Patel also re-posted a message from his girlfriend, country singer and conservative activist Alexis Wilkins. False rumors began circulating about the 26-year-old following the DOJ&#8217;s announcement about Epstein, she says.

Dan Bongino, the deputy director of the FBI, had a tense meeting with Attorney General Pam Bondi and Trump White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, according to a new report.

During a closed-door meeting on the Epstein matter this past week, Bongino raised his voice while speaking to Wiles and stormed out, sources <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/inside-dan-bonginos-tense-meeting-white-house-officials-over-jeffrey-epstein-fallout">told</a> Fox News. Bongino also allegedly exchanged &#8220;heated words&#8221; with Bondi during the same meeting.
Another source agreed that Bongino was &#8220;enraged&#8221; during the meeting, but said the deputy director never yelled at either woman. A White House official similarly said Bongino did not yell at Wiles, per Fox News.

Bondi also said the missing minute from the released Metropolitan Detention Center footage was standard.
“We learned from the Bureau of Prisons that every night they redo that video,&#8221; she said on Tuesday. &#8220;So, every night the video is reset, and every night should have the same minute missing.”
Bondi added that the DOJ is looking to publish additional footage to prove the video reset happens every night.
Despite criticism and allegations that Bongino wants her gone, sources close to Bondi say she has no intention of stepping down. And the White House so far seems to be backing the idea that no one is leaving their post.

Bongino is reportedly furious with Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, which has led many to believe he could walk away from the job that he took in February. The source close to Bongino said that he’s effectively issued an ultimatum, saying he won’t work alongside Bondi.
Bongino left a lucrative career in broadcasting to take the job in the Trump administration. He was not present at the FBI on Friday, after a reported spat with the attorney general earlier this week over the Epstein situation.

The rift between Bongino and Bondi intensified on Wednesday, days after the Department of Justice announced there was no evidence to prove that child rapist Jeffrey Epstein had a client list, had blackmailed powerful people, or had been murdered. Bondi had promised to reveal major details in the case five months ago, when there were no massive revelations to bring forward.
The deputy FBI director, who raised questions about Epstein’s death before he was in the Trump administration, said in May that his review of the file and hours of video recording from Epstein’s jail proved that the child abuser committed suicide. FBI Director Kash Patel also said that the evidence the bureau has reviewed shows that Epstein was not murdered.
A source close to the Justice Department told The Daily Wire that Patel also wants Bondi gone, and that he would consider departing alongside Bongino. The source also said that Patel wants Bondi to unseal more documents.

Now, Bongino is considering sending in his resignation over the fallout with Bondi. While it remains unclear if Bongino will step down, his normally active official social media account has been <a href="https://x.com/FBIDDBongino">quiet</a> since Wednesday, when his frustration with Bondi reportedly boiled over.
One source close to Bongino predicted to Axios, “He ain’t coming back.” Trump administration officials, however, are saying that Bongino remains on the job.
Bondi was criticized after stating in February that she had Epstein’s client list on her desk and then walking that statement back earlier this week when the DOJ revealed that it did not find evidence that a client list exists. The DOJ and FBI were also criticized after releasing over 10 hours of video footage from the hallway attached to Epstein’s jail cell when people noticed that there was one minute of footage missing from the tape.

During that same Cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump blasted a reporter for asking Bondi about the Epstein case.
“That is unbelievable. … I mean I can’t believe you’re asking a question on Epstein at a time like this when we’re having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas,” Trump said. “It just seems like a desecration.”

The Trump Justice Department sued the State of California on Wednesday for a regulation it says raises the price of eggs, poultry, and pork.
The suit, which also names California Governor Gavin Newsom and state Attorney General Rob Bonta, is largely focused on Proposition 12, a 2018 <a href="https://www.cdfa.ca.gov/ahfss/pdfs/regulations/LAO-Prop12.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">law</a> that raised the minimum legal requirements of raising chickens, pigs, and calves among vendors who wish to sell their goods in one of the largest states.
“Through a combination of voter initiatives, legislative enactments, and regulations, California has effectively prevented farmers across the country from using a number of agricultural production methods which were in widespread use — and which helped keep eggs affordable,” the <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1407446/dl?inline=&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a> reads.
The lawsuit reflects President Donald Trump’s <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/delivering-emergency-price-relief-for-american-families-and-defeating-the-cost-of-living-crisis/?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">directive</a> to address the “cost-of-living crisis,” which he laid out in an executive order during his first day in office. It comes after Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/plentiful-and-inexpensive-trump-celebrates-as-egg-prices-plummet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">celebrated</a> the now-low cost of eggs, which fell from $8.17 for a dozen on average in March — the height of the national bird flu outbreak — to $2.54 at the start of July.
The Trump administration hopes to keep with the downward trend of the price of common foodstuffs with this lawsuit, which argues that California’s stringent production requirements are an attempt to supersede the Egg Products Inspection Act of 1970, which sets a federal standard for all egg products.
“Americans across the country have suffered the consequences of liberal policies causing massive inflation for everyday items like eggs,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said. “Under President Trump’s leadership, we will use the full extent of federal law to ensure that American families are free from oppressive regulatory burdens and restore American prosperity.”
According to a new <a href="https://foodpricefix.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from the Center for the Environment and Welfare, these regulations are not actually popular with Californians, but were passed with support from anti-meat activists.
The group has launched a campaign called “Food Price Fix,” which calls attention to groups like Mercy for Animals, the Center for Biological Diversity, and Humane World for Animals, which spent about $13 million lobbying for Prop. 12. These organizations’ <a href="https://activistfacts.com/organizations/center-for-biological-diversity/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">missions</a> include making everyone vegan and bringing “industrial civilization to its knees.”
Prop 12, the report found, raises the price of pork by 20% and the price of eggs up to $10 in some cases since it went into effect in 2022.
“These overreaching laws are a classic example of bad California mandates,” Center for the Environment and Welfare Executive Director Jack Hubbard told The Daily Wire. “Right now, people who have never stepped foot in California are paying the price for Prop 12. American families and farmers shouldn’t be forced to foot the bill for the Golden State’s mistakes.”

Topline: Days after the Trump administration declared the Epstein investigation closed, public outrage continues to grow. Now, some Republicans are calling for the removal of Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The Trump administration released a now-infamous <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1407001/dl?inline">memo</a> Sunday night saying the Jeffry Epstein case was closed, but that is clearly not what many in the GOP base wanted to hear. Some conservative radio hosts and influencers, as well as lawmakers on Capitol Hill, have made clear they don’t believe the official story.
According to their memo, the Department of Justice determined that Epstein’s death was a suicide after reviewing the existing evidence in the FBI&#8217;s possession — critics want to know why they didn’t seek to gather more evidence. 
“I&#8217;m not surprised to hear that within the existing case files, they didn&#8217;t find anything,” Mike Howell, President of the Oversight Project, told The Daily Wire. “The FBI didn&#8217;t fulsomely investigate the Epstein [case] &#8230; They should have investigated with this new leadership &#8230; You had the richest and most powerful people in the world descending on an island where a known massive sex trafficker was. This goes out to the nature of the global elites and their relationship with the intelligence community and law enforcement, which appears to be very preferential. These are massive questions about the functioning of our country and the rule of law, not only the safety of young women.”
For years, the president and his allies have vowed to present evidence on this case to the American people. Both President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, for example, said on the campaign trail that they would declassify the “Epstein Files.” FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino also vowed to prioritize transparency on the case. 
But perhaps the most vocal of all was Attorney General Pam Bondi, who made public statements claiming that there were “tens of thousands of videos of Epstein with children or child porn” as well as other co-conspirators in the case whose names would be made public. In an interview with <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/attorney-general-bondi-under-siege-after-doj-reveals-no-epstein-client-list">Fox News</a> earlier this year, Bondi went so far as to claim that she had a list of Epstein’s clients “on my desk” – the DOJ now claims that document does not exist.

<h2>SCOTUS Sides With Trump Administration, Permits Mass Layoffs</h2>

Topline: The Supreme Court this week cleared the way for President Trump to move forward with plans to shrink the federal bureaucracy.
In February, shortly after taking office, President Trump ordered federal agencies to develop plans to implement the recommendations of the DOGE to reduce the size of the federal workforce. Several federal employee unions and activist groups sued, arguing that the executive did not have the authority to restructure the federal workforce without congressional approval. In May, Judge Susan Illston of the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California issued a nationwide injunction, pausing the Trump administration’s plans.
In an unsigned opinion, the Supreme Court stayed the injunction, while it did not preclude future court cases challenging the legality of specific layoffs. The court’s ruling will allow the Trump administration to implement its proposed workforce reductions.
“There are [going] to be more lawsuits, but I do think [Trump’s] got enough running room to really start going forward with this,”  Hans von Spakovsky, senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Wire. “What people ought to realize is how stupid so many of these lawsuits are. Reductions in force … Almost every president has done that. Heck, Obama did it. And nobody thought it was some kind of legal issue or problem until now, when folks are raving about it and saying that President Trump is somehow doing something wrong.”
Interestingly, the stay appears to have divided the court’s liberal members. While her reasoning differed from the majority decision, Justice Sonya Sotomayor signed a concurrence in favor of it. The court’s most junior member, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, signed a pointed dissent calling the majority decision “not only truly unfortunate but also hubristic and senseless.”
“Brown Jackson is really at the far end of the spectrum and that the other justices are getting tired of her,” von Spakovsky said. “I disagree often with what Justice Kagan and Sotomayor put in their decisions, but they at least try to have a legal basis for what they&#8217;re saying … she just doesn&#8217;t have the legal acumen to be on the court.”

Topline: A flesh-eating maggot has appeared in Mexico, with <a href="https://www.chron.com/news/article/screwworm-maggots-flies-texas-20421558.php?utm_source=chatgpt.com">outbreaks</a> within 700 miles of the United States&#8217; southern border. The pests are spiking fears about potential devastation to U.S. cattle and other livestock. 
A species of parasitic fly, the New World screwworm, spread to Mexico late last year after decades of efforts by the United States to keep the pest out of North America. The adult screwworm lays its eggs in the wounds or other openings (eyes, nostrils, etc) of warm-blooded animals like cattle, other livestock, and sometimes even humans, and consumes their flesh, leading to severe tissue damage or even death – the most recent Mexican outbreak has seen at least <a href="https://mexicobusiness.news/health/news/mexico-confirms-eight-screwworm-myiasis-cases#:~:text=Mexico%20confirms%20eight%20cases%20of,often%20causing%20significant%20tissue%20damage.">eight cases</a> of human infections. They wreak havoc on livestock, in particular – a screwworm infestation can kill a cow in a matter of days. 
On May 11, immediately after the outbreaks were detected, the Department of Agriculture <a href="https://www.usda.gov/about-usda/news/press-releases/2025/06/18/secretary-rollins-announces-bold-plan-combat-new-world-screwworms-northward-spread">suspended</a> live cattle, horse, and bison imports through America&#8217;s ports of entry along the southern border with Mexico. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has repeatedly said the screwworm <a href="https://www.usda.gov/about-usda/news/press-releases/2025/06/18/secretary-rollins-announces-bold-plan-combat-new-world-screwworms-northward-spread?utm_source=chatgpt.com">poses</a> a serious threat “to our livestock industry, our economy, and our food supply chain.” 
After implementing those restrictions, the Department of Agriculture announced its next step to eradicate the screwworm: <a href="https://apnews.com/article/fly-factory-texas-flesheating-screwworm-cattle-5eb62edc42bcfce40cdbea27b5f8b60c">breed billions of flies</a>, sterilize them, and release them into Mexico and southern Texas. Female screwworms only mate once, so flooding an area with sterilized males is an effective way to prevent wild flies from reproducing. The United States has already done this once – the New World screwworm’s historic range extended into much of North America before it was systematically <a href="https://apnews.com/article/fly-factory-texas-flesheating-screwworm-cattle-5eb62edc42bcfce40cdbea27b5f8b60c" target="_blank" rel="noopener">eradicated</a> decades ago – and this method is said to be much safer, more effective, and more environmentally friendly than spraying the pests. 
The Department of Agriculture is also <a href="https://www.usda.gov/about-usda/news/press-releases/2025/06/18/secretary-rollins-announces-bold-plan-combat-new-world-screwworms-northward-spread">monitoring</a> Mexico’s animal health controls and improving surveillance and detection of screwworm, including providing traps, lures, and technical expertise to Mexico, among other measures.  In a press release issued on June 30, the department said it&#8217;s now consistently conducting sterile fly dispersal, releasing more than 100 million flies each week. They also have teams working with Mexico to observe this and say they’ve not seen “a notable increase in reported screwworm cases in Mexico, nor any northward movement of the pest over the past eight weeks.” 
However, 19 different cattle groups <a href="https://www.r-calfusa.com/19-cattle-groups-urge-usda-to-maintain-ban-on-mexican-livestock-imports-amid-screwworm-threats/">sent a letter </a>to Rollins, urging the USDA to keep the ban on Mexican imports in place, as they claim this risk still persists.

I know many, many people are deeply disappointed by the fact that the DOJ and FBI just announced that the Epstein case is essentially closed: that he killed himself, that there is no Epstein List, and that it’s pretty much the end of the process. I get it. Jeffrey Epstein was a total and complete piece of human debris, a predatory criminal who inflicted unspeakable harm on vulnerable underage girls, and he deserved far worse than he got.
But that doesn’t mean that the Trump administration is lying. It doesn’t mean all our questions are answered, or that evidence has been provided to answer them.
But here’s my deal: if Dan Bongino, Kash Patel, Pam Bondi, JD Vance and Donald Trump told me today that after looking at all the evidence, it turns out Epstein was a Mossad agent who trafficked young girls in order to blackmail prominent people, I’d believe them, because they saw the evidence. I haven’t.
But that’s not what they’re telling me.
So why do I believe them? Because they asked the same exact questions the rest of us did. They wanted the same exact answers.
So, here’s the deal: It’s our job to follow the evidence, or lack thereof, wherever it leads. I don’t have more evidence today that answers my questions than I did yesterday – except that I have the word of people I trust who do. I didn’t suddenly gain access to more information. But Dan, Kash, Pam, JD Vance, and Trump did.
Kash Patel and Dan Bongino were among the loudest voices demanding the truth about Epstein. They, like many of us, strongly suspected a cover-up in Epstein’s death and hoped for a bombshell revelation. These guys were never shills for the establishment – they built their reputations by challenging it.
Dan Bongino has been a stalwart defender of truth and transparency. He’s the guy who’s been on the front lines exposing the Russia hoax, the guy who’s been calling out the weaponization of federal agencies, the guy who’s been consistently right about institutional corruption. When someone like that tells you he’s reviewed the entire file and that Epstein killed himself, shouldn’t that carry some weight? Shouldn’t we extend the benefit of the doubt to people who have earned our trust through years of principled stands?

And Kash Patel – this is someone who worked inside the system, who saw the deep state machinations firsthand, who helped expose the FISA abuses and the corruption at the highest levels of government. These aren’t establishment apologists. These are people who have put their careers on the line to expose uncomfortable truths. So when they, along with JD Vance, Pam Bondi, and President Trump, who all operated under the exact same assumptions, tell us that the evidence doesn’t support the conspiracy theories we’ve been entertaining, maybe – just maybe – we should listen.

Again, I understand the skepticism. After years of being lied to by the media, after seeing how institutions have been weaponized against conservatives, our default position has become one of suspicion. And that’s not entirely unreasonable. But here’s what should separate the rational from the irrational: to follow the evidence where it leads, even when it’s uncomfortable, and even or especially when it contradicts our preconceived notions.
And, again, if one day, legitimate evidence emerges that this was a coordinated cover-up and a genuine conspiracy orchestrated by this administration — I’ll be the first to come out and say I got it wrong and they lied. When new evidence emerges, I change my opinion.
That’s what it means to follow the facts.
I understand this is a tough pill to swallow. I really do. We were all making assumptions in similar ways about Jeffrey Epstein. But so were the members of the Trump administration until they saw what we haven’t seen.
For years, we’ve been operating under the collective belief that there were some mysteries to be solved here. The narrative was compelling; it made sense given the evil nature of the crimes at play.
But here’s the thing – and this is where we need to separate emotion from evidence – the facts are what the facts are. The FBI has concluded its investigation. The Justice Department has released its findings. Multiple independent investigations have all reached the same conclusion: Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, and there is no evidence of a client list.
So, let’s go back through this case and examine the legitimate questions – and there were legitimate questions. And then let’s discuss the possibilities rationally, knowing what we know.

<h3>WHAT WERE THE ALLEGATIONS?</h3>
<h3>Ghislaine Maxwell: The Facts</h3>
She was convicted for her role in recruiting, grooming, and trafficking underage girls for the sexual abuse of Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was identified as the main perpetrator.
<h3>So, Who Alleged the Involvement of Third Parties?</h3>
Virginia Giuffre: She claimed that Maxwell and Epstein told her to have sex with Epstein’s powerful friends and associates, including Prince Andrew, Senator George Mitchell, and Alan Dershowitz. She provided zero supporting evidence of these allegations about anyone but Epstein and Prince Andrew, who appeared in a photo with Giuffre and Maxwell in London. Prince Andrew settled a civil lawsuit and did not admit guilt. She had credibility problems: she apparently changed her details many times, including even her age when she met Epstein. She gave a deposition in 2016 in which she contradicted earlier statements about interactions with individuals, including her allegations that she had not been in a helicopter with Bill Clinton. She also dropped her claims against Dershowitz, saying she may have erred. Prosecutors didn’t even include her allegations in the case against Ghislaine Maxwell.

Sarah Ransome: She alleged that Maxwell and Epstein trafficked girls to Epstein’s “colleagues” and powerful men, including Clinton, Trump, and Richard Branson. She provided no evidence to support the allegations. She sued Epstein and Maxwell, and settled out of court. She claimed that she was sexually trafficked when she was 22, that she was threatened, and her passport was removed.
Johanna Sjoberg: She testified about being present with Giuffre, Prince Andrew, and Maxwell, and said Prince Andrew acted inappropriately, but she didn’t allege that Maxwell trafficked her to third parties.
<h3>Why Did Epstein Settle His Original Criminal Case in 2008? </h3>
Originally, he settled under a non-prosecution agreement, after facing a 53-page federal indictment for sexually abusing dozens of underage girls. Prosecutors instead pursued solicitation of prostitution and procurement of minors for prostitution. The non-prosecution agreement (NPA) didn’t just protect Epstein, it protected four named co-conspirators and any unnamed co-conspirators. He served only 13 months in county jail, much of it on work release.
Acosta and his team believed that Epstein registering as a sex offender was better than running through a trial that may have ended the way P. Diddy’s case did. He claimed that it would have put underage girls through trauma.
Multiple Department of Justice reviews found no evidence that Acosta’s decision was motivated by corruption, Epstein’s wealth, status, or associations. The DOJ concluded that Acosta exercised &#8220;poor judgment&#8221; but did not commit professional misconduct or act under improper influence.
<h3>Is There Any Evidence Epstein Was An Intelligence Asset?</h3>
Then-US Attorney Alexander Acosta allegedly claimed that he was told by higher officials that Epstein was “of importance to the government” and to “leave it alone.” Acosta apparently decided to resolve the case through a plea arrangement before the federal investigation had concluded. Acosta, when asked if Epstein “belonged to intelligence,” refused to comment, citing DOJ guidelines. He never publicly made this allegation. He actually said, “There has been reporting to that effect. And let me say, there’s been report to a lot of effects in this case. Not just now but over the years. And again, I would, I would hesitate to take this reporting as fact.”
Zero governments, U.S. or otherwise, have acknowledged Epstein as an intelligence asset.
Epstein’s properties were wired with hidden cameras, and witnesses reported surveillance footage monitored and stored.
Ghislaine Maxwell’s father, Robert Maxwell, allegedly had ties to Israeli intelligence.
Epstein had an Austrian passport with a false name as well as a Saudi address, and worked with Adnan Khashoggi, a known arms dealer and intelligence asset. 
<h3>How Did Epstein Make His Money?</h3>
He started working at Bear Stearns in the 1970s and became a limited partner by 1980. He then founded a consulting firm called the International Assets Group/Intercontinental Assets Group, which claimed to recover stolen money for wealthy clients. He worked with Steven Hoffenberg at the Towers Financial Corporation, which later was exposed as a Ponzi scheme. It’s not clear how involved he was. He then founded the Financial Trust Company, which had essentially one client – Leslie Wexner, of Victoria’s Secret fame – which was the basis for his wealth. Wexner later accused Epstein of misappropriating vast sums of money for personal use. He also received $158M from Leon Black for tax and estate planning services.
Deutsche Bank was fined $150 million for compliance failures related to Epstein; JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank settled lawsuits alleging that they benefitted from his illegal activities.
<h3>Did Epstein Kill Himself?</h3>
The DOJ has run multiple investigations and found that Epstein killed himself.
The DOJ and Bureau of Prisons stated that the missing minute of tape is a recurring technical artifact: the video system resets at midnight every night.
The camera angle didn’t include Epstein’s cell because two other cameras malfunctioned. Available footage, according to the DOJ, would have covered anyone going in or out.
Again, I don’t know the answers to all the questions. But I know people who have far more access to evidence than I do. I know them personally. Maybe they’re all lying to me. Maybe they’re all in on it.
But here’s the thing: if they told me the opposite, I’d believe them. So, here’s what should happen next: a full report from the FBI and DOJ explaining just why they came to the conclusions they did. One that answers our questions as fully as possible – and explains what they don’t know, either. More transparency is a good thing.
But in the meantime, I’m not going to call all of these people liars or suggest they’re victims of an op or running one. Because I have no evidence for that.
And when the evidence changes, I change my position.

President Donald Trump blasted a reporter on Tuesday for asking a question about child rapist Jeffrey Epstein after the Department of Justice concluded that there was no evidence to prove that Epstein had a client list, had blackmailed powerful people, or was murdered.
During a Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump responded when Attorney General Pam Bondi was asked about the DOJ&#8217;s findings in the Epstein case.
&#8220;Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?&#8221; Trump asked. &#8220;This guy has been talked about for years. &#8230; We have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things — are people still talking about this guy, this creep?&#8221;

Earlier this week, the DOJ <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doj-drops-11-hour-video-of-jeffrey-epsteins-prison-cell-on-night-he-died">released</a> an 11-hour video showing the hallway near the cell where Epstein was found dead in August 2019. The DOJ concluded that Epstein committed suicide, saying that the footage, which was previously reviewed by the FBI, confirmed that no one entered Epstein&#8217;s cell in the hours before he was found dead. FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino have also maintained that the evidence proves that Epstein killed himself.
The DOJ and FBI, however, were criticized after people noticed that the footage of the cell hallway released by the Justice Department doesn&#8217;t include a view of Epstein&#8217;s cell door and skips ahead in one portion, leaving out roughly a minute of footage. Bondi addressed the missing video during the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, telling reporters they are investigating whether the prison&#8217;s surveillance system routinely cuts off at that time each night or if it only failed on the night of Epstein&#8217;s death.
Bondi, who said in February that she had Epstein&#8217;s client list on her desk for review, was slammed after the DOJ concluded that there is no Epstein client list. The AG also addressed those criticisms, clarifying that her previous remarks referred to the Epstein files in general, not a specific client list.
&#8220;In February, I did an interview on Fox, and it&#8217;s been getting a lot of attention because &#8230; I was asked a question about the &#8216;client list&#8217; and my response was, &#8216;It&#8217;s sitting on my desk to be reviewed, meaning the file, along with the JFK, MLK files as well,&#8221; Bondi said. &#8220;That&#8217;s what I meant by that.&#8221;
Many people remain skeptical of the DOJ&#8217;s findings on Epstein. Lisa Bryant, the director and executive producer of Netflix documentaries &#8220;Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich&#8221; and &#8220;Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich,&#8221; told &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhKcB0yY_p4">Morning Wire</a>&#8221; on Tuesday that she calls &#8220;BS&#8221; on the DOJ&#8217;s conclusions that there is no evidence that Epstein blackmailed powerful people who allegedly had sex with minors on his infamous island. She also blasted the DOJ for releasing a video that doesn&#8217;t even include Epstein&#8217;s cell door.
Prominent conservative radio host Glenn Beck <a href="https://x.com/glennbeck/status/1942623712471036164">called</a> for Bondi to resign on Tuesday, &#8220;not because of a cover-up, but for incompetence.&#8221;
&#8220;Not only is there a minute missing from the Epstein cell video, BUT IT WASN&#8217;T EVEN THE RIGHT CAMERA ANGLE,&#8221; Beck added. &#8220;What the DOJ gave us was a partial view of the facility, which JUST MISSES Epstein&#8217;s cell. We&#8217;ve known for years there wasn&#8217;t a working camera on his cell, so WHY RELEASE THIS VIDEO? And why not tell us there&#8217;s a video glitch in advance of the release?! This isn&#8217;t about whether Epstein killed himself or not. What matters more is REAL transparency and justice. But instead what we got was absolute INCOMPETENCE in the Attorney General&#8217;s office.&#8221;

Trump Rips Reporter For Asking About Epstein Case As Americans Doubt DOJ’s Conclusions

California on Monday rejected the resolution agreement from the Trump administration to follow federal law and keep men out of women&#8217;s sports.
The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) aligned itself with the California Department of Education (CDE) and refused to sign the resolution agreement. The resolution was proposed on June 25, when the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced the conclusion of its Title IX investigations into the state for allegations of discrimination against women and girls on the basis of sex.
Federal officials found that California was in clear violation of Title IX.
“As a result of the noncompliance finding, OCR has issued a proposed Resolution Agreement to CDE and CIF to resolve their Title IX violations,” the U.S. Department of Education <a href="https://www.ed.gov/about/news/press-release/us-department-of-education-finds-california-department-of-education-and-california-interscholastic-federation-violation-of-title-ix">said</a> in a press release issued last month. “OCR has offered both entities an opportunity to voluntarily agree to change these unlawful practices within 10 days or risk imminent enforcement action, including referral to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for proceedings.
In March, California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, in a move widely regarded as an attempt to distance himself from his leftist record and position himself for a future presidential run, <a href="https://calmatters.org/politics/2025/03/newsom-transgender-athletes/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> on his podcast that he opposed men competing in women&#8217;s sports. When criticisms were made of a high school boy who had won a regional meet, Newsom responded, “I think it’s an issue of fairness. I completely agree with you on that. It is an issue of fairness. It’s deeply unfair. I’m not wrestling with the fairness issue. I totally agree with you.”
After the CIF informed the CDE on Monday that it would not sign the resolution agreement, Education Secretary Linda McMahon wrote on X, “Turns out Gov. Newsom’s acknowledgment that ‘it’s an issue of fairness’ was empty political grandstanding,” adding, &#8220;You&#8217;ll be hearing from (Attorney General Pam Bondi).&#8221;

The Department of Justice <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/national-health-care-fraud-takedown-results-324-defendants-charged-connection-over-146" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the results of its annual healthcare fraud “takedown” this week, in which they charged 324 defendants with $14.6 billion of medical fraud.
Defendants include 96 licensed medical professionals “in 50 federal districts and 12 State Attorneys General’s Offices across the United States.”
“With more than $13 billion in fraud uncovered, this is the largest takedown for this initiative to date,” said FBI director Kash Patel. The <a href="https://www.justice.gov/criminal/criminal-fraud/health-care-fraud-unit" target="_blank" rel="noopener">initiative</a> identified $2.75 billion in fraud in 2024 and $2.5 billion in 2023.
“The government seized over $245 million in cash, luxury vehicles, cryptocurrency, and other assets,” the Justice Department stated.
In addition, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services “prevented over $4 billion from being paid in response to false and fraudulent claims and that it suspended or revoked the billing privileges of 205 providers in the months leading up to the Takedown.” Civil charges and settlements amount to another $48.5 million.
The busted fraud schemes involve identity theft, fraudulent wound care, prescription opioid trafficking, and fake telemedicine claims.
One transnational criminal organization alone was responsible for $10.6 billion of the $14.6 billion in total fraud identified.
A network of foreign individuals “strategically bought dozens of medical supply companies located across the United States,” then used the stolen identities of over a million Americans to submit fraudulent Medicare claims for “urinary catheters and other durable medical equipment.”
In another case, foreign individuals relied on artificial intelligence to carry out identity theft.
“The defendants allegedly used artificial intelligence to create fake recordings of Medicare beneficiaries purportedly consenting to receive certain products,” the Justice Department says. The recordings were then “sold to laboratories and durable medical equipment companies, which used this unlawfully obtained and fraudulently generated data to submit false claims to Medicare.”
So far, the government has recovered $44.7 million of the $418 million paid on these claims.
Other defendants allegedly submitted fraudulent claims for unnecessary amniotic wound grafts, targeting elderly patients and receiving “millions in illegal kickbacks from the fraudulent billing scheme.”
Agency and department heads affirmed their commitment to rooting out health care fraud schemes, emphasizing how they harm patients and Americans.
The schemes “often result in physical patient harm through medically unnecessary treatments or failure to provide the correct treatments,” said Matthew R. Galeotti, Head of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, adding that medical fraudsters steal “ money hardworking Americans contribute to pay for the care of their elders and other vulnerable citizens.”
“This record-setting Health Care Fraud Takedown delivers justice to criminal actors who prey upon our most vulnerable citizens and steal from hardworking American taxpayers,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
“Make no mistake — this administration will not tolerate criminals who line their pockets with taxpayer dollars while endangering the health and safety of our communities.”

The Trump administration sued the city of Los Angeles on Monday, accusing the city of violating the Constitution with “sanctuary city” policies that impede federal immigration enforcement.
The Justice Department said in a <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1406366/dl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a> that the city’s policy prohibiting any city resources from being used for federal immigration actions violates the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution. The DOJ argued that the city’s policies contributed to the anti-ICE riots that rocked Los Angeles County earlier this month as law enforcement officers were attacked and vehicles were burned.
“Sanctuary policies were the driving cause of the violence, chaos, and attacks on law enforcement that Americans recently witnessed in Los Angeles,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said. “Jurisdictions like Los Angeles that flout federal law by prioritizing illegal aliens over American citizens are undermining law enforcement at every level – it ends under President Trump.”
Shortly after Trump was elected in November, the Los Angeles City Council voted to officially designate itself as a sanctuary city. These policies prevent the city from working with or sharing information with federal immigration authorities.
“The Supremacy Clause prohibits the City of Los Angeles and its officials from singling out the Federal Government for adverse treatment — as the challenged law and policies do — thereby discriminating against the Federal Government,” the lawsuit says. “Accordingly, the law and policies challenged here are invalid and should be enjoined.”

“Today’s lawsuit holds the City of Los Angeles accountable for deliberately obstructing the enforcement of federal immigration law,” said U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli for the Central District of California. “The United States Constitution’s Supremacy Clause prohibits the City from picking and choosing which federal laws will be enforced and which will not. By assisting removable aliens in evading federal law enforcement, the City’s unlawful and discriminatory ordinance has contributed to a lawless and unsafe environment that this lawsuit will help end.”

The Religious Liberty Commission met Monday for the first time at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., to discuss faith policies. The Commission was presided over by Chairman and Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and Vice Chairman Dr. Ben Carson.
The commission was first established back in May by an <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/05/establishment-of-the-religious-liberty-commission/">executive order</a> from President Trump. The executive order commissioned a panel of professionals and public religious figures under the Department of Justice and Attorney General Pamela Bondi, who spoke at this first meeting.
Some notable <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/2025/05/president-trump-announces-religious-liberty-commission-members/">members of the commission</a> include Catholic Bishop Robert Barron, the founder of Word on Fire Ministry, and Pastor Paula White, the senior advisor to the White House Faith Office. Pastor Franklin Graham, a well-known Evangelical minister, Dr. Phil McGraw, host of the &#8220;Dr. Phil&#8221; talk show, and Rabbi Dr. Meir Soloveichik, a premier Orthodox rabbi based in Manhattan, also serve on the commission.
The commission will run until July 4th, 2026, unless extended by Trump. Over the next year, the commission will meet periodically to hear the testimonies of prominent legal scholars and religious leaders.
Patrick began the meeting by restating the commission&#8217;s purpose, as laid out in its charter. The purpose, he said, was &#8220;to advise and to report to the president&#8221; their findings on the treatment of religion in America.
Carson, who has previously served as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development during the first Trump administration, stated that the commission&#8217;s goal is to promote spirituality among Americans.
&#8220;This commission promotes freedom of beliefs and that spiritual aspect of our existence that advances civilization,&#8221; Carson said. &#8220;We will strive to facilitate the maintenance of one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.&#8221;
Kelly Shackelford, a constitutional scholar and member of the commission, remarked that, as the Founders of America believed, the first battle against dictatorial power would be fought on the grounds of religious freedom. Religious freedom, he said, is the &#8220;precipice of all of our freedoms.&#8221;
Paula White, a member of the commission, leads the first White House Faith Office for the president. White commented, &#8220;The Commission will focus on long-term strategies to secure religious freedom for future generations. We will gather data, conduct legal analysis, hold public hearings to capture the stories of everyday Americans related to religious liberty.&#8221;
Later in the meeting, Attorney General Pam Bondi commented on the Trump administration’s stance toward religious liberty.
&#8220;From the start, the United States of America was envisioned as a place where religious liberty meant the freedom to discern good from evil without the heavy hand of the government weighing in,&#8221; she said.
Bondi condemned the arrests of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-life-activist-sentenced-to-over-four-years-in-prison-over-protest-at-d-c-abortion-facility">pro-life Christians</a>, those who <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYK1XPKdV7M">blocked access to synagogues</a> in antisemitic protests, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bill-de-blasio-threatens-to-permanently-close-nyc-churches-if-they-dont-comply-with-social-distancing">prosecution</a> of church gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Biden administration’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-declares-easter-sunday-transgender-day-of-visibility">declaration</a> of a transgender day of visibility on Easter in 2024, as well as other anti-religious acts.
Bondi added, &#8220;This president and this administration are fully committed to restoring and defending religious liberty for all Americans. The Religious Liberty Commission will be the tip of the spear. Together we will return America to the vision of our Founders – a nation where faith merely isn’t tolerated but it&#8217;s embraced and celebrated.&#8221;

The Justice Department confirmed Monday that the United States Naval Academy would no longer consider race in admissions, according to a court document. 
In a joint <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1403766/dl?inline=&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filing</a> with Students for Fair Admission, the Trump administration asked a federal appeals court to dismiss a lawsuit against the academy over a policy that allowed it to consider race during the admissions process. Students for Fair Admission, which sued the academy in October 2023, agreed that the suit was no longer needed due to policy changes implemented by the Trump administration. 
“This Department is committed to ending illegal discrimination and restoring merit-based opportunity throughout the federal government,” <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-addresses-racial-discrimination-lawsuit-challenging-race-based-admissions">said</a> Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “We are proud to partner with the Department of Defense to permanently end race-based admissions at the United States Naval Academy and ensure that admission to this prestigious institution is based exclusively on merit.”
The filing states that the lawsuit is now moot due to the policy change and asks that the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit dismiss a lower court&#8217;s ruling that kept race-based admissions in place. The policy allowed the academy to “consider race or ethnicity as one of many nondeterminative factors” for admission. 
This policy ended after President Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 27 that said that no one within the military should be given any advantage based on gender or race. 
In compliance with that order, Naval Academy Superintendent Vice Admiral Yvette Davids issued a memo in February saying that “at no point during the admissions process (including qualification and acceptance) should race, ethnicity, or sex be a factor for admission.”
The joint filing said that considering race and ethnicity for admissions does not contribute to military cohesiveness, lethality, recruitment, or national security. 
“It is the military judgment of the Department of Defense that recruiting and promoting individuals based on merit alone, and not based on their immutable characteristics, improves unit cohesion and performance,” the joint filing said. “The Department of Defense has now determined that neither the recruitment and retention of talented officers nor the legitimacy of the U.S. military are positively affected by the service academies’ consideration of race in admissions.”
Students for Fair Admission was the organization behind the landmark case where the Supreme Court ruled that affirmative action in higher education was unconstitutional and racially discriminatory.
