<p>NASCAR driver Ryan Preece was discharged from a Florida hospital early Sunday morning, nearly 12 hours after his Ford Mustang violently barrel-rolled about a dozen times during the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.</p>
<p>Stewart-Haas Racing <a href="https://twitter.com/StewartHaasRcng" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on X that Preece was returning to North Carolina after overnight observation at the Halifax Health Medical Center, where he had been “awake, alert and mobile” and “communicating with family and friends,” according to a previous update.</p>
<p>The 32-year-old professional racecar driver was on Lap 156 of the 160-lap race of Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series when Preece’s No. 41 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford lifted off the ground, tumbled in the air, and rolled on the grass near the racetracks back straightaway before coming to a complete stop on all four tires.</p>

<p>“This is just violent,” NASCAR on NBC analyst Jeff Burton said. “Look at this car. That is just amazing that something that weighs over 3,500 pounds can get in the air like that.”</p>
<p>NASCAR <a href="https://www.nascar.com/news-media/2023/08/26/ryan-preece-wild-flip-daytona-coke-zero-sugar-400" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> Preece’s rear bumper made contact with another car when it veered left across the nose of Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Chase Briscoe’s car just before it launched into mid-air and spun out of control.</p>

<p>When Preece’s vehicle finally stabilized on the ground, he climbed out with the help of AMR Safety Team emergency workers, who transported him on a gurney and into an ambulance to the infield care center, then to Halifax Health Center.</p>
<p>“If you want to be a race car driver, you better be tough. &#8230; I’m coming back,” Preece said in an <a href="https://twitter.com/RyanPreece_/status/1695645425347264887?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">X-post</a> about two hours after the race.</p>

<p>Briscoe reportedly said he had seen his teammate after the race but was thinking about Preece and his family.</p>
<p>“Obviously, Ryan got turned or something and came across my nose, and then we all started wrecking,’ Briscoe <a href="https://www.racingamerica.com/news/nascar/ryan-preece-transported-to-local-hospital-following-vicious-flip">told</a> Racing America. “Just thinking about him and his family, you know that’s a teammate there. Just super unfortunate to see that happen to anybody, let alone a teammate. Hopefully, he’s OK. Just thinking about him and praying for him.”</p>
<p>Briscoe experienced a similar crash during the Coke Zero Sugar 400 in 2022 when his vehicle launched into the air after getting spun off Turn 4.</p>

<p>“We can’t wreck cars like that every time we come to a superspeedway,” he said. “These cars, with how the bottom is, as soon as they get any air, it just flips them right over. Whenever you’re running 190 mph, and you go airborne, it’s not good. Especially when there’s grass and stuff involved. We definitely need to do something. I don’t know what it is that we can do, but we need to do something.”</p>
<p>Saturday night’s race was Preece’s final chance to qualify for the 2023 playoffs, according to <a href="https://www.motorsport.com/nascar-cup/news/violent-airborne-wreck-ryan-preece-hospital-daytona/10512111/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Motorsport.com</a>.</p>
<p>After emergency crews transported Preece off the track, the race went into overtime, where Chris Buescher scored the victory.</p>
<p>“Ryan is a good friend of mine,” Buescher told NBC. “While we were in Victory Lane, we got word that he’s at the hospital, that they’re running through a lot of stuff and that he’s doing well. That’s good to hear.”</p>

<p>Both NASCAR and Legacy Motor Club released statements confirming the decision.</p>
<p>&#8220;NASCAR fully supports Legacy Motor Club’s decision to suspend Noah Gragson,&#8221; NASCAR said in a statement. &#8220;Following his actions on social media, NASCAR has determined that Gragson has violated the Member Conduct section of the 2023 NASCAR Rule Book and has placed him under indefinite suspension.&#8221;</p>
<p>Legacy Motor Club said in a statement: &#8220;We have made the decision to suspend Noah Gragson effective immediately regarding his actions that do not represent the values of our team.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Josh Berry will drive the No. 42 entry for this weekend&#8217;s NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan,&#8221; the team added.</p>
<p>Gragson apologized for liking the meme, writing: &#8220;I am disappointed in myself for my lack of attention and actions on social media.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I understand the severity of this situation,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I love and appreciate everyone. I try to treat everyone equally no matter who they are. I messed up plain and simple.&#8221;</p>

<p>Jimmie Johnson has spoken out for the first time following what authorities described as a &#8220;murder-suicide&#8221; involving his in-laws and nephew.</p>
<p>A month after the tragedy, Johnson released <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CvQSgjJp5Nt/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a statement</a> on his Instagram account expressing gratitude for those who have reached out.</p>
<p>“Our family is devastated by the profound loss of [Terry] Lynn, Jack and Dalton Janway,” Johnson wrote. “We have been humbled by the outpouring of love and support during this unthinkably sad time and remain grateful for all of your compassion.”</p>

<p>The parents of Johnson’s wife, Chandra Janway, along with the seven-time champion’s 11-year-old nephew, were found shot to death in their Muskogee, Oklahoma, home on June 26, the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/06/27/jimmie-johnsons-in-laws-dead-in-apparent-murder-suicide/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Jack Janway, 69, his wife Terry, 68, and their grandson Dalton were found.</p>
<p>Reports indicate that it was Johnson’s mother-in-law, Terry, who shot and killed her husband and grandson before calling 911 to report that someone had a gun, then quickly ended the call. She then turned the gun on herself and took her own life, police said, according to the New York Post.</p>
<p>Police arrived at the home to find a body lying in the hallway just inside the front door. They then heard gunshots and pulled the body out of the home before asking anyone else inside to come out, the Post reported. They found the other two bodies in a different part of the house.</p>
<p>Police have not said which bodies were found where.</p>

<p>Muskogee Mayor Marlon Coleman <a href="https://www.fox23.com/news/local/3-people-dead-after-shooting-in-muskogee/article_96008038-14d4-11ee-a67a-efcfc90e85e4.html?taid=649ac4c9f8ccd40001c24137&amp;utm_campaign=trueanthem&amp;utm_medium=trueanthem&amp;utm_source=twitter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Fox 23 that he knew the family since Jack was a prominent chiropractor in the town.</p>
<p>“It was traumatizing to find out that a long-standing family who had made so many contributions to our community was involved in this type of incident. It was even more bone-chilling to find out there was a child involved,” Coleman told the outlet. “I knew Dr. Janway. Dr. Janway has worked on me, we’ve been acquaintances for a very, very long time since I’ve been in Muskogee. Just knowing that it was him and his family took a different toll on me.”</p>
<p>It was not the first tragedy suffered by the Janway family.</p>
<p>In 2014, Jordan Janway, Chandra’s younger brother, was killed in a skydiving accident, KNSD-TV <a href="https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/jordan-janway-san-diego-skydiving-accident-fatal-fall-midair-collision/1973471/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> at the time. Jordan was described by the outlet as a seasoned skydiver who died following a midair collision. Jordan’s death came just hours after Johnson finished second in a race at Martinsville Speedway.</p>

<p>NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson’s in-laws were found dead on Monday in a suspected murder-suicide.</p>

<p>This is not the first tragedy suffered by the Janway family.</p>
<p>In 2014, Jordan Janway, Chandra’s younger brother, was killed in a skydiving accident, KNSD-TV <a href="https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/jordan-janway-san-diego-skydiving-accident-fatal-fall-midair-collision/1973471/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> at the time. Jordan was described by the outlet as a seasoned skydiver who died following a midair collision. Jordan’s death came just hours after Johnson finished second in a race at Martinsville Speedway.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Johnsons are saddened by the tragic passing of Chandra&#8217;s brother, Jordan Janway, 27,&#8221; the family said in a post on Johnson’s personal website. &#8220;Jordan was an incredible son, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed. Please keep the Janway family in your thoughts and prayers. The family asks for privacy at this time.&#8221;</p>
<p>The cause of Jordan’s death was attributed to a chip that should have automatically deployed his parachute during an emergency undergoing maintenance and not in his parachute that day. Since Jordan had completed more than 1,000 skydives, he was not required to have the chip with him and had chosen to jump without it.</p>

<p>LSU star gymnast Olivia Dunne made waves over the weekend by posting a patriotic video while attending a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nascar" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NASCAR</a> race in which she declared that her pronouns were &#8220;USA.&#8221;</p>
<p>The 20-year-old All-American athlete has more than 7.6 million followers on TikTok and more than 4.2 million followers on Instagram. Due to her enormous popularity, she makes millions of dollars per year in endorsement deals — more than any other female college athlete — while continuing to compete at LSU.</p>
<p>The video that she posted on Sunday already has more than four million views on TikTok alone and has nearly half a million likes.</p>
<p>In the video, Dunne, standing next to two young uniformed U.S. Army soldiers at the race, states: &#8220;My pronouns are U-S-A!&#8221;</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Disney, NASCAR, and Kohl’s are among the companies under scrutiny for their financial support of the Trevor Project, a pro-LGBT organization that critics say enables sexual predators. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The “</span><a href="https://consumersresearch.org/woke-alert/woke-alert-disney-bank-of-america-nascar-chipotle-kohls-gm/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">woke alert</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">” flagging the corporations’ support of the Trevor Project was issued by </span><a href="https://consumersresearch.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Consumers’ Research</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, a nonprofit organization that </span><a href="https://consumersresearch.org/history/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">seeks to</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> “educate and protect consumers.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“These six corporations are among those </span><a href="https://www.thetrevorproject.org/corporate-partners/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">funneling millions of dollars</span></a> <span style="font-weight: 400;">to the </span><a href="https://nypost.com/2022/09/01/mom-discovers-depravity-in-trevor-projects-trans-chat-room/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Trevor Project,</span></a> <span style="font-weight: 400;">an organization that hosts a</span> <a href="https://www.thetrevorproject.org/visit-trevorspace/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">private chat room</span></a> <span style="font-weight: 400;">in which adults prey on vulnerable children,” the alert from Consumers’ Research says. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bank of America, Chipotle, and General Motors were also identified in the alert, which was intended to “highlight another disturbing example of Woke Capitalism.”</span></p>
<p>The &#8220;woke alert&#8221; notes that Kohl&#8217;s supports the group with its <a href="https://www.kohls.com/catalog.jsp?CN=Assortment:Pride&amp;cc=di-TN2.0-S-pride" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&#8220;Trevor Project specific pride collection.&#8221;</a> Kohl&#8217;s also made a <a href="https://www.kohls.com/catalog.jsp?CN=Assortment:Pride&amp;cc=di-TN2.0-S-pride" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$100,000 donation</a> to the organization. Chipotle also supported the organization with a &#8220;<a href="https://chipotlegoods.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pride line of merchandise</a>.&#8221; The company pledged a minimum of $15,000 to the Trevor Project.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The alert, which provides consumers with ways to reach out to the companies, specifically focused on the organization’s “TrevorSpace,” an online, anonymous chat platform for children as young as 13. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The website does not utilize age verification and </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">“provides a way for groomers and predators to communicate directly with children without their parents’ knowledge or consent,” Consumers’ Research claims.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Screenshots </span><a href="https://nypost.com/2022/09/01/mom-discovers-depravity-in-trevor-projects-trans-chat-room/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">reported</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> by the New York Post and included in the alert show discussions of pornography, masturbation, and fetishes on the site. The Post </span><a href="https://nypost.com/2022/09/01/mom-discovers-depravity-in-trevor-projects-trans-chat-room/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">described</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> the website as a “‘Pandora’s box’ of </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">sexually perverse content, aggressive gender-reassignment referrals, adults encouraging minors to hide their transitions from their parents and many troubled kids in need of psychological counseling.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Trevor Project was </span><a href="https://decider.com/2022/06/24/trevor-1994-short-film-watch-online/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">named after</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a </span><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1geRc8LaZfs" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">short film</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> produced by the organization’s founders called “Trevor,” which centers around a gay teen who attempts suicide. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The organization states that its mission is “</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">to end suicide among LGBTQ young people.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">However, January Littlejohn, a parent advocate with </span><a href="https://donoharmmedicine.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Do No Harm</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, argues, &#8220;The Trevor Project has strayed far from their noble beginning as an organization dedicated to preventing suicide amongst vulnerable youth” and is “no longer a safe place for children or teens.&#8221; </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Companies donating to this organization need to understand what they are actually supporting, which is the teaching of radical gender ideology, the false notion that a child can be born into the wrong body, onto impressionable children,” Littlejohn added. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The Trevor Project fosters a predatory and unsafe environment for minors. The fact that they have features in place that encourage children to hide their search and chatroom activity from their parents is deeply alarming,” Consumers’ Research Executive Director Will Hild alleged. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He added, “Companies like Disney, General Motors, and Bank of America should not be funding online chatrooms where predatory adults have unfettered access to groom vulnerable children.”</span></p>
<p>None of the six corporations, nor the Trevor Project, responded to a request for comment.</p>

<p>Wallace has been disliked by many NASCAR fans for a long time for a variety of reasons, including <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/their-job-is-to-always-deliver-hate-bubba-wallace-slams-fans-as-he-brushes-aside-assertions-noose-incident-was-a-hoax" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suggesting</a> that they are &#8220;simple-minded&#8221; people whose &#8220;job is to always deliver hate.&#8221;</p>
<p>During a race last October, Wallace slammed into Larson on the track, causing him to crash, and then physically attacked him.</p>
<p>The incident happened during Stage 2 of the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway when Wallace, who won Stage 1, was next to Larson when Larson attempted a three-wide pass.</p>
<p>Larson moved up the track and his car gave a slight tap to Wallace’s car, causing Wallace’s car to brush up against the wall. After brushing up against the wall, Wallace bounced into Larson’s car and then continued by following Larson’s car down the track and slamming into the rear of his car, causing both cars to spin out.</p>

<p>After the crash, Wallace got out of his vehicle and attacked Larson.</p>

Bubba Wallace Gives Middle Finger During Interview, Taunts NASCAR Fans

<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nascar" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NASCAR</a> driver Kyle Busch was recently arrested on weapons charges in Mexico and has since been convicted and sentenced to 3.5 years in prison and a fine.</p>
<p>Busch made the revelation in a statement posted to social media on Monday, saying that the incident happened back in late January when he was traveling out of the country after being on vacation and forgot that his gun was in his bag.</p>
<p>&#8220;In late January, Samantha and I enjoyed a several day vacation in Mexico. When departing the country, my handgun was flagged during routine screening at the airport,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I have a valid concealed carry permit from my local authority and adhere to all handgun laws, but I made a mistake by forgetting it was in my bag.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Discovery of the handgun led to my detainment while the situation was resolved,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I was not aware of Mexican law and had no intention of bringing a handgun into Mexico. When it was discovered, I fully cooperated with the authorities, accepted the penalties, and returned to North Carolina. I apologize for my mistake and appreciate the respect shown by all parties as we resolved the matter. My family and I consider this issue closed.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Mexico Prosecutor General’s Office issued a <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20230207001325/http://www.fgr.org.mx/en/FGR/Estatal/_rid/61/_mod/story?p=1&amp;ord=desc&amp;f=0&amp;categoria=Estatal&amp;suri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.FGR.swb%23fgr_Boletin%3A7077" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> last week on the issue, saying that it had charged and convicted “Kyle Thomas B” in connection with the incident. Busch’s middle name is Thomas.</p>
<p>However, shortly after Busch released his statement, the Mexico Prosecutor General’s Office <a href="http://www.fgr.org.mx/en/FGR/Estatal/_rid/61/_mod/story?p=1&amp;ord=desc&amp;f=0&amp;categoria=Estatal&amp;suri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.FGR.swb%23fgr_Boletin%3A7077" target="_blank" rel="noopener">changed</a> the name of the individual charged and convicted to &#8220;Kyle &#8216;N.’”</p>
<p>&#8220;The Public Ministry of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) in Quintana Roo, obtained a conviction of three years six months in prison and a fine of 200 units of measurement and update equivalent to the amount of 20 thousand 748 pesos, against a person of foreign nationality,&#8221; the statement said. &#8220;The sentenced today, Kyle &#8216;N&#8217;, was credited with his full responsibility in the commission of the crime of carrying a firearm without a license and possession of cartridges for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;According to the investigation folder, the arrest took place on January 27 of this year, when the man sentenced today was detained by elements of the Quintana Roo National Guard, derived from the direct signaling of private security personnel from the Airport. Cancun International, who are assigned to guard the platform of the FBO terminal for private flights,&#8221; the statement continued. &#8220;The detainee, who is originally from the State of Nevada, intended to travel to the United States of America, but when passing his luggage through the RX of the platform, a caliber pistol-type firearm was detected inside. 380 with magazine stocked with six useful hollow point cartridges.&#8221;</p>

<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nascar" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NASCAR</a> COO Steve O&#8217;Donnell slammed driver <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bubba-wallace" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bubba Wallace</a> during an interview Tuesday about the crash that Wallace caused Sunday and his subsequent attack on a driver.</p>
<p>The incident happened during Stage 2 of the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway when Wallace, who won Stage 1, was next to driver Kyle Larson when Larson attempted a three-wide pass.</p>
<p>Larson moved up the track and his car gave a slight tap to Wallace’s car, causing Wallace’s car to brush up against the wall. After brushing up against the wall, Wallace bounced into Larson’s car and then continued by tracking Larson’s car down the track and slamming into the rear of his car, causing both cars to spin out.</p>
<p>&#8220;Our actions are really specific to what took place on the racetrack,&#8221; O&#8217;Donnell told SiriusXM Speedway host Dave Moody. &#8220;And when we look at how that incident occurred in our minds [it was] really a dangerous act, we thought that was intentional, and put other competitors at risk. And as we look at the sport and where we are today, and where we want to draw that line going forward, we thought that definitely crossed the line. And that&#8217;s what we focused on in terms of making this call.&#8221;</p>
<p>When asked about how NASCAR determined that Wallace&#8217;s actions were intentional, O&#8217;Donnell said that they had a lot of data that they looked at. NBC&#8217;s on-screen telemetry of Wallace’s car “seemed to disprove Wallace’s defense” because measurements showed that Wallace was “all the way down on the gas just before hitting Larson” which the report said would “not have been expected if he did not have control of the steering,” Insider <a href="https://www.insider.com/bubba-wallace-kyle-larson-fight-jeff-burton-2022-10" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> this week.</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve got a lot of data available to us,&#8221; O&#8217;Donnell said. &#8220;And we looked at that data and kind of reviewed the incident from a bunch of different angles.&#8221;</p>
<p>O&#8217;Donnell said that Wallace&#8217;s actions were something that NASCAR does not want to see going forward and that fans should not try to compare NASCAR&#8217;s one-race suspension of Wallace to other past actions that NASCAR has taken.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nascar" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NASCAR</a> announced Tuesday afternoon that they have suspended driver <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bubba-wallace" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bubba Wallace</a> for one race after he violently attacked another driver during a race over the weekend following an accident on the track.</p>
<p>NASCAR suspended Wallace from the next NASCAR Cup Series Championship event after he attacked driver Kyle Larson during the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.</p>
<p>&#8220;Wallace was suspended for one race after he crashed Kyle Larson at Lap 94 of the South Point 400 and proceeded to shove Larson, both violations of Sections 4.3.A and 4.4.C &amp; E of the NASCAR Member Code of Conduct laid out in the NASCAR Rule Book,&#8221; NASCAR said in a statement. &#8220;Rule 4.4.C lists &#8216;intentionally wrecking or spinning another vehicle, whether or not that vehicle is removed from Competition as a result&#8217; as one of five member actions that could result in a penalty.’”</p>

<p>NASCAR&#8217;s statement on the matter noted that Wallace issued an apology Monday night for the incident but failed to include Wallace&#8217;s full statement in which it was clear that Wallace was not apologizing to Larson for what happened.</p>

<p>Wallace initially did not take any responsibility for his actions during a post-crash NBC interview and claimed that he did not intentionally slam into Larson’s car, only saying that his “steering was gone” and that Larson “just so happened to be there.”</p>
<p>“It was just a piss poor move on his execution,” Wallace claimed.</p>
<p>When asked about getting out of his vehicle and attacking Larson, Wallace responded that Larson knew what the message was that Wallace was trying to send.</p>
