<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bruce-springsteen">Bruce Springsteen</a> finally got back on the stage for the first time since postponing numerous shows due to his peptic ulcer disease diagnosis, and his new look has caused quite a stir.
The 74-year-old singer hit the stage in Phoenix wearing a red flannel shirt and dark jeans and looking very pale with white hair. But it was his face that got everyone talking, with some suggesting he looked like comedian Ellen DeGeneres and others saying he looked more like actress Tilda Swinton, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/03/21/entertainment/bruce-springsteen-unrecognizable-on-tour-tilda-swinton-ellen-degeneres-comparisons/">New York Post</a> reported.
&#8220;Is that Ellen DeGeneres,&#8221; one person wrote on social media.
Another added, &#8220;I&#8217;m not even trying to be funny when I say I thought this was Megan Rapinoe.&#8221;

The show in Arizona marked the first time Springsteen had performed on stage with his E Street Band since September 2023. Last year, the &#8220;Dancing In The Dark&#8221; hitmaker announced that he was postponing the remainder of his 2023 tour dates.
In a post on <a href="https://x.com/springsteen/status/1707064991172476946?s=20">X</a> to his 1.3 million followers, the singer said per &#8220;doctor&#8217;s advice,&#8221; he was postponing all remaining shows until next year as he continues &#8220;to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease&#8221; and continues treatment. He had previously postponed his August and September shows.
&#8220;All remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024,&#8221; the message read. &#8220;When the new 2024 dates are announced, those unable to attend on the new date who purchased their tickets through official ticketing companies have 30 days to request a refund. All tickets for postponed performances will remain valid for the newly announced dates.&#8221;

&#8220;Phoenix, first I want to apologize if there was any discomfort because we had to move the show last time,&#8221; Springsteen told the crowd. &#8220;I hope we didn&#8217;t inconvenience you too much.&#8221;
Springsteen and the E Street band are set to tour for the rest of 2024, ending up in 17 countries across 52 dates between now and November, the New York Post noted.

Federal immigration officials have arrested several of the illegal aliens who are accused of attacking police in New York City last week.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that the suspects were arrested on Monday evening by ICE and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) officials at a bus station in Phoenix, Arizona.

Four illegal immigrants were eventually apprehended and identified as Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel, 19, Kelvin Servat Arocha, 19, Juarez Wilson, 21, and Yorman Reveron, 24, the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/02/02/news/marine-vet-daniel-pennys-lawyer-blasts-very-confounding-release-of-migrant-mob-who-assaulted-nyc-cops-without-bail/">reported</a>. All four were reportedly released without bail after being charged with assault. Police sources told the Post that a fifth suspect was arrested on Monday night and charged with attempted assault of a police officer.

The illegal aliens were arrested in Phoenix because they were released from jail without bail and reportedly decided that they wanted to flee to California because it is a sanctuary state.

The city of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/phoenix">Phoenix</a> is working block by block to clear an infamous homeless encampment that is the target of a lawsuit from nearby business owners and residents.
On Wednesday, a crew of nonprofit and city workers cleared people, tents, and other belongings from another block of “The Zone,” Phoenix&#8217;s huge downtown homeless encampment that can sometimes <a href="https://www.azfamily.com/2022/04/01/phoenix-homeless-encampment-is-home-nearly-1000-people/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">number</a> nearly 1,000 people.
The crew cleared 13th Avenue between Madison and Jefferson streets, just one section of the sprawling encampment where tents can line the sidewalk for five or six blocks at a time.
The newly cleared area is just around the corner from Old Station Sub shop, which is owned by Joe Faillace, one of the business and property owners suing the city over &#8220;The Zone.&#8221;
The 15 plaintiffs in the lawsuit <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2023/07/07/phoenix-trial-the-zone-homeless-encampment-next-week/70385447007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">say</a> the homeless people who live in &#8220;The Zone&#8221; have perpetrated violence and property damage, harming the plaintiffs&#8217; livelihoods and quality of life. The plaintiffs say they have found stray used needles from drug use and human feces on their property and have witnessed homeless people using drugs and engaging in sex acts in public.
The city has even transported homeless people to &#8220;The Zone&#8221; and refused to enforce the law there, the lawsuit <a href="https://www.goldwaterinstitute.org/what-happened-at-phoenixs-homeless-zone-trial/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claims</a>.
In March, a Maricopa County judge <a href="https://www.goldwaterinstitute.org/victory-arizona-judge-declares-phoenixs-homeless-zone-an-illegal-public-nuisance/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a preliminary injunction declaring &#8220;The Zone&#8221; a public nuisance and <a href="https://www.goldwaterinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/The-Zone-ruling-preliminary-injunction.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ordering</a> the city to clear it by July 10.
The trial in the lawsuit was held earlier this month, but a final ruling has not yet been issued on how much time the city will officially have to clear &#8220;The Zone.&#8221;
“Will the city of Phoenix abate the public nuisance if the court does not mandate them to do so?” Judge Scott Blaney asked during the trial.
The city started clearing the encampment on May 10, and Wednesday&#8217;s cleanup <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2023/07/19/phoenix-clears-block-of-the-zone-homeless-camp-amid-record-heat-wave/70422946007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">marks</a> the fifth block to be cleared.
Last week&#8217;s cleanup came amid a record-breaking heat wave in Phoenix, which had <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix-weather/2023/07/19/phoenix-weather-records-broken-during-heat-wave/70430567007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">already</a> been under an excessive heat warning for several weeks this month. Temperatures were already above 90 degrees when the cleanup crew began working, and the heat had climbed to well over 100 degrees by 11am, when the street had been cleared and a city sanitation truck came by. Photos from &#8220;The Zone&#8221; this week showed homeless residents battling the heat, pouring water on themselves and being handed water bottles from crew workers.
The scorching temperatures <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2023/07/19/phoenix-clears-block-of-the-zone-homeless-camp-amid-record-heat-wave/70422946007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">encouraged</a> homeless residents, especially older residents, to seek shelter and take advantage of the air conditioning inside a nearby community center focused on the homeless.
City officials said the city plans to finish clearing &#8220;The Zone&#8221; over the next nine months, but the plaintiffs&#8217; legal team asked the court to order Phoenix to clear it by the end of the summer.
“Let the city keep doing this good thing without the burden of further court action,” one city attorney <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2023/07/11/phoenix-reveals-how-long-it-wants-to-clear-the-zone-homeless-camp/70404322007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
Phoenix also <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2022/12/01/aclu-sues-phoenix-over-homeless-camp-sweeps-citations/69690675007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">faced</a> another lawsuit from the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona, which sued the city in December over the city&#8217;s cleanups in &#8220;The Zone,&#8221; saying that police cleanups of the encampments “criminalize homelessness.”

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/goldman-sachs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Goldman Sachs</a> recently informed its clients that it expects home values to tank in four major markets across the U.S. amid worsening economic conditions.
The investment bank predicts that San Jose, California; San Diego, California; Austin, Texas; and Phoenix, Arizona; could see a crash on the level of the 2008 housing crash.
Fox News <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/goldman-sachs-says-4-us-cities-will-suffer-2008-crash-home-values" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the market crashes in those cities could be worse than 25%.
&#8220;Our 2023 revised forecast primarily reflects our view that interest rates will remain at elevated levels longer than currently priced in, with 10-year Treasury yields peaking in 2023 Q3,&#8221; Goldman Sachs said in a report. &#8220;As a result, we are raising our forecast for the 30-year fixed mortgage rate to 6.5% for year-end 2023 (representing a 30 bp increase from our prior expectation).&#8221;
&#8220;This [national] decline should be small enough as to avoid broad mortgage credit stress, with a sharp increase in foreclosures nationwide seeming unlikely,&#8221; the report added. &#8220;That said, overheated housing markets in the Southwest and Pacific coast, such as San Jose MSA, Austin MSA, Phoenix MSA, and San Diego MSA will likely grapple with peak-to-trough declines of over 25%, presenting localized risk of higher delinquencies for mortgages originated in 2022 or late 2021.&#8221;
Goldman Sachs said that home prices are also expected to take a small hit in New York City and Chicago. Baltimore and Miami were expected to see small gains.
The report added, &#8220;Assuming the economy remains on the path to a soft landing, avoiding a recession, and the 30-year fixed mortgage rate falls back to 6.15% by year-end 2024, home price growth will likely shift from depreciation to below-trend appreciation in 2024.&#8221;

Many cities that cracked down on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/homelessness" target="_blank" rel="noopener">homelessness</a> have been hit with legal challenges over their new restrictions.
New York City, Dallas, and other cities that tried to aggressively address their homeless problem — and the drug, crime, and public nuisance issues that accompany it — are now <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/as-cities-get-tough-on-homelessness-legal-battles-follow-11673960273?mod=us_lead_story" target="_blank" rel="noopener">defending</a> their policies in court.
In New York City, civil rights groups are attempting to block Mayor Eric Adams&#8217; initiative to hospitalize homeless people who are severely mentally ill and appear to be a danger to themselves.
“If severe mental illness is causing someone to be unsheltered and a danger to themselves, we have a moral obligation to help them get the treatment and care they need,” Adams <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/11/29/nyc-to-involuntarily-commit-more-mentally-unstable-people/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> when he announced the plan.
In December, several civil rights groups <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/new-york-city-plan-to-involuntarily-hospitalize-some-mentally-ill-homeless-faces-legal-challenge-11670540243?mod=article_inline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">asked</a> a federal judge to block the policy, claiming it is unconstitutional and violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.
New York&#8217;s policy sometimes involves confiscating homeless people&#8217;s belongings as they are removed from public property and taken to a hospital. The city&#8217;s move comes amid concerns that the city&#8217;s homeless crisis is becoming more visible and spiraling out of control.
Also last month, Dallas was <a href="https://www.dallasobserver.com/news/dallas-sued-for-banning-panhandlers-from-standing-on-medians-15486363" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sued</a> over its October policy restricting people hanging around road medians, where homeless people often panhandle. City officials said the policy is for public safety because people can get hit by passing cars. However, the homeless people and their advocates who sued the city argued the policy violates their First Amendment rights.
Albuquerque was <a href="https://www.kxan.com/news/national-news/ap-new-mexico-city-sued-for-hounding-harassing-the-homeless/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sued</a> last month by homeless people and the ACLU of New Mexico for removing homeless encampments and arresting and fining people living on the street, allegedly violating their civil rights.
Similarly, Phoenix was <a href="https://www.12news.com/article/news/local/valley/aclu-sues-city-of-phoenix-stop-sweeps-homeless-camp/75-232de857-bdf8-411d-9e13-e8250fe89d70" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sued</a> last month by the ACLU of Arizona over sweeps of a huge homeless encampment downtown.
“Rather than confront its housing crisis head-on and invest in sustainable solutions to homelessness, the City is terrorizing the very people it should be helping,” the complaint reads.
In San Francisco, which has one of the nation&#8217;s worst homeless and drug crises, homeless people and their advocates sued the city for fining and arresting homeless people as a way to get them out of public spaces. They also complained that the city throws out homeless people&#8217;s tents and other belongings without enough warning.
Recently, the Ninth Circuit federal appeals court has limited what some West Coast cities with severe homeless crises can do to address the problem if they can&#8217;t offer appropriate shelter.
“It is a serious, serious, problem, probably the biggest crisis we’re facing right now, and I think these decisions are at the heart of what has gone wrong here,” attorney Theane Evangelis, who <a href="https://www.gibsondunn.com/lawyer/evangelis-theane/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">defended</a> an Oregon city&#8217;s homeless policy in the 9th Circuit, told <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/as-cities-get-tough-on-homelessness-legal-battles-follow-11673960273" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Wall Street Journal</a>.
“They’ve caused paralysis at a time when we need action,” Evangelis said.
A federal judge has temporarily banned San Francisco from taking those actions to combat the homeless issue, citing Ninth Circuit rulings.
Back in 2021, Austin was sued for not doing enough to address the city&#8217;s homeless problem. A group of Austin business owners and others <a href="https://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/save-austin-now-business-owners-say-austin-is-failing-to-enforce-camping-ban-in-new-lawsuit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sued</a> the city for not enforcing its public property camping ban.

Emergency responders said that severe turbulence seriously injured 11 people and injured dozens of others Sunday during a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Phoenix to Honolulu about 30 minutes before landing.
The Federal Aviation Administration <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/dozens-passengers-injured-after-severe-turbulence-hawaiian-airlines/story?id=95515095">told</a> ABC News in a statement Hawaiian Airlines Flight 35 was flying from Phoenix&#8217;s Sky Harbor International Airport to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu when the pilots reported severe turbulence around 10:20 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time on Sunday.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services <a href="https://apnews.com/article/health-phoenix-honolulu-432c1e2bfdf05cd15636fb8c26698255?taid=639fa54e8456220001defd6e&amp;utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&amp;utm_medium=AP&amp;utm_source=Twitter">told</a> The Associated Press that responders treated 36 patients, with at least 20 patients transported for further medical treatment, including serious head injuries, cuts, bruises &#8211; some patients had been knocked unconscious.
The youngest patient treated was 14 months old.
Agency officials said eleven people were in serious condition, and nine were in stable condition.
An airline spokesperson told <a href="https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2022/12/18/multiple-injuries-reported-after-plane-lands-honolulus-airport-following-apparent-turbulence/">local media</a> that &#8220;the airline is supporting all affected passengers and employees.&#8221;
Local media reported The National Weather Service said the severe turbulence occurred at about 36,000 feet.
&#8220;We believe the flight may have gone through a thunderstorm, which may have caused the severe turbulence,&#8221; NWS meteorologist Genki Kino said. &#8220;During that time, there were scattered thunderstorms everywhere.&#8221;
Kaylee Reyes, a passenger, told local media that the incident happened just as her mother had sat down without a chance to buckle her seatbelt.

‘She Flew Up And Hit The Ceiling’: Severe Turbulence Leaves 11 Seriously Injured Aboard Hawaiian Flight

Early Saturday morning, police received a call about an injured child on a street in Phoenix, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/arizona">Arizona</a>, near the city’s largest <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/homeless">homeless</a> encampment.
When police arrived, they found a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/babies">baby</a> that had been abandoned. The baby was pronounced dead on the scene by the Phoenix Fire Department, 12 News <a href="https://www.12news.com/article/news/local/valley/newborn-found-dead-in-central-phoenix/75-48ca5098-7a79-4fff-bb60-626b7a0bbd14">reported</a>.
Police said the infant was believed to have an estimated gestational age between 20 and 24 weeks. The body has been turned over to the Office of Medical Examiner for a postmortem investigation, while police look for information about how the baby was abandoned.
Joel Coplin, who lives near where the baby was found, told 12 News that the scene was “utterly horrific.”
&#8220;They thought it was a doll at first, but it wasn&#8217;t,&#8221; he told the outlet.
Coplin also said he saw the police outside and asked his neighbor about the situation later. His neighbor reportedly saw someone lighting something on fire.
&#8220;[He told me] his fiancé came and was trying to put the fire out, and then he went to stomp on it to put it out and realized it was a baby in there,&#8221; Coplin told the outlet. &#8220;He saw the head, a perfectly shaped head, and little arms, hands, legs, chest. He grabbed his fiance and turned away so she wouldn&#8217;t see it, and he was freaked out. He called 911.”
Coplin added that he wasn’t surprised that something like this would happen in the area.
&#8220;Anything can happen around here,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We&#8217;re right down here in &#8216;The Zone,&#8217; and anything and everything does happen.&#8221;
“The Zone,” is what locals call the homeless encampment, where upward of 1,000 people live in tents. The increase in the homeless population has led to a spike in crime in the area, with theft, assaults, and drugs plaguing the makeshift town, Fox 10 Phoenix <a href="https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/crimes-zone-theft-assaults-drugs-unsanitary-conditions-plague-downtown-phoenix-tent-city">reported</a>.
The outlet found that since 2019, police have responded to 801 incidents within The Zone, 278 incidents in 2020 alone. So far this year, nearly 185 incidents have been called in as of September, putting 2022 on pace to surpass 2021’s total calls.
Thefts are the most commonly reported crime in The Zone, with almost 300 cases since 2019. In the past three years, police have also responded to 229 aggravated assault calls and 130 drug offenses, with fentanyl being one of the biggest concerns.
Robberies, rapes, and burglaries are also reported. There have been six reported murders and four reported arsons as well.
These are just the reported crimes. J.R., who has lived in The Zone for eight years, told Fox 10 that crime is underreported.
&#8220;Not everybody’s gonna tell on you out here,&#8221; he said.

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/arizona">Arizona</a> Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) released a statement Saturday, responding to the riotous behavior of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/protests-hit-cities-across-the-country-following-scotus-abortion-decision">pro-abortion</a> activists at the state’s Capitol building Friday night.
The protests attracted between 7,000 and 8,000 people following the Supreme Court’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/united-states-supreme-court-overturns-roe-v-wade-leaves-abortion-restrictions-to-states">overturning of Roe v. Wade</a> and began as a peaceful demonstration, <a href="https://www.azdps.gov/news/ims/85">according to AZDPS</a>. However, the protest soon turned chaotic as rioters attempted to breach the state’s Capitol building and vandalized historical monuments.
“What began as a peaceful protest evolved into anarchical and criminal actions by masses of splinter groups. As groups realized the state legislature was in session, they attempted to breach the doors of the Arizona Senate and force their way into the building,” AZDPS wrote.
The rioters reportedly terrified state lawmakers who were still in the process of voting on legislation, The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/far-left-rages-across-country-after-supreme-court-overturns-unconstitutional-roe-v-wade-ruling">wrote</a>.
“We are currently there being held hostage inside the Senate building due to members of the public trying to breach our security,” Arizona state Senator Kelly Townsend tweeted. “We smell teargas and the children of one of the members are in the office sobbing with fear. I expect a J24 committee to be created immediately.”

Video from the riot showed Arizona state troopers using tear gas to disperse the activists. “Due to the direct threat to the occupants of the Senate building and damage to the building itself, Arizona State Troopers took immediate action and utilized tactics including the deployment of field force teams and tear gas,” AZDPS explained.

Along with rioters attempting to breach the state’s Capitol building, people also vandalized statues and memorials in Wesley Bolin Plaza. AZDPS released photos of the defacement of historical monuments, showing spray painted phrases such as “Abort the Court,” “F*** SCOTUS,” “F*** GOP,” and “F*** Ducey,” in reference to Governor Doug Doucey (R-AZ).

AZDPS explained that state troopers “exercised patience and application of tactics” as some had “unwisely brought children to the protest turned unlawful assembly.” Authorities deployed tear gas only after multiple warnings to activists to clear the area.

The “Point God” truly lived up to his nickname Thursday night in his perfection.  
In the Phoenix Suns first closeout game of the NBA Playoffs, Chris Paul shot a perfect 14-14 from the field, scoring 33 points as the Suns finished off the New Orleans Pelicans in round one 115-109. 
It hasn&#8217;t been easy for the betting favorites to win the 2022 NBA Finals. Forced to deal with an injury to star shooting guard Devin Booker, the upstart Pelicans gave Phoenix all they could handle, hounding Paul all series long. 
But with a chance to move on to the second round, and get a few extra days of rest, Paul put his stamp on the series. CP3 became the first player in NBA playoff history to make 13 or more shots without a miss, and had the most points in a game without a miss from the free throw line or the field.

Booker made his return to the court after injuring his hamstring in game two, scoring 13 points in 32 minutes. He added five rebounds and three assists on 5-12 shooting. 
“It was really nice to have him back,” Paul <a href="https://www.espn.com/nba/recap?gameId=401430228">said</a>. “All that pressure they’ve been doing against us the whole series, especially the last three games, was tough. (Booker) was on that left wing, and I don’t know if they forgot or didn’t realize who he was, but I saw how they were shifted.”
Phoenix moves on to play Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in the second round after Dallas finished off the Utah Jazz in game six Thursday night.

A pair of Arizona diversity advocates who accused a DJ at a disco-themed charity auction of wearing blackface were left with egg on their own faces when the man turned out to be African American.
Stuart Rhoden, an instructor in ASU’s University College, and Jill Lassen, a librarian who serves as co-chair for the Scottsdale Parent Council (SPC), were quick to accuse the Hopi PTA in an undisclosed email of racism based on photos of the April 9 event. One picture showed DJ Koko Kim Hunter joined by other attendees, all of them dressed in 1970’s themed attire, the <a href="https://arizonadailyindependent.com/2022/04/14/scottsdales-dei-gurus-accuse-black-dj-of-wearing-blackface/">Arizona Daily Independent</a> reported.
Megan Livengood, head of the Hopi PTA, responded to the pair with an angry email of her own, stating that she was &#8220;deeply offended&#8221; by the &#8220;false and hurtful&#8221; accusation.
&#8220;The Scottsdale Parent Council is an organization that claims to encourage diversity and inclusion; accusing the Hopi PTA and myself a hiring a DJ that participated in racist behavior is absolutely against your mission,&#8221; Livengood wrote. &#8220;The DJ that the Hopi PTA hire was, in fact a Black man. It is insulting that you feel myself or PTA condone racist behavior or encourage it by posting on social media. After such a successful event to support our school it’s disheartening to to (sic) believe in organization we pay to be part of (SPC) would send out such an aggressive response without checking the facts first or simply picking up the phone to discuss.&#8221;
A contrite Lassen, a self-described &#8220;ally to the LGBTQ+ community&#8221; who serves as co-chair of the Scottsdale Parents Organization&#8217;s diversity, equity and inclusion committee, and has referred to parents as “super rich White Karens,” told Livengood she was sorry for jumping to conclusions.
&#8220;You are right, we should’ve reached out and inquired before making such accusations,&#8221; Lassen wrote in an email to Livengood. &#8220;I cannot fathom the hurt, anger and frustration you felt after you and others volunteered countless hours on your event. Again I truly apologize.&#8221;
Lassen&#8217;s fellow accuser, Rhoden, “is a member of <a style="font-style: inherit;" href="https://www.scottsdale.org/city_news/susd-rushed-to-form-equity-panel-emails-show/article_1dbb242a-b7d0-11ea-9b64-b7d72df93dd0.html">Scottsdale Unified’s Equity and Inclusion Committee</a> and the <a style="font-style: inherit;" href="https://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/boards/human-relations-commission">Scottsdale Human Relations Commission</a>, which claims to ‘promote all dimensions of diversity’ as an advisory body to the mayor, city council and staff,” the Independent reported.

Rhoden wasn&#8217;t apologetic, insisting improbably on Facebook that he never said Hunter was not black and that it was possible that Hunter was a black man wearing blackface.
&#8220;Let me be clear, a Black man, apparently in Black face is an entirely different discussion than a White person,&#8221; Rhoden wrote. &#8220;However, I did not state that the person was White. It was assumed that was my intent, and perhaps it was, but nonetheless, looking on his FB page (photos below), it seems at the very least he is in darker make-up if not “Black face” or I am completely mistaken and it’s the lighting of the patio.&#8221;
Amanda Wray, a Scottsdale Unified School District activist, blasted the SPC, of which Lassen and Rhoden are a part, for the baseless attack on the larger PTA which funds the smaller group.
&#8220;The SPC is so intent on finding racism they will go so far as to accuse a member of one of the communities they claim to advocate for of reprehensible behavior,&#8221; Wray said. &#8220;This hateful nonsense has to stop. This organization needs to be defunded by every Scottsdale PTA/PTO/APT. If you are an SUSD parent, I encourage you to contact your parent organization and ask that they stop funding this hate group.&#8221;

Woke Diversity Advocates Accuse DJ Of Wearing Blackface. He’s Actually Black.

Attorney General Merrick B. Garland and Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke for the Civil Rights Division said on Thursday that the Justice Department opened a “pattern or practice investigation” into the City of Phoenix and its police force.
The move comes two days after the Phoenix Police Department released edited bodycam footage of an officer fatally shooting a 31-year-old man armed with a knife in July. However, officials did not reference that incident when announcing the probe.
During pattern-or-practice investigations, the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division looks at whether a local police agency has any persistent misconduct patterns that violate the Constitution or federal law. In addition, it explores possible systemic deficiencies that may enable such practices, and investigators interview community members and other criminal justice stakeholders to learn about their experiences with the department in question.

According to the DOJ, the investigation will in part assess use of force by the Phoenix PD, seek to determine whether its officers engage in retaliatory conduct or discriminatory policing, and determine if police have unlawfully seized or disposed of the belongings of homeless people.
“When we conduct pattern or practice investigations to determine whether the Constitution or federal law has been violated, our aim is to promote transparency and accountability,” said Garland. “This increases public trust, which in turn increases public safety.”
Garland said DOJ officials were “pleased” by the “pledge of support” from Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Police Chief Jeri Williams.
The Associated Press <a href="https://www.chicagotribune.com/nation-world/ct-aud-nw-justice-department-probe-phoenix-police-20210805-fnocg3rkwbgirafdhvbarrjd3y-story.html">reported</a> the probe “is the third sweeping civil investigation into a law enforcement agency brought by the Justice Department in the Biden administration and comes as the department has worked to shift its priorities on policing and civil rights.” Biden’s DOJ previously announced pattern-or-practice investigations into police departments in Minneapolis and Louisville.
“One of the highest priorities of the Civil Rights Division is to ensure that every person in this country benefits from policing that is lawful, effective, transparent, and free from discrimination,” said Assistant Attorney General Clarke in a statement. “Police officers across the country must use their authority in a manner that adheres to the Constitution, complies with federal civil rights laws and respects human dignity.”

The FBI arrested an individual late on Tuesday in connection with a drive-by shooting earlier in the day that resulted in a federal law enforcement officer being injured outside a Phoenix courthouse.
&#8220;The FBI is investigating an assault on a federal officer which occurred outside of the Federal Courthouse, 401 W. Washington, Phoenix, AZ around 11:30 a.m.,&#8221; the bureau&#8217;s Phoenix field office said in a statement. &#8220;One person, a court security officer, has been transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.&#8221;
The bureau later added: &#8220;An individual is in custody in connection with the assault on a federal officer &#8230; This is an ongoing investigation. No further information can be released at this time.&#8221;
ABC 15 reported that the suspect&#8217;s vehicle was seen leaving the area after the suspect opened fire on the officer.

The attack comes after two Los Angeles Sheriff&#8217;s Department deputies were shot in the head earlier this week in Compton. The two deputies were rushed to the hospital with critical injuries where they were later met by left-wing protesters who <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/blm-activists-try-to-block-storm-hospital-where-shot-deputies-were-taken-i-hope-they-fing-die">told</a> police officers that they hoped that the wounded deputies died.
“To the protesters blocking the entrance &amp; exit of the HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM yelling ‘We hope they die’ referring to 2 LA Sheriff’s ambushed today in #Compton: DO NOT BLOCK EMERGENCY ENTRIES &amp; EXITS TO THE HOSPITAL,” the L.A.
