The highly anticipated July fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has been posted to a later date after Tyson <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mike-tyson-suffers-medical-scare-on-flight-ahead-of-jake-paul-fight-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suffered a medical scare</a> on a flight last weekend from Miami to Los Angeles that required a response from health officials.
&#8220;During a follow up consultation on Thursday with medical professionals on his recent ulcer flare up, the recommendation is for Mike Tyson to do minimal to light training over the next few weeks and then return to full training with no limitations,&#8221; Most Valuable Promotions said in a statement.
&#8220;Both Mike and Jake are in agreement that it is only fair to ensure that both athletes have equal training time to prepare for this important match and are able to compete at the highest level,&#8221; the statement continued.
The company said that it expects Tyson to return to his regular training regimen in the coming weeks as it looks to reschedule the fight at AT&amp;T Stadium in Dallas.
“I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time. Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flare-up, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover,” Tyson said. “My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon. Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good. I appreciate everyone’s patience and can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable performance later this year.”
Paul said that he &#8220;fully support[s] postponing the event so Mike Tyson has no excuses come fight night.&#8221;

Tyson suffered the health episode on an American Airlines flight that was delayed for hours due to overheating issues.
“Mike had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded,” an eyewitness told In Touch Weekly. “Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor — the message even came on everyone’s screens.&#8221;
The eyewitness said that there was “a lot of buzz” when Tyson arrived at the gate as many people recognized him and he took pictures with people.
“He was very accommodating and then he was escorted away from the gate because the flight was delayed because the gate person said that the plane was too hot because it had been sitting all day and had to cool down,” the eyewitness said.
The report said that about 30 minutes before the flight landed, a message was broadcast to passengers asking if there were any medical professionals on board because a passenger was having an emergency.
Once the flight landed, passengers were delayed in getting off the plane for about half an hour so paramedics could board the plane and assist Tyson.
“He was in first class, but we were an exit row,” the eyewitness continues. “They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter. [The stewardess] said something like, ‘He’s a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he’s OK.’ I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded her head yes.”
A spokesperson for Tyson said in a statement that the 57-year-old was “doing great” and that he “became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”

During a recent episode of the PBD Podcast, Tyson, 56, who has been friends with Foxx, 55, for decades, claimed that the “mystery” health emergency was a stroke.
&#8220;He’s not feeling well,&#8221; Tyson <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNeyzh4njt0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;They said a stroke. I have no idea what happened to him.&#8221;
The New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/05/23/mike-tyson-reveals-jamie-foxxs-mystery-health-condition/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the facility that Foxx has been receiving treatment at specializes in treating adults with “severe complex conditions,” including stroke recovery.
Foxx was hospitalized on April 12 for what was described at the time as being an undisclosed “medical complication,” according to an Instagram post shared by his actress daughter, Corinne.
Foxx suffered the emergency while in Atlanta shooting his newest film “Back In Action” with costars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close. Some family members flew in from out of town to be with him shortly after the emergency happened.
“From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,&#8221; Corinne Foxx wrote. &#8220;Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”
No symptoms or possible diagnoses were mentioned in either Corinne’s post or any subsequent reporting — and no indication was given as to how long the “Any Given Sunday” actor might need to remain under a doctor’s care.

Boxing legend <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/mike-tyson">Mike Tyson</a> is lashing out against the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/hulu">Hulu</a> biopic “Mike” once again, saying the streaming giant stole the story of his life without permission.
“Don’t let Hulu fool you. I don’t support their story about my life,” the 56-year-old former world heavyweight champion posted to his <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg7JRAeLY9B/">Instagram</a> account. “It’s not 1822. It’s 2022. They stole my life story and didn’t pay me. To Hulu executives I’m just a n****r they can sell on the auction block.”
In the caption, Tyson wrote, “Hulu is the streaming version of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/racism">slave master</a>. They stole my story and didn’t pay me.”
The day before, Tyson praised UFC president Dana White for refusing to promote the documentary. 
“Hulu tried to desperately pay my brother @danawhite millions without offering me a dollar to promote their slave master take over story about my life,” Tyson <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg5xQwPrx4V/">said</a>. “He turned it down because he honors friendship and treating people with dignity. I’ll never forget what he did for me just like I’ll never forget what Hulu stole from me.”
“Mike” stars Trevante Rhodes as Tyson and promises to “explore the wild, tragic and controversial life and career of heavyweight champion Mike Tyson &#8211; one of the most polarizing figures in sports culture,” per the <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14181914/">IMDb</a> description. The miniseries is scheduled to debut on August 25.
Tyson has been railing against “Mike” for months. In a now-deleted Instagram post from February, he wrote, “Hulu’s announcement to do an unauthorized mini-series of the Tyson story without compensation, although unfortunate, isn’t surprising,” the celeb wrote at the time, per <a href="https://deadline.com/2022/08/mike-tyson-takes-jab-hulu-mike-series-premiere-they-stole-my-life-story-1235086753/">Deadline</a>.
“This announcement on the heels of social disparities in our country is a prime example of how Hulu’s corporate greed led to this tone-deaf cultural misappropriation of the Tyson life story. To make this announcement during Black History Month only confirms Hulu’s concern for dollars over respect for black story rights. Hollywood needs to be more sensitive to black experiences especially after all that has transpired in 2020.”
Showrunner Karen Gist defended the existence of “Mike.” 
“We just wanted to tell an unbiased story and have the audience decide what they think or feel,” Gist said at Hulu’s Television Critics Tour panel last week. 
“Challenging what people think they know about Mike and hoping that they come away from the series with something else to think about. Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson responded to a video that went viral last month that showed him punching a passenger on an airplane, saying that the man who he hit had &#8220;f***ing with&#8221; him.
Tyson&#8217;s remarks come after TMZ released a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-mike-tyson-repeatedly-punches-man-in-the-face-on-airplane-after-being-provoked-report-says">video</a> last month showing the April 20th incident in San Francisco.
&#8220;He was f&#8212;&#8212; with me, man. I took pictures with this n&#8212;-,&#8221; Tyson said during a podcast episode that aired late last week. &#8220;I shouldn’t even be taking public planes. My wife gets mad that I take public planes, but what am I gonna do on a f&#8212;&#8212; plane with my friends and [a bodyguard] he&#8217;s supposed to watch me?&#8221;
Tyson said that the event &#8220;triggered&#8221; him and that he was happy that he was not facing charges from the incident.
&#8220;I just don&#8217;t f&#8212; with people because from my experience I know anybody is capable of killing you,&#8221; Tyson later added.
San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said that the decision to not charge Tyson was due in-part to the behavior of the other passenger.
“We have reviewed the police reports of the San Francisco Police Department and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and have viewed the various videos collected by law enforcement from others on the airplane,” Wagstaffe <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mike-tyson-wont-face-charges-for-beatdown-of-fellow-airline-passenger">said</a>. “Our decision is that we will not file any charges against Mr. Tyson based on the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.”
“These include the conduct of the victim leading up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the victim, as well as the requests of both the victim and Mr. Tyson that no charges be filed in this case.”
TMZ reported at the time that witnesses said that Tyson had told the other passenger to cool it with his behavior and that Tyson lashed out when the man did not stop.
“Video we obtained shows Tyson throwing a flurry of blows at the man, which you can see bloodied the passenger’s forehead,&#8221; TMZ added. &#8220;The witness says Mike walked off the plane just seconds later.”
A representative for Tyson told a local news station at the time that the man was harassing Tyson and threw a water bottle at him.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat,” Tyson’s representative said.

A spokesperson for Tyson later told ESPN that the passenger had been &#8220;harassing him and threw a water bottle at him.&#8221;
A witness at the time told TMZ that Tyson took a selfie with the man, who then continued to pester the ex-heavyweight champion.
“Eventually, though, we’re told Tyson had enough of the guy behind him talking in his ear … and told him to chill. San Francisco police interviewed and then released both men at the time.
Tyson, 55, who went by the nicknames &#8220;Iron Mike&#8221; and &#8220;The Baddest Man on the Planet&#8221; during a 20-year career that began in 1985, compiled a record of 50-6-2 and became the heavyweight champion of the world in 1986 at age 20. He later served three years in prison in the 1990s for rape.

Tyson made news last month after he was confronted, along with others, by a man who pulled a gun at a rooftop bar in California. The man reportedly challenged Tyson to a fight but Tyson decided to stay calm and defused the situation.
“While you can’t hear exactly what was being said in the footage, eyewitnesses tell us the man was actually challenging Mike to a fight — suggesting he wanted to elevate his ‘status,’” <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/20220324134010/https://www.tmz.com/2022/03/23/mike-tyson-guy-pulls-gun-fight-comedy-show/">TMZ reported</a>, adding that a man they were informed was the host/MC of the show had told the man to leave and started to shove him toward the exit, saying, “What the f*** are you doing? Get the f*** out of here. I’m not playing with you, get out of here, bro. I don’t give a f***.”

A 60-year-old California insurance salesman who works out regularly had a heck of a surprise for a burglar, punching him out and holding him until police arrived, later stating, “I went Mike Tyson on him.”
Oak Park resident Sal Mercado, returning from the grocery store, arrived at his home Friday night and noticed an SUV parked on the street in front of his house with a man wearing a Dodger cap sitting inside, as <a href="https://www.theacorn.com/articles/oak-park-man-hailed-a-hero-for-taking-down-home-burglary-crew/?fbclid=IwAR2xIDoDg59gct0U8q0Z-kI1BCvgeR36qJLZ1iRmPpmgsouTkUaN0WHwzVE">The Acorn</a> reported. Mercado surmised later that the two burglars inside the house exited when he arrived because they were in radio communication with the getaway car.
As he approached his house, one burglar just inside his home ran out. Mercado recalled, &#8220;He starts to go through the side of me to get out of the house, but I went BAM with the right cross, and he went down onto the grass of the front yard, picked himself up and ran to the car.” The car sped off with the driver and first burglar inside.
Then the second burglar, identified as Alexis Provoste Aranguiz, holding jewelry and electronics, started to exit the home. This time Mercado was more successful. “I just didn’t give him a chance, just hit him, because first of all, I don’t know if he has a gun, a knife, any kind of weapon, right? You just don’t know. Your mind goes crazy,” Mercado <a href="https://ktla.com/news/crime-tourism-strikes-in-oak-park/?fbclid=IwAR1U0oBmrK4Lno61CpX--b-wx2u63NmoBpqoI7zj6RhpgGNlbBxJ3PqrYJk">told</a> KTLA.  He echoed to <a href="https://abc7.com/ventura-county-homeowner-burglary-crime-tourism/11718603/">ABC 7</a>, “He came at me &#8230; I didn&#8217;t know if he had weapons before anything could happen. I just went BAM with the right, BAM with the left &#8230; I went Mike Tyson on him. He stumbled then he fell on the grass coming out of the house.”
Mercado tackled Aranguiz and yelled  for neighbors to call 911. He said, “Our neighbors were all out, I’m yelling ‘Call 911,’ my glasses went flying … The only thing I didn’t think about was, the getaway car got away by this time.”
Still, Aranguiz managed to get free. Mercado said, “I tackled him and shoved him into the bushes on the side of my house again. The way I tackled him &#8230; grabbing his arms pulling them back, pin them on the back, and then put my full weight on his head, but he was all bloody and my whole arms were bloody.”
Aranguiz, who is allegedly part of a burglary ring from Chile, is now in custody, charged with two felonies. Capt. Cameron Henderson of the Ventura County Sheriff’s office admitted, “We see these Chilean burglary crews coming in, and it’s become pretty common in the last three to four years.” Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Ashley Barrios said, “They’ll typically case neighborhoods in advance and see ways they can get in and out.”
Mercado told ABC 7, “The thought was, ‘I got this guy. I&#8217;m going to catch him. I want to make sure he gets prosecuted. I want to make sure I hold him down until the cops get here, because our government is not doing enough to fight crime.’ My mentality was, ‘Don&#8217;t let this guy escape.’” He noted that three patrol cars arrived within minutes, adding, “Kudos to the police department. They were there like that,” snapping his fingers.
Mercado concluded, “I was very fortunate and blessed that there were no weapons.” His wife Denise said, “We are all very terrified of the situation. They were very brazen to come on a Friday night. I’ve lived here for 30 years and there’s never been anything like this.”

Former professional boxer Mike Tyson has released an edible cannabis product shaped like a severed ear called &#8220;Mike Bites,&#8221; and one state has already banned them from being sold — weed-legalizing Colorado.
The cannabis enthusiast&#8217;s new item consists of red gummies in the shape of ears with a bite taken out of them, <a href="https://www.indy100.com/celebrities/mike-tyson-weed-gummies-banned?utm_content=Echobox&amp;utm_medium=Social&amp;utm_source=Facebook&amp;fbclid=IwAR00doI-57htNe1EzJtRS3vwTtXe99dqC7LHZpzVe0pq7dCwASN2CCkvIUg#Echobox=1649192098">reported</a> Indy100.com.
He is currently only selling the product from his Tyson 2.0 line in California, <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/mike-tysons-ear-shaped-weed-gummies-knocked-out-of-colorado">reported</a> the Washington Examiner. The reason being because Colorado&#8217;s existing <a href="https://leg.colorado.gov/sites/default/files/2016a_1436_signed.pdf">HB 1436 bill</a> from 2016 bans the selling of edibles in the shape of humans, fruit, animals, or other objects that could be enticing to children, previously <a href="https://www.westword.com/marijuana/no-more-edibles-shaped-like-animals-fruit-or-humans-in-colorado-9485978">reported</a> by Westword.
&#8220;A prohibition on the production and sale of edible medical marijuana-infused products that are in the distinct shape of a human, animal or fruit,&#8221; the bill read. &#8220;Geometric shapes and products that are simply fruit flavoured are not considered fruit.&#8221;

June marks the 25th anniversary of when the former heavyweight champion fought Evander Holyfield, and infamously bit off a piece of Holyfield&#8217;s ear during their boxing match, <a href="https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x89kpke">reported</a> Daily Motion.
The cannabis gummies have been released as a way to recognize that moment, which Tyson called &#8220;pretty bad,&#8221; during an <a href="https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x89kpke">interview</a> for Cheddar News.
&#8220;I just think this is just me owning what I did,&#8221; Tyson, the chief brand officer and co-founder, shared during an interview with CEO Adam Wilks. &#8220;I&#8217;m owning my responsibility. I&#8217;ve done that. That was pretty bad at the time, but I turned it over to make it pretty good.&#8221;
The ear-biting incident ended up disqualifying Tyson from the World Boxing Association Heavyweight Championship.
During the interview with Cheddar, Tyson also said he lost &#8220;three million dollars&#8221; as a result of the bite, but that he&#8217;s ended up tripling what he lost in the years since due to people wanting to take pictures with the boxing legend pretending to bite their ears.
Tyson also said that Holyfield has been really cool about it, too, that the two made amends afterward, and are friends.
He also promised that they plan to launch more &#8220;ear products.” Wilks added that a full line of merchandise would be rolling out around the &#8220;Mike Bites&#8221; line.
The Denver-based outlet, <a href="https://www.westword.com/marijuana/colorado-mike-tyson-weed-edibles-law-bans-ear-shape-evander-holyfield-13781569">Westword</a>, reported that a form of Tyson gummies will be sold in Colorado, but instead they will be in the shape of a &#8220;T.&#8221;

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, confronted along with others by a man who pulled a gun at a Hollywood rooftop bar comedy club on Tuesday night, remained ice-cold in his seat at the bar, never flinching as the man reportedly challenged him to a fight. Tyson then defused the entire situation when the man approached him, hugging him before the man left the club.

As he initially started to leave, the man said, “I’m joking, man.” The man then yanked a gun from his waistband and cocked it as startled customers frantically started ducking under tables while Tyson never moved. Changing his mind, the man put the gun back in his waistband and said, “I&#8217;m out of here” as he headed for the exit. Then he turned to Tyson and called, “&#8217;Hey I love you fam, salute to all of your accomplishments, for real, if it wasn&#8217;t for you we wouldn&#8217;t have no inspiration, I love you OG, for real. From the heart, for real.  Respect,” the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10644753/Moment-man-pulls-GUN-Mike-Tyson-comedy-gig-Hollywood-boxing-champ-hugs-him.html">The Daily Mail</a> reported.
Told to leave, he added, “I told you am just joking.” Tyson then called him over, but the man initially responded, “No,” but Tyson urges him to come over, whereupon the man approached Tyson and the two hugged. The man then said, “New York! Brownsville!” to reference the area Tyson grew up, then saluted Tyson before he started to exit, but called back, “you a sucker’ adding, “You a b**** a** n*****.”
After the man left, the crowd applauded Tyson. According to TMZ, the LAPD said they were never called; the armed man was not identified.
