videos celebrating everything LGBTQ.
But something’s different this year. Many of the businesses and institutions that used to radiate rainbows every June look a lot like they did last month and the month before that. They appear normal, as if their primary purpose were to provide services and sell products, not to advance a political ideology.
To be sure, some progressive enclaves are still festooned with Pride trappings, and there remains dribs and drabs of rainbow propaganda out there elsewhere, but much of it looks half-hearted at best. Pride parades have been <a href="https://www.ktvb.com/article/news/local/boise-pride-cancels-june-kickoff-event-due-to-low-attendance-despite-strong-online-support-idaho/277-85507887-f32c-4bae-ae4b-366f10d9eda3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cancelled</a> due to low projected attendance, and government buildings that used to fly the rainbow flag have stopped doing so — <a href="https://www.sanluisobispo.com/news/local/article306353226.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">even in California</a>.
What changed? For one, there’s a new president, and he’s busy gutting “trans rights” by <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-sign-executive-order-banning-transgender-athletes-womens/story?id=118468478" target="_blank" rel="noopener">prohibiting men</a> from usurping women’s sports and <a href="https://www.npr.org/2025/01/29/nx-s1-5279092/trump-executive-order-gender-affirming-care" target="_blank" rel="noopener">putting a stop</a> to the poisoning and mutilation of children under the Orwellian misnomer “gender affirming care.”
That’s a mighty blow to the “T” and “Q” in the “LGBTQ” coalition. To be fair, there are elements within the gay community that want nothing to do with the “T’s” and “Q’s.” However, it’s not clear that they can separate amicably or coherently. If the claim is that our sexual desires should have no normative connection to the reality of our physical bodies — which every letter in the rainbow acronym affirms — then embracing “LGB” necessarily opens the door to the “T’s” and Q’s” by relativizing the objective meaning and purpose of the body itself.
So, taking on transgenderism at the political level will necessarily weaken Pride ideology as a whole. And for now, the administration has the upper hand.
Second, corporations have grown skittish of boycotts after Bud Light’s disastrous promotion of the woman-larping man, Dylan Mulvaney. This one’s pretty simple: Bud Light used to be America’s best-selling beer. <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2024/07/18/bud-light-beer-sales-ranking-boycott/74463050007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">It isn’t anymore</a>.
More broadly, conservative activists like The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh, Christopher Rufo, Robby Starbuck, and others, have clarified the cost-benefit calculus for C-suites by putting a steep price on supporting Pride. It turns out that endorsing a radical fringe group that is big online but small in purchasing power while alienating half the country doesn’t make much fiscal sense.
Third, and relatedly, there’s been a palpable cultural shift as the masses have grown tired of the rainbow brigade’s garish frills, manufactured enthusiasm, coercive fanfare (Celebrate!&#8211;or else), and infantile tautologies (“Love is love”).
Initially startled and disoriented by the explosion of Pride into every nook and cranny of society, many have now had the time to step back and ask, “What, exactly, are we celebrating here?”
Bearded men dressed up like clownishly risque women gyrating in front of toddlers at drag queen story hours? Pornographic books in elementary schools? Boys taking over girls&#8217;sports? Young men and women permanently maiming themselves with genital inversion surgery?
Why in the world, normal people are asking, is any of this laudatory, let alone permissible?
The rainbow flag used to come with the cry, “We just want to be left alone.” The majority found those terms acceptable. There was a truce in the culture wars, at least on that front. But then Pride, consistent with its name, got arrogant and greedy and let its true colors show.
It turns out that all those LGBTQ parades, protests, workplace trainings, and school curricula were never about tolerance, or love, or protecting the vulnerable. Rather, their goal was to gain cultural and political supremacy and to silence anyone who stood in the way.
Aptly represented by its <a href="https://www.hrc.org/resources/lgbtq-pride-flags" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ever-more-chaotic</a> symbol, rainbow ideology is and always has been a twisted kaleidoscope of totalitarian perversion. Thankfully, many are waking up and pushing back.

A liberal enclave on the western edge of the deep-red state of Montana is pushing LGBT &#8220;Pride&#8221; to new heights.
The Missoula, Montana, City Council voted 9-2 on Monday night to make the &#8220;Pride&#8221; flag the city&#8217;s official flag. The move flies in the face of a recent bill signed into law in Montana that bans &#8220;Pride&#8221; flags from being flown on government property and schools.
&#8220;Currently, there is only one official flag for the City of Missoula, and that&#8217;s the Pride flag adopted last night. There was no prior official flag,&#8221; Missoula City Attorney Ryan Sudbury <a href="https://nbcmontana.com/news/local/missoula-approves-pride-flag-as-official-city-flag-in-opposition-of-new-law">told</a> NBC Montana.
Missoula&#8217;s &#8220;Pride&#8221; flag designation is already reflected on the Wikipedia page about the city.

Montana Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte blasted the city council&#8217;s move in a statement shared with The Daily Wire.
&#8220;Last night, nine members of the Missoula City Council made clear their top priority is flying a divisive pride flag over government buildings and schools &#8212; all while ignoring the city&#8217;s housing affordability crisis, raising taxes by 17% because of over spending, and refusing to take firm action to end encampments in the city,&#8221; Gianforte said. &#8220;Missoulians deserve better, and fortunately, two council members voted against imposing this divisive, far-left agenda on their community.&#8221;
The sponsor of the resolution, Jennifer Savage — who identifies as queer — pointed to her daughter as a reason she pursued designating the &#8220;Pride&#8221; flag the city&#8217;s official flag.

“When I see the Pride flag, I breathe a little sigh of relief and think my kid is safe here,” Savage said.
Last month, Montana Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte signed HB 819 into law, prohibiting the display of flags on state property that represent a &#8220;political viewpoint, including but not limited to flags or banners regarding a political party, race, sexual orientation, gender, or political ideology.&#8221; Missoula, however, appears to have found a loophole in the law that allows cities to fly an official municipal flag, according to <a href="https://www.kpax.com/news/missoula-county/missoula-city-council-adopts-pride-flag-as-official-city-flag">KPAX</a>. With the city council&#8217;s vote on Monday night, the &#8220;Pride&#8221; flag now meets that designation.
“Leave it to Missoula to try and turn a city flag into a pride flag. Nothing says ‘unity’ like politicizing public property,&#8221; <a href="https://nbcmontana.com/news/local/missoula-approves-pride-flag-as-official-city-flag-in-opposition-of-new-law">said</a> Republican state Rep. Braxton Mitchell. &#8220;The ultra far left Missoula City Council and their mayor are completely out of touch with reality and the values of the vast majority of Montanans. Taxpayer owned property should represent everyone, not just the loudest political movements of the moment.&#8221;
Missoula County <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/11/05/us/elections/results-montana.html">voted</a> overwhelmingly for Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in 2024, 59% to 38%, while former Democratic Sen. John Tester received 66% of the vote in Missoula to just 32% for Republican Tim Sheehy. Trump and Sheehy went on to win the state.
Missoula is also represented at the state level by Zooey Zephyr, a man who identifies as a woman. In 2023, Zephyr was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/montana-house-votes-to-punish-transgender-member-who-said-colleagues-have-blood-on-your-hands">censured</a> by the Republican-controlled Montana House of Representatives for an outburst over a ban on gender procedures on minors.
“The only thing I will say is if you vote yes on this bill and yes on these amendments, I hope the next time there’s an invocation when you bow your heads in prayer, you see the blood on your hands,” Zephyr said.

It’s June again, which means despite mountains of indisputable evidence – massive<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bud-lights-parent-company-lost-over-1-billion-in-revenue-after-dylan-mulvaney-partnership-report"> boycotts</a>, woke Disney <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/snow-white-bombs-with-one-of-disneys-lowest-opening-weekends-for-a-remake">flops</a>, and the re-election of President Donald Trump – certain organizations can’t help but whip out their pride flags and virtue signal to the masses. This cringe-fest is especially dominating the world of sports.
As a prime example, the New England Patriots made their contribution to the rainbow parade with a June 1 post declaring “We celebrate together” alongside a pride flag emoji. The accompanying photo showed a gigantic progress pride flag, which includes an arrow of colors to represent “people of color” and the trans community.

Over in the realm of baseball, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doubling-down-29-of-mlbs-30-teams-celebrate-pride-month">29 out of 30 MLB teams</a> have plans to celebrate Pride month. Is anyone even pretending sports are about sports anymore?
Patriots plus Gillette is a fitting matchup considering that the personal care brand has been drunk on the pro-trans agenda Kool-Aid for years. In 2019, they released an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR-JkiNQ_Ro">ad</a> featuring a father teaching his “transgender” child how to shave. As the biological female tentatively begins the process, the child’s father says, “Now don’t be scared. Shaving is about being confident. You are doing fine.”
And at this point, it’s almost cliche to mention Gillette’s infamous <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJzdSch3hAE">“toxic masculinity</a>” ad from the same year. The best a man can get? Just hours after President Donald Trump was sworn into office, he signed an executive order that shouldn’t be necessary but was made crucial by the Left’s radical gender theory. In one of his first actions as president, Trump signed an order officially recognizing “male” and “female” as the only genders, dashing the hopes and dreams of leftists who have been pushing to muddy the waters on the most basic biological reality. 
The order, titled “<a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal-government/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism And Restoring Biological Truth To The Federal Government</a>,” makes it the official policy of the U.S. government “to recognize two sexes, male and female.” 
“These sexes are not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality,” Trump’s order states. 
The argument is pretty simple. A woman is an adult human female and a man is an adult human male. That sounds familiar — like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/what-is-a-woman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">something Matt Walsh has said</a> before. And for the first time in four years, we have a president who also understands that basic reality. Oh, and the ridiculous term “gender identity” doesn’t mean squat, according to Trump’s executive order.
“‘Gender identity’ reflects a fully internal and subjective sense of self, disconnected from biological reality and sex and existing on an infinite continuum, that does not provide a meaningful basis for identification and cannot be recognized as a replacement for sex,” the incredibly based order states. 
Trump’s ascension back to the White House is beautiful for many reasons, and maybe most of all because common sense is back in power and the craziness of the Left has been kicked to the curb.

Common Sense Vindicated Again: Trump Dismantles The Left’s Effort To Implement Radical Gender Theory

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Trump</a> State Department, headed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has reportedly implemented a policy stating that any U.S. outposts in the country and abroad may fly only one flag: the United States flag.
Flags that were flown at the behest of the Biden administration such as the LGBT pride flag and Black Lives Matter flags will no longer be flown, although the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) emblem and the Wrongful Detainees Flags are permitted to be flown.
The order states, according to <a href="https://freebeacon.com/trump-administration/trump-state-department-tells-embassies-and-outposts-only-fly-the-stars-and-stripes/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Washington Free Beacon</a>, which obtained a copy, “Starting immediately, only the United States of America flag is authorized to be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities, both domestic and abroad, and featured in U.S. government content. The flag of the United States of America united all Americans under the universal principles of justice, liberty, and democracy. These values, which are the bedrock of our great country, are shared by all American citizens, past and present. &#8230; The U.S. flag is a powerful symbol of pride and it is fitting and respectful that only the U.S. flag be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities, both domestically and abroad.”
A State Department employee transgressing the new policy will “face disciplinary action, including termination of employment or contract, or reassignment to their home agency.”

In April 2021, then-Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken authorized U.S. embassies and consulates to fly the rainbow pride flag on the same pole as the American flag. “According to the cable and a State Department official, Mr. Blinken authorized diplomats to fly the pride flag  before May 17, which is the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, and to continue their display at diplomatic outposts through the month of June,” The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/23/us/us-embassy-pride-flag.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
In June 2021, the U.S. embassy in Nassau “raised the rainbow Pride Flag to honor the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons in The Bahamas and around the world,” the State Department stated. “The widely recognized rainbow flag will fly from the flagpole of the U.S. Embassy in Downtown Nassau, and at the Chief of Mission Residence on Sanford Road.”
“The administration also raised the Black Lives Matter flag at the U.S. embassy and consulates in Brazil to celebrate Black History Month in February 2022,” the Free Beacon noted.

There’s religious adherence to the Pride flag during Pride Month, that most holy month.
In Spokane, Washington, they decided to paint a crosswalk with the Pride Progress flag.
You might think there would be a problem painting a crosswalk with Pride Progress flags because people walk and drive over it. It is a crosswalk.
It turns out there was a group of three teenagers who were on Lime electric scooters doing wheelies on the Pride Progress flag and then got caught on tape doing that.

They were arrested and charged with first-degree malicious mischief. They could go to jail because they did wheelies on the Pride Progress flag.
It was later reported they were also doing wheelies in other areas of town as well. 
But — Thou Must Not Have Any Other Gods Besides The Pride Progress Flag. This religion must never, ever be faced with dissent.
Malicious mischief?
Two of the three teens were underage, and they&#8217;ve not been named. So apparently, Lime is now announcing it will be implementing a no-go zone around that crosswalk, which means a scooter driven over the mural will be shut down remotely.
Everyone has to tiptoe right around the Pride Progress flag that&#8217;s on the ground.

The situation in Spokane is like the child’s game “The Floor Is Lava,” except the floor is the Pride Progress flag. Don&#8217;t walk on it. Don&#8217;t do it. If you do, you will be punished.
A press release from the city of Spokane <a href="https://my.spokanecity.org/police/news/2024/06/06/multiple-arrests-make-after-downtown-pride-mural-is-vandalized/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a>, “Officers observed widespread damage as black scuff marks consistent with scooter wheels were observed across the entirety of the mural. The area is clearly marked to keep traffic away as it was just re-painted to repair previous damage.”
“Attached to the [press] release were two photos demonstrating the extent of the damage, both of which showed faint black marks on the street painting consistent with thin tire marks,” The Publica <a href="https://www.thepublica.com/lime-scooters-will-now-shut-down-if-driven-over-pride-flag-crosswalk-in-spokane-wa/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. “The alleged vandalism, which was claimed by many to be motivated by homophobia, resulted in an outpouring of condemnation from Spokane’s LGBT community and those purporting to be LGBT allies.”
A local journalist complained he had seen other teenagers running over the pride mural crosswalk while he was reporting. He state, “A group of five to six kids just started doing donuts and creating skid marks on the Pride Mural.” He said they were also doing wheelies.
As we all know, there are no skid marks anywhere in America on roads. None.
If you don&#8217;t want people to drive on some image, don’t put it on the road. It feels like you&#8217;re daring people.
This is not the first time this has happened. In February, a 19-year-old was arrested after performing burnouts with his truck on a Pride crosswalk in Delray Beach, Florida. He was charged with felony criminal mischief.
This is so tiresome. Not to mention the fact that the media ignore cases where pro-life centers get burned down.
But step on a Pride Progress flag on the sidewalk and they’ll arrest you.

As Pride Month continues, several people have been charged with allegedly defacing Pride flags painted on streets with tire marks, and some critics have even accused them of a hate crime.
In early February, a Florida man was <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/02/14/news/florida-man-dylan-brewer-arrested-for-vandalising-lgbtq-pride-mural/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accused</a> of deliberately doing multiple burnouts with his pickup truck in a Delray Beach intersection that was painted in rainbow colors.
The incident was caught on surveillance video, which police released. It shows a pickup truck with LED underbody lights and an American flag attached to the back, leaving tire marks on the intersection&#8217;s Pride paint while making a hard left after dark.

Dylan Brewer, 19, surrendered to authorities after they searched for him for a week. He was charged with felony criminal mischief, damage to property over $1,000, and misdemeanor reckless driving. He was released on a $5,250 bond.
“Witnesses reported that Brewer was observed intentionally performing multiple burnouts with his vehicle over the LGBTQ pride crosswalk,” the Delray Beach Police Department said. “The reckless action caused significant damage to the streetscape painting, which serves as a symbol of unity and inclusivity for the LGBTQ community.”
The Palm Beach County Human Rights Council declared Brewer&#8217;s actions should be considered a hate crime.
Then earlier this month, three teenagers were arrested and charged with a felony for leaving scooter marks on the Pride flag painted on a street in Spokane. Prosecutors demanded a $15,000 bond for the teens.

The 19-year-old suspect was charged with malicious mischief with a hate crime bias. He was accused of shouting &#8220;f&#8211;k you f&#8212;-t&#8221; at a passerby.
&#8220;We see that you have done this thing,&#8221; one witness <a href="https://www.krem.com/article/news/local/arrests-wednesday-at-newly-painted-pride-crosswalk-mural/293-57722e04-0df0-4484-856e-fed3d7a37c23" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;People don&#8217;t just go and do that without intention. You don&#8217;t destroy symbols without intention behind it.&#8221;

The company also said it was &#8220;immediately instituting a no-ride zone around the mural to protect it from any future vandalism attempts,&#8221; which <a href="https://cbsaustin.com/news/nation-world/lime-enacts-no-go-zone-around-pride-crosswalk-in-washington-after-vandalism-electric-scooters-bikes-pride-month-mural-spokane-police" target="_blank" rel="noopener">means</a> the scooters will shut down if driven over the street&#8217;s Pride paint.

A local Spokane outlet also <a href="https://www.khq.com/news/pride-mural-seemingly-defaced-in-front-of-nonstop-local-crew/article_3e3a635a-245f-11ef-bd88-dbadc982f984.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that more youths left scooter skid marks on the street&#8217;s Pride display the next day. The youngsters also left skid marks on other parts of the street.

A new Washington state law making it a hate crime to deface public installations with the intent of intimidating a protected group <a href="https://www.khq.com/news/lgbtq-mural-defaced-by-arsonist-repainted-ahead-of-spokane-pride-festival/article_14ff7384-22f9-11ef-b1b4-ffcbead507ed.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">went</a> into effect on June 6.
In Bend, Oregon, several vehicles <a href="https://www.centraloregondaily.com/news/local/bend-pride-crosswalk-defaced-graffiti-burnouts/article_14722cb6-2206-11ef-bc97-4791d5921734.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> burned their tires out on a Pride crosswalk, which police said could be classified as speed racing, which is a traffic violation as well as potentially even reckless driving.
In St. Petersburg, Florida residents complained about tire marks on their Pride-themed intersection as well.
“I’m having a hard time believing that it’s not intentional,” <a href="https://patch.com/florida/stpete/recently-repainted-lgbtq-pride-street-mural-defaced-tire-marks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Rachel Covello, who organizes a local LGBT conference and called the police over the tire marks.
In some instances, streets painted in Pride flag colors have been vandalized directly with graffiti, arson, or more paint.
However, critics have argued that simply leaving tire marks or scooter skid marks on the street does not constitute a hate crime.

Veterans get one day. Mothers get one day. Fathers, you guessed it, are celebrated for a single day. But when it comes to celebrating “Pride,” many retailers, corporations, and even government entities, drape themselves in rainbow-colored stripes for the entire month of June.
It’s virtue signaling at its most egregious, and frankly, we find the whole thing despicable. 
Companies jumped into Pride Month again this year even after Target faced major <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/target-releases-latest-pride-collection-complete-with-kids-books-and-rainbow-items-for-babies">backlash and boycotts</a> last summer after debuting a Pride Month collection that included rainbow-adorned baby outfits and, most alarmingly, “tuck-friendly” swimsuits for men who identify as women to hide their genitals. 
The company saw a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/targets-stock-market-value-takes-6-billion-hit-since-backlash-over-pride-collection">$6 billion decrease</a> in market capitalization amid consumer backlash and eventually moved some of the displays to the back of the store or took them down completely. This drama created a “no win” situation for them this year, according to one retail expert. 
&#8220;Scaling back only makes Target look weak without satisfying the desires of its progressive customers or the all-or-nothing demands of troublemakers,&#8221; Carol Spieckerman, president of retail advisory firm Spieckerman Retail, told <a href="https://www.marketwatch.com/story/targets-plan-to-scale-back-2024-pride-month-merchandise-makes-it-look-weak-retail-expert-says-6c8ccd56">MarketWatch</a>. &#8220;Target isn&#8217;t responding to a lack of demand so much as caving to a vocal and hostile contingent that has identified Target as a high-profile example.&#8221;
This year Target has opted to seriously scale back their Pride displays and offer most of the collection online only. 
But the Pride Month homage didn’t go away this year. If anything, it became more egregious. 
Now, Pride Month is even being celebrated by America’s fiercest warriors.
Last weekend, the official Facebook page for the U.S. Navy SEALs and Naval Special Warfare Command showed their support for the beginning of “Pride Month.” With comments notably turned off, the account posted an image with no caption which included rainbow designs that read, &#8220;NSW. Dignity. Service. Respect. Equality. Pride.&#8221;

Government entities also got in on the rainbow-drenched virtue signaling. The official POTUS account on X sent a message from President Joe Biden which <a href="https://x.com/POTUS/status/1796889437181190403">said</a>, “For generations, LGBTQI+ Americans have summoned the courage to live proudly – even when it meant putting their lives at risk.”
The post continued, “This Pride Month, we recommit to realizing the promise of America for all, to celebrating LGBTQI+ people, and to taking pride in the example they set.”
The Department of Defense also <a href="https://x.com/DeptofDefense/status/1796889685450453001">shared</a> a rainbow message which said they intend “to honor the contributions of LGBTQ+ service members.”

MLB, which has zero current athletes who identify as LGBTQ, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/u-s-government-corporations-dive-into-pride-month-homage">noted</a>, also put its support behind Pride month.
“Baseball is everyone’s game. #PRIDE,” the MLB tweeted from their official account, also changing its X profile picture to a rainbow flag behind the MLB logo.
The traditionally conservative <a href="https://x.com/NASCAR/status/1796874338278281372?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">NASCAR</a> made a similar move and claimed they were “proud to support the LGBTQ+ community.” The PBS show “<a href="https://x.com/sesamestreet/status/1796942283662823717">Sesame Street</a>,” which is geared toward children between the ages of 3 and 5, also added rainbows to their social media page to “celebrate and uplift” the “LGBTQIA community.”

Not to be outdone by “Sesame Street,” the kids content producer Ms. Rachel also posted Pride messaging for June. The popular YouTuber, who boasts close to 10 million subscribers, used a singsong voice to both promote Pride and insult anyone in advance for criticizing her views. 
“Happy Pride to all of our wonderful families and friends! This month and every month, I celebrate you. I’m so glad you’re here. I’m so glad you’re exactly who you are,” she <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/matt-walsh-fires-back-after-ms-rachel-posts-pride-month-video-she-doesnt-want-your-business">said</a>. “To those who are going to comment they can’t watch this show anymore because of this support, no worries and much love your way. God bless. I am not chasing fame or views, I’m standing strong in love.”
This is such a common tactic on the Left: pretending that the opposition, the ones standing for norms that existed for centuries, are the ones who are weird and hateful. But you know what’s actually hateful? Forcing the masses to adopt one specific way of thinking and conform to a vocal minority, even if it violates their religious or moral beliefs.

This June, take your funds and put them toward companies that refuse to bend the knee and worship at the altar of Pride.

The Most Obnoxious Pride Month Displays Of 2024

Canadian Conservative Party leader <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pierre-poilievre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pierre Poilievre</a> ruffled a few feathers when he failed to attend a Pride flag-raising ceremony in Ottawa to kick off the start of LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
Poilievre offered a simple explanation for his absence, saying that he was doing far more for the people of Canada if he addressed the issues they cared about rather than showing up to watch someone hoist a rainbow flag.
&#8220;I was working last night, until midnight, fighting against inflation and interest rate hikes, and that was my focus and will continue to be my focus,&#8221; Poilievre said when asked why he had not made it a point to attend the ceremony.
Canada&#8217;s Liberal Party created &#8220;Wanted&#8221; posters highlighting Poilievre&#8217;s absence at the flag-raising, mocking the Conservative Party leader and suggesting he didn&#8217;t want to attend unless he could wear a &#8220;straight pride&#8221; shirt.

But the &#8220;Wanted&#8221; poster appears to have backfired, as critics pointed out that it may not have done the damage the Liberal Party hoped it might — particularly because Poilievre&#8217;s own adoptive father is an <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre-same-sex-marriage-abortion-1.7222881#:~:text=Poilievre's%20adoptive%20father%20is%20gay,Duncan%2C%20for%20two%20prominent%20positions." target="_blank" rel="noopener">openly gay man</a>.
