Northwestern University administrators and faculty members recently signed a resolution calling Israel a “terror” state and demanding the school boycott the country.
The <a href="https://freebeacon.com/campus/northwestern-administrators-pass-resolution-calling-for-boycott-of-terror-state-israel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">resolution</a>, obtained by <a href="https://freebeacon.com/campus/northwestern-administrators-pass-resolution-calling-for-boycott-of-terror-state-israel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Washington Free Beacon</a>, comes just a week after the university <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/northwestern-university-caves-to-anti-israel-protesters-granting-numerous-demands" target="_blank" rel="noopener">caved</a> to anti-Israel protesters, including funding for full-ride scholarships and two faculty positions for Palestinians.
&#8220;After months of tightening what has — for the last 76 years — been a brutal and insufferable occupation, Israel is leading a multifront war on the people of Palestine that can only be described as ethnic cleansing and genocide,&#8221; the resolution says.
&#8220;Despite the immense loss of life and all that sustains it, US diplomatic, military, and top academic institutions have chosen to stand firmly on the side of terror,&#8221; the statement added. &#8220;Northwestern is no exception.&#8221;
The resolution also blasted Northwestern for creating an Advisory Committee on Preventing Antisemitism and a Committee on Free Expression aimed at addressing anti-Semitism on campus, the Free Beacon reported.
&#8220;Between establishing bodies to police our tone, arresting students for exercising their rights, and openly calling for the silencing of pro-Palestinian voices, it is clear that our institution&#8217;s singular response has been one of censorship of any and all voices deemed uncomfortable or challenging to the status quo,&#8221; the resolution said.
One of the signatories was Liv Harmening, the outreach and education coordinator for Northwestern&#8217;s Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance, leading to questions as to whether a Jewish student could receive fair treatment in a campus disciplinary proceeding.
A spokesman for the university told the outlet that Northwestern &#8220;has no tolerance for discrimination or harassment. We are reviewing the document. To be clear, Northwestern has not committed to divestment from Israel.&#8221;

While the spokesman dismissed the resolution, it follows the concessions Northwestern made to anti-Israel demonstrators just one week earlier.

And while the university did not say it would divest from Israeli companies, it did say it would re-establish its Advisory Committee on Investment Responsibility, allowing students, faculty, and staff a say in how the school invests its endowment, opening a door for those who want to divest from Israel.
Two lawsuits <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lawsuits-filed-against-northwestern-university-following-agreement-with-anti-israel-protesters" target="_blank" rel="noopener">were filed</a> against Northwestern following the agreement, one alleging that the scholarships and faculty positions violated federal civil rights law, and the other filed by three students alleging the university enabled the harassment of Jewish students.

Two lawsuits have been filed against Northwestern University following the school’s agreement with anti-Israel protesters that it would fund scholarships and teaching positions to Palestinians.
Each lawsuit was filed Wednesday, just two days after the university <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/northwestern-university-caves-to-anti-israel-protesters-granting-numerous-demands" target="_blank" rel="noopener">caved</a> to protesters who had been occupying the school’s Deering Meadow. One lawsuit was filed by students while the other was filed by a conservative legal organization.
The first lawsuit, filed by three Northwestern students, accuses the university of enabling the harassment of Jewish students by allowing the anti-Israel tent encampment to remain on campus for several days, CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/lawsuit-northwestern-university-harassment-pro-palestinian-encampment/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. The three suing students – identified in the lawsuit only as Jane Joe, John Doe 1, and John Doe 2 – claim they experienced anti-Semitic harassment during the six days the encampment was in place.
The lawsuit claims that protesters could be seen “openly glorifying” Hamas, the terrorist organization that is the de facto government in the Gaza Strip. They said one protester &#8220;barked at passersby demanding they state whether they speak Hebrew.&#8221;
A photo included in the lawsuit showed a protest sign depicting Northwestern’s Jewish president Michael Schill as a “bloodthirsty devil.” The photo also shows other protest signs placed on a fence, one of which says “from the river to the sea,” a phrase typically seen as a rallying cry to destroy Israel. The students who filed the lawsuit called the phrase &#8220;a genocidal slogan that calls for the elimination of the State of Israel (and, with it, the cleansing or subjugation of its millions of Jewish inhabitants).&#8221;
The <a href="https://will-law.org/will-files-federal-discrimination-complaint-against-university-in-the-wake-of-nationwide-pro-hamas-protests/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">second lawsuit</a>, filed by the Wisconsin Institute for Law &amp; Liberty (WILL), argues that Northwestern’s agreement to provide nearly “$1.9 million in scholarship funds, faculty positions, and student-organization space to Palestinian students and staff” violates Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination “on the grounds of race, color, or national origin.”
Because Northwestern receives federal funds, it is subject to Title VI and therefore cannot discriminate against students for their race. In the school’s <a href="https://www.northwestern.edu/leadership-notes/2024/agreement-on-deering-meadow.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">agreement</a> with protesters, Northwestern agreed to provide five full-ride scholarships for Palestinian students and fund two Palestinian faculty members for two years. The university also said it would commit “to fundraise to sustain this program beyond this current commitment.”

While many colleges that have been overtaken by anti-Israel demonstrators have begun <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/university-of-florida-slams-leftist-protesters-while-announcing-arrests-not-a-daycare" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cracking</a> <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nypd-storms-columbias-hamilton-hall-after-pro-hamas-protesters-illegally-took-control-of-building">down</a> on the encampments and violence, Northwestern University has instead caved to protester demands.
In <a href="https://www.northwestern.edu/leadership-notes/2024/agreement-on-deering-meadow.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a document</a> released Tuesday, Northwestern has vowed to make concessions to protesters, including five full-ride scholarships for Palestinian students and funding two Palestinian faculty members for two years. The university also said it would commit “to fundraise to sustain this program beyond this current commitment.”
The university will also “provide immediate temporary space for [Middle East and North Africa] MENA/Muslim students.” Following that, Northwestern said it plans to provide and renovate a house for these students “as soon as practicably possible” after it finishes its current renovation project, slated for completion in 2026.
The university will include Jewish students in a “process dedicated to ensuring additional support for Jewish and Muslim students within Student Affairs/Religious &amp; Spiritual Life.”
And while the university did not say it would divest from Israeli companies, it did say it would re-establish its Advisory Committee on Investment Responsibility, allowing students, faculty, and staff a say in how the school invests its endowment, opening a door for those who want to divest from Israel.
The university also said it would “answer questions from any internal stakeholder about specific holdings, held currently or within the last quarter, to the best of its knowledge and to the extent legally possible” within 30 days or provide a reason and timeline for a later response.
As for the camp itself, Northwestern said it would permit “peaceful demonstrations” on the campus’ Deering Meadow through the end of the spring semester, provided such activity adheres to university policies. The school said one aid tent would be allowed to remain in the encampment, but all other tents must be removed.
In addition, protesters may not use bullhorns or any other devices that project or amplify sound unless approved in advance. Only members of the Northwestern community will be allowed in the demonstration area unless authorized by the university.

However, the university said it would “publicly condemn the doxing of any community member and will advise employers not to rescind job offers for students engaging in speech protected by the First Amendment.”
In <a href="https://www.northwestern.edu/leadership-notes/2024/april-29-agreement-on-deering-meadow.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a statement</a> announcing the agreement, Northwestern said the agreement “represents a sustainable and de-escalated path forward, and enhances the safety of all members of the Northwestern community while providing space for free expression that complies with University rules and policies.”
Northwestern also blamed “antisemitic and anti-Muslim/Palestinian” incidents on people not affiliated with the university, and said any members of the community “who can be identified participating in such acts will face disciplinary action.” Most of the anti-Israel protesters wear masks to hide their faces.
The agreement has been met with condemnations from those who support Israel. The Anti-Defamation League called the agreement “reprehensible.”
“The agreement between Northwestern University leadership and encampment organizers is reprehensible, dangerous, and a case study in failed leadership,” the organization’s Midwest division said in <a href="https://twitter.com/ADLMidwest/status/1785082201551360319?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1785082201551360319%7Ctwgr%5Ed7325dbe194c27754c73958154c959dd7f24f038%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonexaminer.com%2Fnews%2F2984191%2Fadl-slams-northwestern-agreement-anti-israel-protesters%2F" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a statement</a> posted to X. “For days, protesters violated campus codes of conduct and policies, intentionally fanned the flames of hate and antisemitism, and wreaked havoc on campus life. Instead of holding the perpetrators accountable, the university rewarded them. It would be unbelievable if it wasn’t true.”
Israel’s consulate in Chicago also condemned the agreement in <a href="https://twitter.com/IsraelinChicago/status/1785125600232874369" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a post</a> on X, saying the university “declared itself a safe space for Antisemitism.”
“We are appalled by Northwestern&#8217;s decision to turn its back on Jewish and Israeli students who have been targets of hateful harassment and intimidation. This decision rewards the pro-terror, anti-Israel, and anti-America aggressors on campus,” the consulate wrote. “This appeasement agreement is a dark day in Northwestern history.”

One of the nation&#8217;s most prestigious law schools admitted a transgender student who in his application dismissed his diagnoses of mental disorders as coming from a “white bitch” psychiatrist in “Amerikkka,” then later cursed out a feminist law professor as transphobic and sent bizarre emails to the entire student body, according to documents reviewed by The Daily Wire.
Northwestern School of Law capitulated to the student, Ishani Chokshi, and even gave him his own law journal, which published his screeds likening judges’ gavels to “dildos.” And last month, a year after Chokshi graduated, a prestigious law journal published a “legal paper” by him that details his purported sexual escapades with seven men.
On May 3, Northwestern Law’s Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology published <a href="https://scholarlycommons.law.northwestern.edu/jclc_online/22/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Of Law and Men,”</a> attributed to “badgaltranny,” an alias of Chokshi, in which he wrote, “I, an Indian-American transgender woman, share stories of my sexual escapades with seven Trump supporters.”
The publication of the profane screed in a reputable journal gives insight into the culture that has overtaken top law schools, including the shouting down of a conservative federal judge by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-stanford-laws-diversity-dean-protesters-poached-their-trans-martyr-from-federalist-society">Stanford Law</a> students who said they felt too unsafe to participate in a debate.
As law schools scrambled to increase “diversity” by admitting more minorities, the highly selective Evanston, Illinois, school bit at Chokshi’s application, which an email he later sent to the whole school suggested consisted of a “personal statement” railing against whites and the West and delving into his sexuality.
“This is the story of the time I overcome a crippling misdiagnosis by a white bitchy psychologist; it is also the story of how I came to terms with myself as a transgender woman,” the personal statement began. “It puts me in the clichéd paradox of having to prove my sanity to you, something I like to think I already did for my undergraduate thesis and didn’t intend on repeating for anyone (especially not a bunch of lawyers).”
“You see, I fell into the Western lack of space when a white woman misdiagnosed me with ‘other’ psychosis and ‘possible’ schizophrenia, a fate all too common for trans women of color. For the cherry on top, she told me that I would never get into any law school (especially not Harvard) due to my cannabis use… As I had just smoked a joint before coming into the office, this frightened me.”
In reality, Chokshi said, “my verbal fluency was essentially unmatchable, my overall intelligence: very superior, and my emotional intelligence: extraordinary.”
“A Black woman who did my initial intake, revolted against her boss’s misdiagnosis. She did not see my pain as psychotic, but real. She rediagnosed me with the holy trinity of anxiety, depression, and PTSD… The psychologists’ differing diagnoses, literally black-and-white, is a poetic microcosm of American racial consciousness.”
But once Chokshi was on campus, his actions raised questions about which therapist was right.
He routinely spammed a listserv that included every member of the student body with sentiments such as “it is not the judge’s tongue but his c&#8211;k which reins [sic].” The emails, reviewed by The Daily Wire, also included mundane musings such as “I am emailing because today is my birthday… I am asking for donations of $5,000 and $10,000.”
In January 2020, Northwestern awarded Chokshi the &#8220;winner of the MLK Dream Week Chicago Campus <a href="https://www.facebook.com/NorthwesternLaw/posts/we-are-northwestern-students-amongst-the-most-powerful-people-in-the-world-but-a/3022723084444661/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Oratorical Contest</a>.&#8221;
The chaos was not limited to cyberspace. After a professor, Tonja Jacobi, asked Chokshi to move away from the doorway when smoking a cigarette, Chokshi screamed that she was a “f&#8211;king bitch.” Chokshi eventually issued a seemingly forced apology to Jacobi, saying, “I am emailing to deliver you my apology for the smoking incident a few weeks ago… I spoke disrespectfully and offensively to your request that I move further away from the door.”
Jacobi did not accept the apology, copying administrators and saying that Chokshi was anti-woman.
“This was not a ‘smoking incident;’ this was verbal abuse combined with sexist epithets and bullying conduct,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;I have made Northwestern&#8217;s office of equity aware of the situation because it meets the criteria for discriminatory and harassing conduct based on a protected category.&#8221;
Chokshi then took to the all-student listserv saying Jacobi had “harassed” him. Jacobi, who is accomplished in advancing women’s rights, took umbrage and said so.
“I dispute that there was any harassment, and certainly I had no interaction with you that had any relationship to you being trans,&#8221; Jacobi wrote in an email to Chokshi. &#8220;This claim and the implication it carries can only do considerable harm to the important cause of promoting the rights of trans persons&#8230; I read that email as you crying wolf.&#8221;
Chokshi then targeted Jacobi’s race, denigrating her as a “yt woman” in an email to the entire student body.
“Unfortunately, I&#8217;ve been compelled to email the whole listserv again about my experience at the hands of a faculty member,” it began. Chokshi claimed that Dean Kimberly A. Yuracko had taken his side against Jacobi and written to him to say, &#8220;[i]n addition to communicating to [Tonja Jacobi] that her behavior was uncivil, inappropriate, and out of line, I will also instruct her not to contact you&#8230; I will also speak with Tonja about the myriad power dynamics at play between the two of you and ensure she is mindful of those dynamics and does not use them to her unfair advantage.&#8221;
Chokshi asked students to flood Jacobi’s inbox to “educate her about the ways white women weaponize their ‘hurt feelings’ to demonize women of color, and especially trans women of color, to paint us as ‘aggressive’ whenever we resist ill treatment by their hands.” They should also “Email Dean Yuracko&#8230; asking for radical changes to the structure, culture, and approach to leadership at the law school.” If students “decline” to do this, “please refrain from offering me your sympathies… Honestly, I’m f&#8211;king tired,” Chokshi wrote.
The school’s identity groups, such as the Black Law Students Association, co-wrote an “open letter” doing as Chokshi instructed.
In August 2021, the Northwestern University Law Review, its most competitive journal, published an <a href="https://blog.northwesternlaw.review/?p=2549" target="_blank" rel="noopener">article</a> by Chokshi in which he explained how he argued a mock case by saying, “In closing, I would like to note that I am a trans woman of color and so you should decide for me.”
In April 2022, Northwestern appeared to make further concessions to Chokshi by creating a new law journal for him. “Please consider applying for the Executive Board of the <a href="https://nljr.law.northwestern.edu/about-2/masthead/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northwestern Law Journal des Refusés</a> (NLJR), approved just a few weeks ago by Dean Hari Osofsky for an initial 2-year probationary period!” he wrote to the student body, calling it “the newest, coolest, hippest, most ~avant-garde~ Journal of Law on the block.”
The journal published a book of Chokshi’s ramblings on gavel dildos and other topics and distributed it around campus.
Chokshi graduated in May 2022. But last month, the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, a longstanding law journal, belatedly published his paper about his sexual escapades.
“I invited them into my bed. The boys. Seven of them I know for sure were Trumpies, many others I can only hazard a guess,” the supposedly academic paper read. “The second of my seven Trumpies told me conspiracies about Jews as I laid naked in his lap,” it said. “My third Trumpy had a framed picture of Bannon on his piano. … He would f&#8211;k me furiously and never climax.”
“I see all the Jew-skeptic, Black-fearing, tranny-f&#8211;king Trumpies talking eloquently about how ‘the lack of respect for Law &amp; Order is the main thing’ as they vote for the man who has never submitted to neither Law nor Woman. … I see genocide in our future,” it continued.
“When Law Professor Storyhaters label storytelling as too biased for legitimate scholarship, they do not have legitimate worries of psychobabble. … Theorizing gives Storyhaters a false sense of power over their own psychosexual frustrations.”
The journal’s editors did not respond to questions about its legal and academic value, nor did Chokshi.

Parents were often “pressured” into transitioning their children to treat gender dysphoria, after which the parents reported worse mental health outcomes for their children, according to a new study.
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/northwestern-university" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northwestern University</a> psychology professor Michael Bailey analyzed survey data from 1,655 parents of youth and young adult children who identified as the opposite sex or non-binary. The survey data was compiled by the anonymous support group Parents of Rapid-Onset Gender Dysphoria (ROGD) Kids, an organization that collects horror stories from parents whose children struggled with gender dysphoria.
The data collected came from families with children who began to identify as transgender between the ages of 11 and 21.
Bailey’s study found that gender dysphoria impacted girls much more often than boys, 75% of the gender dysphoric children were biological females. Girls were also much more likely to socially transition or more in order to match their gender identity. A history of mental health issues was a defining trait of most children who later struggled with gender dysphoria.
“Pre-existing mental health issues were common, and youths with these issues were more likely than those without them to have socially and medically transitioned,” the <a href="https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10508-023-02576-9" target="_blank" rel="noopener">study</a> says. “Parents reported that they had often felt pressured by clinicians to affirm their AYA child’s new gender and support their transition. According to the parents, AYA children’s mental health deteriorated considerably after social transition.”
Parents of ROGD Kids say the study backs up its assertions that one of the prime causes of gender dysphoria and transgender identification in young people is social contagion. Girls are especially susceptible to suggestion and group think influenced by their social circles, the group says.
“These youth are most likely using ‘gender dysphoria’ to describe general feelings of dysphoria that they have no other name for, and do not understand. Transitioning will not help them. It can only cause irreversible harm and make things much worse,” the group said in a <a href="https://www.parentsofrogdkids.com/press-releases/2023/3/30/largest-study-to-date-supports-rapid-onset-gender-dysphoria-model-indicates-a-more-cautious-approach-required" target="_blank" rel="noopener">press release</a> touting the study.
In a footnote to its release, Parents of ROGD Kids also knocked The Washington Post for an article the paper published last month suggesting that transgender treatment led to happier outcomes from people who identify as transgender.
“On March 23, 2023, the Washington Post reported on <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/documents/dfa015fb-e64f-4eb2-9cfd-048d9e9dc108.pdf?itid=lk_inline_manual_7" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a survey</a> that found the majority of trans adults were happy they had transitioned. While they may feel that way, on every question relating to mental health and social functioning, they rated themselves as worse off than the total population surveyed,” the group said.
“Most alarming, 78% of trans respondents reported that they had serious mental health issues as a child or teenager. These results support our conclusion: Transitioning does not improve social and emotional functioning,” it added.

One of the nation&#8217;s top law schools allegedly paid for a &#8220;big gay dance party&#8221; and exempted some students from class when activists balked after the school&#8217;s diversity office funded programs advocating for diverse viewpoints and civil debate.
Students at Northwestern School of Law were invited Feb. 15 to join &#8220;Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity &amp; Inclusion Mike Burns and Professor Joshua Kleinfeld for a program titled How to Disagree Without Being Disagreeable,&#8221; the inaugural event in a new <a href="https://wwws.law.northwestern.edu/student-life/events/eventsdisplay.cfm?i=179918" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Civility Series</a>. The event was organized by two students with funding from the Office of Diversity, Equity &amp; Inclusion. The two students, Dominic Bayer and Bailey Cordonnier, are affiliated with the school&#8217;s chapter of the conservative Federalist Society.
A week later, the school held an <a href="https://wwws.law.northwestern.edu/student-life/events/eventsdisplay.cfm?i=179959" target="_blank" rel="noopener">event</a> sponsored by the Federalist Society that hosted a debate between Kleinfeld and Erin Hawley on the abortion pill GenBioPro and potential federal legal issues surrounding it. Hawley is an accomplished lawyer, wife of Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Missouri), and senior counsel to the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).
Gay students in a group called OUTlaw launched a campaign to silence the speakers, arguing that &#8220;civility&#8221; is itself racist.
&#8220;As we noted to DEIE staff prior to the event, &#8216;civility&#8217; has long been used as a white supremacist dog whistle,&#8221; they claimed. &#8220;We are pained by DEIE’s failure to conduct due diligence in awarding a fellowship to Bailey and Dominic and failure to heed LGBTQ+ student leaders when we told DEIE the exact intent behind the civility event.&#8221;
The students said that ADF was objectionable because the Southern Poverty Law Center deemed it a &#8220;hate group&#8221; in part because one of its employees allegedly said in 2014 that “The endgame of the homosexual legal agenda is unfettered sexual liberty and the <a href="https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/group/alliance-defending-freedom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">silencing</a> of all dissent.”
In response, activists covered up fliers for the event with ones bemoaning &#8220;hate groups,&#8221; a photo obtained by The Daily Wire shows. A student said the flyers have remained up for more than three days despite violating the university’s <a href="https://www.law.northwestern.edu/about/marketing-communications/advertising/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">policies</a>.
The flyers linked to a <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ax3yFlq_rzKV5fneqpMFy-vg_Ho4PgVfMYdIz7e5oCU/edit" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> signed by 29 campus groups and 50 students that asked students to dress in black to mourn the fact that the event occurred.

A student told The Daily Wire that Dean Hari Osofsky announced this week that the Law School would use its special events budget to subsidize a <a href="https://www.law.northwestern.edu/events/event-details/?rid=1164302&amp;bid=958309">&#8220;Big Gay Dance Party&#8221;</a> in response to the protests over the Federalist Society&#8217;s speakers.
&#8220;Professors at the school have urged students to skip scheduled classes to attend,&#8221; the student said. &#8220;The event will be held in the Law School’s central atrium, which students must traverse to reach their classrooms.”
The student described a &#8220;listening session&#8221; Osofsky held to discuss the gay dance party where students called for members of the Federalist Society to be driven out of public life and denied legal employment. An administrator &#8220;thanked&#8221; these students for their activism, the student said.
Northwestern Law did not return a request for comment.
“It&#8217;s incredibly concerning that these students – future lawyers and judges – are relying on the scandal-ridden Southern Poverty Law Center to support their intolerance of differing viewpoints. The SPLC is a thoroughly discredited, blatantly partisan activist organization with zero moral authority,&#8221; Hawley told The Daily Wire. &#8220;We must restore a culture of free speech and civil discourse at Northwestern and other law schools.&#8221;
Northwestern is one of the most elite law schools in the country, one of the &#8220;T14&#8221; schools representing the top 14 schools ranked by U.S. News &#8212; though in November, the school said it was <a href="https://news.law.northwestern.edu/us-news-rankings-participation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pulling out</a> of the rankings amid criticism the methodology is racist.
Graduates of the $71,432-a-year private law school earn a median income of <a href="https://collegescorecard.ed.gov/school/fields/?147767-Northwestern-University" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$206,000</a> a year three years after graduation, according to the Department of Education.
Last year, a Federalist Society-ADF event was met with protest at Yale Law School, leading to a stern condemnation of the students by Dean Heather Gerken.
&#8220;Our commitment to free speech is clear and unwavering&#8230; this behavior was unacceptable; at a minimum it violated the norms of this Law School,” she wrote. “YLS is a professional school, and this is not how lawyers interact&#8230; university leaders are constantly asked to be referees, encouraging our students to appeal to a higher authority rather than to engage with one another.&#8221;

Northwestern University’s multicultural center is hosting a “BDSM FUNdamentals” workshop titled “unBound: Black Sexual Liberation” in light of Black History Month. 
According to a report from the <a href="https://freebeacon.com/campus/northwesterns-black-history-month-programming-includes-lesson-on-bdsm/">Washington Free Beacon</a>, the event is hosted by an individual who goes by the name Vee and also by the name Elecrt0papi. Vee uses the pronouns “they” and “she.” Vee considers themselves to be a “two spirit Black and Indigenous facilitator and healer.” 
The event description says that Vee studies “kink, polyamory, and communication in an effort to develop their keen awareness of the future they want to build with multiple co-conspirators in love by reclaiming the body through pleasure practices.” 
“Participants will be introduced to the ways that the body can harness BDSM play &#8230; as a tool of reclamation,” the description reads. “The role of healing in this process will forefront the presentation.” 
The event is part of the multicultural center’s larger programming for Black History Month. Other events include “Solidari-Tea: Reimaging Black Asian Feminist Solidary,” in which black students and Asian students are asked to recenter their communities around mutual feminism and inclusivity.
The 2018 Black History Month schedule appeared far more apolitical with events such as an Afro-Fusion Zumba class, a mental health panel, and a black student organization showcase. In the years following, the Black History Month schedule became increasingly political and sexual. 
Last year, the school hosted events entitled “Black House Community Night: Black and Queer Conversations” and “A Program Centering the Lived Experiences of Black Women and Femmes.” The second event was previously named “Black Girl Meetup” but was renamed following a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. 
The university’s multicultural center did not respond to The Daily Wire’s requests for comment. 
In 2018, the university hosted a similar BDSM event with Lady Sophia the Dominatrix. According to <a href="https://dailynorthwestern.com/2018/04/05/lateststories/dominatrix-visits-campus-to-discuss-bdsm-tackle-taboo-around-sex/">The Daily Northwestern</a>, Lady Sophia the Dominatrix visited the university to “promote healthy bondage, dominance, sadism, and masochism in relationships.” The talk was part of a broader campaign sponsored by the university called “Sex Week.” 
Sex Weeks are school-sponsored events — sometimes sponsored by the abortion giant Planned Parenthood — which provide lectures and information on sex, among left-wing social justice causes. 
On Feb. 14-19, Ohio State University hosted its third-annual “Sex Week,” with the mission to “educate [the] community about sexual health in all its forms,” including non-traditional sex topics such as “LGBTQ sex ed, healthy masculinity, gender equality, and reproductive rights.”

One event was hosted alongside a slew of pro-abortion organizations. The event “The Policy On Our Bodies” featured representatives from the ACLU of Ohio, Planned Parenthood, Fight for Her, If/When/How, and NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio. </blockquote>

Northwestern University Hosts ‘BDSM’ Event For Black History Month

A Northwestern University professor of journalism was caught up in the fervor of #MeToo allegations in March 2018. At the time, he chose to resign rather than fight, knowing there was nothing he could do during a movement that rewarded vague and unverified allegations over denials and evidence.
“I understood there was nothing I could do about what was happening,” Klein wrote in a book he has published about his ordeal, as <a href="https://nypost.com/2020/12/26/alec-klein-unfounded-metoo-accusations-destroyed-my-life/">reported</a> by the New York Post.
The book, “Aftermath: When It Felt Like Life Was Over,” is now available. In it, Klein details the allegations against him, the evidence that contradicts the claims (that was ignored by the media), and what it was like to experience the false allegations.
As the Post reported, students and staff members at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism accused him of sexual misconduct. Some of those who accused him had years earlier written “stellar evaluations” of their time as his students.
Some of the allegations included:

<blockquote>Klein attempted to kiss a prospective employee, prior to hiring her. On the same occasion, he asked if she smoked marijuana and asked to smoke with her and ordered her several cocktails. </blockquote>

</li>
<li>
<blockquote>He gave unwanted neck massages while a female employee was trying to work. </blockquote>

<li>
<blockquote>He frequently commented on employees’ physical attractiveness, appearances, attire and bodies. </blockquote>
</li>
<li>
<blockquote>He sent texts “intended for his wife” to a female student. </blockquote>
</li>
<li>
<blockquote>He asked an employee if she was a stripper. </blockquote>
</li>
</ul>
A second letter of allegations followed the first. One of the allegations was from a former employee who worked at the Medill Justice Project in 2015. She claimed Klein made sexual advances toward her when she applied for the job and when she was employed, but the school couldn’t substantiate her allegations when she made them years ago.
Further, the woman, according to Klein, made inconsistent statements during her allegations, so he was surprised that the “university did not even lift a finger when it should be defending him even after deciding that those allegations were false three years ago.”
Klein’s work at Northwestern focused on the wrongly accused, so it was surreal for him to become one of the very people he usually wrote about, the Post reported.
“Cancel culture is a phrase but what happens to the real people who are canceled?” Klein asked The Post. “Even very high-profile individuals have for the most part just up and disappeared. It’s dangerous. Anyone can get canceled over anything. It’s the weaponization of the Internet and it’s scary.”
Klein took part in Northwestern’s investigation against him regarding the allegations from 2018, but it is unclear how that investigation turned out. The university hasn’t confirmed that Klein was found in violation of school policy, though several of his accusers claim just that.

Northwestern University President Morty Schapiro delivered a strong condemnation of recent anti-police demonstrations from students and alleged agitators in Evanston, Illinois, over the weekend, marking a rare instance of a college president condemning left-wing unrest. 
In a letter published on Monday afternoon, Schapiro said that the university recognized &#8220;the many injustices faced by Black and other marginalized groups&#8221; and explained that he believes concerns about policing and criminal justice reform are valid. But he quickly drew a line in the sand, saying the university would &#8220;continue improving&#8221; the police department but not abolish it, as protesters have suggested. He also said the university would not stand for law-breaking.
“What started as peaceful protests have recently grown into expressions that have been anything but peaceful or productive. Crowds blocked the streets of downtown Evanston and nearby residential areas, disrupting businesses and local families, defacing property and violating laws and University standards. Some of the instigators appear not to be Northwestern students at all, but rather outside activists,&#8221; said Schapiro. 
Dismissing the idea that demonstrators have simply been trying to gain attention from officials to further their own cause, Schapiro suggested organizers in recent days have been trying to provoke a response from the university police department by escalating their tactics, which he called an unacceptable overstep. 
“I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the overstepping of the protestors. They have no right to menace members of our academic and surrounding communities,” said the university president. “When students and other participants are vandalizing, lighting fires, and spray-painting phrases such as ‘kill the pigs,’ we have moved well past legitimate forms of free speech.”
According to <a href="https://dailynorthwestern.com/2020/10/19/campus/disarm-defund-disband-students-are-marching-every-day-until-northwestern-abolishes-nupd/">The Daily Northwestern</a>, the school’s student newspaper, the local organization “NU Community Not Cops” led about 300 demonstrators to Schapiro’s house on Saturday night to demand he abolish the university police department. 
“Divest from NUPD, disband NUPD, invest in Black lives and get the f*** out of our University,” one student shouted toward a crowd, reported the news agency. 
Schapiro, who had police officers outside his home, condemned the demonstrators for bringing “vile and personal” attacks to him while his family should have been asleep. He also said the crowd chanted other things, such as “f*** you Morty,” and “Piggy Morty,” and explained that &#8220;the latter comes dangerously close to a longstanding trope against observant Jews like myself.&#8221;
“To those protesters and their supporters who justify such actions, I ask you to take a long hard look in the mirror and realize that this isn’t actually ‘speaking truth to power’ or furthering your cause. It is an abomination, and you should be ashamed of yourselves,” said Schapiro. 
The university president also said that any Northwestern students who violated university policy or broke the law would be held accountable for their actions. 
“If you haven’t yet gotten my point, I am disgusted by those who chose to disgrace this University in such a fashion,” added Schapiro. 
He concluded: “I remain as open and willing as ever to speak to any member of the Northwestern family who has concerns about the safety of this campus and everyone who is part of it. But I refuse to engage with individuals who continue to use the tactics of intimidation and violence.”
Northwestern University is about half an hour from Chicago, which was a hotbed for left-wing unrest earlier this summer, including an incident where <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-chicago-police-release-video-of-antifa-using-protest-as-cover-changing-to-all-black-arming-against-cops">black-clad individuals ambushed</a> and injured police officers guarding a statue of Christopher Columbus.

‘I Am Disgusted’: Northwestern University President Slams Anti-Police Protesters For Intimidation Tactics

Last week, former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions spoke at a Northwestern University College Republicans event. The school newspaper, The Daily Northwestern, sent two reporters to cover the event – one to cover the event itself and another to report on the protesters outside.
The paper printed photos from the event, which necessarily included photos of the protesters. Students then complained, claiming they were not only traumatized by Sessions’ presence, but also re-traumatized after their photos appeared in the paper.
In <a href="https://dailynorthwestern.com/2019/11/10/lateststories/addressing-the-dailys-coverage-of-sessions-protests/">an editorial</a> published Sunday, the Daily apologized for covering a newsworthy event and for engaging in journalism. From the editorial:
<blockquote>One area of our reporting that harmed many students was our photo coverage of the event. Some protesters found photos posted to reporters’ Twitter accounts retraumatizing and invasive. Those photos have since been taken down. On one hand, as the paper of record for Northwestern, we want to ensure students, administrators and alumni understand the gravity of the events that took place Tuesday night. However, we decided to prioritize the trust and safety of students who were photographed. We feel that covering traumatic events requires a different response than many other stories. While our goal is to document history and spread information, nothing is more important than ensuring that our fellow students feel safe — and in situations like this, that they are benefitting from our coverage rather than being actively harmed by it. We failed to do that last week, and we could not be more sorry.</blockquote>
The former Attorney General speaking is only a “traumatic event” in the minds of the students so brainwashed to believe that speech is violence and Republicans are literally trying to ensure their deaths. No Republican student would claim to feel unsafe or in need of therapy of Eric Holder spoke on campus.
The Daily also apologized for its journalism methods. The paper’s reporters used the Northwestern student directory to reach out to students via phone to see if they would want to be interviewed for an article.
“We recognize being contacted like this is an invasion of privacy, and we’ve spoken with those reporters — along with our entire staff — about the correct way to reach out to students for stories,” the paper’s editorial staff wrote.
The paper also claimed that naming students put them at risk for disciplinary action, even though the protest did not turn violent and no university in today’s outrage culture would dare discipline students for merely protesting.
“Ultimately, The Daily failed to consider our impact in our reporting surrounding Jeff Sessions,” the editorial staff wrote. “We know we hurt students that night, especially those who identify with marginalized groups.”
Going forward, the paper said it would take steps to ensure no student could ever feel hurt due to reporting. The paper’s staff said it would “work to balance the need for information and the potential harm our news coverage may cause.”
Finally, the editorial staff said it hoped it could “rebuild trust that we weakened or lost last week.”

Northwestern University Apologizes For Campus Newspaper Editorial Covering Jeff Sessions Event

On Thursday, Northwestern University notified Young America&#8217;s Foundation that a previously-scheduled event on May 24 with Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro, which was set to be open to the public, had now been closed to the public due to &#8220;safety concerns.&#8221; Instead, the event will only be open to students. According to one of the organizing students, security officials at the school were concerned that outsiders would disrupt the event. The College Republicans agreed to the administration&#8217;s stipulations in the interest of moving ahead with the event.
This announcement comes on the heels of Northwestern University students disrupting a sociology class because a public relations officer from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was visiting. According to The Daily Wire:

She said that she invited the officer to speak to explain to her class how the agency works and that she planned to invite an illegal immigrant to her Thursday class to balance out the conversation.

The president of Northwestern University, Morton Schapiro, has also stated that &#8220;safe spaces&#8221; are useful and should be protected by the administration. This week, <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/why-northwestern-president-morton-schapiro-favors-safe-spaces-1494987120">he explained</a>, &#8220;You want to protect the First Amendment, obviously, but it isn&#8217;t absolute. People reduce it to slogans or free speech at all costs.&#8221;

Northwestern University Closes Shapiro Event To General Public, Citing Safety Concerns

On May 16, a coalition of Northwestern University leftists <a href="https://dailynorthwestern.com/2017/05/17/campus/students-protest-ice-representatives-visit-to-campus/">disrupted</a> a sociology class because it hosted a guest presentation from a public relations officer from the Immigration of Customs Enforcement (ICE). Northwestern University spokesman Al Cubbage told The Daily Northwestern that it was disappointing that student protesters disrupted the ICE officer from speaking, saying &#8220;[t]he University believes very much that if you have concerns about an idea or position, the solution is not to censor or prevent someone from expressing those ideas, it is to provide more discussion and more discourse.&#8221;
One of the protesters, Danielle Douge, defended the leftist coalition&#8217;s disruption, saying that she had a &#8220;right&#8221; to be in the building and a &#8220;right&#8221; to say whatever she wanted. In other words, Douge argued that she had a right to censor whomever she wanted if she felt &#8220;microaggressed&#8221; by a professor&#8217;s attempt to encourage two sides of a contentious issue.
This is leftist fascism coming to roost. The current cycle of leftist disinvitation started with <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/answer-sheet/wp/2014/10/08/scripps-college-uninvites-george-will-because-of-column-on-sexual-assault/?utm_term=.f0e23bd919ee">George Will being barred from speaking</a> at Scripps College; it recently reoccurred at DePaul University where <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/16578/exclusive-depaul-university-approves-speech-gavin-elliott-hamilton">it banned Gavin McInnes</a> from coming to speak after months of allowing months of planning and an allocation of $10,000. The problem will continue to get worse unless college administrators discover their spinal columns and start demanding that their leftist students respect the institutions to which they or their parents pay exorbitant tuition rates.
