Actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/actor-michael-rapaport-signals-shift-on-trump-after-years-of-fervent-opposition-my-political-views-have-changed">Michael Rapaport</a> torched California Gov. Gavin Newsom for the Los Angeles wildfires after Newsom turned his focus on making the state “Trump-proof” ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
In a lengthy rant on <a href="https://x.com/MichaelRapaport/status/1879152133582598389">X</a>, the 54-year-old actor called on Newsom to resign and said the governor was done in the state following the devastation of the three fires in Southern California.
“You thought you were going to be president,” Rapaport blasted. “You’re never, ever, ever gonna be president, Gavin with the good hair. I don’t care how slicked back it is … little Nancy [Pelosi’s] little nephew.”
&#8220;Gavin with the good hair, you have overseen two of the most important cities in California and you’ve ran them, nose-dived into the ground,” he added. “San Francisco is apocalyptic. The Hollywood star said Newsom has been talking about making the state “Trump-proof” when he should’ve been &#8220;fire-proofing California.”
&#8220;You’re talking about Trump this, Trump that. He’s not even president,&#8221; Rapaport blasted. “This is on you. This is on you. You’re the governor … you’re done.&#8221;
The comments were the latest from <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/completely-unacceptable-celebrities-slam-ca-leadership-as-fires-rage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">celebrities who have been blowing up</a> on Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass following the multiple fires that have nearly destroyed whole towns due to days of out-of-control blazes.

“We have a mayor who cut the budget of the fire department in California by over $17 million dollars,” Heaton said in a video posted on <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1877112025207419073">X</a>. “Fire is the biggest hazard in Los Angeles. Why would you cut that budget? There was no water in the fire hydrants in the Palisades.”
“The people running the show just decimated [CA]. Drugs, homelessness with mentally ill people on the streets, crime … taxes. What do you pay all these taxes for to see your neighborhood go up in smoke?” she added.
“It is so enraging,” the actress continued. “That they took one of the most beautiful states, maybe the most beautiful state in the union and just continue to destroy it. Gavin Newsom standing there with his hands in his pockets … I just really feel for everybody there.”

Hollywood star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/patricia-heaton" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Patricia Heaton</a> did not hold back her thoughts about Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and blew up on her and Governor Gavin Newsom as the wildfires continue to burn in Southern California.
In a viral video posted on <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1877112025207419073">X</a>, the 66-year-old actress said it was mind blowing to her to learn that Bass cut the fire department budget by millions of dollars when fire is the number one hazard in the area.
“It is just so heartbreaking to see what’s happening in the Pacific Palisades in California, in Los Angeles,” Heaton said. “So many good friends who worked really hard for years and created beautiful homes for themselves and their families, it’s all going up in smoke, and preventable, by the way.”

The TV star noted how Bass wasn’t even in town during the wildfires because she was taking a “completely stupid trip to Ghana” on “taxpayer funds.”
“Maybe stop doing those trips and fund the fire department,” Heaton said. “The people running the show just decimated [CA]. Drugs, homelessness with mentally ill people on the streets, crime … taxes. What do you pay all these taxes for to see your neighborhood go up in smoke?”

The actress’ comments were similar to ones made by filmmaker and author <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/actress-delivers-brutal-film-critics-take-on-trump-victory-meltdown-videos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Justine Bateman</a> who told <a href="https://x.com/JesseBWatters/status/1877528141951840593">Jesse Watters on Fox News</a> that she was “pretty pissed,” and blasted Bass.
“If you are going to run a city or run a state, you have to take care of the basics, and that’s make sure that your fire and your police department are well funded,” Bateman said, noting that it includes being prepared for when disasters occur in the area like fire, earthquake, rain, and the mudslides afterward.
“If you are not doing everything you can to [mitigate disasters] if they arise, then get out,” she added. “You are useless to us. If you can’t cover the basics, get out of our city. You are useless to us, you are a liability and you have destroyed people’s lives because you didn’t do your job.”
“You didn’t do what we paid you for and you should resign out of shame and responsibility for the people whose lives you’ve destroyed right now,” Bateman continued.

Actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/patricia-heaton" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Patricia Heaton</a> unloaded on media for fomenting fear and anxiety ahead of the 2024 presidential election and especially for targeting the most vulnerable people, many of them women, and convincing them that their lives were in literal danger when President-elect Donald Trump was declared the winner.
Heaton shared her thoughts in a video posted to X on Saturday, and in addition to calling out the media, she suggested that those who had been part of spreading the fear should &#8220;get back on the air&#8221; and tell people that the world was not really going to end.

Heaton began by noting that she&#8217;d just returned after spending a week in Israel — and that she would have much more to say about that at a later date — and she believed Trump&#8217;s election would be good for the Jewish people.
She then turned her thoughts to the wild responses she&#8217;d seen on social media after Vice President Kamala Harris lost her bid for the presidency, and she largely blamed media for convincing so many that a Trump victory would translate to physical danger for them and their families.

&#8220;I&#8217;ve also seen a lot of the response videos — especially from women who are crying, screaming, shaving their heads, saying they&#8217;re going to be jailed or rounded up or killed or hunted or whatever — ugh,&#8221; Heaton said.
&#8220;We need to pray for them. And I just want to say to all you folks who feel that way, don&#8217;t make politics or identity groups your religion!&#8221; Heaton continued. &#8220;Only Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Put your faith in Him, not in men, not in man&#8217;s institutions, not in human institutions.&#8221;
She went on to say that, while in Israel, she&#8217;d visited the sites where Hamas terrorists had assaulted, raped, tortured, and killed Israeli men, women, and children. &#8220;You&#8217;re fine here, you&#8217;re gonna be fine. Don&#8217;t worry about it.&#8221;
Heaton pivoted to address media&#8217;s role in the way things had played out, blaming pundits and talking heads for effectively targeting certain segments of the population with their doomsday rhetoric regarding Trump.
&#8220;To all these extremists that are allowed television time who told women that this is what is going to happen to them, shame on you! Shame on you!&#8221; she said. &#8220;Apparently, there are some really vulnerable people here who you targeted, and you fear-mongered to, and you need to go back on the air and tell them things are gonna be okay, tell them that they&#8217;re fine.&#8221;
&#8220;And also, stop — stop saying that people who voted differently than you are quote-unquote &#8216;uneducated.&#8217; Learn your f-ing lesson about smearing people who feel differently from you, who have different needs from you, and who have legitimate complaints. Quit dismissing them as &#8216;uneducated.&#8217; When are you going to learn?&#8221; she concluded with a heavy sigh: &#8220;All right, have a great weekend.&#8221;

Hollywood star Teri Garr-known best for her unforgettable roles in movies like “Young Frankenstein,&#8221; Tootsie&#8221; and “Mr. Mom” died on Tuesday at her Los Angeles home. She was 79.
A statement from the actress’ publicist Heidi Schaeffer said that Garr died at home “surrounded by family and friends” after she had previously revealed her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2002, the <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/teri-garr-dead-hollywood-tributes-1236047984/">Hollywood Reporter</a> reported.
With more than 140 acting credits in her career, Garr was a staple of TV and movies throughout the 70s and 80s. She made a number of notable comedic appearances — in Mel Brooks “Young Frankenstein” in 1974 alongside Gene Wilder and in the 1982 movie “Tootsie” with Dustin Hoffman, for which she received an Oscar nomination.
In a 2014 interview, Brooks revealed that Wilder suggested Garr for the role of Inga in Brook’s hit.
“Gene told me about this Teri Garr person, and we had some film on Teri,” Brooks said. “And I said, ‘She’s absolutely beautiful — can she act?’ And Gene said, ‘Who gives a shit?’ … Teri came in, read about half a page and we both said, ‘Yay!’
“There was a line she had when <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/cloris-leachman-dead-phyllis-star-oscar-winner-was-94-1014460/">Cloris [Leachman</a>] was undoing the monster’s straps and setting him free, and Teri was on the stairs looking down and she said, ‘No, no — You muzn’t!’ Muzn’t? You’re hired!”
Born in Ohio in 1944, Garr was born to parents who were very involved in show business, with a father working in Vaudeville and mom a Radio City Music Hall Rockette. At a young age, she followed in her mother’s footsteps learning how to become a dancer but eventually got tired of that and turned to acting instead. 
The dancing experience did help her land her earliest roles, however, and she scored parts in six of Elvis Presley’s movies — such as his 1964 movie “Viva Las Vegas” — as well as appearing on various TV variety shows, <a href="https://people.com/teri-garr-dead-tootsie-young-frankenstein-obit-8597701?hid=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc&amp;did=15155829-20241029&amp;utm_campaign=ppl_relationship-builder&amp;utm_source=ppl&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_content=102924&amp;lctg=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc&amp;lr_input=a08f4ce0dc67f7e22d138c82b9ce538ad294bfaca0b145e2f563962e58e05ef7&amp;utm_term=breaking-news">People magazine</a> noted.
Following news of the star’s death, Brooks was one of many in Hollywood who paid tribute on social media to Garr.

Michael Keaton, who worked with Garr in 1983’s “Mr. Mom” gushed about the star. 
“This is a day I feared and knew was coming,” Keaton, wrote on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DBt7QSVSf3m/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=d5936ed2-17df-4293-9da4-93dc8ee4d9cf">Instagram</a>. “Forget about how great she was as an actress and comedienne. She was a wonderful woman. Not just great to work with but great to be around. AND go back and watch her comedic work — Man, was she great!! RIP girl.”
“The Monkees” TV star Mickey Dolenz <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DBuDVfMS_wG/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=8cf40334-5cc3-4075-a165-f06f1d2ade74">wrote</a> that he “had the pleasure of working briefly with Teri in the movie, “Head” and &#8220;always remembered her infectious smile and charisma. A charming talent and now a sad loss.’”
Actress Patricia Heaton recalled working with Garr on one of her sitcoms and said she was terribly sad to hear of the star&#8217;s passing.
“I had the absolute privilege of working with her on “Women of The House“ and she was so talented, so funny, and so kind,” Heaton wrote on <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1851458750617374877">X</a>. “She was a great mom, and she left a comedy legacy to the world that brought us all so much joy. Rest in peace friend.”
Garr and her ex-husband contractor John O’Neil were married from 1993 until 1996. During their marriage they adopted a daughter, Molly. She&#8217;s survived by her grandson Tyryn.

It is described as a “network of Christians standing visibly and vocally against the rise of antisemitism in our country,” founded by Heaton.
“As we head toward the one year anniversary of October 7th, I ask that you please join me in the<a href="https://x.com/hashtag/MyzuzahYourzuzah?src=hashtag_click"> #MyzuzahYourzuzah</a> campaign to show solidarity with your Jewish friends and neighbors, fight antisemitism and bless your household,” Heaton’s <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1838185281834373435">post read</a>, and she shared a video clip of herself as she affixed a Mezuzah on her front door, and encouraged others to do the same.

Heaton has been outspoken in her support for Israel following the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, taking to social media numerous times blasting anti-Semitism and more.

In a post on Wednesday on X, the 66-year-old actress and outspoken Israel supporter called out AOC, whom she noted was silent about the murder of children by Hezbollah, but upset about the wave of explosions of electronic communications equipment of terrorists.

On July 27, a dozen kids were playing soccer on a field in the Druze town in Golan Heights when rockets hit sent by Hezbollah, killing at least 12 kids and wounding a dozen more, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hezbollah-terrorists-murder-numerous-children-in-israel-in-deadliest-attacks-since-october-7">reported</a>.
AOC’s original post claimed that the detonation of the handheld devices seriously injured and killed “innocent civilians,&#8221; labeling the attack a clear violation of “international humanitarian law&#8221; and claimed that it &#8220;undermines US efforts to prevent a wider conflict.”

“Congress needs a full accounting of the attack, including an answer from the State Department as to whether any US assistance went into the development or deployment of this technology,” she added.
As previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/israel-did-not-intercept-hezbollah-pagers-that-exploded-it-made-them">reported</a>, the blasts — which may have <a href="https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-820674">killed</a> 19 and wounded 150 of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members — started on Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. local time when pagers used by Hezbollah started beeping with a message from their leadership.
After a few beeps, the pagers simultaneously exploded across the country, blinding hundreds, tearing off limbs, and leaving gaping holes in bodies.
Heaton has been outspoken in her support for Israel following the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, taking to social media numerous times blasting anti-Semitism and more.
She recently called on others to join her — after an anti-Israel representative labeled any of those supporting Israel and Jewish people “the enemy.”
In a post on <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1788546398452957520">X</a>, the Hollywood actress reacted to a clip of Taher Herzallah, rep for American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), saying, “Anybody who has a relationship with … or identifies themself as a Jewish person or as a Christian Zionist … they are enemy number one. And our community needs to recognize that as such.”

Actress Patricia Heaton, the former star of “Everybody Loves Raymond,” issued a message on the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks on America in which she stated that the same kinds of terrorists who wanted to butcher Americans on 9/11 now target Israel, and, by extension, Americans and all of Western democracy.
“I happened to be in New York City on September 11, 2001 with the cast of Everybody Loves Raymond,” Heaton, a devout Catholic, wrote on X. “It was a terrifying experience. It’s hard to believe now that Israel is experiencing the same horrors. It needs to end.”

“Everybody Loves Raymond” actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/patricia-heaton">Patricia Heaton</a> defended the commencement speech given by Kansas City Chiefs kicker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/harrison-butker">Harrison Butker</a>, which has been getting so much attention.
Critics have been coming after the NFL player for voicing his opinions on abortion, COVID, and President Joe Biden. He’s especially being mocked for statements he made about women finding fulfillment in homemaking and motherhood.
Butker gave the address at <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/colleges">Benedictine College</a>, a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/catholic">Catholic</a> university in Kansas. His supporters, including Heaton, say it makes sense he was voicing Catholic views. 
&#8220;I don’t understand why everybody&#8217;s knickers are in a twist. He gave a commencement speech,&#8221; the actress said in an Instagram video posted on Sunday. &#8220;The audience applauded twice during the speech and gave him a standing ovation at the end, so clearly they enjoyed what he was saying.”

Heaton continued, &#8220;The guy is espousing his own opinions and Catholic doctrine, um, so what? It’s his opinion. He can have one. He’s allowed. He’s not a monster for stating what he believes. He went after bishops much more than he went after women, or what women’s choices are or what he thinks they should be, so I don’t understand.&#8221;

The Hollywood star next related her personal experience back to the speech. 
“I am a Catholic woman who worked through my kids&#8217; childhood, and I believe that God opened those doors for me,&#8221; Heaton told her social media followers. &#8220;And thankfully, it was a schedule that allowed me to also be a full-time mom basically.”
&#8220;I find nothing offensive about what he said, even though my life is very different, and he might even look at my life and say that’s not the way it should be. That’s OK. That’s his opinion. God has used my life, so, I’m just curious as to why people get offended. If you have made choices in your life, and you feel those are the right choices, and you’re comfortable, and they’re working out for you and your family – great.&#8221; 
Heaton concluded, &#8220;And if they’re different from his, that’s great. You do you, and he’ll do him and his family. Relax everybody.&#8221;

The lead singer of Five for Fighting John Ondrasik <a href="https://x.com/johnondrasik/status/1788573820514877844">replied</a>, “I’m in.&#8221; Ondrasik previously called out artists who have been silent amid the anti-Semitism raging on college campuses — like the insane protests seen at places like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/columbia-university">Columbia University</a>, where pro-Palestinian protesters have made Jewish students feel unsafe, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-world-has-gone-mad-five-for-fighting-lead-singer-john-ondrasik-on-why-he-wrote-ok-we-are-not-ok">reported</a>.
The hundreds of comments under Heaton’s post echoed similar statements, with messages like “count me in,” “I absolutely will,” and “add me to the list.”
In a series of several other <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1788547966053044411">posts</a>, Heaton slammed President Joe Biden for abandoning American hostages after he threatened to cut off weapons to Israel.
“Biden has abandoned our citizens.,” the actress wrote, along with a repost of images of five American citizens who are still being held hostage in Gaza.
In a second <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1788548761221767568">post</a>, Heaton included a screenshot of a New York Post headline that read, “Betrayed. Biden vows to cut off weapons if Israel tries to finish off Hamas.”
“This is shameful and dangerous,” Heaton wrote. “WTAF [What in the actual f**k].”
She also included a <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1788551530112487846">clip</a> of Sheik Ra&#8217;ad Salah talking about how they will “conquer the White House&#8221; and promising to destroy America, &#8220;installing a caliphate in every country and forcing Islam in every home.”
“Islam will enter every home in every continent including every home in America,” Salah said.
Heaton replied, “Believe them when they tell you who they are and what they’re going to do.”
The “Everybody Loves Raymond” star then reposted several more posts, one from The Daily Wire’s editor emeritus <a href="https://x.com/benshapiro/status/1788530932787417125">Ben Shapiro</a> who called out the president for his &#8220;disgusting weapons cut-off threat.”
She also shared another post from Ondrasik who <a href="https://x.com/johnondrasik/status/1788574645731353002">wrote</a>, “President Biden abandoned American Citizens and our Afghan Allies to the Taliban. It is shameful, but not surprising, that he now abandons American Hostages and Israel to Hamas.”

Everyone knows that the most commonly practiced religion in Hollywood is the worship of self, even if most celebrities won’t admit it. 
There are also plenty of stars who dabble in New Age practices, who call themselves “spiritual but not religious,” and a solid number of famous people who follow Eastern religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism. 
And while lukewarm “Christians” are prevalent enough in Tinseltown, when it comes to being a Hollywood A-lister, it’s very unlikely that any will admit to being a full-fledged, church-going, sacrament practicing Catholic. It could be that the celebrity lifestyle doesn’t align with Catholicism. Or, perhaps there’s an invisible barrier preventing Catholics from reaching A-list status. More likely it’s a combination of both.
However, there are a handful of Catholic celebrities who wear their faith loudly and proudly. It may mean that they’re shunned by their peers, but despite that, these famous players have decided that their religion means more than fitting in.

Many millennials think of Wahlberg by his former stage name, Marky Mark. Wahlberg has collected plenty of impressive Hollywood accolades including a BAFTA Award, nominations for two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, nine Primetime Emmy Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. 
Besides just achieving success on the screen, the 52-year-old father of four is also a devout Catholic. 
“I attribute everything good and everything positive in life to my faith,” Wahlberg said during a 2023 <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mark-wahlberg-says-once-he-started-putting-my-faith-and-focus-on-god-good-things-happened-to-him" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a>. “As soon as I started putting my faith and focus on God, good things started happening for me.”
“And even when they didn’t, [faith] gives you the coping skills to deal with things that are inevitable, like loss and failure and those things,” he continued. “But, you know, again, my faith and my family, those are the most important aspects of my life.”
In 2022, Wahlberg appeared in “Father Stu,” a movie based on the true story of a boxer who became a Catholic priest. The actor said it was “his calling” and “mission” to get the movie made.
The meditation app Hallow, the most downloaded and used Catholic app in the world, launched a partnership with the actor in 2022 as he was promoting the movie. At the time, Wahlberg urged his 18 million social media followers to pray the rosary with him.

Yes, Lieutenant Dan from “Forrest Gump” is also a practicing Catholic in addition to promoting causes that help veterans.
He said he’s found success despite being openly conservative in Hollywood. 
“I’ve had a blessed career in the movie and television and theater business,” Sinise <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gary-sinise-talks-about-being-a-conservative-in-hollywood-and-how-it-affected-his-career" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in January 2023. “I’ve done amazing things, I’ve worked with amazing people, and it really played a major role, if not the key element, in what I’m doing today on the service side.”
Sinise discussed his journey to becoming Catholic in 2019. He said he was led to the church by his wife, Moira Harris, who converted herself after being cast in a play. The actor said he surprised his family by choosing to join the church about a decade after his wife. 
“I surprised my family. I’d gone through the confirmation classes and whatnot myself behind everybody’s back and I didn’t tell anybody that I was doing it,” he <a href="https://cruxnow.com/church-in-the-usa/2019/02/actor-gary-sinise-describes-his-road-to-the-catholic-church" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Catholic News Service.
“On Christmas Eve 2010 I told the family I was taking them to dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse and have Christmas Eve dinner,” Sinise continued. “And on the way there, I pulled into the church, and everybody asked, ‘What are we doing here?’ I said come on in. We walked into the church. The priest was there, and he confirmed me. It was beautiful.”

He also credits his devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary with helping him be cast in “The Thin Red Line” (1998), which was the starting point of his career.
While filming “The Passion,” Caviezel is said to have experienced a dislocated shoulder, pneumonia, and hypothermia, among other ailments. 
“When I was up there on the Cross, I learned that in His suffering was our redemption. Remember the servant is no greater than the master,” he <a href="https://aleteia.org/2019/03/20/jim-caviezel-gave-what-may-be-the-greatest-catholic-address-of-the-21st-century/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> while addressing a roomful of college students. “Each of us must carry our own cross. There is a price for our faith, for our freedoms. I have been literally scourged, hit by the whips, crucified, struck by lightning, yes, open heart surgery — that’s what happens after five and a half months of hypothermia.”
He spoke about his faith similarly in 2018. “I never thought that being a Christian would be an easy road, but that my heart, even on a cross in the freezing cold, nothing could stop my burning heart from loving Jesus. It’s important. Actress Patricia Heaton is another mainstream actress who was cast on a hit sitcom despite being conservative, and Catholic to boot. She discussed growing up in a devout family during an interview in 2022 after meeting Pope Francis at the VITAE Summit in the Vatican.
“My sister is a Dominican nun,” she <a href="https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2022-09/actors-reflect-on-pope-francis-call-to-promote-common-good-vitae1.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> at the time. “My grandparents met Pope John Paul I. My mom was one of 15 children. I have some 100 first cousins on my mom&#8217;s side. So, we&#8217;re a very Catholic family. Meeting the Pope is such an incredible honor that I never thought I would have.”
Unlike some of her peers, Heaton said she hasn’t been ostracized for her faith.
“As much as people want to paint Hollywood as a sort of anti-religious place, I have found that going into work, we&#8217;re all there to do a job,” Heaton said during the same conversation. “We&#8217;re all there to be professional. We all respect each other. We share opinions, different opinions. And because we love each other and we have a common goal of creating something wonderful for people to enjoy, the differences in our religion or politics or whatever, in my experience on a set, have not been a problem.”
Besides sharing bible quotes with her followers, Heaton also openly discusses how she’s pro-life.

One of the newest Catholic converts in the Hollywood community is actor Shia LaBeouf, best known for getting his start on the Disney series “Even Stevens” and later moving into film roles, including the “Transformers” franchise.
Now the celeb is a practicing Catholic as well after receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on New Year’s Eve 2023. And he may go even further than that.
His sponsor told Catholic News Agency that the 37-year-old star is also considering becoming a deacon in the future. LaBoeuf credited being cast in the film “Padre Pio” (2022) with influencing his decision to convert after going through turmoil and scandals, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/shia-labeoufs-conversion-to-catholicism-becomes-official-confirmation-sponsor-says-he-may-take-it-further" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
LaBeouf said he was “never an atheist,” but was previously agnostic. The actor further explained how the role in “Pio” saved his life.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/patricia-heaton-slams-people-defending-hamas-following-terrorist-attacks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Actress Patricia Heaton</a> reacted to the Irish Women&#8217;s basketball team being trounced by the Israeli team following the Ireland players&#8217; &#8220;overt anti-Semitism&#8221; at the game.
In an <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1755803244494770589?s=20">X</a> post on Thursday, the 65-year-old actress said the &#8220;Irish women&#8217;s basketball team got a good whoopin&#8217; after displaying overt anti-Semitism toward the Israeli team.&#8221;
&#8220;They should have been forced to forfeit the game for their behavior, but that beat down was even better,&#8221; she added.

It came after the Irish women&#8217;s basketball team refused to shake hands before and after the game with the Israeli players on Thursday at the 2025 Women&#8217;s European Championship qualifier in Riga, Latvia, where Israel trounced Ireland 87 to 57, the <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/basketball/2024/02/08/ireland-refuse-shake-hands-israel-anti-semitism-row/">Telegraph</a> noted.
Ireland Basketball previously issued a <a href="https://ireland.basketball/-basketball-ireland-statement-regarding-upcoming-fiba-women-s-eurobasket-qualifier-with-israel">statement</a> in January about how it might not play against the Israeli team when it said it had &#8220;raised strong concerns about these fixtures with Israel, including the option not to play the games&#8221; following the response to the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel that left at least 1,200 Israelis dead.
The game was initially to be played in Israel in November, but was moved to February amid the war in Gaza. 
Two days before the match, Ireland&#8217;s team issued a statement blasting Israeli basketball player <a href="https://www.reuters.com/sports/basketball/ireland-refuse-handshake-with-israel-after-anti-semitism-allegation-2024-02-08/">Dor Sa&#8217;ar </a>who called the team &#8220;quite anti-Semitic.&#8221;

&#8220;It&#8217;s known that they are quite anti-Semitic and it&#8217;s no secret, and maybe that&#8217;s why a strong game is expected,&#8221; Sa&#8217;ar said. &#8220;We have to show that we&#8217;re better than them and win. We talk about it among ourselves. We know they don&#8217;t like us and we will leave everything on the field always and in this game.&#8221;
Before tip-off on Thursday, Basketball Ireland issued a statement that read, &#8220;Basketball Ireland informed Fiba Europe yesterday that as a direct result of recent comments made by Israeli players and coaching staff – including inflammatory and wholly inaccurate accusations of anti-Semitism, published on official Israeli federation channels – that our players will not be partaking in traditional pre-match arrangements with our upcoming opponents,&#8221; the outlet noted.
&#8220;This includes exchanging of gifts, formal handshakes before or after the game, while our players will line up for the Irish national anthem by our bench, rather than [center] court,&#8221; the statement added. &#8220;Basketball Ireland fully supports our players in their decision.&#8221;
Following Ireland&#8217;s team&#8217;s actions at the game, the team&#8217;s head coach James Weldon <a href="https://ireland.basketball/20240208185355-weldon-hails-incredible-maturity-of-players-as-ireland-lose-87-57-to-israel">said</a>, &#8220;I would prefer to be talking about basketball and not this, we didn&#8217;t engage in the pre-match activities as a direct result of those unwarranted and unacceptable comments from the Israeli camp about our players.&#8221;
&#8220;It was hugely disappointing, we came here for a game of basketball, we wanted to win, but didn&#8217;t come out on the right side of the result on this occasion,&#8221; Weldon added. &#8220;We had three international debutants in this game, we&#8217;re building a squad, so there&#8217;s positives to take from this game.&#8221;
After the Israel team&#8217;s victory, Israeli head coach <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/09/sport/irish-womens-basketball-israeli-handshake-spt-intl/index.html">Sharon Drucker</a> said, &#8220;I&#8217;ve been in sports for many years, I&#8217;ve never seen such things in my life.&#8221;
&#8220;There was no game where you don&#8217;t give concessions, shake hands, congratulate each other,&#8221; Drucker added. &#8220;They took a step in an absolute way and they received their punishment today.&#8221;

The 65-year-old actress, who has been outspoken in her support for Israel following the terrorist attack on October 7 that left at least 1,200 Israelis dead, wrote on <a href="https://x.com/PatriciaHeaton/status/1755377574371328079?s=20">X,</a> &#8220;I wish our government would do this for the American hostages…&#8221;
Her post included a video from a portion of the ceremony that took place at the Les Invalides memorial complex in Paris on Wednesday &#8220;in memory of the 42 French nationals&#8221; who were murdered.

In the clip, a violin and piano played in the background as the camera panned to photographs of the citizens who were killed in the attack. Loved ones of the victims were also in attendance.
During the ceremony, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about the attack, calling it the &#8220;biggest antisemitic massacre of our century,&#8221; <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/macron-hosts-memorial-for-oct-7-the-biggest-antisemitic-massacre-of-our-century/">Times of Israel</a> noted.
He labeled the attack, &#8220;barbarism… which is fed by antisemitism and propagates it.&#8221;
The French president also vowed that France would work &#8220;every day&#8221; for the release of the remaining French hostages and said, &#8220;Their empty chairs are there.&#8221;
&#8220;Nothing can justify or excuse terrorism,&#8221; he added. &#8220;All lives are equal, are invaluable in the eyes of France.&#8221;
