Some of the most revealing moments from the sordid saga of Jeffrey Epstein came when government officials were asked direct questions, then ducked them without any real explanation. Case in point: Five years ago, the Labor Secretary at the time, Alex Acosta, was speaking to reporters about his handling of the first Epstein criminal case from 2008, when Acosta was a U.S. Attorney in Florida. This was the press conference right before Acosta&#8217;s resignation as Labor Secretary. For roughly an hour, Acosta tried to explain why his office had offered an extremely lenient <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/labor-secretary-to-hold-news-conference-to-defend-himself-amid-outcry-over-handling-of-epstein-plea-deal/2019/07/10/b136b9a4-a321-11e9-b7b4-95e30869bd15_story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">plea deal</a> to Epstein — one that offered immunity to his co-conspirators, and barely required Epstein to spend any time in a jail cell. Acosta was generally responsive to most questions during this press conference. In fact, at one point, he waved off his assistant who wanted to end the press conference early.
But there was one question that Alex Acosta very clearly did not want to answer. It concerned <a href="https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/i-was-told-epstein-belonged-to-intelligence-and-to-leave-it-alone" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reporting</a> in the Daily Beast that, in a discussion with Trump administration officials before his appointment as Labor Secretary, Alex Acosta had said that Epstein, &#8220;belonged to intelligence.&#8221; In other words, Acosta had reportedly suggested to the Trump team that, when he was the U.S. Attorney, he was told by senior U.S. government officials to go easy on Epstein so that he could stay out of jail. Presumably, the idea was that Epstein could then continue connecting various powerful figures to his sex-trafficking ring. That would, in turn, benefit U.S. intelligence agencies in some way. Maybe they might want to blackmail Epstein&#8217;s associates or collect information about them, for example.
Here&#8217;s how Alex Acosta answered — or rather, didn&#8217;t answer — a reporter&#8217;s question about the Daily Beast&#8217;s reporting:

That wasn&#8217;t exactly a denial. Instead of saying, &#8220;No, I wasn&#8217;t told to go easy on Jeffrey Epstein because he &#8216;belonged to intelligence,'&#8221; Alex Acosta said that department policy prevented him from offering any kind of response. It&#8217;s not hard to conclude that Acosta was hiding something. That&#8217;s especially true since, according to public documents in Epstein&#8217;s plea deal, it&#8217;s stated that Epstein had <a href="https://x.com/TheViewFromLL2/status/1149424300438577153" target="_blank" rel="noopener">agreed</a> to provide, &#8220;information to the FBI.&#8221;
The government&#8217;s handling of Epstein&#8217;s case raised the obvious question of how many other deviants like Epstein might enjoy protection from the government, in one way or the other. How many other sex traffickers have been operating with impunity because the government is deliberately looking the other way?

That&#8217;s a particularly important question to be asking after what happened yesterday involving Sean Combs — a.k.a. Diddy, a.k.a. Puff Daddy, a.k.a. P. Diddy. The U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York held a press conference announcing a series of criminal charges against Combs, including racketeering and sex trafficking. And by the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s own admission, these alleged offenses have been occurring for a very long time, and often involved something that Combs called &#8220;freak-offs.&#8221; Watch:

According to the U.S. Attorney, there&#8217;s overwhelming evidence that these illegal &#8220;freak-offs&#8221; occurred, such as text messages, videos, and more than a thousand bottles of baby oil and lubricant. As soon as the feds executed the search warrants earlier this year on two of Combs&#8217; mansions, the evidence was all there. And according to the indictment that was unsealed yesterday, there&#8217;s also a lot of evidence that Sean Combs has been committing serious crimes for the past decade, right <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/u/1/d/1iSrpU9eql323koZY7Omi0TmOWzrIOpSQ/view" target="_blank" rel="noopener">out in the open</a>: &#8220;Physical abuse by Sean Combs &#8230;. was recurrent and widely known. On numerous occasions from at least in or about 2009 and continuing for years, Combs assaulted women by, among other things, striking, punching, dragging, throwing objects at, and kicking them.&#8221; That&#8217;s directly from the Grand Jury indictment.

What&#8217;s not stated in the Grand Jury indictment is why this &#8220;widely known&#8221; conduct was ignored for so long. Why wasn&#8217;t Sean Combs charged criminally for any of this conduct at any point until yesterday? Why was he allowed to allegedly commit crimes that were, &#8220;recurrent and widely known&#8221; ever since 2009? As it happens, that was the very first question that the U.S. Attorney received at yesterday&#8217;s press conference. Here&#8217;s how the U.S. Attorney responded:

Like Alex Acosta, he has no answer whatsoever. But this is the single most important question he was asked during the entire press conference. How exactly can people have any confidence in the government, or federal prosecutors, if — by their own admission — it takes them well over a decade to bring charges when someone is allegedly committing crimes that are &#8220;recurrent and widely known&#8221;? Why exactly shouldn&#8217;t we believe that P. Diddy was being protected for some reason, just like Jeffrey Epstein was apparently protected? 
At this point, the burden of proof is not on us to answer that question. The burden is on the government.
It certainly looks as though there was ample reason to at least investigate Combs, going back a long time. There&#8217;s so much creepy and inappropriate footage involving Sean Combs that we could spend all day going through it. These kinds of videos have been all over the Internet for years. Did anyone in the government follow up on any of this? Did they ask anyone any questions about them? Did they apply for any kind of search warrant to look closer at Sean Combs&#8217; text messages, or to look for incriminating evidence on his properties? If not, why not? How exactly did that footage stay hidden for so long — long enough that the statute of limitations ran out, and local prosecutors couldn&#8217;t bring charges anymore? That&#8217;s the kind of question that a lot of people in the entertainment industry have been asking for a very long time. When there are multiple videos where you appear to be committing a crime, or engaging in very bizarre and disturbing conduct, then under normal circumstances you&#8217;d expect some follow-up. But there wasn&#8217;t any follow-up here. For his part, Kanye West repeatedly called Sean Combs a &#8220;fed&#8221; — both in interviews, and in text messages — probably because there didn&#8217;t appear to be any other rational explanation for how he could get away with this for more than a decade. How can anyone engage in conduct like this, without suffering any consequences for it, for so long?
One theory is that, like Epstein, Sean Combs was very well-connected with powerful people in Washington. In April of 2020, for example, Kamala Harris tweeted out <a href="https://x.com/KamalaHarris/status/1248624302682828802" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this message</a>: 
&#8220;Thank you, @Diddy, for hosting this town hall last night. There&#8217;s a lot at stake for our communities right now and it&#8217;s critical we bring to the forefront how coronavirus is perpetuating racial inequality and health disparities.&#8221;
So Sean Combs was helping to push Democrats&#8217; messaging that COVID was racist. This was during the summer of 2020, when calling everything racist was the Democrats&#8217; official campaign strategy. Meanwhile, other prominent &#8220;entertainers&#8221; — people like Jimmy Kimmel — suggested that Sean Combs could serve as president of the United States. After all, he&#8217;s not morally bankrupt like Donald Trump, right? Watch:

One of the main takeaways from this is that the entertainment industry is full of extravagantly degenerate scumbags. These are people engaging in debauchery and opulence once reserved for the most corrupt Roman emperors. Diddy produced some low IQ gangsta rap in the 90s and found himself in the same position. This is why so much of what the entertainment industry produces is garbage. It’s made by morally reprobate parasites. These aren’t flawed artistic geniuses like we’ve had in the past, but vacuous airheads who’ve figured out how to sell trash to an audience even more vapid than they are. 
Jimmy Kimmel probably knew Sean Combs was a piece of garbage when he did this interview. But Jimmy Kimmel is also a piece of garbage, along with pretty much everyone else in the industry. So we get clips like that one.

Meanwhile, the &#8220;#MeToo&#8221; movement successfully canceled a lot of guys for some bad dates, but somehow it missed Sean Combs. Somehow he flew under the radar for more than a decade, even though, according to yesterday&#8217;s indictment, he wasn&#8217;t particularly good at hiding what he was doing. If those details are true, Sean Combs is an Epstein-level monster, if not worse. And yet no one did anything about it.
The question now is whether Sean Combs will meet the same fate as Jeffrey Epstein. Combs was just denied bail, even though his defense team offered to put up a $50 million bond, secured by his various properties. That&#8217;s a sign that he&#8217;ll be staying in jail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for a very long time. So as with Epstein, the government is now bringing down the hammer on Sean Combs, abruptly and without any real explanation. And if the Epstein case is any indication, we probably will never get an explanation.
All we can say with certainty is that a lot of people in Sean Combs&#8217; orbit are probably very nervous right now. And in turn, that should make Sean Combs himself very nervous. Five years after the death of Jeffrey Epstein, we&#8217;re no closer to getting a full explanation of his crimes or who he was associated with. Instead, with the arrest of Sean Combs and the sudden disclosure of his &#8220;freak offs&#8221;, there&#8217;s reason to think that yet another massive coverup is already underway.

Newly released grand jury documents in the saga of Jeffrey Epstein reveal that Florida prosecutors were aware that Epstein had raped two teenage girls – two years before offering him a sweetheart deal that allowed him to escape serious punishment.
The 2006 <a href="https://www.mypalmbeachclerk.com/home/showpublisheddocument/4194/638554423710170000" target="_blank" rel="noopener">grand jury documents</a>, released Monday, include the testimony of two girls who each described being paid to give Epstein massages and then engaged in sexual activity with the late millionaire and financier while they were underage. The documents also include testimony from police officers who interviewed many more girls who alleged similar acts with Epstein.
But two years later, in 2008, Epstein was able to reach a deal with South Florida federal prosecutors that resulted in him pleading guilty to just one state charge of procuring a person under 18 for prostitution and solicitation of prostitution. He served 13 months in a work-release program, which allowed him to leave jail and go to his office nearly every day. He also served a year of house arrest and was required to register as a sex offender, the Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/jeffrey-epstein-grand-jury-transcript-florida-b5dce49bdd9bcbce2969107919ddc2d0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The deal had long been criticized as too lenient, eventually leading to the 2019 resignation of then-President Donald Trump’s labor secretary, Alex Acosta, who had signed off on it a decade earlier.
Brad Edwards, who is representing many of Epstein’s alleged victims, told the AP that former Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer, who led the grand jury hearing, “took the case to the Grand Jury with an agenda — to return minimal, if any, criminal charges against Jeffrey Epstein.”
“A fraction of the evidence was presented, in a misleading way, and the Office portrayed the victims as criminals,” Edwards told the outlet. “It is so sad, the number of victims Epstein was able to abuse because the State carried water for him when they had a chance to put him away.”
The grand jury proceeding took less than four hours. The first witness called was Palm Beach Police Detective Joseph Recarey, who led the investigation into Epstein’s dealings with underage girls and had interviewed more than a dozen alleged victims. Recarey explained that police received a report from the stepmother of a 14-year-old girl, whom the mother said had received $300 to massage an older man on Palm Beach Island.
That girl, who was 16 at the time of her testimony, was then called. She said that an older friend had recruited her to go to Epstein’s mansion the year earlier, just before her 15th birthday, and was asked to strip down to her underwear before Epstein entered the room. She testified that she then massaged Epstein and agreed to allow him to use a vibrator on her for an extra $100 in addition to the $200 she was promised for the massage.
On the stand, she admitted to lying about her age and telling Epstein she was 18, which she said she was told to do by his assistant. Her parents found out about the encounter after she got into a fight at school when another girl called her a prostitute. A school official later found $300 in her purse.
The girl and the other alleged victim were both painted as prostitutes during their testimony, with a juror asking the younger girl if she had &#8220;any idea deep down inside of you that…what you&#8217;re doing is wrong?&#8221; The girl responded by saying, &#8220;Yeah, I did.” The juror then suggested the girl was “well aware that what you&#8217;re doing to your own reputation,&#8221; to which the girl responded, “Yes, I do.”
The juror then asked if the girl was “aware that you committed a crime?”
&#8220;Now I am. I didn&#8217;t know it was a crime when I was doing it,&#8221; the girl replied. &#8220;Now, I guess it&#8217;s prostitution or something like that.&#8221;
The only other alleged victim to testify said that she had gone to Epstein’s home about 10 times, starting when she was 16, and that he was “well aware of my age from the very beginning.”
Later in her testimony, a prosecutor asked her if she understood that “you in effect were committing prostitution yourself?”

For 16 years, the grand jury documents behind Jeffrey Epstein’s 2006 prosecution for sex trafficking have been sealed, but on Monday, a Palm Beach, Florida, judge unsealed the transcripts.
Epstein killed himself in 2019 while in federal custody awaiting trial for sex-trafficking, but a decade earlier he was given a sweetheart deal on similar allegations and served just 13 months in a work-release program after pleading guilty. That deal was reached in 2008, two years after a grand jury was assembled to determine whether Epstein would be indicted on charges he solicited and procured minors for prostitution.
The <a href="https://www.mypalmbeachclerk.com/home/showpublisheddocument/4194/638554423710170000" target="_blank" rel="noopener">176-page grand jury document</a> released this week contains new information about Epstein’s crimes, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/epstein-grand-jury-records-released-describe-traffickers-network-grooming-underage-girls" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>, including specifics about how he paid teenagers who recruited other teens for his sex crimes, the testimony of his victims, and detailed allegations of his rapes.
Circuit Judge Luis Delgado, in his order releasing the grand jury documents, said the contents would be disturbing.
&#8220;It is widely accepted that Epstein is a notorious and serial pedophile,&#8221; the order says. &#8220;The testimony taken by the Grand Jury concerns activity ranging from grossly unacceptable to rape – all of the conduct at issue is sexually deviant, disgusting, and criminal. The details in the record will be outrageous to decent people.&#8221;
Palm Beach County court clerk and comptroller Joseph Abruzzo <a href="https://www.mypalmbeachclerk.com/Home/Components/News/News/734/16" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the release of the documents just before 3 p.m. Monday, noting that a new Florida law had just gone into effect that allows the release of grand jury documents in certain cases.
“It is our hope that the release of these records gives peace of mind to our community and gives Jeffrey Epstein’s victims the closure they deserve,” Abruzzo said in the statement, which also included a graphic content warning above the PDF file of the documents.
The documents were released in response to a motion from the Palm Beach Post and other news outlets seeking to unseal the grand jury testimony, ABC News <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/newly-released-grand-jury-documents-epstein-case-reveal/story?id=111599027">reported</a>. The documents are meant to provide answers to how a grand jury could return an indictment on just one count of solicitation of a minor, yet the documents don&#8217;t reveal what charging options were presented to the grand jury.
Epstein’s crimes began to unravel in the early part of the millennium when two girls at a local Palm Beach high school got into a fight after one called the other a prostitute, the documents revealed. A school official later found $300 in the accused girl’s purse, which was given to her by Epstein, according to the grand jury documents.
The girl, 14, testified before the grand jury that she had been told to lie about her life story and say she was 18 years old in order to get $200 after giving Epstein a massage. The girl described how, for the massage, she was asked to strip down to her underwear and was then sexually abused by Epstein.
Before long, more victims would be revealed.
Epstein’s suicide in 2019 has been the subject of questions and conspiracy theories, with some suggesting he couldn’t have killed himself and was possibly murdered.

Actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kevin-spacey">Kevin Spacey</a> became emotional during an interview with British TV personality <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/piers-morgan">Piers Morgan</a>, saying he was broke and owed millions in legal fees.
The 64-year-old “House of Cards” star has been involved in a number of sexual assault <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lawsuit">lawsuits</a> over the past few years. Even though Spacey won some, he said they left him with no money. His conversation with Morgan was the first long interview he’s given since charges were filed, per <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/kevin-spacey-broke-epstein-piers-morgan-interview-b2561049.html">The Independent</a>. 
“It&#8217;s been a very interesting and, I think, an important couple of weeks where I&#8217;ve had an opportunity to start to be able to talk about things that, well, for me, in some cases I&#8217;ve never talked about before, and to take accountability for those places where I have behaved badly, and to hopefully put some facts out there that maybe a great majority of the public don&#8217;t know about,” he told Morgan on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.” 
Morgan asked what the actor meant by “behaved badly.” Spacey replied, “Pushing the boundaries. Being too handsy. Touching someone sexually in a way that I didn’t know at the time they didn’t want.”
Spacey broke down in tears when Morgan asked where he was living. He mentioned that his house in Baltimore was being foreclosed on and sold at auction due to his legal debts.

When Morgan asked if he was facing bankruptcy, Spacey said, “There’s been a couple of times when I thought I was going to file, but we’ve managed to sort of dodge it, at least as of today.” 
When asked how much money he had, the actor said “none” and then clarified, “I still owe a lot of legal bills” to the tune of “many millions.”
“I’m not quite sure where I’m going to live now,” Spacey said. “I’ve spent so many years not wanting to talk about myself and avoiding questions about my personal life and my sexuality,” the actor, who is gay, added. 
“I’ve come out of all this not bitter, not angry, not resentful,” the actor told Morgan. 
When the interviewer asked him about flaws, Spacey responded, “There were bouts with arrogance. There were bouts with ego…My goal is now to prove that I am a man of good character.”

Spacey also discussed his connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which he claims has been overblown. He tried to justify a photograph of him sitting with Epstein’s confidante Ghislaine Maxwell on the thrones at Buckingham Palace in 2002.
He said President Bill Clinton had invited him on a humanitarian aid trip to South Africa.
“I didn’t want to be around [Epstein] because I felt he put the president at risk on that trip to South Africa, because there were these young girls,” Spacey told Morgan. “We were like, ‘Who is this guy?’”
“So, we flew then to London, and the president said to me, ‘Before we leave tomorrow, do you want to come? I am going to go to Buckingham Palace tomorrow to see Prince Andrew, do you want to come?’” he continued. “I said, ‘Sure.’”
He said that’s when the photo was taken. “This Maxwell woman, she was one of many people to sit down next to me in that throne room,” Spacey continued. “I have no relationship with her. I had no relationship with [Epstein]. I mean he’s not my friend. I am not a confidant. I’ve never spent time with him.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law this week that authorizes the release of grand jury documents from the state&#8217;s 2006 criminal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
The Palm Beach Police Department asked the state attorney in the case to charge Epstein with multiple felonies, including unlawful sexual activity with a minor and lewd or lascivious molestation, the governor&#8217;s office said in a statement. &#8220;Rather than charge Epstein directly, the State Attorney at the time chose to present evidence to a grand jury — ensuring the names of those involved and the details of the accusations were kept sealed.&#8221;
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, which included appearances and remarks from some of Epstein&#8217;s victims, DeSantis said: &#8220;Justice delayed is justice denied, and I think in many respects this whole ordeal has proven that to be true.&#8221;
&#8220;The legislature and I agreed that there needs to be a mechanism in some of these rare circumstances where people can get the truth, and where we can try to pursue justice,&#8221; the governor said. &#8220;And so we&#8217;re now sitting here decades later, and you&#8217;ve had Epstein and then Maxwell is actually in prison in Florida. And yet nothing else has ever happened with any of this. How is that possible given the magnitude of what was going on? And what was going on in Florida was only a fraction of what was happening because you had activities and abuse in New York City, in the Virgin Islands. And this was a massive, massive operation here that was targeting these very, very young girls.&#8221;

DeSantis said that the sweetheart deal that Epstein secured from prosecutors was something that an average person would never have been able to do and that Epstein got it because he was &#8220;very rich and well-connected.&#8221;
The governor&#8217;s office <a href="https://www.flgov.com/2024/02/29/governor-desantis-signs-legislation-to-authorize-the-release-of-jeffrey-epstein-grand-jury-documents/">said</a> that HB 117 will allow the disclosure of grand jury material in any case if the following conditions are met:

DeSantis Signs Legislation Authorizing Release Of Jeffrey Epstein Documents

Florida Governor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ron-desantis" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ron DeSantis</a> said on Wednesday that he is going to sign a bill into law that will release the grand jury material from the state&#8217;s 2006 investigation into the child sex predator.
The legislation, which was unanimously passed by the Florida legislature, would release documents that could explain why the grand jury only returned minimal charges against Epstein in 2006.
Epstein later pled guilty in 2008 to state charges of procuring a person under 18 for prostitution and felony solicitation of prostitution, and was only sentenced to 18 months in jail where he was let out of jail on a daily basis for work release.
&#8220;All files related to Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activity should be made public,&#8221; DeSantis posted on X. &#8220;While the federal government continues to stonewall accountability, I’m glad the Legislature has taken action to release the grand jury material from the Florida state case. I will sign the bill into law.&#8221;

A forensic pathologist hired by Epstein’s family pushed back on that conclusion, saying some of the evidence supports homicide. Mark Epstein said that he initially had no reason to doubt the official cause of death given by Sampson.

Mark Epstein said that when he met with medical examiners in New York City, they told him that they could not call it a suicide “because it looked too much like a homicide.”
He continued, “So, then the questions became if he didn’t commit suicide, then he was killed, and then who killed him? How was it done?”

And while thus far they have focused on the criminal behavior of both Epstein and Maxwell, newly-released documents have begun to shed light on associates who may have been aware of the financier&#8217;s crimes.
The latest documents mentioned former Polish model Adriana Ross – who was named as an <a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/6184602-Jeffrey-Epstein-non-prosecution-agreement.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">un-indicted co-conspirator</a> in Epstein&#8217;s 2008 non-prosecution agreement — and alleged that she had been the one to remove computers from Epstein&#8217;s home in Palm Beach before the FBI arrived to search the house.

Maxwell also reportedly refused to comply when she got a discovery request for documents pertaining to any connection she had with the Clinton Foundation &#8212; specifically in an effort to determine whether she was receiving any funding from the Clinton Foundation that might &#8220;provide a clear motive for her to slant testimony on this subject.&#8221;
In another document, a witness described seeing Britain&#8217;s disgraced Prince Andrew — along with his wife, Sarah Ferguson — at Epstein&#8217;s home. The same witness also recalled seeing independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former President Donald Trump at the house as well, but said that when Prince Andrew visited, he stayed for weeks at a time.
Trump, according to one witness, never stayed at Epstein&#8217;s home — and did not even sit at the main table with Epstein and other guests, choosing instead to eat in the kitchen with staff.

According to an email in the <a href="https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/4355835/1325/5/giuffre-v-maxwell/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">second tranche of documents</a> related to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, former President Bill Clinton allegedly put pressure on Vanity Fair to kill a story about sex trafficking and his &#8220;good friend J.E.&#8221;
The documents, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/names-of-jeffrey-epsteins-associates-to-be-unsealed-with-few-exceptions">unsealed</a> pursuant to a mid-December court order from Manhattan Federal Judge Loretta Preska, were part of a civil lawsuit filed by Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre against the financier&#8217;s convicted co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell.
While the majority of the documents in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/heres-whats-in-the-epstein-docs-so-far" target="_blank" rel="noopener">first tranche</a> pertained almost solely to the criminal behavior exhibited by Epstein and Maxwell, the second tranche delivered a list of associates whom Giuffre believed could have knowledge of that criminal behavior.
Among those with potential knowledge of Epstein&#8217;s and Maxwell&#8217;s dealings listed in the documents were Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Clinton; one of Clinton&#8217;s advisers, Doug Band; and Sophie Biddle. Others listed in the documents included deceased model scout Jean-Luc Brunel, deceased Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM), and financier Les Wexner.

According to one email included in the filing, Giuffre wrote to journalist Sharon Churcher about Clinton&#8217;s alleged efforts to kill a story that might have shed light on Epstein&#8217;s sex trafficking activities.
&#8220;When I was doing some research into VF yesterday, it does concern me what they could want to write about me considering that B. Clinton walked into VF and threatened them not to write sex-trafficing [sic] articles about his good friend J.E.,&#8221; Giuffre wrote.

Former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter pushed back, telling <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/01/04/bill-clinton-put-pressure-on-vanity-fair-not-to-cover-epste/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Telegraph</a>: &#8220;This categorically did not happen.&#8221;
Journalist Vicky Ward <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/news/annals-of-communications/why-didnt-vanity-fair-break-the-jeffrey-epstein-story" target="_blank" rel="noopener">also claimed</a> that Epstein had worked to prevent Vanity Fair from writing a similar story.
&#8220;&#8216;I have reports here about you, your husband — I have everything under the sun that was sent to me by people who want to be helpful,'&#8221; Ward <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12930469/vanity-fair-graydon-carter-denies-bill-clinton-jeffrey-epstein-claims.html?ns_mchannel=rss&amp;ns_campaign=1490&amp;ito=social-twitter_mailonline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">quoted Epstein</a>, saying he had threatened her directly after she interviewed two of his victims, sisters Maria and Annie Farmer.
Carter denied that as well, saying that the outlet had opted to cut certain information from the story because it had not been submitted in time and had not met legal standards.
The documents do not go so far as to accuse Clinton of doing anything illegal.

Other documents spoke to Epstein&#8217;s pattern of behavior — bringing in girls and then sending them out to recruit other girls — and efforts to get the girls in his orbit to become emancipated, giving him more access and control over them.
