Signaling a seismic shift in the post-WWII global order, President Donald Trump said he is &#8220;strongly considering&#8221; withdrawing the United States from NATO, delivering one of his clearest warnings that Washington may no longer be willing to underwrite European security without reciprocal support.
Delivered in a characteristically blunt interview with <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2026/04/01/donald-trump-strongly-considering-pulling-us-out-of-nato/">The Telegraph</a>, Trump argued the alliance has become a &#8220;one-way street,&#8221; with the United States expected to defend Europe while allies decline to support American operations.
The catalyst for this potential divorce is the refusal of European allies to support the U.S.-led effort to reopen the Strait of Hormuz — a vital artery for 20% of the world’s oil — which has been temporarily shuttered by Tehran.
Asked whether he would reconsider U.S. membership after the war with Iran is over, Trump did not hedge.
“Oh yes, I would say beyond reconsideration,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I was never swayed by NATO. I always knew they were a paper tiger, and Putin knows that too, by the way.”
Trump pointed directly to European reluctance to support efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital artery for 20% of the world&#8217;s oil that has been shuttered by Iran, as evidence that the alliance is failing, and noted that while the United States has &#8220;automatically&#8221; stood by Europe, including in non-member states like Ukraine, the favor has not been returned.
&#8220;They weren’t there for us,&#8221; Trump remarked, specifically lambasting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer for a lack of naval support.
Senior administration officials are now echoing the president&#8217;s frustration.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that continued U.S. participation in NATO cannot be taken for granted if allies expect protection while limiting American military flexibility.
&#8220;If NATO is just about us defending Europe if they’re attacked but then denying us basing rights when we need them, that’s not a very good arrangement,&#8221; he said.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth went further, arguing the war has exposed a fundamental imbalance.
&#8220;You don’t have much of an alliance if you have countries that are not willing to stand with you when you need them,&#8221; Hegseth stated.
The statements point to a hardening of the administration&#8217;s NATO stance. Sources suggest the White House is eyeing a model that would block delinquent or uncooperative members from decision-making and is revisiting plans to withdraw troops from Germany.
As the U.S. and Israel continue air strikes against Iran’s nuclear program, the message from Washington is clear: the era of the American &#8220;blank check&#8221; for European security is over. If NATO will not serve as a platform for mutual security, President Trump appears ready to walk away from the table entirely.

Those allies are ready with all their combined strength: Germany, France, UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada, and Japan. They are firing on all cylinders with urgency, resolve, and action.
Yes, that&#8217;s right. Our allies, who have been reliant on our largesse and mutual defense for decades, finally announced that they are going to help us, their patron state, the United States — with a very strongly-worded letter.
Our allies are doing what they do best. They are saying things.
At some point, the questions have to be asked: Who are our true allies? Who is actually stepping up to the plate? Who is merely judging from the sidelines?
In lieu of any real world support, our valiant allies have now issued a strongly worded letter.

Here&#8217;s what the letter says:
<blockquote>We condemn in the strongest terms, recent attacks by Iran on unarmed commercial vessels in the Gulf, attacks on civilian infrastructure, including oil and gas installations, and the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces. We express our deep concern about the escalating conflict.
We call on Iran to cease immediately its threats, laying of mines and drone and missile attacks and other attempts to block the strait to commercial shipping and to comply with U.N. Security Council Resolution 28-17. We call for an immediate comprehensive moratorium on attacks on civilian infrastructure, including oil and gas installations. We call on all states to respect international law and uphold the fundamental principles of international prosperity and security.</blockquote>
Whoa, dude. Harsh stuff.
Iran must be quaking in its boots. Our allies are saying things.
The Europeans, Japan? They&#8217;re expressing “deep concern.” Not “regular” concern. “Deep” concern. They are calling on Iran to do things and to stop being so mean.
But wait, isn&#8217;t there some sort of commitment to action in the letter?
The statement does say this: “We express our readiness to contribute to appropriate efforts to ensure a safe passage through the Strait. We welcome the commitment of nations who are engaging in preparatory planning.”
That sounds good, right? But what does “appropriate efforts” mean? Who decides what is “appropriate?”
According to <a href="https://www.axios.com/2026/03/19/strait-hormuz-coalition-allies-statement-uk">Axios</a>, “On Thursday morning, NATO head Mark Rutte and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron and convinced him to lift his opposition to the political statement of support, while leaving the discussion on the practical steps for later.”
Now, to be fair to Rutte, there&#8217;s not much he can do. He&#8217;s the head of NATO, but he can&#8217;t simply deploy force. He certainly recognizes the Iranian threat, and he would like to avoid alienating the United States.
He said, “We all agree, as we always did, that it was crucial for Iran not to get its hands on a nuclear capability, a ballistic missile capability. And what the U.S. is doing at the moment is degrading that capability of Iran. And I think that&#8217;s very important. This is important for European security, for the Middle East. It is vital for Israel itself.”
 The Japanese are also paying lip service here; the Japanese prime minister told President Trump, “I firmly believe that it is only you, Donald, who can achieve peace across the world,” adding they would “reach out to many of the partners in the international community, to achieve our objective together.”
So what are our allies actually committing to?
Nothing. This sort of stupidity is nothing new for our allies, who are quite fond of empty verbiage as a substitute for credible threat of force.
Go all the way back to 1919, when the covenant of the League of Nations was integrated into the Treaty of Versailles. That attempt to form a family of nations — while it was not a success — led to 1928, when 15 countries came together to sign what was called the Kellogg-Briand Pact.
It outlawed war.
Did you know that? That war was outlawed in 1928? The signatories included France, the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Belgium, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Italy, and Japan. 47 more nations joined in as well.
And then, three years later, in 1931, Japan invaded Manchuria and nobody did anything. And by 1941, every single nation that had signed the treaty, with the exception of Ireland — which basically stayed out of the war and sided with Germany — was enmeshed in World War II.
Empty verbiage.
The same thing holds true today. For decades, our allies have pretended to oppose the Iranian terror regime while doing virtually nothing to hold them accountable. They&#8217;ve imposed some rather minor sanctions targeting specific officials, unless the United States has pushed them into broader sanctions.
We&#8217;ve had to do all the hard work, as per our usual arrangement.
So here&#8217;s the deal. If we&#8217;re going to do all the work and undertake all the sacrifice and spend the blood and treasure, then we ought to reap the benefit. 
There&#8217;s been a lot of talk about what the United States ought to do next with regard to Iran. The most obvious move, and one I&#8217;ve been advocating, is for the United States to seize Kharg Island. President Trump has been suggesting for a while that this may happen.
Nearly 90% of all Iranian oil passes through Kharg Island. The Iranians have already, in large part, shut the Strait of Hormuz. They&#8217;ve already upped the ante in terms of attacks on surrounding gas and oil facilities. So the United States doesn&#8217;t have tremendous downside here.
What&#8217;s Iran going to do, attack more oil facilities? We ought to seize control of the oil, and then we ought to let American companies keep pumping it, and then we ought to send it to its final destination, China. China would then know that we are in charge of the spigot; Iran&#8217;s terrorist government would be deprived of their monetary flow.
What about the Europeans?
If the price of oil rises, they can buy it from us, not the Iranians.
If they&#8217;re not going to join us as allies, they can pay our companies for the oil.

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the United States does not need NATO&#8217;s help in its war with Iran, after most alliance members declined to join the military operation.
“The United States has been informed by most of our NATO ‘Allies’ that they don’t want to get involved with our Military Operation against the Terrorist Regime of Iran, in the Middle East, this, despite the fact that almost every Country strongly agreed with what we are doing, and that Iran cannot, in any way, shape, or form, be allowed to have a Nuclear Weapon,” Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116245182325726375">wrote</a> on Truth Social. 
Trump’s post comes <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-warns-natos-future-could-be-very-bad-if-allies-refuse-to-help-secure-strait-of-hormuz?author=Leif+Le+Mahieu&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=4&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Trump+Warns+NATO%E2%80%99s+Future+Could+Be+%E2%80%98Very+Bad%E2%80%99+If+Allies+Refuse+To+Help+Secure+Strait+Of+Hormuz">after</a> he called for international assistance securing the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route through which roughly one-fifth of the world&#8217;s oil supply passes. He warned on Sunday that NATO would face a “very bad” future if it did not help open the strait. 
“I am not surprised by their action, however, because I always considered NATO, where we spend Hundreds of Billions of Dollars per year protecting these same Countries, to be a one way street — We will protect them, but they will do nothing for us, in particular, in a time of need,” Trump said. 
Despite the lack of support, Trump said that the United States is no longer seeking NATO assistance, saying the United States had already “decimated” Iran’s military, including its navy and air force. 
“Because of the fact that we have had such Military Success, we no longer ‘need,’ or desire, the NATO Countries’ assistance — WE NEVER DID! Likewise, Japan, Australia, or South Korea,” Trump said. “In fact, speaking as President of the United States of America, by far the Most Powerful Country Anywhere in the World, WE DO NOT NEED THE HELP OF ANYONE!”
As Iranian officials have pledged to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed, Trump said Sunday that he was asking other countries, including China, for help “policing” the strait. 
European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas <a href="https://abcnews.com/Business/wireStory/eu-weighs-action-strait-hormuz-open-131109449">said</a> Monday the bloc is “discussing” potential actions, noting it is in Europe’s interest to keep the strait open.
Oil prices have surged since the start of Operation Epic Fury on February 28. Brent crude rose above $100 per barrel on Tuesday, while the <a href="https://gasprices.aaa.com/">national average</a> for gasoline reached $3.79 a gallon, up from $2.91 a month ago. 
Trump has said that destroying Iran’s nuclear program would justify higher energy prices.

President Donald Trump warned Sunday that NATO&#8217;s future could be at risk if the alliance does not help the United States secure the Strait of Hormuz. 
The comment came as Trump said that he had started reaching out to other countries for help keeping the strait safe from Iranian attacks. Iran has vowed to keep the strait, through which roughly 20% of the world’s oil passes, closed while the war continues. 
“It’s only appropriate that people who are the beneficiaries of the strait will help to make sure that nothing bad happens there,” Trump <a href="https://www.ft.com/content/1ca6d121-760b-4ec5-b6ad-514fdaa94873">told</a> the Financial Times. “If there’s no response or if it’s a negative response I think it will be very bad for the future of NATO.”
Trump echoed those sentiments while flying back to Washington, D.C., on Sunday evening. 
“We are talking to other countries about working with us on the policing of the strait and I think we&#8217;re getting a good response. If we do, that&#8217;s great. And if we don&#8217;t, that&#8217;s great, too,” Trump <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLKD2ulnBF4">told</a> reporters. 
He added that he would like to see NATO step in because of the funding the United States has provided for Ukraine. 
“We&#8217;re always there for NATO. We&#8217;re helping them win Ukraine,” Trump said. “Doesn’t affect us, but we&#8217;ve helped them. It’ll be interesting to see what country wouldn&#8217;t help us with a very small endeavor, which is just keeping the strait open.”
Trump said asking NATO to step in was “small” by comparison because Iran &#8220;has very little firepower left.”
“Really I&#8217;m demanding that these countries come in and protect their own territory because it is their territory. It&#8217;s the place from which they get their energy and they should come and they should help us protect it,” Trump said. 
European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas <a href="https://abcnews.com/Business/wireStory/eu-weighs-action-strait-hormuz-open-131109449">said</a> Monday the bloc was “discussing” what it could do regarding the strait because it was in Europe&#8217;s interest to keep it open. 
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Monday that he was looking to assist “a viable collective plan” to reopen the strait. He said that the United Kingdom would “not be drawn into the wider war.”
Iran again vowed Monday to keep the strait closed. 
“The Strait of Hormuz will not be open to any country intending to harm Iran,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said. “The armed forces are controlling the transit, and no country will be able to use the Strait of Hormuz to strike against Iran.”
Trump also said he would like to see China get involved and take a role in securing the strait. He noted that China gets roughly 90% of its oil through the strait. Trump is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping later this month. 
Global benchmark Brent crude oil rose above $100 per barrel on Monday morning, climbing as high as $106.27. Gas prices across the United States have also risen, with the <a href="https://gasprices.aaa.com">national average</a> increasing to $3.71 per gallon from $2.92 a month ago.

Iran’s widening war nearly reached NATO’s doorstep after a ballistic missile fired toward Turkey was intercepted before entering Turkish airspace.
During a Pentagon briefing early Wednesday morning, Mary Margaret Olohan, White House correspondent for The Daily Wire, asked War Secretary Pete Hegseth whether the incident could trigger NATO’s collective defense clause known as Article 5.
Hegseth acknowledged the engagement but suggested the alliance does not currently see the incident as meeting the threshold for invoking NATO’s mutual defense provision.
“I&#8217;ll have to get back to you on exactly what the intercept looked like,” Hegseth said. “We&#8217;re aware about that particular engagement. Although, no sense that it would trigger anything like Article 5.”
Article 5 of the NATO treaty states that an attack on one member is considered an attack on all members of the alliance, potentially triggering a collective military response.
According to regional reports, the Iranian missile traveled across Iraqi and Syrian territory before being intercepted over the Eastern Mediterranean by NATO air defense systems. Debris from the intercept reportedly fell into Turkey’s Hatay province near the Syrian border.
Turkey is a NATO member, making the strike particularly sensitive as the United States and Israel continue their joint military campaign against Iran known as Operation Epic Fury.
Turkey’s Defense Ministry said it reserves the right to respond to what it described as a hostile act.
Despite the rising tensions, Turkey has maintained a complicated relationship with Iran for years.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has cultivated close diplomatic ties with Tehran while also positioning himself as a defender of Turkish sovereignty in the region. Analysts have long noted that Ankara views the stability of Iran as strategically important, particularly to avoid a refugee crisis along their shared border and to prevent Kurdish militant groups from exploiting instability in the region.
Turkey also relies on Iran for roughly 10% of its natural gas imports and maintains key trade routes with the country.
At the same time, Erdoğan has been sharply critical of Israel during the broader conflict.
He has repeatedly condemned United States and Israeli strikes on Iran as a violation of international law and described the widening regional conflict as a “ring of fire.”
Erdoğan has also been one of Israel’s most vocal critics internationally, frequently accusing the Israeli government of war crimes and refusing to designate Hamas as a terrorist organization, instead describing the group as “liberation fighters.”

Mark Rutte, Secretary General of NATO, confirmed the position of Trump negotiator Steven Witkoff that Iran was on the brink of developing a nuclear weapon.
Commenting on the current U.S-led war on the Iranian regime, Rutte acknowledged, “NATO is not itself involved, but let’s be absolutely clear-eyed to what’s happening here: Iran is close to getting its hands on a nuclear capability and a ballistic missile capability, which is both a threat to not only the region, the Middle East, including posing an existential threat to Israel, but it is also posing a new threat to us here in Europe.”

I love this moment. Trump does sound a little tired. You can hear it. And honestly, that makes sense. The guy basically pulled an all-nighter, flew straight over to Davos, Switzerland, bouncing from country to country in a nonstop whirlwind. And even then, he still seemed more energetic than most of the other zombies wandering around Davos.
I love the slight lethargy in his voice because it makes him sound like Don Corleone:
You should be grateful. We never ask anything of you. You come here on the day my daughter is to be married, and you don’t even have the courtesy to call me godfather. You’ll remember I’ve been very good to you. I cannot grant your request. You tell me not to take Greenland? That I cannot do.
I love this not just because I’m a descendant of the Mezzogiorno in America, but because it’s reality. This is how the world actually works. Not the fake world of the World Economic Forum, not the fantasy land of the United Nations, not the imaginary liberal international system built on polite lies and hollow pretenses.
One of the biggest lies is that every country is basically equal. That we’re all the same.
That has never been true. The world has never operated that way. It’s a fiction. A noble lie, but still a lie.

Trump is reminding people of the truth. And while people like me might describe him as talking like a mafioso, like Don Corleone, even that’s not quite right. He’s speaking like an emperor. More precisely, he’s speaking like the leader of a great power, which we are.
And that’s a good thing because it is reality.
Politics works better when you acknowledge reality, even when that reality is uncomfortable. Even when it offends your ideology, whether you’re on the Left or the Right. Especially when it offends your ideology.
There are disparities in power between nations. Great nations pursue their interests. The Left hates admitting that. But it’s true.
There’s also another reality people don’t like admitting: you can’t have unlimited inequality in a democratic nation and expect stability. The palace is never safe when the cottage is unhappy. That reality offends libertarians and free-market ideologues on the Right, but it’s still reality.
And if you don’t deal with reality, you don’t flourish. You get revolutions. You get revolts. You get collapse.
And reality doesn’t care whether you like it or not.

Shortly after a private meeting with President Donald Trump in Davos on Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky walked out onto the World Economic Forum stage and blasted European leaders for trying to &#8220;change&#8221; Trump instead of focusing on defending themselves from global threats such as Russia and China.
Zelensky <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_SohZrJOKk">said</a> that Europe seems to be stuck in &#8220;Groundhog Day,&#8221; referring to the 1993 film featuring Bill Murray. He argued that European powers have been repeating the same actions &#8220;for weeks, months, and of course, for years,&#8221; adding, &#8220;Every forum like this one proves it.&#8221;
&#8220;Just last year, here in Davos, I ended my speech with the words, &#8216;Europe needs to know how to defend itself.&#8217; A year has passed, and nothing has changed,&#8221; Zelensky said.
“Instead of taking the lead in defending freedom worldwide, especially when America’s focus shifts elsewhere, Europe looks lost trying to convince the U.S. president to change,” the Ukrainian president continued, adding, &#8220;Europe still feels more like geography, history, a tradition, not a real political force, not a great power.&#8221;
Zelensky highlighted Trump&#8217;s capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro and America&#8217;s seizure of sanctioned oil tankers linked to Venezuela and asked why European powers could not do the same with Russian oil tankers.
&#8220;Why can President Trump stop tankers from the shadow fleet and seize oil, but Europe doesn&#8217;t?&#8221; Zelensky asked. &#8220;Russian oil is being transported right along European shores. That oil funds the war against Ukraine. That oil helps destabilize Europe.&#8221;
Zelensky also mentioned Trump&#8217;s push for Greenland and criticized Europe&#8217;s response to the issue. Trump&#8217;s ramped-up effort to acquire Greenland has been a major focus of this year&#8217;s World Economic Forum as European leaders scramble to respond to the president&#8217;s plan. Many NATO countries deployed a small contingent of troops to Greenland to conduct military exercises as Trump discussed annexing the territory.
Zelensky slammed European leaders over the move.
“If you send 30 or 40 soldiers to Greenland, what is that for?&#8221; he asked. &#8220;What message does it send? What’s the message to Putin? To China? And even more importantly, what message does it send to Denmark? You either declare that European bases will protect the region from Russia and China &#8230; or you risk not being taken seriously, because 30 or 40 soldiers will not protect anything.”
The Ukrainian president then called on European countries to build up their fighting forces, and suggested that NATO is too reliant on the United States.
&#8220;Europe needs united armed forces that can truly defend Europe,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Today, Europe relies only on the belief that if danger comes, NATO will act, but no one has really seen the alliance in action.&#8221;
&#8220;Right now, NATO exists thanks to the belief that the United States will act, that it will not stand aside and will help,&#8221; Zelensky continued. &#8220;But what if it doesn&#8217;t?&#8221;

Trump <a href="https://x.com/FoxBusiness/status/2014317783996072169">told</a> Fox Business that under the proposal, the United States is &#8220;getting everything we want at no cost.&#8221; The president said that Greenland is vital for U.S. national security and will be used for &#8220;a piece&#8221; of his &#8220;Golden Dome&#8221; missile defense system.
&#8220;Everything comes over Greenland. If the bad guys start shooting, it comes over Greenland,&#8221; he said, adding, &#8220;It&#8217;s pretty invaluable.&#8221;
&#8220;So what are we talking about, an acquisition of Greenland? Are you going to pay for it?&#8221; asked Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo.
&#8220;It&#8217;s really being negotiated now, the details of it,&#8221; Trump replied. &#8220;But, essentially, it&#8217;s total access. There&#8217;s no end. There&#8217;s no time limit.&#8221;
Trump spoke to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Davos on Wednesday and announced shortly after the meeting that they worked out a &#8220;framework&#8221; for a deal on Greenland. Rutte confirmed that the United States and NATO have made significant progress toward securing an agreement covering the large territory that Denmark oversees. It remains unclear if Greenland and Denmark support the deal currently under negotiation. Danish leaders have strongly opposed Trump&#8217;s push to acquire the territory, while Greenlandic leaders have said they don&#8217;t want to become part of the United States.
Trump has been pushing for the United States to acquire Greenland since returning to the White House last January, and he has increased pressure on Greenland, Denmark, and other European nations over the issue in recent weeks. The president believes that Greenland is essential for U.S. national security, arguing that China and Russia will take over the territory if the United States doesn&#8217;t.
Trump told Bartiromo on Thursday that it&#8217;s still possible that the United States will end up controlling Greenland. During his speech at the World Economic Forum on Wednesday, Trump said he would not use military force to annex the territory.
While Trump says national security is the main reason for his desire to acquire Greenland, rare-earth minerals also play a role in his push. Rare-earth minerals were also part of the framework agreement with NATO, the president said. Trump&#8217;s U.S. ambassador to the U.N., Mike Waltz, who began in the administration as the president&#8217;s national security adviser, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/greenland-important-us-says-trumps-pick-national-security-adviser-2025-01-09/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> last January that the United States needed Greenland for its &#8220;critical minerals&#8221; as well as national security.
Greenland holds large deposits of rare earth minerals that could play a key role in America&#8217;s push to ramp up rare earth mining and end its dependence on China. But Greenland&#8217;s underdeveloped tundra would be challenging to mine for minerals, The Hill <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/5697708-greenland-trump-minerals-rare-earths-denmark-nato/">reported</a>.
“Everyone talks about the minerals. There’s so many,” Trump said on Wednesday. “There’s no such thing as rare earth. There’s rare processing. But there’s so much rare earth. And to get to this rare earth, you got to go through hundreds of feet of ice. That’s not the reason we need it. We need it for strategic national security and international security.”

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Thursday that European nations will have to increase their military presence in the Arctic region as part of a Greenland deal being negotiated by President Donald Trump.
Rutte told Reuters at the World Economic Forum that, following his Wednesday meeting with Trump, NATO must work through a plan to increase security around Greenland.
&#8220;I have no doubt we can do this quite fast. Certainly I would hope for 2026, I hope even early in 2026,&#8221; Rutte said.

It&#8217;s the ultimate long-term deal,&#8221; Trump <a href="https://x.com/kaitlancollins/status/2014072620799422963">told</a> reporters. &#8220;And I think it puts everybody in a really good position, especially as it pertains to security and minerals and everything else.&#8221; He added that there would be &#8220;no time limit&#8221; on the deal, saying, &#8220;It&#8217;s forever.&#8221;
Greenland&#8217;s rare earth minerals were also part of the framework agreement, the president said. Trump said on Wednesday, however, that rare earth minerals aren&#8217;t the main reason he wants the territory.

Asked if NATO allies could trust Trump, Rutte replied, &#8220;You can always take Donald Trump at his word.&#8221;
The framework deal agreed upon by Trump and Rutte is not a finalized agreement and will only kickstart serious negotiations on Greenland, according to Trump. The president did not say whether Greenland or Denmark, which oversees the semi-autonomous territory, agreed to the framework deal.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said the talks moved forward on Wednesday.
&#8220;It is still a difficult and serious situation, but progress has also been made in the sense that we have now got things where they need to be. Namely that we can discuss how we promote common security in the Arctic region,&#8221; Frederiksen said.
Trump suggested that his plan for the &#8220;Golden Dome&#8221; missile defense system was also a significant point of the discussions with NATO on Greenland.
&#8220;Further information will be made available as discussions progress,” Trump added. “Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and various others, as needed, will be responsible for the negotiations — They will report directly to me.&#8221;
