Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel defended his jabs at newly-sworn-in Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, saying that his intent had not been to insult plumbers, only to say that he didn&#8217;t believe Mullin was qualified to hold his current post.
Kimmel began by blaming President Donald Trump for the backlash he&#8217;d received, noting that Trump had complained about him while &#8220;The Five&#8221; on Fox News earlier that day.
&#8220;[The president&#8217;s] apple polishers are all in a tizzy because I made light of the fact that his new head of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, before he was a senator, was a plumber,&#8221; Kimmel said, and then he doubled down. &#8220;And now he&#8217;s the head of Homeland Security. Which is not necessarily the kind of resume you might hope for, for the person in charge of protecting us from terrorism.&#8221;

&#8220;Of course [conservatives] decided to twist that to say it was an insult to plumbers, which it was not,&#8221; Kimmel continued, saying that he had meant to draw attention to Mullin&#8217;s qualifications. &#8220;I wouldn&#8217;t put a plumber in charge of homeland security for the same reason I wouldn&#8217;t call a five-star general to pull a rat out of my toilet &#8230; We all have our areas of expertise.&#8221;
Kimmel went even further, suggesting that what he was doing was no different from those who were critical of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez — who previously worked as a bartender — and suggested that she was more qualified to serve drinks than to serve in Congress.
&#8220;Well, on behalf of bartenders everywhere, we anxiously await your apology,&#8221; he said.
What Kimmel left out — both in his initial comments about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jimmy-kimmel-mocks-markwayne-mullins-blue-collar-roots">Mullin</a> and the follow up — was that Mullin went to work at his family&#8217;s plumbing business at just 20 years old, leaving college to take over due to his father&#8217;s illness. He proceeded to take the small family business and expand it to a multi-million dollar enterprise.

You want to know why we are having all this trouble with the TSA?
One word: Democrats.
The standoff over the funding of the Department of Homeland Security, including TSA, continues. People are waiting for hours at airports because of it. 
According to <a href="https://www.npr.org/2026/03/25/nx-s1-5760981/tsa-wait-times-lines">NPR</a>:
<blockquote>The Transportation Security Administration is experiencing the longest wait times ever in its 24-year history because of the ongoing partial shutdown, the agency&#8217;s deputy administrator, Ha Nguyen McNeill, told the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday.
Wait times at some major airports have exceeded four hours, and employees at those airports are calling out of work at rates of 40% to 50%, McNeill told members of the committee. If this partial government shutdown continues into Friday, TSA will have missed almost $1 billion in paychecks since it began, McNeill said. …</blockquote>
McNeill thanked Trump for sending ICE agents to some major airports, &#8220;enabling TSA officers to focus on carrying out critical security screening duties during this challenging time for our agency.”
TSA may have to close smaller airports due to understaffing, she said, and she worried the agency will continue to lose officers to more steady jobs and fail to attract new talent.
This is crazy town. It&#8217;s insanity.

It&#8217;s happening because Democrats have decided that posturing over ICE is more important than basic safety standards and citizen protections all over the United States. 
Senate majority leader John Thune is not wrong when he says that Democrats seem to believe that the current shutdown is good for their left-wing base. For them, it&#8217;s all about politics, and it always has been.
In last fall’s shutdown by the Democrats, the whole government was shut down for 46 days. Remember Chuck Schumer saying, “Every day gets better for us”? Now you have Hawaii senator Brian Schatz, a member of the Democrat leadership in this shutdown, saying. “We are very serene.”
It’s all playing politics and has been from the beginning. They think this is really good with their base. Their left-wing base won&#8217;t take yes for an answer, and so the Democrats won’t either. But they&#8217;re going to have to, because at some point, people will realize that it is the Democrats who are blockading and have been blockading funding to the Department of Homeland Security.
This is very simple. The Democrats are shutting down the Department of Homeland Security. Everyone knows this. All they have to do is pass a clean funding bill for DHS.
Instead, Democrats seem to think they can insult their way to political victory.
Jimmy Kimmel randomly insulted the new DHS secretary, Markwayne Mullin, for the great crime of being a plumber, which is a weird take from Jimmy Kimmel, who was a shock-jock radio sports guy.
I was informed that it&#8217;s good that AOC was a bartender, but it&#8217;s bad that a senator who is now running DHS was a plumber?
Why?
Democrats are going even harder than that.
Brandon Johnson, the ridiculous mayor of Chicago, debuted his own snowplow truck festooned with a banner stating “Abolish ICE,” because he&#8217;s abolishing genuine ice, but he also wants to abolish ICE. 
Genius-level politicking.
Rep. Thomas Suozzi is arguing for full-scale legalization of illegal immigrants.
Democrats seem to believe that illegal immigrants roaming free is more important than you being able to get to your plane on time.
How pathetic is the Left on these issues?
The Loyola University of Chicago student newspaper —the campus newspaper of murdered student Sheridan Gorman — issued a formal apology for calling her murderer an illegal immigrant.
I&#8217;m not kidding. She was murdered, and the student newspaper stated, “In the body of the original post, we describe the man who was charged as an illegal immigrant using language provided by the Department of Homeland Security. That language does not align with the Associated Press style, nor does it align with the values of this newspaper. No human&#8217;s existence is illegal, and we quickly changed our wording to reflect that. We acknowledge the harm such language can cause, and the power and importance of the words we choose to use.” 
Ridiculous.
No one says that a human&#8217;s existence is illegal. But the term is not illegal human. The term is illegal immigrant.
They are more concerned about the terminology used to address illegal immigration than they are about the fact that an illegal immigrant allegedly murdered one of their students.
The Democrats aren&#8217;t just defending illegal immigration. They&#8217;re defending crime wholesale.
A couple of years ago, we visited the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, which was basically an open-air fentanyl market, one of the most horrifying things I&#8217;ve ever seen in person.
Now, the Philadelphia D.A. Larry Krasner is threatening to prosecute IRS agents.
This is how crazy Democrats are. They believe that ICE agents ought to be prosecuted, but illegal immigrants ought not, and you should wait in line at the airport because of this.
The open lawbreaking in Philadelphia and the open anti-Americanism are astonishing. Pro-Iran, pro-Hamas, pro-terrorist protesters in Philadelphia even openly celebrated the killing of American troops.
For many of these folks, the lawbreaking is the point. The anti-Americanism is the point.
It makes you wonder on a broader level: Why do so many people in the Democratic Party seem so sanguine about a wide-open border, about importing people that we can&#8217;t vet, about allowing the taxpayer to pay for all these bills?
The answer is that a lot of the people in the Democratic Party are totally fine with anti-Americanism. They like anti-Americanism.
Ilhan Omar, another immigrant we never should have admitted to the United States, showed her wild hatred for America and our allies, ranting:

Her pretending that she gives a damn about American soldiers is really galling. This is a woman who wrote a letter of support to a judge for a person who tried to join ISIS. This is a woman who said “something happened to some people” regarding 9/11.
Ilhan Omar has yet to find a terrorist group she cannot find some sort of excuse for.
All of this, of course, is part and parcel of a third-world strategy to undermine the United States. It suggests that people suffering in the Third World are the fault of the United States, and thus the United States must pay.
And all of this falls under the rubric of the Democratic Party not giving a damn about Americans.

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, the quintessential avatar of Hollywood’s detached elite, recently took to the airwaves to demonstrate exactly why &#8220;flyover country&#8221; has tuned him out.
In a segment dripping with the kind of coastal condescension that has become his trademark, Kimmel mocked President Donald Trump’s selection of Markwayne Mullin to lead the Department of Homeland Security, sneering at Mullin’s background as a business owner and tradesman.

The irony is apparently lost on Kimmel: while he spent his youth chasing laughs in the entertainment industry, Mullin was overcoming actual adversity. Born with a clubfoot that required multiple surgeries, Mullin eventually earned a wrestling scholarship and, at just 20 years old, took over his father’s struggling plumbing business. He didn&#8217;t just &#8220;fix pipes&#8221;; he built one of the largest service companies in the region, illustrating the exact kind of American grit and managerial competence that is foreign to the halls of ABC.
Mullin isn&#8217;t just a &#8220;plumber,&#8221; though that is an honorable profession Kimmel clearly views as a punchline. He is a former five-term congressman, a U.S. senator, and an undefeated professional fighter.
This isn’t Kimmel’s first foray into elitist snobbery. Whether he is mocking Melania Trump’s accent, suggesting that unvaccinated Americans should &#8220;rest in peace, wheezy,&#8221; or dismissing the struggles of rural workers during government shutdowns, Kimmel’s track record is one of consistent disdain for the working class.

Kimmel, who has built a career on the very &#8220;clique&#8221; culture he claims to despise, mocked the film’s record-breaking status as the best non-musical documentary debut in a decade. &#8220;That’s just a fancy way of saying it only lost tens of millions of dollars,&#8221; Kimmel quipped, visibly irked that a project associated with the Trump name could still command a box office presence.
The monologue quickly descended into Kimmel&#8217;s signature brand of elitist condescension. He delighted in reports of bulk ticket purchases, comparing the film’s strategy to the RNC’s support of Donald Trump Jr.’s bestseller in 2019 — a book Kimmel claimed &#8220;no one has ever opened.&#8221;
He saved his sharpest vitriol for the American heartland, mocking a group of female congregants from a Dallas megachurch who wore gowns inspired by the First Lady. For the late-night host, it seems the only thing more offensive than Melania Trump’s success is the fact that millions of Americans still refuse to take their cues from his teleprompter.

Ousted CNN anchor Don Lemon embarked on a post-arrest press tour of sorts, joining late night host Jimmy Kimmel to complain about President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration and the arrest he claimed was proof of a campaign of &#8220;intimidation.&#8221;
Lemon joined Kimmel on Monday evening, and the ABC host outdid himself in his efforts to help Lemon paint himself as the victim in a grand scheme — orchestrated by President Trump&#8217;s Justice Department, of course — designed to &#8220;intimidate&#8221; Lemon and others like him into silence.
Kimmel opened the segment by first skipping over the video that appears to show Lemon discussing plans with protest organizers prior to entering the church and then repeatedly referring to Lemon as a &#8220;journalist&#8221; who just happened to be there to record whatever transpired.
Lemon repeated the same as if to reassure the audience that he was, in fact, acting solely as a journalist. &#8220;I&#8217;m not a protester,&#8221; he insisted.

The pair followed that by suggesting that the Justice Department had essentially crowd-sourced the decision to arrest Lemon, taking their cues from right-leaning social media accounts rather than the evidence — and complained that Lemon had been arrested without being offered the chance to quietly surrender himself to law enforcement.
They immediately shifted focus to the judges who&#8217;d <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/appeals-court-finds-probable-cause-to-charge-don-lemon-but-rejects-dojs-bid-to-force-arrest-warrant">declined to sign off</a> on a warrant to arrest Lemon, but ignored the fact that a grand jury had found probable cause to indict him, and at least one of the judges had agreed with their assessment.
Lemon went on to muddy the waters around the grand jury indictment by suggesting that prosecutors could write &#8220;whatever they want&#8221; in an indictment and would never face repercussions if it was not true.

President Donald Trump, who was asked about the situation while aboard Air Force One over the weekend, made it clear that he did not like Lemon, but said that he was unaware of plans to have him arrested before they were carried out.

The Democrats’ attempt at chaos in Minneapolis has now borne fruit with the help of legacy media coverage. 
It&#8217;s also the result of two tragic incidents, and it is indeed the result of the mishandling of those tragic incidents by people inside the Trump administration. That combination means that the attempt at chaos by Democrats in Minneapolis has actually worked, to some extent. 
It has now driven the Trump administration into action. The Trump administration yesterday announced that Gregory Bovino, the Border Patrol chief, has been removed from Minnesota and will apparently return to El Centro. Kristi Noem, the head of the Department of Homeland Security, is also on thin ice at this point, given her mishandling of the two tragic cases in which American citizens were shot by federal agents under disputed circumstances. 
The mishandling of those situations by both Gregory Bovino and Kristi Noem has put the administration in a particularly poor position. 
But let&#8217;s not forget that this begins with Democrats attempting to obstruct federal law.
Democrats have been obstructing federal law and attempting to dissuade the administration from enforcing the law, while the administration has been forced to actually change its tactics with regard to deportations.
The Trump mass deportation policy, which has been part of Trump&#8217;s stump speech since 2015, has suggested that all illegal immigrants have to go. The reality is that Americans are much more focused when it comes to actual deportation from the United States of America. They may be fine with the idea of mass deportation, but the place they really want to focus — and the politically easy call — is to deport the people who are committing rape and arson and sex and assault and murder.

Early on, the administration did an amazing job of specifically targeting those people. The problem is that blue states have refused to work with ICE and tolerated obstruction of federal law enforcement, and that has meant that ICE has become more targeted in its pursuit of criminal illegal aliens.
If local authorities work with ICE and you pick somebody up for rape or murder or some other crime, you check their immigration status. If they are here illegally, you call up ICE, and that person ends up being deported. 
But if local authorities don&#8217;t work with ICE, that person may end up in jail or in the system, acquitted or released for lack of evidence, and can end up running around the countryside.
That&#8217;s what&#8217;s been happening in blue states since October.
What this means is that ICE, when it goes to actually try and do deportations, ends up picking up people who may or may not have committed a crime. 
This is a point that&#8217;s been made by the White House border czar Tom Homan, who said if they let ICE in their jail, ICE could arrest the bad guy in the safety and security of the jail. That also means when ICE does pursue a criminal illegal immigrant, they now have to go and knock down a door.
That makes ICE confrontations more likely. It makes protests more plentiful. It means uglier pictures on your television. 
This is being facilitated and driven by Democrats’ sanctuary city policies. But what that also means is that those ugly pictures on your television change how people think of the issue in general. 
People like it when the law is enforced; they like law and order. They just don&#8217;t like to see law and order in progress. They don&#8217;t want to see it happen. 
This is not just true for illegal immigration. This is true for normal police operations. Policing is a very messy and difficult job. This is why you will see many circumstances in which somebody takes a video of a police officer having to do his job, and the entire online crowd will jump on the police officer for having to do the kinds of things police officers have to do, because pretty much every person who&#8217;s dealing with a cop is experiencing the worst day of their life.. And all day long, the cop has to deal with people on their worst day.  Thus, he is likely to encounter people in their most violent state. 
That means that the pictures on your television when this stuff gets broadcast are ugly. And just like everything else ugly in life, people don&#8217;t like to see the ugliness. They just like to see the result.
 When those ugly pictures involve American citizens being killed under disputed circumstances, that allows legacy media actors to treat all of law enforcement as an exercise in brutal tyranny and to start propagandizing,
Which brings us to Jimmy Kimmel.

<blockquote> I spent the weekend, like probably a lot of you did, looking at my phone and just feeling shocked and sick about what is happening in Minneapolis. One video after another, screaming people being torn from their families, Americans, people who were born in the United States, being pulled out of their cars for the crime of having an accent or whatever.

It&#8217;s like we&#8217;re all being forced to play a game that has no rules. They just make up the rules as they go along. </blockquote>
When you hear Kimmel label our law enforcement as jackbooted and masked thugs who are out there pursuing atrocities against Americans, that is the story that the Left would like to tell, and they facilitated that story by obstructing federal law enforcement. 
 This is the game.
Kimmel continued by lying about the circumstances under which Renee Good was shot: “They won&#8217;t even admit that it was a mistake. They say the Honda SUV Renee Good was driving was weaponized. They say the gun Alex Preti had a license to carry in an open carry state; many of these same people scream very loudly about when it was Kyle Rittenhouse carrying the gun. A gun that Alex Preti did not even draw, did not touch, a gun that was taken from him by one of the agents before he was shot dead by the other ones. They fired ten times on an ICU nurse. They&#8217;re telling us, ‘It was justified, you know.’ Is that the law and order that you voted for?”
Notice what he&#8217;s doing there. He takes some facts and then wraps a giant fiction around them. 
It is true that DHS claimed Renee Good had committed an act of domestic terrorism, and they did the same with Alex Preti.
This is why I said that failures inside the Trump administration have made Democrats’ job easier for them in order to shut down law and order. 
But notice how Kimmel wraps that into a generalized critique of all law and order in the United States, and suggests that the only possible solution is to simply allow our immigration law to go unenforced.
 Kimmel continued: 
<blockquote>“My wife and I, a family in Minneapolis, are afraid to take their kids to school. They&#8217;re afraid to go to work. And I can only imagine how people who aren&#8217;t white feel about this. How does this end? What&#8217;s the plan here? Is the plan to just keep doing this in every city that didn&#8217;t vote for Donald Trump? Does anyone on any side believe this is good leadership?”</blockquote>
What he&#8217;s doing here is also a lie. This is only happening in blue cities. Blue cities are the places that are not working with ICE. Red cities are working with ICE, so it&#8217;s not a problem. Blue cities are not working with ICE, so it is a problem.
This is all incredibly frustrating to watch if you are attempting to be objective-minded about the very difficult realities of enforcing the law, and you recognize that there has been a mechanism set up by blue states in order to obstruct the enforcement of that federal law, and that the people attempting to enforce that law are then blamed when things go wrong.
It&#8217;s deeply, deeply frustrating. 
The problem is that frustration does not change the fact with regard to public opinion. CNN&#8217;s Harry Enten pointed out that the net approval numbers for ICE have plummeted.
This is why yesterday, the Trump administration attempted to change course by honestly assessing what has been going on, recognizing that people are attempting to obstruct the law, and also attempting to change some of the staffing decisions that they have made
Trump is sending the person who should have been in charge all along, border czar Tom Homan, who, since the beginning of this, has been the &#8220;law and order, let the full investigations take place, we&#8217;re enforcing the law&#8221; guy. 
Tom Homan has always been the adult in the room on this policy. 
The Trump administration is reorienting toward the better parts of the administration in terms of handling this and trying to de-escalate the situation.
Whether that de-escalation is possible is going to be, at least in large part, up to the state of Minnesota and the city of Minneapolis. 
Democrats are clearly sensing blood in the water here. They clearly sense momentum, which is why this entire chaos operation run by the Democrats is a disaster area.
If they can politically win by obstructing federal law, that is a massive problem.
But — it&#8217;s quite possible here that the Democrats win the battle but lose the war, meaning that if they win the battle against ICE, if they get Americans to briefly see ICE as the problem and illegal immigration as a secondary issue, if they get all of that to happen in the short term, that may not be the result they want in the long term.
We saw the same exact thing happen in 2020, when the police were treated like an invading army by the Democrats, and for a moment, the police were wildly unpopular. And then it turned out that crime rates radically skyrocketed, and people got mad and turned on the Democrats for that, which is why the Democrats have been underwater on the immigration issue and also on policing for years on end.
Democrats could win the battle against the Trump administration in Minneapolis for the moment, but ultimately lose the war.

The Left’s response to the incident in Minneapolis where an ICE agent shot an anti-ICE protester whom he believed was targeting him with her car is unhinged.
Insane. Totally nuts.
Mayor Jacob Frey put out a <a href="https://x.com/MayorFrey/status/2008945355925364762">statement</a>, saying, “I&#8217;m aware of a shooting involving an ICE agent at 34th Street &amp; Portland. The presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city. We&#8217;re demanding ICE to leave the city immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities.”
Insane and ridiculous. Federal law enforcement can&#8217;t do its job because you have incentivized people to obstruct them, and your solution is “the feds need to leave,” “ICE needs to leave”? Obstructing federal law enforcement in the enforcement of law is a crime.
Frey is a disaster area and has been a disaster area for years.
He held a press conference and <a href="https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/2008973217311150184?s=20">told ICE</a> to “get the f*** out of Minneapolis.”
“We do not want you here,” he continued. “Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety, and you are doing exactly the opposite. People are being hurt. Families are being ripped apart. Long-term Minneapolis residents that have contributed so greatly to our city, to our culture, to our economy are being terrorized, and now somebody is dead.”
He&#8217;s an insane person. What he&#8217;s saying here is crazy. You guys keep saying over and over and over again that ICE agents are the bad guys, and then people attack ICE agents. We&#8217;ve had over 100 reported ramming incidents over the course of the last year in which people have tried to run over ICE agents or hit them with their cars.
And Jacob Frey is saying that the problem here is ICE doing its job? That is nuts. Again, stopping law enforcement from doing its job is borderline criminal activity.
ICE’s job is to enforce the law. Obstructing the law is what causes chaos and distress.
But Frey declared, “They are not here to cause safety in this city. What they are doing is not to provide safety in America. What they are doing is causing chaos and distrust. They&#8217;re ripping families apart. They&#8217;re sowing chaos on our streets and in this case, quite literally killing people.”
This is crazy. It&#8217;s crazy.
It&#8217;s going to get more ICE officers killed, as well as people who assault ICE officers and federal law enforcement. He is creating an incentive structure that justifies violence against law enforcement.

It&#8217;s not just Jacob Frey. It&#8217;s also the ridiculous, corrupt governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, who came out in the aftermath and talked about the patriotic duty to protest, which is a wink, wink, nod, nod at people who have been getting up in the faces of ICE agents.
“I want Minnesotans to hear this from me. The desire to get out and protest and to speak up to this administration of how wrong this is, that that is a patriotic duty at this point in time…” <a href="https://x.com/libbyemmons/status/2009005879836987692?s=46">he said</a>.
It&#8217;s a “patriotic duty at this point in time?” Not only that, he says that he is going to somehow activate the Minnesota National Guard to protect Minnesotans from ICE.
That&#8217;s not legal. Using state law enforcement to obstruct federal law enforcement is a textbook definition of insurrection.
“My primary responsibility as governor is the protection of the people of Minnesota. And you can be assured, whether it&#8217;s the State Patrol or whether it&#8217;s the National Guard, their deployment is there to protect Minnesotans from whatever it is; if it&#8217;s an act of nature, if it&#8217;s a global pandemic or in this case, if it is a rogue federal agent,” he <a href="https://x.com/townhallcom/status/2009006658304053635?s=20">asserted</a>.
I&#8217;m just wondering, how do you propose to use the National Guard to stop “rogue federal agents,” especially when that federal agent appears to have acted within the boundaries of the law?
Walz then <a href="https://x.com/EricLDaugh/status/2009007115835162869?s=20">suggested</a> to Minnesotans that the move must be made to stop President Trump from invoking the Insurrection Act, implying, “Don&#8217;t riot, because if you do, Trump is going to send in more force.”
That’s true, but he doesn&#8217;t say, “Don&#8217;t riot because rioting is wrong,” he says, “Don&#8217;t riot because it might lead President Trump to execute legal rights.”
“Minnesotans, don&#8217;t take the bait,” he said. “Do not take the bait. Do not allow them to deploy federal troops into here. Do not allow them to invoke the Insurrection Act. Do not allow them to declare martial law. Do not allow them to lie about the security and the decency of this state. And let this investigation play itself out.”
“To Americans who are watching this, if you&#8217;re in Portland or you&#8217;re in LA, or you&#8217;re in Chicago or you&#8217;re wherever they&#8217;re coming next, stand with us,” <a href="https://x.com/HouseGOP/status/2009016484232851623?s=20">he said</a>. “Stand with us against this.”
Last night, Jimmy Kimmel, the man who is the apotheosis of bad taste, came in from left field in order to encapsulate the radical Left’s take on this situation. He never misses when it comes to missing. Kimmel decided to up the ante <a href="https://youtu.be/x03ZxnzfgNA">by suggesting</a> that the president of the United States would like to murder you.
“I know what they&#8217;re doing. They&#8217;re trying out a new slogan: Donald J. Trump is going to kill you,” he said. “This maniac, he isn&#8217;t just killing people overseas. An ICE agent today shot and killed an unarmed 37-year-old woman during an ICE operation in Minneapolis. They&#8217;re there under the guise of protecting us.”
This is insane — and dangerous. When you go around saying the president of the United States is legitimately trying to murder people, and then you link that to this ICE shooting, you&#8217;re putting a target on the back of the people that you&#8217;re talking about.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez <a href="https://x.com/Acyn/status/2009055556431171976?s=20">said</a>, “But we have now seen and what we are seeing is that ICE is not just becoming an anti-immigrant force in this country. It is becoming an anti-civilian paramilitary organization. People are getting taken off of the streets for exercising their free speech rights.”
It&#8217;s an anti-civilian paramilitary organization? Why are people attacking it? Maybe it&#8217;s because you keep saying that over and over. You&#8217;re going to get people killed. 
What&#8217;s sad about this is that Jacob Frey predicted this <a href="https://x.com/BreitbartNews/status/2004254222624477618?s=20">back in December</a>. He suggested that someone was going to get seriously injured or killed. He was right, but that’s because the Left keeps lying about what ICE does.
“I am increasingly concerned because of the chaos that is being caused by these ICE agents, that somebody is going to get seriously injured or killed, whether that is an ICE agent or a community member, we all know the tinderbox that could explode,” he predicted.
Perhaps he should stop creating more tinder for the tinderbox. That might be one of the solutions he could think about.

But this is what the Left has created: a climate in which you are supposed to go and stop ICE agents from performing their basic law enforcement function.
That leads exactly to these sorts of confusing, difficult, and deadly situations. That&#8217;s what leads to all of this. The Left bears absolute culpability for raising the ante over and over and over again by calling law enforcement officers the “enemy.”
There is some dark irony to the fact that two days ago was January 6, and all we heard about from Democrats in Congress was that “federal law enforcement are the best among us and must be protected,” and January 6 was proof that you should never assault an officer.
I agree with that, but where’s the consistency? You also shouldn&#8217;t do it when it comes to assaulting ICE officers.
Or hitting the gas when an ICE officer is in front of your car.
So Democrats are back to “federal law enforcement are the bad guys.” Federal law enforcement are the people who have to be “stopped at all costs.” They&#8217;re an “anti-civilian paramilitary organization.”
This is insane. People will get killed. It will be ICE officers and people who attempt to impede ICE officers in their function of the law and try to hurt them.
Stop ramping it up. Stop it. Stop it right now. It is a true act of malicious horror to do what the Left has been doing with regard to impeding ICE operations or other law enforcement operations, and suggesting that the men and women of ICE are the enemy.
It leads to precisely this sort of situation.

Late-night host and chronic Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferer Jimmy Kimmel weighed in on the chaos that erupted in Minneapolis on Wednesday after an ICE agent fatally shot a woman who federal officials say tried to plow him over with her car.
The comedian held up a red T-shirt during his monologue, emblazoned with the words “Donald J. Trump Is Gonna Kill You,” and suggested that this was the “new slogan” for MAGA supporters. Kimmel went on to disparage Trump’s response to the shooting, saying, “This maniac, he’s not just killing people overseas.” 
“An ICE agent today shot and killed an unarmed 37-year-old woman during an ICE operation in Minneapolis. They’re there under the guise of protecting us,” he went on. Kimmel then shared the president’s response on social media and disagreed with Trump’s assessment that the woman was acting in a “disorderly” manner and “obstructing and resisting.”
“Now, I saw this video,” Kimmel said. “It didn’t look like anybody got run over to me. It looked to me like a woman got scared, tried to drive away, and they shot her.” He added that it will be “for the court to decide,” but went on to share a clip of Minneapolis Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey telling ICE to “get the f*ck out&#8221; of the city.
“That’s the shirt I want to see,” Kimmel said, prompting someone to throw him another shirt with those words on it. “Get the f*** out of all of these cities,” the late-night host show repeated.

Video from Wednesday&#8217;s fatal shooting shows ICE agents approach the woman’s car, with one agent attempting to open the driver’s side door. Another agent approached the front of the vehicle, and the woman began to drive toward him before shots were fired. The agent near the front of the vehicle appeared to be clipped by the car.

Leftist leaders insist killing was unjustified, while conservatives argue that her actions led to her death.
“The gaslighting is off the charts and I&#8217;m having none of it. This guy was doing his job,” Vice President JD Vance <a href="https://x.com/JDVance/status/2009255599268130914">posted</a> on X on Thursday morning. “She tried to stop him from doing his job. When he approached her car, she tried to hit him.”
“A tragedy? Absolutely. But a tragedy that falls on this woman and all of the radicals who teach people that immigration is the one type of law that rioters are allowed to interfere with,” he added.

The year in pop culture gave us reality stars smiting governors, a Coldplay concert going viral for nothing music-related, and a pop star’s career crashing upon re-entry.
And even though late-night TV had begun to fizzle out years ago, in 2025, Stephen Colbert and co. watched their gigs finally go up in smoke.
It’s impossible to look back on the last 12 months and not gawk at late-night propagandists getting their just desserts.
For Colbert of “The Late Show” fame, that meant getting a time-release pink slip. Someone finally crunched some serious numbers behind the scenes and realized Colbert’s DNC agenda is costing CBS a pretty penny … <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/go-f-yourself-colbert-unleashes-anti-trump-tirade-amid-report-his-show-loses-40m-annually">$40 million a year</a>, to be precise.
So Colbert was forced to read his professional obituary on-air. And the show won’t even go on without him. Come May, “The Late Show” heads to the dustbin of history alongside eight-track tapes and TiVo devices.

Fellow progressive Jimmy Kimmel was spared that fate, but not by much. The ABC host insinuated MAGA nation fired the bullet that killed conservative hero Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10, setting off a series of events that led to Kimmel’s week-long suspension.
He got his job back and a tepid show of support via a one-year contract extension. The damage was done. Kimmel’s “Man Show” past and irreverent shtick is no more. Now, he’s more likely to cry on-camera than make us howl.
His only hope is that Colbert’s audience tunes in for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” come May, delaying his show’s inevitable cancellation.
On the film front, theaters once again struggled to reclaim their pre-pandemic mojo. The box office receipts looked awfully similar to 2024, hardly a golden age for theatrical attendance.
Films like “Superman,” “Thunderbolts” and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” failed to duplicate that ol’ superhero magic, leaving it to video game adaptations like “A Minecraft Movie” to pick up the slack.
At least we weren’t subjected to <a href="https://variety.com/2024/film/news/skibidi-toilet-michael-bay-movie-adam-goodman-1236077245/">“Skibidi Toilet: The Movie</a>.” Not yet, at least. 
Meanwhile, Hollywood’s far-Left agenda got a workout via “One Battle After Another.” The Paul Thomas Anderson screed so overtly progressive even some Antifa types might cry foul.
And, of course, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/is-the-best-picture-race-already-over">it’s bound for Oscar glory come March</a>.
Speaking of Oscars, 2025 saw an awards hopeful crash and burn in record time. The woke musical comedy “Emilia Pérez” seemed likely to dominate awards season until we learned some of the less-than-progressive comments made by its trans lead, Karla Sofia Gascón.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce finally made their courtship official, but the best news for football fans is that his Kansas City Chiefs missed the playoffs. That means no more obligatory “Taylor is crying/cheering/laughing” shots interrupting the NFL action.

And he’s positioned to strike gold again in 2026 with the release of the next “Yellowstone” spinoff, “Y: Marshals,” starring Luke Grimes.

The devastating Palisades fires should have roasted Governor Gavin Newsom’s political fortunes for good. Not quite, but reality show alum Spencer Pratt made it his mission to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/reality-star-spencer-pratt-slams-california-plan-to-build-low-income-housing-in-fire-ravaged-areas">shame both Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass</a> for their extreme incompetence.
“Having the people in charge of the town they just let burn down make any decisions in rebuilding it … seems crazy to me,” Pratt said in one of many well-earned rants. Podcaster Adam Carolla piled on, filing <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8IKPIDVIoY">vlog posts</a> decrying the lack of progress on the home building front all year long.
HBO Max’s “The White Lotus” became the show everyone talked about at the cyber-water cooler – AKA Elon Musk’s X. This season’s ick factor likely played a part, thanks to guest star <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/sam-rockwell-white-lotus-monologue-acting-coach-1236175014/">Sam Rockwell’s disturbing revelations</a> to that <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-features/the-white-lotus-brothers-kiss-season-3-1236164899/">brotherly buss</a> with Ah-nold’s son getting too much attention.
And while the culture remains hopelessly divided on political grounds, Americans did unite to mock a Coldplay concert moment that went insanely viral. A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/viral-coldplay-kiss-cam-woman-speaks-out-is-furious-with-gwyneth-paltrow">Kiss Cam caught Kristin Cabot</a> canoodling with her boss, Andrew Byron, a moment that proved inescapable for anyone remotely online.

Netflix remained atop the streaming heap, and its plans to swallow Warner Bros. will have sizable implications for Hollywood and beyond. The streamer’s signature show, a four-episode saga dubbed “Adolescence,” caught everyone by surprise. Each installment, shot in a single take, captured a young boy in the weeks following his arrest for a shocking murder. Must-see TV? Perhaps, but it left audiences feeling queasy for the next generation.
If that wasn’t enough, 2025 had us focus on the Sean Combs trial. Sure, we cracked wise about baby oil sales, but the particulars of P. Diddy’s life and alleged crimes made us wonder what else is happening behind the scenes in Hollywood that we won’t hear about for years to come?

And then there’s Katy Perry.
The “I Kissed a Girl” superstar headed into space, or at least a small part of it, via Jeff Bezos’ New Shepard rocket. The experiment became social media fodder, in part due to the “astronaut&#8217;s’” inflated sense of self.
Perry might have been better off staying in orbit. She <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Culture/katy-perry-experiences-frightening-onstage-mishap-concert-san/story?id=123894140">experienced not one</a> but <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1420864/katy-perrys-bloody-knee-injury-photo">two</a> concert accidents, watched her choreography get roasted on social media, and capped 2025 by winning a legal victory over a <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/11/28/entertainment/katy-perry-to-receive-1-8m-payout-from-dying-veteran-in-years-long-battle-over-montecito-mansion/">dying military veteran</a>.
She’ll be lucky to Dance with Any Stars come 2026.

It’s common knowledge that late-night shows skew to the Left, but the extent of the issue is far worse than most people realize. 
A report <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/12/20/us-news/late-night-is-getting-more-radical-with-number-of-jokes-targeting-right-up-10-in-2025-to-92/?utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_social_post_id=628779175&amp;utm_social_handle_id=17469289&amp;utm_source=twitter">published</a> by The New York Post last week found that 92% of jokes over the past year have been targeted at conservatives, representing a 10% increase compared to last year. The report was based on an analysis from media watchdog NewsBusters, which sifted through 818 episodes put out by the major mainstream late-night hosts, including Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers.
Those shows included 197 liberal guests and only two who were conservative, Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld and economist Oren Cass. 
NewsBusters found that Kimmel was the worst offender, making jokes targeting conservatives more than 3,000 times and focusing most of his ire on President Donald Trump. Of those jokes, 1,668 were about the sitting president. 
Other late-night hosts also mocked the commander-in-chief. Across the spectrum of hosts, there were more than 7,000 Trump jokes over the course of this year, representing a big uptick from last year. 
“The numbers don’t lie,” Media Research Center president David Bozell said, per the Post. “So-called late-night comedians are part of the entire elitist media complex that has fueled hatred of conservatives for years.”
It’s an interesting approach to take in the wake of Trump’s massive victory in the 2024 election. Late night is not doing well, and it shows. CBS announced in July that it was canceling “The Late Show” after the upcoming season, which inspired outsized reactions from the left. The network described the move as a “purely financial decision.” A report stated that the program was losing $40 million annually.

Colbert went off on an expletive-laced tirade during his first monologue following the announcement, blasting President Donald Trump and CBS. Colbert mentioned how the network’s parent company, Paramount Global, paid Trump a $16 million settlement after being accused of election interference.
Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show saw a sharp spike in viewership after he returned from being taken off the air briefly in September. Kimmel was taken off the air for a short time after comments he made about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The saga began when Kimmel was accused of slandering conservatives when he suggested Kirk’s assassin was part of the “MAGA gang,” despite authorities saying otherwise. “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said at the time.
Kimmel’s post-suspension return drew a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jimmy-kimmels-ratings-spike-crashes-back-down-to-his-usual-terrible-numbers">record-breaking</a> 6.3 million viewers, more than triple his regular audience. A few days later, those numbers had dropped by 64%, leveling off at 2.3 million.

Former vice president and word salad expert Kamala Harris delivered what may have been her most convoluted remarks yet during an appearance on &#8220;Jimmy Kimmel Live!&#8221; this week.
Much of the discussion was devoted to attacking President Donald Trump, but the conversation briefly turned to the Epstein files. When Kimmel asked why the Biden administration failed to release the documents when it had the chance, Harris responded with a rambling answer that managed to use many words while offering little clarity.
“To give you an answer that will not satisfy your curiosity, I will tell you, perhaps to our damage, um, but we strongly and rightly believed that there should be an absolute separation between what we wanted as an administration and what the Department of Justice did. We absolutely adhered to that, and it was right to do that.&#8221;

“The Justice Department would make its decisions independent of any political or personal, uh, vendetta or concern that we may have and that&#8217;s the way it worked,” she concluded, as Kimmel quickly went to break.

The conversation comes after Harris mentioned her intention to run again in 2028, following her crushing defeat to Trump in 2024, which saw her earn just 226 electoral votes to Trump’s 312. While she stopped short of confirming she would seek her party&#8217;s nomination, the former vice president told the BBC that she would “possibly” be the first female president.
&#8220;I am not done,&#8221; Harris said during an interview in October. &#8220;I have lived my entire career as a life of service and it&#8217;s in my bones.&#8221;
Even far-Left Democrat apologists have been asking about the Biden administration failing to release the files. Ex-MSNBC host Joy Reid blasted former Attorney General Merrick Garland for the same reason. 
“I don’t understand why he escapes the smoke. Even the Epstein files thing. I’m like, wait a minute. You’re telling me nine months into this administration, the podcast guys are claiming they caught the — now, I don’t know if this young man is the person that put the pipe bombs … but I know they said we solved the case in nine months,” Reid <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ex-msnbc-host-finally-asks-why-merrick-garland-didnt-release-epstein-files?author=Virginia+Kruta&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Ex-MSNBC+Host+Finally+Asks+Why+Merrick+Garland+Didn%E2%80%99t+Release+Epstein+Files">said</a> during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” earlier this month.
“Merrick Garland was there for four years. What were you doing?” she added. “The Epstein files. Merrick, what were you doing? For four years? You had the same evidence, the same files. Why didn’t you release them? Merrick Garland did, to me, nothing for four years. He might as well not have been there.”

Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) doubled down on the viral video he made with five of his colleagues, saying that he had no intention of backing off despite a pending inquiry into his comments.
Kelly addressed the issue during an appearance on &#8220;Jimmy Kimmel Live,&#8221; telling the late-night host that he stood by what he&#8217;d said in the video, which he claimed was intended to caution members of the military to follow only lawful orders from President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration.

&#8220;I mean, you can&#8217;t keep track of this guy and what he says,&#8221; Kelly said, apparently referring to Trump. &#8220;I&#8217;ll tell you this though: I&#8217;m not backing down.&#8221;
The audience cheered, and Kelly continued, &#8220;I mean, we said something very simple. Members of the military need to follow the law. We wanted to say that we have their backs.&#8221;

What Kelly left out was the fact that in the video, clearly implied in their admonitions to &#8220;only obey lawful orders,&#8221; was the notion that President Trump either already had or would certainly issue one or more orders that were not lawful — and that they should be actively looking for them.
War Secretary <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pete-hegseth-unloads-on-insurrection-video-a-politically-motivated-influence-operation">Pete Hegseth</a> referred to it as &#8220;a politically-motivated influence operation&#8221; and argued that it was designed to sow doubt in the minds of service members and plant the seeds of insurrection. He, along with others, noted that Kelly was the only one of the &#8220;Seditious Six&#8221; who had retired from military service and was still subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and could therefore be returned to active duty to face repercussions for his actions. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/politics/call-for-rebellion-stephen-miller-scorches-dems-for-pushing-insurrection-against-trumps-military-orders/">described</a> it as &#8220;insurrection.&#8221;
Kimmel, only too happy to carry Kelly&#8217;s water, lamented the fact that the Arizona senator would now have to take time away from serving the people of his state to hire attorneys and deal with the consequences of his actions.
&#8220;[You have to] consult with lawyers, and have to deal with this when you&#8217;re first of all working for the people of Arizona, the people of the United States,&#8221; Kimmel said. &#8220;Now you actually have to spend your time — are you actually, like, worried about this?&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;ve been through a lot more challenging things than this,&#8221; Kelly said, waving away the concern. &#8220;What I&#8217;m worried about is the reaction and what this transmits to the military and the public, which is basically, &#8216;Shut up, and listen to that guy.'&#8221;
Kelly continued down that same path, noting that service members swear an oath to the Constitution while insinuating that President Trump — who also swore such an oath — was likely to violate that and order them to do the same.
