For months, Americans have watched President Donald Trump deliver on the promises that helped fuel his return to the White House. The border is more secure. Tax relief is moving forward. No taxes on tips became reality. Republicans have shown that when they are united, they can govern with speed and purpose.
The chance to shape history is rare. Right now, Congress has that chance — and the clock is ticking.
But one major promise remains unfinished: making America the crypto capital of the world.
The good news is that Congress can finish the job — and deliver the perfect birthday gift to America in the process.
When the Senate Banking Committee <a href="https://www.banking.senate.gov/newsroom/majority/chairman-scott-senate-banking-committee-advance-clarity-act-in-historic-bipartisan-vote">advanced</a> the Clarity Act with bipartisan support, it sent a clear signal that lawmakers understand what is at stake. Even more encouraging, Senator Cynthia Lummis recently <a href="https://www.binance.com/en-TR/square/post/06-04-2026-senator-lummis-expects-clarity-act-passage-by-august-recess-330303642523329">suggested</a> the legislation could reach President Trump&#8217;s desk by July 4. The opportunity is real. The momentum is real. But momentum means nothing if Congress allows delay to become defeat.
The forces opposing this legislation understand they are losing the argument. That&#8217;s why they aren&#8217;t trying to defeat it outright. They&#8217;re trying to delay it.
Slow it down. Demand more studies. Hold more hearings. Push it past July 4. Kick it into election season.
Washington calls it &#8220;process.&#8221; The American people call it failure.
The digital asset revolution isn&#8217;t coming — it&#8217;s already here. The only question is whether America leads it or watches from the sidelines while competitors race ahead.
President Trump has made his position clear: America should be the crypto capital of the world.
He&#8217;s right.
The nations that lead digital assets, blockchain technology, and next-generation finance will enjoy a significant economic advantage for decades to come. America can either write the rules or live under someone else’s.
There is no third option.
China understands what&#8217;s at stake. Beijing is investing aggressively in the technologies that will define the next century because it wants to dominate the infrastructure of tomorrow&#8217;s global economy.
Congress should not hand China that opportunity.
For more than two centuries, America has led the world in the most important innovations—from the Industrial Revolution to the Internet Revolution. There&#8217;s no reason to surrender leadership now.
The stakes extend far beyond cryptocurrency. This is about whether the next generation of financial innovation is built in America or overseas, whether American workers benefit from that growth, and whether consumers gain access to faster, cheaper, and more efficient financial tools.
The current system rewards gatekeepers and middlemen. The American people deserve better.
Trump voters support it. Independent voters support it. Young voters support it. Entrepreneurs support it. Small-business owners support it.
Lawmakers should also recognize that not every bill moving through Washington has a clear path forward. The ROAD to Housing Act passed the House with several toxic Maxine Waters amendments that complicate its prospects for timely advancement in the Senate. Housing affordability remains an important priority, but with the housing package facing a rocky road and the Clarity Act gaining momentum by the day, the choice should be obvious for legislators looking for their next major bipartisan win.
The legislative calendar is shrinking. Campaign season is approaching. Every day without Congressional action makes success more difficult.
America&#8217;s 250th birthday should be more than a celebration of our past — it should be a declaration about our future.
Passing the Clarity Act before July 4 would do more than fulfill a campaign promise. It would demonstrate that America still has the courage to lead. Congress has a chance to send a message heard around the world: the United States is not retreating from innovation, surrendering to bureaucracy, or allowing Beijing to dictate the future.
America intends to win the race, lead the future, and remain the world&#8217;s economic powerhouse for generations to come.
With bipartisan support growing and momentum building, Congress has a rare opportunity to deliver a victory that is both symbolic and substantive.
The question is whether lawmakers will seize it — or let it slip away.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent waged a verbal war on Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) during a Capitol Hill hearing on Wednesday, ultimately asking the California Congresswoman whether it would be possible for her to &#8220;maintain some level of dignity.&#8221;
Waters had spent some of her time leading up to that heated exchange asking whether Bessent would be &#8220;the voice of reason&#8221; and oppose President Donald Trump&#8217;s tariffs.

&#8220;A study from Wharton University has shown —&#8221; Bessent tried again, but Waters continued interrupting.
&#8220;Reclaiming my time. Reclaiming my time. Reclaiming my time. Reclaiming my time,&#8221; Waters repeated several times. &#8220;Mr. Chair, will you let him know when I ask to reclaim my time —&#8221;
Rep. French Hill, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, conceded that the time did, in fact, belong to Waters.
&#8220;Ten to 20 million Americans —&#8221; Bessent made one last attempt.
Waters, clearly exasperated, turned to Hill and asked, &#8220;Can you shut him up?&#8221;
&#8220;What about the housing stock for working Americans? And can you maintain some level of dignity?&#8221; Bessent jabbed at Waters, just as Hill announced that Waters&#8217;s time had expired.
Waters objected, but Hill repeated that her time had expired.
&#8220;The gentleman took up my time. I think you should recognize that, Mr. Chair,&#8221; she said.
Bessent also sparred with several other Democrats during Wednesday&#8217;s hearing, including Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA), who spent much of his allotted time shouting at the Treasury Secretary. When Bessent did get a chance to speak, he said calmly, &#8220;Could you speak a little louder? I can&#8217;t hear you.&#8221;
&#8220;Yeah, okay,&#8221; was Lynch&#8217;s sarcastic response.

Topline: Pockets of Los Angeles are still under siege by anti-ICE rioters &#8212; and now the Marines are stepping in.
After a weekend of riots, on Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump deployed hundreds of Marines expected to protect federal personnel and property. They will join the 2,000 National Guardsmen who’ve already been activated. 
The move came as the unrest entered its fourth day. The chaos continued over the last 24 hours with rioters downtown shutting down a highway, setting self-driving autotaxis on fire, and lobbing bricks, Molotov cocktails, and fireworks at police. In one incident, rioters smashed out the windows at LAPD headquarters. In another, a number of businesses, including a Jordan sneaker store, were broken into and looted. Dozens of arrests have been made, but violent crowds continued to form overnight, vowing to riot until federal agents cease their deportation raids.
Trump has thus far refused to back down. The president said on Truth Social that he would “deal with the violent, instigated riots in California” and that without his deployment of the National Guard, “Los Angeles would have been completely obliterated.”
However, Republicans have accused many California Democrats of offering tacit support to the rioters while blaming President Trump for the violence:
Governor Gavin Newsom wrote on <a href="https://x.com/CAgovernor/status/1931916549490929862">X</a>, “Donald Trump is putting fuel on this fire. Commandeering a state&#8217;s National Guard without consulting the Governor of that state is illegal and immoral,” and the governor has announced plans to sue the administration for deploying California’s National Guard without permission. In an interview with <a href="https://x.com/DOGE__news/status/1931911364487876934">MSNBC</a>, Newsom challenged Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, to arrest him. “Come after me. Arrest me. Let’s just get it over with, tough guy. I don’t give a damn.”
(For his part, Trump responded Monday by saying, “I would [arrest him] if I were Tom. Gavin likes the publicity.”)
Senator Alex Padilla characterized the protests as <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/1932081379082129886">“peaceful” and “passionate”</a>. “The vast majority of protesters and demonstrators are peaceful. … When you come into a community like Los Angeles, the way the Trump administration has, you need to expect to be countered with people who are passionate about defending fundamental rights.”
California Congresswoman Maxine Waters falsely claimed on CNN that there has been “no violence,” and later <a href="https://x.com/Mrgunsngear/status/1931839150145069529">taunted</a> members of the National Guard, saying, “What are you gonna do, shoot some kids? You gonna shoot an elected official? If you shoot me, you better shoot straight. I don’t know why you’re in my city … this is Trump.”
The White House has argued these riots are proving their point — that illegal aliens are wreaking havoc on American cities.
<h2>National Guard Legal Dispute</h2>

Topline: President Trump dispatched National Guard troops to Los Angeles this weekend despite the protests of local Democrat leaders. While disputes over National Guard deployments are unusual, they aren’t entirely unprecedented.
The federal government is typically barred from deploying military resources for law enforcement purposes in the United States – with one exception, found in the Insurrection Act, which says that the military can be deployed to enforce the law or quell rebellion. Constitutionally, its use relies on Congress’s authority to “provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.”
The last time the National Guard was called on to quell riots was, coincidentally, also in Los Angeles, when President George H. W. Bush called them in to crack down on the Rodney King riots. One big difference between 1992 and today is that Bush had the backing of California’s governor and the mayor of L.A. Trump has neither, and that has been a focus of criticism.
California filed a lawsuit against the federal government on Monday, arguing that Trump&#8217;s mobilization of the National Guard violated constitutional procedure and the state’s sovereignty.
“[Trump’s order] abused the federal government&#8217;s authority and violated the 10th Amendment and federal law,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta <a href="https://x.com/cspan/status/1932142229793239207">said</a>. “As a result, I, in partnership with Governor Gavin Newsom, [am] suing President Trump and asking the court to set aside the president&#8217;s unlawful action federalizing the California National Guard.”
Republicans have largely supported the president’s actions and condemned the ongoing unrest.
“I spent 20 years in the military,” Congressman Tony Gonzales (R-TX) told <a href="https://x.com/RepTonyGonzales/status/1931746619201827272">CBS</a> on &#8220;Face The Nation.&#8221; “I fought in two wars. I fought to give people the freedom to protest whatever the hell they want to. But what we&#8217;re seeing in L.A. are not advocates. We&#8217;re seeing anarchists, and the President of the United States should absolutely put down the mob as soon as possible.”
<h2>Activists Create Anti-ICE Infrastructure</h2>

Topline: The anti-ICE protests sweeping through the Los Angeles area are being promoted and organized by left-wing activist groups, including a prominent nonprofit that receives tens of millions of taxpayer dollars from California.
The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, or CHIRLA, has been identified as one of the key financial backers of the ongoing anti-ICE protests. <a href="https://x.com/LauraPowellEsq">Laura Powell</a>, civil liberties attorney and founder of Californians for Good Governance, told The Daily Wire that CHIRLA received $34 million from the state government in 2023, primarily from the California Social Services Department.
“There&#8217;s a rapid response network that was set up that is a coalition of various nonprofits, but [CHIRLA] seem[s] to be the central one because it&#8217;s their phone number that&#8217;s used as this hotline,” Powell said. “People on the street can call in to report when ICE is in the area and then they can deploy people to go to that area …and in some cases interfere with the officer&#8217;s work.”
In addition to tens of millions of dollars from the state government, CHIRLA received $450,000 from the Department of Homeland Security with the assistance of L.A. Democratic Mayor Karen Bass.
An investigation by Californians for Good Governance has also uncovered deep ties between CHIRLA and California’s Democratic establishment.
“Mayor Bass of Los Angeles is very connected to them. They&#8217;ve supported her. She&#8217;s bragged about helping them get federal funding in the past,” Powell told The Daily Wire. “They endorsed Kamala Harris, of course, Gavin Newsom, Adam Schiff. … They can&#8217;t directly endorse candidates because they&#8217;re a 501(c)(3), but they have a 501(c)(4) that they use for those candidate endorsements. They also sponsor a lot of legislation at the state level.”

Waters was captured on video shouting at the National Guard troops — ordered in by President Donald Trump after two days of protesters rioting and attacking ICE agents as they attempted to enforce federal immigration laws.
&#8220;Why do you have guns? What are you going to do, you going to shoot some kid who&#8217;s afraid of you and runs?&#8221; she asked. &#8220;You going to shoot an elected official? Waters made the highly inflammatory remarks while speaking at press conference for the Congressional Black Caucus.
&#8220;I’m worried that Trump is on the edge of creating a civil war,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;He alluded to it more than once. He alluded to the fact that if he did not get reelected, that there could be a civil war.&#8221;
She claimed that this idea placed a major responsibility on Democrats to &#8220;live and do, like Doctor Martin Luther King told us to do.&#8221;
&#8220;He taught us to organize and to protest, but he taught us nonviolence,&#8221; she said. &#8220;He taught us nonviolence. That was the center. That was the core of his message. And we live with that all the time. No matter how upset we can get, no matter how angry we can get. We live with what we’ve been taught.&#8221;
Waters claimed that Trump was putting people &#8220;in a position where hungry people are going to be on the street, where nonprofits who were waiting for their checks are not going to get them, where seniors waiting for their Social Security check will not get it – where poor families with children will not get what they believe the government has agreed to do.&#8221;
&#8220;And so when that happens, what does Trump expect? Oh, I believe he expects violence,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he’s working toward a civil war.&#8221;

Ryan was not the only Democrat to pan the protests — in fact, a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/can-we-play-it-again-cnn-panel-cracks-up-over-ridiculous-dem-protests-against-elon-musk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN panel</a> came to a similar conclusion on Tuesday evening as even Democrat commentator Bakari Sellers admitted he was not a fan.

As former President Donald Trump marched to victory over Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday night, leftist members of the media and Democrats cited racism and misogyny.
Trump was declared the victor first by Fox News, but it took hours for other news organizations to admit the fact.
Former Barack Obama advisor David Axelrod cited sexism as part of the reason for Harris’ defeat.
“I think there are plenty of ways to critique her as a candidate; I think they’ll be time to do that,&#8221; Axelrod said. &#8220;But that doesn’t obviate the fact that there were some people who probably voted against her, we’ve never had a woman president, that there’s sexism in this country.&#8221;
“I do have to wonder what role race and gender played,” ABC’s Linsey Davis said.
“I mean, we’re talking about, one thing that stands out, a less diverse electorate, when you think about even just at-large with the world, of the 193 member nations only 13 have a woman who leads them. Black women are often the last at the table when it comes to pay disparity in this country, getting 67 cents on the dollar when it comes to white men.&#8221;
Davis went on: &#8220;And so I don’t know that we have the answers tonight, but I think that is kind of the elephant in the room that we’re not talking about, because we’re not just talking about having a woman, we’re talking about having a woman of color, and I think that that’s something that we cannot underestimate.”
Asked why Trump won, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) declared, “Racism is the basic part. Now I know that there will be some support from some minorities, but basically, we’re outnumbered. We’re outnumbered. And it’s not about whether or not, y’know, people are selecting absolutely based on public policy or whether or not there’s an elected official who’s willing to do what’s in the best interest of all the people.&#8221;
&#8220;People don’t like to talk about racism,&#8221; Waters said. &#8220;But the fact of the matter is the majority of his votes are going to come from whites, and that’s who he has been talking to, all campaign, about taking the country back, taking it back from too many minorities who are doing too well.”

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said during an interview this week that Vice President Kamala Harris did &#8220;all the right things&#8221; regarding her rise in the political world.
Waters made the remarks during an interview with MSNBC host Joy Reid. They discussed Harris&#8217; new presidential campaign, which launched on Sunday after President Joe Biden announced that he was quitting his re-election bid.
&#8220;It is going to be tough. They&#8217;re gonna accuse her, they&#8217;re gonna call her names, they&#8217;re gonna do all kinds of things. But you know, she is not going to be intimidated,&#8221; Waters said. &#8220;She&#8217;s smart, she&#8217;s tough, she knows how it all works now. She&#8217;s worked at the White House, she&#8217;s the Vice President of the United States, and she&#8217;s smarter than Trump. And so, if they come after her, she&#8217;s gonna get them.&#8221;
While discussing Harris&#8217;s rise through California politics, Waters said Harris was a &#8220;determined person.&#8221;
&#8220;She had a good career because she concentrated and worked at having a good career,&#8221; Waters said. &#8220;And she moved right up the ladder into the Senate and into the Vice Presidency. Well, it was all because she is strong and she believed in herself. And she came from strong parents.&#8221;
&#8220;It was that kind of strength and that kind of courage and that kind of belief in self that I think defines her,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;And she did all the right things, for the most part, in terms of how you climb up the ladder. I don&#8217;t care what they say. She trained well, she went to school, she did well. All of those things that she was taught to do. And so, I think she&#8217;d be seen and understood as a woman who was always on a mission. She was accomplished. She succeeded.&#8221;

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) declared over the weekend that if former President Donald Trump wins re-election that &#8220;millions&#8221; of people will be threatened and &#8220;killings&#8221; will happen.
Waters made the remarks during a Sunday interview on MSNBC when asked about if she was concerned about her personal safety if Trump were to win.
&#8220;I’m very concerned, not only about my safety and not only about the safety of members of Congress,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;I’m concerned about the safety of so many people in this country, particularly people of color. Donald Trump has said that if he does not win, it is going to be fraud, and because it is going to be fraud, there will be blood in the streets. He threatens about a civil war, and he threatens there’s going to be violence.&#8221;
&#8220;I would say all of this talk is motivational with many of those who are racist, who are sitting at home listening to him, and they are taking him up on his threats even before the elections take place,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;It is about thousands, maybe millions of people being threatened and being at risk because of Donald Trump and his desire to seek revenge on anything and everybody.&#8221;
She claimed that Trump&#8217;s words, combined with the January 6 riot, would lead to &#8220;more killings&#8221; happening.
&#8220;I think Donald Trump has to take responsibility for what he is saying about blood in the streets and violence if he is not elected to be the president of the United States of America,&#8221; she said.

Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) sounded off over the weekend about &#8220;domestic terrorists&#8221; who support former President Donald Trump, saying they should be investigated for potentially plotting a &#8220;civil war.&#8221;
During an MSNBC interview on Sunday, Waters called Trump&#8217;s rhetoric &#8220;dangerous&#8221; and said she would ask the criminal justice system to tell her &#8220;what&#8217;s going on,&#8221; Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/rep-maxine-waters-trump-supporters-investigated-preparing-civil-war">reported</a>.
&#8220;I&#8217;m worried that he&#8217;s so divisive and that he&#8217;s talking about retribution, and they&#8217;re talking about revenge and I think that that&#8217;s dangerous. He&#8217;s even mentioned civil war at one point, talked about there would be bloodshed,&#8221; Waters said.

&#8220;I am going to spend some time with the criminal justice system, with the justice system asking them, &#8216;Tell us what&#8217;s going on with the domestic terrorists. Are they preparing a civil war against us? Should we be concerned about our safety? What is he doing with this divisive language? It is dangerous, and we are going to have to make sure that we understand that we&#8217;re not at risk with this man talking in the way that he&#8217;s doing.&#8221;
Waters went on to slam Trump for being &#8220;in love&#8221; with foreign leaders and countries.
&#8220;This is not good for this country, but he does not care about democracy,&#8221; Waters said. &#8220;He does not care about the Constitution of the United States. He&#8217;s in love with Putin and Russia and Kim Jong Un and North Korea and all of that.&#8221;
&#8220;And so it&#8217;s not just that he&#8217;s a criminal. This is a man who disrespects the Constitution and democracy, and we have got to find out what they&#8217;re doing as domestic terrorists tried to take over the government on January 6,&#8221; she said.
Waters suggested Trump supporters might engage in violent attacks and said she was trying to start an &#8220;investigation.&#8221;
&#8220;How far is this going to go?&#8221; Waters asked. &#8220;Are they going to be attacking? Whom are they going to attack? What are we going to do? We&#8217;re trying to get an investigation going about that.&#8221;
Back in 2018, Waters called for Americans to harass Trump&#8217;s Cabinet members if they encountered them in public places.
&#8220;Let&#8217;s stay the course,&#8221; Waters <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/25/politics/maxine-waters-trump-officials/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> a crowd of her supporters at a rally in Los Angeles. &#8220;Let&#8217;s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they&#8217;re not welcome anymore, anywhere.&#8221;
