“Looksmaxxing” influencer Braden Peters, best known by online followers as Clavicular, appears to have overdosed during a livestream on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old internet personality appeared on the Kick livestream alongside two other influencers while walking around a mall and sitting at a restaurant. Peters speaks to two women during that time and appears to be under the influence of some substance.

He keeps repeating, &#8220;Holy sh*t dude, I&#8217;m trying my best, but I&#8217;m f*cking destroyed right now.”
Right before the stream cuts, an Australian influencer named Androgenic can be heard asking him, &#8220;When did you last take blue?&#8221; as Peters&#8217; head lolls forward. He also offers Peters an &#8220;addy&#8221; multiple times, which is slang commonly used to refer to the ADHD medication Adderall. 
After that, the livestream stops abruptly. 
Androgenic <a href="https://x.com/androgenic_/status/2044238951913767186?s=20">posted</a> about the incident on X late Tuesday night.
&#8220;I hadn’t seen him in this state before, and he went from speaking to being fairly unresponsive in mere seconds,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;Within a minute, we all realised the situation, turned the stream off, picked him up and rushed him to the hospital.”
Peters shared an <a href="https://x.com/clavicular0/status/2044362432823411176?s=46&amp;t=o-U3qwC25WnWaylJ0oeG7Q">update</a> on his status Wednesday morning, noting that the worst part of the experience is what happened to his face.
“Just got home, that was brutal,” he posted on X. “All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution. The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.”
In response to a comment asking why he doesn&#8217;t just embrace his neurodivergence, the live streamer replied, “If i wasnt a livestreamer id agree with you,” seemingly implying that he was going to continue abusing drugs despite the overdose.
The incident comes just days after Peters walked out of an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXKCoFz3WRs">interview</a> with “60 Minutes Australia” after being asked if he identified with the “incel” (involuntary celibate) community. 
“Do I identify as an incel?” Peters replied. “I mean, how could you ask me that question as a follow-up after you asked me about my relationships to women. I mean, that’s quite literally the worst sequence of questions I think I’ve ever heard.”
The interview said, “Let me rephrase then. Looksmaxxing was obviously a term created by the incel community. How do you feel about being linked to that group?”
“I’m not linked to that group in any way,” Peters replied. “Looksmaxxing is self-improvement, right? So it’s about potentially even ascending out of that category. So that would be kind of one of the goals is to disassociate from being an incel and overcome that. So that doesn’t make sense.”
The focus then shifted to Peters’ association with Andrew Tate in a line of questioning he called “political.” After some back and forth, the influencer walked off.
Peters has attracted a large following of his “Clavicular” persona. The 20-year-old makes content that revolves around his physical appearance, sometimes showcasing the extreme methods he uses to appear more attractive, which he began employing at 14 years old. 
In an interview with Michael Knowles in late 2025, Peters claimed that he used to “smash his face with a hammer” to help improve his bone structure. Since sharing his “looksmaxxing” lifestyle, he has built a following of hundreds of thousands on social media.

A woman known as the &#8220;Ketamine Queen&#8221; was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges connected to the death of “Friends” actor Matthew Perry. 
Jasveen Sangha, 42, pleaded guilty last September to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury. 
Perry’s family had pushed for a harsh sentence ahead of the hearing. 
&#8220;The pain you&#8217;ve caused to hundreds, maybe thousands, is irreversible,&#8221; the actor’s stepmother, Debbie Perry, <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/matthew-perrys-stepmother-says-ketamine-094451974.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a victim impact statement. &#8220;There is no joy&#8230; No light in the window. They won&#8217;t be back.&#8221; 
&#8220;You caused this&#8230; You who has talent for business enough to make money chose the one way that hurts people,&#8221; the actor’s stepmother continued. &#8220;Please give this heartless woman the maximum prison sentence so she won&#8217;t be able to hurt other families like ours.&#8221;
Prosecutors said Sangha sold 51 vials of ketamine to Perry through his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/pr/north-hollywood-drug-dealer-who-sold-ketamine-killed-actor-matthew-perry-sentenced-15">according</a> to the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s Office for the Central District of California.
They also accused Sangha of continuing to sell drugs even after learning that the ketamine she sold had contributed to Perry’s death.
&#8220;She didn&#8217;t care and kept selling,&#8221; the attorneys wrote in a memorandum. &#8220;[The] Defendant&#8217;s actions show a cold callousness and disregard for life. She chose profits over people, and her actions have caused immense pain to the victims&#8217; families and loved ones.&#8221;
Prosecutors further said Sangha had opportunities to stop but &#8220;simply chose not to,&#8221; and alleged that she later exchanged texts with her associates to try to distance herself from Perry’s death.
Perry was found unresponsive, face down in a hot tub at his Pacific Palisades home on October 28, 2023. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office determined he had drowned, with ketamine listed as a contributing factor. The level of ketamine found in his system was close to a range used for general anesthesia, The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doctor-to-plead-guilty-in-connection-with-friends-actor-matthew-perrys-ketamine-overdose-death">reported</a>.
Four other defendants pleaded guilty in connection with the case, <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/pr/north-hollywood-drug-dealer-who-sold-ketamine-killed-actor-matthew-perry-sentenced-15">including</a> Dr. Mark Chavez and Dr. Salvador Plasencia. Plasencia, 44, is serving a 30-month prison sentence, while Chavez, 55, was sentenced to three years of probation, eight months of home detention, and ordered to perform 300 hours of community service.

Mark Chavez pleaded guilty in 2024 to one count of conspiring to distribute ketamine to the “Friends” star. Chavez was sentenced to 8 months of home detention and 3 years of supervised release on Tuesday. He will also be required to complete 300 hours of community service, per <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/2nd-doctor-sentenced-connection-matthew-perrys-ketamine-death/story?id=128425192">ABC News</a>. The sentence could have been up to 10 years in prison.
Chavez’s attorney Zach Brooks described his client’s actions as “a lapse in judgment during a narrow and isolated time.”
“[W]hat occurred in this case was a profound departure from the life he had lived up to that point. The consequences have been severe and permanent. Mr. Chavez has lost his career, his livelihood, and professional identity that he has worked for decades to develop.”
“Looking forward, Mr. Chavez understands that accountability does not end with this sentence. He’s committed to using the rest of his life to contribute positively, to support others and to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again,” Brooks added. “While he cannot undo what occurred, he can choose how he lives his life from this moment.”

Rapper Lil Nas X has been hospitalized after he was spotted wandering the streets of Los Angeles in his underwear just before 6 a.m. on Thursday.
The “Old Town Road” singer was arrested by responding officers on the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley after witnesses called in reports of a naked man in the area. Jasveen Sangha, better known in pop culture as the Ketamine Queen, agreed to plead guilty Monday to selling drugs to actor Matthew Perry, who overdosed in October 2023.
The 42-year-old, who has joint citizenship in the United States and the U.K., was charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute ketamine, and five counts of distribution of ketamine, per <a href="https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/crime/matthew-perry-drug-dealer-trial-plea-b2809860.html">The Independent</a>.
She faces up to 45 years in prison across all charges.
Sangha was one of five people charged over the actor’s death. The other primary person being investigated was Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who was charged with distributing the drug to Perry. He signed a plea deal in June.
Three other people pleaded guilty last year in exchange for their cooperation with the investigation, including making statements implicating Sangha and Plasencia, the outlet noted.
In the weeks after the “Friends” star died, it was revealed that Plasencia allegedly texted another doctor, Mark Chavez, saying, “I wonder how much this moron will pay.” Plasencia supplied Perry with 20 vials of ketamine, equal to 2,000 mg of the drug, along with ketamine lozenges and syringes in the month before his death, as The Daily Wire previously reported.
According to prosecutors, Perry paid Sangha $6,000 cash for 25 vials of ketamine four days prior to his death.
Ketamine is a medication primarily used as an anesthetic in both humans and animals. It is classified as a Schedule III controlled substance and is often used for the treatment of depression, which was Perry’s reason for using it. The 54-year-old actor had a long history of drug and alcohol abuse, which he detailed in his 2022 memoir titled “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.”

It’s been six months since “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/friends">Friends</a>” actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/matthew-perry">Matthew Perry</a> was discovered dead from a ketamine <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/overdose">overdose</a>. Now, the Los Angeles Police Department is launching a joint criminal investigation with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) to determine how the actor had so much of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/drugs">drug</a> in his system.
Perry was discovered dead at his home, in a hot tub, at the age of 54 on October 28, 2023. The sitcom star was determined to have died from an overdose. “At the high levels of ketamine found in his postmortem blood specimens, the main lethal effects would be from both cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression,” the report said, per <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/matthew-perry-death-dea-lapd-criminal-investigation-ketamine-1235905358/">The Hollywood Reporter</a>.
Contributing factors to the cause of death included drowning and buprenorphine, a drug used to treat opioid addiction. 
Perry had been vocal about his struggle for sobriety. He published a tell-all memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” one year prior to his death. The book went into detail about Perry’s excessive drug use over the years.
He also discussed using ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic with hallucinogenic properties, in the book. These experimental treatments are often used to assist with depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, chronic pain, and other mental health struggles. “I often thought that I was dying during that hour. Oh, I thought, this is what happens when you die. Yet I would continually sign up for this sh** because it was something different, and anything different is good,” Perry wrote. 
The “Friends” star said the treatments made him feel like he was “hit in the head with a giant happy shovel.” He also claimed to get a hangover from the ketamine infusions, saying the aftermath of treatment often “outweighed the shovel.”

The “Friends” star had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy before he died, the outlet noted. Despite Perry having a ketamine session just over a week before his death, the autopsy said this particular visit was not responsible for the overdose because “the ketamine in his system at death could not be from that infusion therapy since ketamine’s half-life is three to four hours or less.”

Nearly 108,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2022, according to <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/databriefs/db491.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">data</a> released Thursday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
A total of 107,941 people died from drug overdoses that year, about 1,200 more or 1% higher than those who died in 2021.
The number of overdose deaths has been rising for two decades, hitting new records nearly every year.
The overdose death rate for teens and adults younger than 35 decreased slightly, while rates increased for adults age 35 and older.
Men consistently make up the vast majority of overdose deaths by far, about 70% of all deaths. In 2022, the female overdose death rate declined for the first time in five years, but the male rate continued to climb.
American Indian and Alaska Native people continued to have the highest overdose death rate, which spiked 15% in 2022. Black, Hispanic, and Asian people also saw their overdose death rates rise, while rates decreased among white Americans.
Powerful synthetic opioids such as fentanyl continue to drive the death rate up precipitously.

Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/portland-sees-biggest-fentanyl-bust-in-sheriffs-office-history">about</a> 50 times more potent than heroin, has been on the rise in the U.S. for years. The deadly synthetic opioid is inexpensive to make, easily transported, and has been increasingly smuggled over the southern border by Mexican cartels.
As little as two milligrams of fentanyl weighing the same as a few grains of salt can cause a fatal overdose, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/portland-sees-biggest-fentanyl-bust-in-sheriffs-office-history">according</a> to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Because it is frequently cut with other drugs, users may often be unaware that they are consuming the powerful substance, which can be deadly even in small doses.
Synthetic opioids caused about 23 deaths for every 100,000 people in 2022, 4% higher than in 2021. Meanwhile, deaths due to natural opioids such as heroin decreased.
Deaths involving cocaine also spiked 12% in 2022. Deaths involving psychostimulants such as methamphetamine also increased 4%.
Overdose death numbers for 2023 have not yet been reported.
The new data also showed that overall life expectancy increased for Americans by more than a year up to 77.5 years.
This is partially due to the COVID death rate declining, but it does not quite make up for the 2.4 years of life expectancy lost since the pandemic. Life expectancy remains lower than it has been in about two decades.
The death rates for infants and children up to 14 jumped between 2021 and 2022 while the death rate for age groups above 14 decreased.
Heart disease remained the leading cause of death, with cancer in second place.
Those conditions cause about two out of very five deaths in the country, although the death rates for both decreased 4% and 3%, respectively, in 2022.

New details have emerged about the 2008 <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/death">death</a> of actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Heath Ledger</a> at the age of 28.
The “10 Things I Hate About You” star died from an accidental drug <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/overdose">overdose</a> in January 2008, but now film director Stephen Gaghan is sharing some details about finding out Ledger had died, including his connection to the tragedy.
Gaghan was working with the Australian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">star</a> on the film &#8220;Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking,&#8221; which was based on a book written by Malcolm Gladwell. He recently recalled getting a call from Ledger’s father just after the actor was found dead in his home by his housekeeper.
“I got a phone call, they were on speakerphone and it was Heath Ledger’s father, who I’d never met &#8230; and a guy who was really close to him. The official cause of death for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Rick Harrison</a>’s son Adam has been revealed by the coroner’s office.
Harrison is best known for starring on the hit History Channel series “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/reality-tv">Pawn Stars</a>,” which is set in his pawn shop in Las Vegas. Adam&#8217;s cause of death was ruled an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/overdose">accident</a> and was caused by &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/fentanyl">fentanyl</a> and methamphetamine toxicity,&#8221; the Clark County Nevada coroners confirmed, per <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/pawn-stars-rick-harrisons-son-official-cause-of-death-determined-coroner">Fox News Digital</a>.
Adam died on January 19 at the age of 39. Per <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/01/26/entertainment/pawn-stars-rick-harrisons-son-adam-lacked-sound-reasoning-and-mental-clarity-before-fatal-overdose/">The New York Post</a>, he had been in jail previously and was living in a guesthouse for several weeks and exhibiting “alarming behavior, including barricading himself in the house by pushing furniture against the house,&#8221; per one of his neighbors. 
Another neighbor contacted the landlord when she was unable to contact Adam. The landlord discovered him unresponsive in his bed.
Harrison already suspected that fentanyl was to blame for his son&#8217;s death and made his thoughts on the drug crisis known. 
“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” the 58-year-old reality star said shortly after Adam died, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pawn-stars-rick-harrison-blames-border-crisis-for-sons-overdose-death-we-need-to-do-better">reported</a>. 
“The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” he said. “It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
The “Pawn Stars” celeb originally posted a tribute to his son on social media.

Harrison had Adam and Corey with his ex-wife, Kim. He is currently married to his fourth wife, Amanda Palmer.
“Pawn Stars” is a well-known and popular reality series that boasts 21 seasons on the air. It’s based on the staff of the World Famous Gold &amp; Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas as they buy, sell, and pawn items in the store. 
Adam was not part of the show but he may have worked at the family store, which has been in operation since 1989.

A cause of death for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/comedian">comedian</a> Dana Carvey’s 32-year-old son, Dex, has been revealed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Dex’s death was confirmed to be a result of an accidental drug <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/overdose">overdose</a>. The medical examiner found that he had a combination of fentanyl, ketamine, and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/drugs">cocaine</a> in his system at the time of his death, per <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/01/24/entertainment/dana-carveys-son-dexs-official-cause-of-death-revealed/">The New York Post</a>.
The “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/saturday-night-live">Saturday Night Live</a>” star and his wife made the announcement on November 16, 2023, via <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CzuXVNoPvlj/">Instagram</a> that their son had tragically died. “Last night we suffered a terrible tragedy,” Carvey shared in the social media post, noting that Dex had overdosed at the age of 32.
“Dex packed a lot into those 32 years. He was extremely talented at so many things&#8211;music, art, film making, comedy&#8211;and pursued all of them passionately,” the post continued. “It&#8217;s not an exaggeration to say that Dex loved life.”
“And when you were with him, you loved life too,&#8221; the statement said. &#8220;He made everything fun. But most of all, he loved his family, his friends and his girlfriend, Kaylee. Dex was a beautiful person. His handmade birthday cards are a treasure. We will miss him forever.”
Carvey and his wife concluded with a message of solidarity for “anyone struggling with addiction or who loves someone struggling with addiction.”
“You are in our hearts and prayers,” the couple concluded.
Carvey and his wife, Paula Zwagerman, have been married since 1983. They also have another son, Thomas.

Harrison <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/01/22/entertainment/pawn-stars-lead-rick-harrisons-sons-cause-of-death-revealed/">told</a> The New York Post that Adam, who was 39, died from a fentanyl <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/overdose">overdose</a>. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/fentanyl">Fentanyl</a> deaths are reportedly on the rise nationwide, and the influx of the drug can be traced back to illegal drug trafficking from other countries. 
“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” the 58-year-old reality star told The Post in a statement on Monday.
“The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” he said. “It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
Harrison’s rep confirmed that Adam died in Las Vegas last week.
“You will always be in my heart! I love you,” Harrison shared on Instagram alongside a photo of himself and his son together.

“<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/saturday-night-live">Saturday Night Live</a>” alum <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/comedian">Dana Carvey</a> has returned to his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/podcast">podcast</a> for the first time since his son Dex’s death from an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/drugs">overdose</a> last year. 
The 68-year-old comedic actor gave an update on the latest episode of the “Fly on the Wall” podcast he hosts with fellow “SNL” actor David Spade, per <a href="https://variety.com/2024/film/news/dana-carvey-returns-podcast-son-death-dex-saturday-night-live-1235876348/">Variety</a>.
“If you’re listening to our podcast, you probably know about my family’s loss,” Carvey said during the episode. “I just wanted to say that the amount of outpouring online and emailing and people I still haven’t been able to call back is incredible.”
“I thought about this over the holidays and decided to come back to the podcast because I think, you know, it’s a long day when you’re not working and you get in your head,” he added. “And I think it’s going to be a great break, and I think it’s really cool to laugh.”
Spade agreed that it was “nice to do the show again” after Carvey took time off to mourn.
Carvey explained how he and his family have been grieving since Dex’s death last fall. &#8220;It’s me and my wife and our son’s private journey,&#8221; he said, referring to his younger son, Thomas.

Carvey said one reason he wanted to return to the podcast is because “riffing” with Spade is “healthy” for him as he processes the loss of his son.
“I’m kind of on the pain train,” he said. “You don’t know how long you’re going to be on it or when it will stop or when it will get better. In the meantime, all this kind of stuff is very healthy.”
Carvey’s oldest son overdosed and died at the age of 32 in November. He told fans about his son’s death on social media, calling it a “terrible tragedy.”
