A three-star general who has served as the United States Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence stated that Israel should have sovereignty over the biblical areas of Judea and Samaria.
Retired general William Boykin, who spent 36 years in the U.S. military, including 13 years in Delta Force, the Army’s elite special operations, counter-terrorism unit, is a staunch Christian who <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/college-boots-ex-delta-force-hero-after-complaint-from-lgbt-activists">said</a> as far back as 2016, “I’m going to do everything I can to stop men from going into bathrooms with my daughters, my wife and my granddaughters. I am going to be a very outspoken antagonist on this issue.” President George W. Bush tasked him with hunting down Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. Retired Army Major General Robert Scales said of him, &#8220;He commanded Delta and is one of the toughest guys around—but he&#8217;s also one of the nicest, gentlest people I know.&#8221;
Boykin spoke of the necessity of Israel’s sovereignty over Judea and Samaria on Sunday in Samaria, saying, “What we’re doing here is standing on a time bomb that’s going to go off at some point. It already did on the 7th of October,” JNS <a href="https://www.jns.org/former-us-delta-force-commander-backs-judea-samaria-sovereignty/">reported</a>.
“It’s gonna happen again, and that’s why … we need to recognize that if we don’t create a situation where we have sovereignty here, we’re going to see another Oct. 7,” Boykin continued. “There are people who have no knowledge or understanding, and they believe that a 15-mile stretch can be part of your defense—and that is not the case. You and we must stand together and say: We will not accept a two-state solution!”
“After October 7, we must understand—and you of course understand—that Jewish towns and cities here in Judea and Samaria are not just a matter of historical justice. The Jewish communities are Israel’s security belt,” Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan explained.
The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), a research institute focusing on national security and foreign policy, identified 28 Iran-backed terrorist groups and branches in the Biblical areas of Judea and Samaria in Israel, sometimes referred to as the West Bank, where Palestinians have consistently murdered Jews for decades.
“Iran-backed terrorist groups, including, al-Aqsa Martyrs&#8217; Brigades, and Hamas, have proliferated in number and strengthened their presence in the West Bank in recent years,” FDD’s Long War Journal <a href="https://www.longwarjournal.org/westbankterrorgroups" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. “The groups have established battalions (Katibat) in Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm and beyond. Iranian arms and funding have primarily fueled this violent escalation. FDD&#8217;s Long War Journal has identified 26 West Bank branches belonging to established terrorist organizations, and two independent armed groups.”
Last December, Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) introduced a bill in the Senate to require all official U.S. documents and materials to use the historically accurate term “Judea and Samaria” instead of the “West Bank.”

The bill, titled the &#8220;Retiring the Egregious Confusion Over the Genuine Name of Israel’s Zone of Influence by Necessitating Government-use of Judea and Samaria (RECOGNIZING Judea and Samaria) Act,&#8221; matched legislation in the House<a href="https://tenney.house.gov/media/press-releases/congresswoman-tenney-introduces-legislation-recognize-rightful-name-judea-and" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> sponsored</a> by Reps. Claudia Tenney (R-NY), Randy Weber (R-TX), and Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY).
“The Jewish people’s legal and historic rights to Judea and Samaria goes back thousands of years. The U.S. should stop using the politically charged term West Bank to refer to the biblical heartland of Israel,” Cotton stated.
“The Israeli people have an undeniable and indisputable historical and legal claim over Judea and Samaria, and at this critical moment in history, the United States must reaffirm this,”  Tenney echoed. “This bill reaffirms Israel&#8217;s rightful claim to its territory. I remain committed to defending the integrity of the Jewish state and fully supporting Israel&#8217;s sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.”
The term “West Bank” only came into common usage after the 1948 Israeli War of Independence, while &#8220;Samaria&#8221; dates back at least 2,000 years. The great historian Flavius Josephus <a href="https://sourcebooks.fordham.edu/ancient/josephus-wara.asp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>, “Now as to the country of Samaria, it lies between Judea and Galilee.”
Virtually all of the events in the Old Testament occurred in Judea and Samaria; Hebron is considered the burial place of the Biblical patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and where King David was crowned; Shiloh was where the Tabernacle rested for roughly 370 years; Joseph, who became the Egyptian pharaoh’s right-hand man, is buried in Shechem; Elon Moreh is where the Bible says God promised the Land of Israel to Abraham; and David fought Goliath in the Valley of Elah. These are just some of the Jewish biblical connections to Judea and Samaria.

London&#8217;s Victoria &amp; Albert Museum took some serious backlash over the weekend after it was reported that an exhibit on British humor had included the late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher alongside Osama bin Laden and Adolf Hitler in a short list of &#8220;contemporary villains.&#8221;
The exhibit, which was meant to show how British humor had evolved over time, showcased Victorian &#8220;Punch &amp; Judy&#8221; puppets along with a caption that included the following:
<blockquote>Over the years, the evil character in this seaside puppet show has shifted from the Devil to unpopular public figures including Adolf Hitler, Margaret Thatcher and Osama bin Laden, to offer contemporary villains.</blockquote>
Critics were quick to address the issue, with many noting that whatever people thought of Thatcher — Britain&#8217;s first female prime minister — she hardly belonged on a short list of &#8220;villains&#8221; that only included 9/11 architect and al Qaeda terrorist bin Laden and Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
Nile Gardiner, former aide to Thatcher, argued that the museum should lose access to any government funding over the display. &#8220;The V&amp; A should have its public funding taken away because it&#8217;s engaging here in political activity,&#8221; he said.

Around 20% of young Americans view Osama Bin Laden — the mastermind behind the deadliest terrorist attack in U.S. history — in a positive light, according to a new <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12890583/americans-osama-bin-laden-poll-gen-zers.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Mail</a> poll. 
The <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12890583/americans-osama-bin-laden-poll-gen-zers.html">poll</a>, which surveyed voters between 18 and 29 years old, also found that around 30% of the young Americans believe the views that guided Bin Laden were a “force for good,” The Daily Mail reported. Bin Laden was killed by U.S. Navy Seals in May of 2011 after a decade-long manhunt for the radical Islamic terrorist. The al-Qaeda leader orchestrated the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., which killed nearly 3,000 Americans. 
Of the 18-29-year-olds surveyed in the poll, 8% said they had a “completely positive” view of Bin Laden while another 12% said they had a “somewhat positive” view of the infamous terrorist. Among those who viewed Bin Laden positively, 8% said both his “views and actions” were good, and 23% said his views were good but his actions were bad, according to the Mail. Eighty-one percent of those polled overall held a negative view of Bin Laden.
The Daily Mail poll results come a month after viral TikTok videos showed young Americans discussing Bin Laden’s “Letter to America” and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/man-who-killed-bin-laden-responds-to-viral-tiktok-trend-praising-the-terrorists-letter-to-america" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sympathizing</a> with the al-Qaeda leader after reading it. The letter outlines Bin Laden’s justification for the 9/11 terrorist attack on U.S. soil. 
Terry Strada, whose husband died in the North Tower on 9/11, told the Mail that the poll results are a “horrifying” and “disturbing” sign that terrorism is being “normalized” in the U.S. 
“What is wrong with our youth? How do they not realize the horrors of terrorism?” Strada asked. “This is a dangerous and slippery slope to go down.” 
Another American who lost a loved one on 9/11 blamed the U.S. government’s lack of transparency about Saudi involvement in the terror attack for the rise in young Americans’ sympathies for Bin Laden. 
“We have never been told the full story or truth about what happened to us on 9/11,” said Brett Eagleson, whose father perished in the South Tower. “So it’s no wonder why today’s youth and adolescents have taken such extremist views supporting the evil that visited us that day. We have a two-decades-long government cover up to blame for this.”

“The time is past for a full accounting of the Saudi Government[‘s] role in 9/11 as well the intelligence failures of the US government,” Eagleson added. 
In October, a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/majority-of-muslim-americans-believe-hamas-was-justified-in-its-terror-attacks-against-israel">survey</a> conducted by Cygnal showed that a majority (57.5%) of Muslim Americans believed Hamas was “justified” in its terrorist attack against Israel. While most Muslim Americans defended Hamas’ actions on October 7, 75% of all Americans condemned Hamas for attacking Israel and murdering around 1,200 people.

Lynette Adkins isn&#8217;t exactly the person you&#8217;d expect to kickstart a social media conversation about international terrorism, and how Osama bin Laden might have done the right thing by ordering the 9/11 terrorist attacks. For one thing, Lynette Adkins is a recent college graduate whose latest <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qDEhVKb_gM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">video</a> on YouTube is entitled, &#8220;getting hotter &amp; making friends in LA.&#8221; And in 2021, Adkins was <a href="https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2021-09-23/content-creators-meet-lynette-adkins-youtube-influencer-marketing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">profiled</a> by The Los Angeles Times, not for her great insights on world affairs, but because of her videos on, &#8220;college life, skin and hair care,&#8221; including &#8220;a tutorial for Black women growing out their natural hair.&#8221; Adkins, the Times reported, was mainly successful because she often told her followers — which now number well over 200,000 on various social media platforms — how they could quit their white-collar jobs and become a vapid social media personality like herself.
But just a couple of days ago, Adkins offered an insight into a very different topic. Claiming she was in the midst of an existential crisis, Adkins posted this short video on TikTok:

She’s having an existential crisis, she says. We&#8217;re now a long way from telling black women how to grow out their natural hair. In that clip, Adkins conspicuously doesn&#8217;t mention what &#8220;A Letter to America” is, apparently because she worried people might not be interested in the document when they learned it was Osama bin Laden&#8217;s manifesto justifying the 9/11 attacks.
But in the end, Adkins&#8217; ploy apparently worked. As the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/11/16/business/tiktok-shredded-as-osama-bin-ladens-letter-to-america-gets-viral-praise-terrorist-propaganda/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported,</a> Adkins single-handedly &#8220;jumpstarted&#8221; a flood of activity on social media, and in particular on TikTok, about Osama bin Laden&#8217;s manifesto. Several <a href="https://www.thewrap.com/the-guardian-deletes-osama-bin-laden-letter-to-america-tiktok/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">other outlets</a> also credited Adkins for what happened next. The #lettertoamerica hashtag on TikTok racked up more than 14 million views and on X (Twitter), the same hashtag quickly accounted for nearly 100,000 posts.

The journalist Yashar Ali <a href="https://twitter.com/yashar/status/1724942399431217457" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that in thousands of TikToks, people of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds responded to bin Laden&#8217;s letter. And for the most part, these TikToks involved young people saying bin Laden&#8217;s letter has led them to reevaluate their perspective on terrorism, and how it can, in fact, be a legitimate form of protest to a hostile, colonizing power. He uploaded just a small handful of these TikToks. We’ll take a look at a small handful of that handful:

Osama bin Laden, the mass murderer of 3,000 people, has opened their eyes. He has enlightened them with his penetrating insights and deep wisdom.
Now for anyone who lived through 9/11 — which many of these TikTok personalities didn’t — it might be hard to make sense of this. Twenty years ago, even the most rabid leftists on college campuses didn&#8217;t go out in public and proudly suggest that bin Laden was justified. That would have been unthinkable. Instead, the Left generally agreed that acts of terrorism that kill thousands of U.S. citizens were a bad thing. The mass protests that we saw after 9/11, which began in earnest 2002, were almost entirely in response to the planned U.S. military intervention in Iraq — a country that, it turns out, didn&#8217;t have anything to do with 9/11. That was the concern.
Until that point, the country was mostly unified. There was no groundswell of support on the Left in defense of 9/11, on the internet or elsewhere.
So what changed? For one thing, academic theories of &#8220;decolonization,&#8221; as the reaction to the events in the Middle East has made very clear, aren&#8217;t academic anymore. They&#8217;ve filtered down from the university system into the mainstream. But as I&#8217;ve said repeatedly, &#8220;decolonization&#8221; is about much more than Israel. And this latest TikTok trend makes that very clear. The ultimate objective of &#8220;decolonizers&#8221; is the destruction of anything that these zealots perceive as too white. 
Decolonization is a genocidal ideology. It expressly justifies the mass slaughter of innocents — white innocents, specifically — on the grounds that no white person can actually be innocent. That of course includes the thousands of people who died on 9/11 — and most people living in the United States right now.
One of the many striking aspects of this ideology is how incoherent and self-defeating it is. If Libs of TikTok&#8217;s videos are any indication, people on TikTok would be among the very first to get stoned to death if bin Laden&#8217;s version of Sharia Law ever came to the United States. (Which, by the way, is another demand in bin Laden&#8217;s <a href="https://archive.is/rjKSc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> — the total subservience of the West to Sharia law). Only defeated and very confused people, with a constant connection to other very confused people on the internet, would ever support their own eradication like this. 
But none of these people uploading this nonsense to TikTok actually came up with this idea on their own. For a long time now, many commentators have lamented that &#8220;the schools are failing&#8221; and asked,&#8221;What are they teaching these kids?&#8221; and so on. But the answer has always been pretty clear. This is what they&#8217;re teaching. Schools have succeeded in creating exactly the sort of people they set out to create. They may not be explicitly defending bin Laden, but they are spreading a deep hatred of white Western civilization. They&#8217;ve taught that colonization is an abject and eternal evil, with no positive upshot whatsoever. They&#8217;ve told students that the very idea of policing is a white supremacist concept intended to victimize black people. They have taught that “whiteness” is a sickness, a cancer, that must be eradicated. This is the actual language used in schools. Of course they&#8217;ve said the same thing about fundamental concepts like biology, as well. Schools want students to grow into adults who hate this country and everything about it. And that&#8217;s exactly what we&#8217;re seeing right now.
At the same time, the blame doesn&#8217;t entirely fall on the university system. For one thing, it&#8217;s probably not a coincidence that this trend is taking off on a Chinese social media app. As hard as this may be to believe, there are consequences to allowing millions of kids to spend their entire day ingesting content from an algorithm controlled by a communist adversary. In a follow-up video, the woman who apparently started this whole trend on TikTok, Lynette Adkins, went on to acknowledge that TikTok has a role in reprogramming Americans.

Young people, Lynette Adkins says, &#8220;have been so programmed to think a certain way.&#8221; And now, she says, &#8220;TikTok is undoing all of that. It&#8217;s crazy to watch in real time.&#8221;
That&#8217;s an understatement. It may be the only true and useful thing that Lynette has ever said on her various social media channels. And apparently, it&#8217;s the last thing she&#8217;s going to say. As of this morning, Lynette&#8217;s videos on TikTok — including the one I just showed you — are all inaccessible. Her account apparently doesn&#8217;t exist anymore. It&#8217;s not clear whether TikTok took her account down, or if she deleted her account herself. We reached out to her for an explanation, and she didn&#8217;t respond.
For its part, TikTok is claiming to be outraged by all of this. They&#8217;ve suppressed any videos that use the term &#8220;Letter to America&#8221; or &#8220;Osama bin Laden.&#8221; If you try to search for it, you&#8217;ll get a warning about &#8220;community guidelines.&#8221; And the company has put out statements saying they&#8217;re horrified that this letter has resurfaced. And they&#8217;re not the only ones saying that. The Guardian, which hosted a <a href="https://archive.is/rjKSc">version of this letter</a> on their website for the past 20 years, deleted the letter from its website in response to all the traffic from TikTok. And of course, in response, interest in bin Laden&#8217;s letter only grew from there, because you can&#8217;t delete anything from the internet. If you try, you just encourage more people to seek it out. Which is why the Guardian’s decision to delete the letter was ridiculous, and did more harm than good.
You can interpret these reactions from TikTok and The Guardian however you want. You can choose to believe that a social media platform controlled by the Communist Party of China is deeply upset that American youth are talking about how bin Laden was justified in taking down the Twin Towers. You can choose to believe that social media mercenary Lynette Adkins, for some reason, decided out of the blue one day to promote this whole idea.
But no matter what — whether you think this is just the latest successful Chinese propaganda effort or not — one fact remains, which no amount of online censorship can change. The truth is that, after 9/11, there were scattered reports of celebrations that broke out in response to the violence. Most of those reports are unverified and disputed to this day. But if another 9/11 happened today, it wouldn&#8217;t be hard to find people celebrating. All you&#8217;d have to do is look at any college campus, or go on TikTok. That’s the harshest reality to contemplate. Everyone was basically on the same page after 9/11 — everyone was sad, everyone was angry. And that was the last time we would all be on the same page about anything. If a similar attack were launched today, we would not even be able to all agree that it’s a sad thing.
That fact is now unavoidable. It&#8217;s unavoidable because of an ideology that both parties have been subsidizing in the university and public school systems for decades. So now, instead of our young people looking up to great authors or public servants — people with good moral character — they look up to tedious social media &#8220;influencers&#8221; like Lynette Adkins. But for China, which controls TikTok, it&#8217;s fantastic news. Xi Jinping just <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-11-16/xi-says-china-seeks-to-be-friends-with-us-wants-peaceful-ties?embedded-checkout=true" target="_blank" rel="noopener">promised</a> at the APEC Summit that there will be no &#8220;hot war&#8221; with the United States. What he didn&#8217;t say is that he won&#8217;t need to launch a hot war in order to weaken, delegitimize, and ultimately destroy this country. All he needs is an army of useful idiots who want to destroy Western civilization from within.
And if there&#8217;s anything we can learn from what happened on TikTok this week, it&#8217;s that Xi Jinping now has that army. And it&#8217;s bigger and dumber than he could have possibly hoped for.

A new viral trend on China-owned social media platform <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tiktok" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TikTok</a> includes largely younger people praising and agreeing with notorious terrorist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/osama-bin-laden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Osama bin Laden</a>&#8216;s &#8220;Letter to America.&#8221;
The letter, which is filled with anti-Western and anti-Semitic language, is a justification from bin Laden for the 9/11 attacks, which killed roughly 3,000 Americans in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
&#8220;Over the past 24 hours, thousands of TikToks (at least) have been posted where people share how they just read Bin Laden’s infamous &#8216;Letter to America,&#8217; in which he explained why he attacked the United States,&#8221; journalist Yashar Ali posted to X. &#8220;Many of them say that reading the letter has opened their eyes, and they’ll never see geopolitical matters the same way again. &#8230; [and many] say it has made them reevaluate their perspective on how what is often labeled as terrorism can be a legitimate form of resistance to a hostile power.&#8221;
In one viral video, a woman said the letter is &#8220;wild&#8221; and &#8220;everyone should read it,&#8221; adding that reading it has &#8220;left her disillusioned.&#8221;
Another woman said reading the letter left her reeling in an &#8220;existential crisis,&#8221; and encouraged viewers to also read it. &#8220;In the last 20 minutes, my entire viewpoint on the entire life I have believed and I have lived has changed. Please read that entire letter.&#8221;
&#8220;I need you to stop what you&#8217;re doing and go read a &#8216;Letter to America,'&#8221; a male said on video. &#8220;It is literally the craziest thing I have read in a while and while I can&#8217;t say that I&#8217;m not surprised, I&#8217;m pretty shocked.&#8221; He then proceeded to read the following X post, which he said was reminiscent of the letter: &#8220;Under settler colonialism, any kind of resistance is branded as [terrorism] because the only acceptable violence is violence by the occupier.&#8221;

Journalist Megyn Kelly zoned in on the parents of some of the younger people participating in the trend. &#8220;To the parents of all of these losers suddenly persuaded by the deranged musings of the man who murdered 3k American innocents: you failed,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;You were likely boozing, marching for some L-wing cause and/or simply ignoring your kids. You failed to teach wrong from right, a proper moral code, a love of country and perspective on America’s role in the world. Man Who Killed Bin Laden Responds To Viral TikTok Trend Praising The Terrorist’s ‘Letter To America’

Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. So much has been written about this horrific day it is difficult to reflect upon it without merely repeating what others have already said. But sometimes repetition is necessary. 
As the chasm of time between that morning and today grows inexorably wider, we run a very real risk of falling into a somnambulant sense of security. But if 9/11 taught us one thing, it is that events so significant as to send a hyper-power spinning off its axis tend to occur on the most ordinary of days. 
I used to work on the 55th floor of Two World Trade Center. I can still recall the magnificent views of all Manhattan below us, while Tower One, like a twin sentinel, seemed so close you could reach out and touch it. You really felt like you were working in the epicenter of the world’s economic engine up there. And, in a way, you were. I was fortunate, as it turned out, to accept a job across the Hudson in Jersey City before the attacks. And so, my colleagues and I watched from the high floor of a skyscraper on the west bank of the Hudson as the second aircraft, a UAL 767, hurling at eye-level with the throttle wide open, slammed into the second tower. 
We soon evacuated our own building and made our way outside to the pier along the river and watched as the hell unfolded. The surreal moment was made all the more so by the clear azure sky that belied the sinister events unfolding beneath it. When the buildings came down, and those on the dock shrieked, cried, and gasped a collective “No!”, a co-worker said quietly, “My brothers are up there.” They both died. Our former house attorney who’d just a few months before excitedly accepted a job at Cantor-Fitzgerald, and had been trapped at the top of Tower One, was also dead. As were eight people from my small commuter town. 
We feared for the life of my brother-in-law, a New York firefighter, but fortunately he was spared — 348 of his fellow FDNY brothers were not. One can only imagine the PTSD he endured as he donned his dress blues to attend funeral after funeral. These surviving firefighters should be considered war veterans.
My memories are fading now, and that is a healthy thing. One cannot dwell on terrible events. But at the same time, a nation can, and should, learn from them. And I think 9/11 should prompt us to reflect on some things about our country. Some are sublime, others not so much.
The first is to never underestimate the capacity of the American spirit to overcome daunting situations and engage in acts of self-sacrifice for the greater good. The passengers aboard flight 93 knew quite well they were going to their collective doom when they stormed the cockpit and sent the jetliner nose-down into a Pennsylvania field, far from its intended target. “Let’s roll!” are two words more powerful than any rambling manifesto Osama Bin Laden might have read while he, by revealing contrast, cowered in an Afghani cave. 
As Scripture tells us, self-sacrifice is the greatest act of love. So long as the nation produces such ordinary citizens who, when needed, act with extraordinary courage and concern for others, the nation will endure. So in this sense 9/11 reaffirmed our belief in Americans, even as we sometimes doubt America itself.
But 9/11 also imparted more disquieting lessons and that is our national leaders’ capacity for self-delusion. During his State of the Union address in 2002, George W. Bush famously asked, “Why do they hate us? … They hate a democratically elected government … they hate our freedoms … our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech.”
That was partly true. But this hatred of the generic infidel on the other side of the world was not enough to prompt Bin Laden and his suicidal minions to plan and carry out so intricate an operation. Sometimes it is best to learn from the source what their issues are. In Bin Laden’s case, he was very clear: He resented the presence of the U.S. military on what he considered sacred Saudi and Somali soil. Right or wrong, he saw it as a foreign occupation by non-believers. 
America’s continued military presence in the region came courtesy of an earlier struggle against Saddam Hussein, one that was, in the end, about keeping the world’s oil supply safe. An oil supply that would not have mattered nearly as much had we not been so dependent on it. If anything, the horrible events of 9/11 should have driven home the need for energy independence.
We also learned the hard truth that many in the world do hate us. Much of it, however, has to do with envy — millions of people do not risk death by crossing our border because America is an undesirable place to live. There’s also the common psychological reaction to power; no one ever roots for Goliath. 
In some ways, 9/11 was the culmination of decades of U.S. foreign policy. The global goodwill justifiably earned by American fighting forces during WWII has slowly soured. Indeed, the US has been in a state of perpetual war with one enemy or another since 1950. And in some instances — because of poor decision-making in DC rather than the admirable efforts of our troops in the field — we have left places in worse condition than we found them, along with the unintended consequences of turning those who were once indifferent to the US into enemies. Thus, we need to be circumspect in how we exercise our awesome power. 
To coin a phrase by the CIA, not me, 9/11 was “blow-back.” And if we continue along a path that cares most for what best suits the military-industrial complex — as former president and five-star general Eisenhower warned us — 9/11 will not be the last such event. In a time in which thousands of nukes are live across the world, we need to seriously examine the question, “Why do they hate us”? And, as important, listen to the answers. The reason nearly 3,000 people died on 9/11 is because the perpetrators did not have the capacity to kill three million. Will that always be the case? It’s a question worth asking.
If this in any way sounds like a justification for the events that occurred 22 years ago, then you completely miss the point. Because what ultimately matters is do others justify it? And if so, then how do we make them no longer see the US in such a light? Given the fact that we are at it again, spending billions to prop up a losing campaign in a far off land against an old foe (one with a lot of nukes), I wonder if this less appealing moral of 9/11 will ever be absorbed. If not, then we are in for more down the road. Remember, no one who woke up that peaceful morning and breathed the clear, crisp late summer air could have imagined how the world would have changed by sundown. It happens that fast.
The United States has both the blessing and curse of historically unprecedented power. It must therefore be used wisely, deployed sparingly, and with the understanding that actions will have consequences if we are not careful. Even if those consequences are cowardly acts of mass murder, so long as cowardly mass murderers exist, so too does the danger. 
Fortunately, we have a counterweight here to the fools who are running this nation into the ground. That is called the spirit of the everyday American. A spirit we watched in real-time through countless acts of heroism and self-sacrifice on that otherwise terrible morning. We saw it in passengers taking down their own plane to save the lives of others. We saw it in New York firefighters making their way up the smoke-clogged stairwells into danger and what many knew would be their last mission, while injured and bewildered citizens were headed down the other way to safety. We saw it in how Americans, Left and Right, set aside their differences to join hands and express to the world with one voice: We Are Americans. We are a nation of good people.
Yet we still have the capacity, when pushed, to respond to such brazen affronts with a single-minded fury that Yamamoto understood sixty years earlier, while orchestrating another surprise attack on our nation. We are still a &#8220;sleeping giant,&#8221; not to be trifled with. Indeed, once we get rolling the only enemy who can defeat us is ourselves. And that, perhaps, is a lesson for the rest of the world to ponder.

The Navy SEAL who was a part of the team that killed Osama bin Laden expressed his fury over the U.S. Navy using a drag queen to advocate for Navy recruits.
Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley, who performs as a drag queen named “Harpy Daniels,” revealed in a November TikTok video that he would serve as the Navy&#8217;s first “digital ambassador.” The <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12044159/Navy-SEAL-killed-Bin-Laden-angry-Pentagon-using-drag-queen-recruitment-program.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">program</a> Kelley represented — for which he served as one of five digital ambassadors — ran from October 2022 to March 2023 and was designed to “explore the digital environment to reach a wide range of potential candidates.”

In his Instagram video, Kelley said he is &#8220;being the representation of people who were oppressed for years in the service.&#8221;
According to <a href="https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2023/04/10/the-genesis-of-todays-recruiting-crisis/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Military Times</a>, the U.S. Army missed its fiscal 2022 goal by 15,000 soldiers while the other branches of the U.S. military, with the exception of the Space Force, “barely made quota or had to pull extensively from their pools of delayed-entry applicants.”
The Military Times added that military officials informed legislators the recruitment lag would worsen in the next fiscal year.

The U.S. Navy, facing an uphill battle to recruit new members, decided one good way to go about the task is to deploy a drag queen influencer.
The Navy named Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley the first of five &#8220;Digital Ambassadors&#8221; for a recruitment program that lasted from October through March. Kelley dresses in drag and goes by the stage name of Harpy Daniels.
“Thank you to the Navy for giving me this opportunity! I don’t speak for the Navy but simply sharing my experience in the Navy! Hooyah, and let’s go Slay!” Kelley said in a post on Instagram. Kelley has also chronicled his journey of being a &#8220;non-binary&#8221; drag queen with the Navy through <a href="https://www.instagram.com/harpy_daniels/">Instagram</a> and TikTok accounts.
Kelley is part of a program “designed to explore the digital environment to reach a wide range of potential candidates” as the Navy faces “the most challenging recruiting environment it has faced since the start of the all-volunteer force,” a Navy spokesperson <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/critics-explode-over-us-navys-use-drag-queen-solve-recruiting-crisis">told</a> Fox News. The initiative was an attempt to &#8220;explore the digital environment to reach a wide range of potential candidates,&#8221; and it had concluded in April, a U.S. Navy spokesperson told The Daily Caller.
But why? Why does the Navy need a drag queen to recruit young men into the military? And why does the Navy need to lean into the debate about drag shows and LGBTQ expression, especially after the disastrous partnership between Bud Light and transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney?
None other than Robert J. O’Neill, a former U.S. Navy SEAL who was part of the Team Six mission that took out Osama bin Laden, blasted the military branch&#8217;s new drag-queen recruitment campaign.
&#8220;I can’t believe I fought for this bulls***,&#8221; he said.
O&#8217;Neill, who said he fired the bullet that killed bin Laden during the May 2, 2011, raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan, went on a tear on Twitter on Wednesday, blasting out messages to his nearly 600,000 followers.
“Alright. The US Navy is now using an enlisted sailor Drag Queen as a recruiter. I’m done. China is going to destroy us. YOU GOT THIS NAVY. I can’t believe I fought for this bulls***,” O’Neill wrote.

A few hours later, he went further, <a href="https://twitter.com/mchooyah/status/1654025555228934145">writing</a>: &#8220;You’re doing it wrong, @USNavy &#8230; Talk to someone whose [sic] actually done something! Not yeomen with t*** and a [slang word for penis].&#8221;
A slew of critics also blasted the move. “This is beyond disturbing. I’m a former military officer and I just can’t believe what our brass is doing,” one former military officer said, Fox News reported.
“Not this Navy veteran. I’m ashamed of the Navy,” wrote another veteran. “It’s an insult to every veteran. The army kept making me go to trans EO-type classes before I retired. Nope. Didn’t go.”

And a few lawmakers were particularly peeved.
&#8220;Woke, partisan officials are projecting weakness abroad and divisiveness at home,&#8221; said Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), who serves as the chairman of the House Military Personnel Subcommittee. &#8220;The recruitment shortage is a serious crisis that we must address with serious solutions. TikTok videos of drag queens are just making a bad problem worse,&#8221; he told Fox News.
&#8220;Maybe the Navy should talk to Bud Light marketing and exchange notes about what NOT to do,&#8221; Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), a former Navy SEAL, wrote on social media.

The U.S. State Department issued a &#8220;worldwide&#8221; caution alert for Americans Tuesday evening, warning that the likelihood that terrorists will strike U.S. interests has increased after the CIA killed Ayman Al Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s deputy and successor as leader of al-Qaeda.
&#8220;Following al-Zawahiri’s death, supporters of Al Qaeda, or its affiliated terrorist organizations, may seek to attack U.S. facilities, personnel, or citizens,&#8221; the alert said. &#8220;As terrorist attacks often occur without warning, U.S. citizens are strongly encouraged to maintain a high level of vigilance and practice good situational awareness when traveling abroad.&#8221;
The State Department said that it has reason to believe that the threat level to U.S. citizens is now &#8220;higher&#8221; after the drone strike terminated Al Zawahiri.
The warning said that Americans needed to be alert for the possibility of suicide operations, assassinations, kidnappings, hijackings, and bombings.
The advisory urged Americans to actively monitor local news and maintain contact with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
Terrorism experts <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/terrorism-experts-quickly-note-major-problem-as-biden-celebrates-cia-killing-al-qaeda-leader">quickly downplayed</a> Democrat President Joe Biden&#8217;s attempt to count the killing of Al Zawahiri in Afghanistan as a win for his administration, noting the fact that Al-Zawahiri having been in Afghanistan at all means that the terrorist group has returned to the country where they planned the 9/11 attacks.
During the chaotic pullout from Afghanistan last year, Biden <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2021/08/20/remarks-by-president-biden-on-evacuations-in-afghanistan/">declared</a> that al-Qaeda was “gone” from Afghanistan.
“The killing of Al Qaeda emir Ayman al Zawahiri will be sold as a counterterrorism success. But that narrative masks the undeniable truth that Taliban-controlled Afghanistan is a safe have for Al Qaeda,” Bill Roggio, terrorism analyst at the Long War Journal, <a href="https://twitter.com/billroggio/status/1554266397836025856">tweeted</a>. “The strike that killed Zawahiri is the first since the U.S withdrawal 1+ months ago. The U.S. saved best for first, and made the first counterterrorism strike count.”
“Zawahiri was killed in the Sherpur neighborhood, in a home run by a deputy of Sirajuddin Haqqani. Sirajuddin is of course one of two deputy Taliban emirs as well as the interior minister,” he continued. “Zawahiri could not operate in Afghanistan – particularly in Kabul – without the consent of the Taliban. He wasn’t in the remote mountains of Kunar, Nuristan, or Nangarhar, or distant provinces of Ghazni, Helmand, or Kandahar. He was in the Taliban’s capital.”
Max Abrahms, an International Security professor, said that killing Al Zawahiri was not “the categorical win Biden says.”
“The Taliban was supposed to prevent Al Qaeda leaders from hiding out there for goodness sake,” Abrahms added.
“There was a reason that Ayman al-Zawahiri was in Kabul,” said Tim Kennedy, a former special forces operator. “Serving as the #2 to Bin Laden in al Qaeda he took advantage of our failed evacuation of Afghanistan and the power vacuum. It is a safe haven for terrorists all around the world. This is a byproduct of what we created.”

A CIA drone strike in Afghanistan was successful in killing Al Qaeda leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri, who has led the Islamic terrorist group ever since U.S. Navy SEALs killed Osama bin Laden in 2011, according to reports.
Fox News anchor Bret Baier confirmed the news live on air Monday afternoon. He added that intelligence sources said that this was a big win for the U.S.
The Washington Post and Associated Press later confirmed the news of Al-Zawahiri&#8217;s death.
A senior administration official told reporters that “over the weekend, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation against a significant Al Qaeda target in Afghanistan.”
“The operation was successful and there were no civilian casualties,” the official added.
Al-Zawahiri, who was one of the most wanted terrorists in the world, oversaw the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the U.S.
Some experts believed that Al-Zawahiri was killed during an operation in November 2020 but a recent United Nations report from a few weeks ago said that he was “confirmed to be alive” and was “communicating freely.”
“Member States note that al-Zawahiri’s apparent increased comfort and ability to communicate has coincided with the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and the consolidation of power of key [Al Qaeda] allies within their de facto administration,” the report said.
The Taliban took over Afghanistan following Democrat President Joe Biden&#8217;s disastrous withdraw from the country last year.
The next in line the of succession is Saif al Adel, a longtime Al Qaeda leader and veteran, followed by &#8220;Abdal-Rahman al-Maghrebi, Yazid Mebrak, the emir of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, and Ahmed Diriye, the leader of Shabaab, which is Al Qaeda’s branch in East Africa,&#8221; the Long War Journal <a href="https://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2022/07/ayman-al-zawahiri-is-alive-taliban-and-al-qaeda-remain-close-un-reports.php">reported</a>.
Al-Zawahiri was an Egyptian physician who later started the Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ), which sought to overthrow the government and later merged with Al Qaeda in 1998.
An FBI most wanted <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/wanted_terrorists/ayman-al-zawahiri/download.pdf">bulletin</a> of Al-Zawahiri noted that he had been indicted for his alleged role in the August 7, 1998, bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya.

The Navy’s <a href="https://www.dvidshub.net/video/844401/navspeaks-pronouns">video</a>, modeled after a children’s show, is meant is meant to emphasize &#8220;the importance of using correct pronouns as well as polite etiquette when you may not be sure of someone&#8217;s pronouns,&#8221; according to the Navy, <a href="https://freebeacon.com/national-security/pride-month-heres-how-the-navy-is-training-sailors-on-proper-gender-pronouns/">The Washington Free Beacon</a> reported.

The video features two engineers from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Conchy Vasquez and Jony Rozon. Rozon says, “Hi. My name is Jony and I use he/him pronouns.” Vasquez follows, “Hi. My name is Conchy and I use she/her pronouns.”
“Using the right pronouns is a really simple way to affirm somebody’s identity,” Rozon says loftily. “It is a signal of acceptance and respect.”
“If it is a signal of acceptance and respect, how do we go about creating a safe space for everybody,” Vasquez asks.
“That’s a good question. A really good way to do that is to use inclusive language,” Rozon replies. “Instead of saying something like, ‘Hey, guys,&#8217; you could say, &#8216;Hey everyone,&#8217; or &#8216;Hey team.&#8217;”
“But what would I do if I misgender someone,” Rozon queries.
“I think the first thing to recognize is that it’s not the end of the world,” Vasquez smiles. “you correct yourself and move on or you accept the correction and move on. The most important thing I can tell you is you don’t put the burden of making you feel good about your mistake on the person you just misgendered.”
In June 2021, O’Neill slammed President Biden after Biden claimed at a press conference that white supremacists were a greater terrorism threat than al-Qaeda.
“We must not give hate a safe harbor. As I said in my address to the joint session of Congress, according to the Intelligence Community, terrorism from white supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today, not ISIS, not Al-Qaeda — white supremacists,” Biden said. “That’s not me. That’s the intelligence community under both Trump and under my administration.”
