<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pottery Barn promoted a book by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transgender</a> activist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jazz-jennings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jazz Jennings</a> telling the story of a transgender-identifying child in a video this week. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jennings, a biological male who <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-troubling-case-of-jazz-jennings-the-medias-first-transgender-child" target="_blank" rel="noopener">began to “transition”</a> at age 3, read from the book “I Am Jazz” on a Wednesday Instagram post from Pottery Barn Kids, the children&#8217;s brand of the furniture chain Pottery Barn. The book, written by Jennings, features a child who claims to have “a girl brain but a boy body.” The video has been liked more than 350 times and has more than 650 comments.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“From the time she was two years old, Jazz knew that she had a girl&#8217;s brain in a boy&#8217;s body. She loved pink and dressing up as a mermaid and didn&#8217;t feel like herself in boys&#8217; clothing. This confused her family, until they took her to a doctor who said that Jazz was transgender and that she was born that way,” the book’s <a href="https://www.amazon.com/I-Am-Jazz-Jessica-Herthel/dp/0803741073" target="_blank" rel="noopener">description</a> on Amazon says.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jennings, now 22, was one of the first children to undergo a so-called “transition.” Jennings has had health issues after having transgender surgery, which started when he was still a minor, and has undergone a total of three “corrective” surgeries.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Many in the comments below the video blasted Pottery Barn for partnering with Jennings.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“This is DISGUSTING. I’ll go take my money elsewhere. Such a shame you had to go this route,” one user wrote.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Pulling another bud light lol Who in their right mind would read this to their kids ??,” another commented.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pottery Barn’s website currently allows customers to purchase an LGBT-themed </span><a href="https://www.potterybarn.com/products/goods-that-give-back-pride-mug/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">mug</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and a rainbow-themed </span><a href="https://www.potterybarn.com/products/pride-doormat/?pkey=s~pride~14"><span style="font-weight: 400;">doormat</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. Some of the proceeds go to the Trevor Project, a group that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mlb-linked-emergency-text-line-directs-users-to-reportedly-sexually-explicit-lgbtq-chat-room-watchdog-finds" target="_blank" rel="noopener">supports children</a> socially “transitioning” and undergoing transgender procedures.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The move from Pottery Barn to promote Jennings comes as beer brand Bud Light has faced enormous backlash after a partnership with activist Dylan Mulvaney and some customers moved to boycott Target after it sold female swimwear that was “tuck-friendly.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bud Light’s sales have plummeted following its partnership with Mulvaney, and Target has lost about $13 billion in market capitalization.</span></p>

Walsh responded to the reality star with answers to some of the questions posed in the videos.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Like, why do you care?” Jennings said in the original reply. “Let us just be, let us be happy, let us be ourselves. We’re not hurting anyone, you know? We need to celebrate each other and our diversity.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jennings also repeated the common refrain that the trans community is “under attack” and that Walsh’s commentary makes it clear “that there are people out there who want to hurt” transgender people and see them “be miserable.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I was going to respond to this just sort of in general terms, but I think instead I’d like to be more direct. Jazz has addressed me directly, asking some questions, and I’d like to answer them,” Walsh began in his reply.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Jazz, first of all, I understand why you’re frustrated that people are talking about you and, from your perspective, involving themselves in your private life,&#8221; he said. &#8220;You are absolutely right that your conversation with your mother that we saw there about your own deep emotional and psychological pains should not have been a public spectacle. I never should have seen that or heard it. Nobody should have.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Walsh went on to point out how Jennings’ mother invited cameras into their family life long before the &#8220;I Am Jazz&#8221; star could have consented to it. He mentioned how the reality star appeared on &#8220;20/20&#8221; and met with Oprah Winfrey at a young age.  </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“[Your mom] was parading you around as a mascot for transgenderism,” Walsh said, mentioning how when he was that age he was watching cartoons and playing outside. “I wish that you had a childhood like that… But your mom took that away from you,” he said.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Walsh argued that even if children could be transgender and change genders, it would still be wrong to turn them into a “public exhibition” for fame and money, which he accused Jennings&#8217; parents of doing.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“You also accuse me of trying to hurt you and make you miserable,” Walsh said in the clip. “I don’t. I’m not out to hurt you. I see that you are hurt; you said it yourself. You don’t feel like yourself. And you don’t feel like yourself because you have been led since childhood down a path of self-rejection.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“You said that everyone deserves to be their authentic self – I could not possibly agree more. ‘Deserve’ is an apt choice of words, in fact, in this case. Every child deserves to be shown the way towards truth and their own true selves. Every child deserves to grow up in the light surrounded by adults who are sources of clarity and guidance for them. You didn’t have that, and you still don’t.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“You have been fed lies,” Walsh says in the address to Jennings. “One lie after another, and they are the worst kinds of lies. They are lies that deprive you of the recognition of your true self. This is the deepest form of abuse.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Nobody in your life will tell you the truth. Nobody in your life has ever told you the truth,” he said. “They have never been honest with you about anything.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Walsh concluded by saying the people in Jennings’ life “diagnosed” and “labeled” the reality star.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“They introduced horrific confusion into your life, and then they profited off of that confusion. They exploited you.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He said they want Jennings to live a lie forever because otherwise it would “embarrass” them. “You deserve the truth, and I’m telling it to you,” Walsh said. “Even if it hurts to hear it.”</span></p>

<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/megyn-kelly" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Megyn Kelly</a> said she needed to &#8220;atone&#8221; for the past reporting she did when she was at NBC about gender dysphoria and her calls at the time for compassion and tolerance.</p>
<p>During Sirius XM&#8217;s &#8220;The Megyn Kelly Show&#8221; <a href="https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sYWPkxtaAbA" target="_blank" rel="noopener">podcast</a> on Friday, the host was speaking with detransitioner Cat Cattinson, Executive Producer of &#8220;Affirmation Generation&#8221; Joey Brite, and Stephanie Winn, about the media&#8217;s role in pushing transgender ideology, something she said she unfortunately was a part of. It was during a discussion about trans activist Dylan Mulvaney and the media&#8217;s early focus on trans-identifying <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jazz-jennings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jazz Jennings</a>.</p>
<p>&#8220;When I was at NBC I did all these shows on gender dysphoria, kids, and so on — shows for which I feel I need to atone,&#8221; Kelly said.</p>
<p>&#8220;I really do,&#8221; she added. &#8220;I just feel like I blindly jumped into, &#8216;be supportive&#8217; and &#8216;be kind&#8217; and &#8216;be compassionate&#8217; — even with kids, without stopping to realize what it was I was platforming, even advocating.”</p>

<p>Twenty-two-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-troubling-case-of-jazz-jennings-the-medias-first-transgender-child" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jazz Jennings</a> recently seemed to express dissatisfaction with his life post-<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender-surgery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gender transition</a>, which began at the startling young age of 3.</p>
<p>Jazz&#8217; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transition</a> was initiated by his parents and promoted by the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/mainstream-media">mainstream media</a>. By age 3, the biological boy was living at home as a girl, and by 4 1/2, Jazz was treated as a girl both inside the home and outside the home. The child&#8217;s fifth birthday party was swapped by the family to become a transgender coming-out party<em>. </em></p>
<p>&#8220;You know I can&#8217;t get out of my head. It just doesn&#8217;t stop,&#8221; an emotional Jazz <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2lmlWy0yXg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> mother Jeanette Jennings during an episode of the family&#8217;s reality TV show on TLC, &#8220;I am Jazz.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s okay,&#8221; Jeanette told Jazz. &#8220;I know what you&#8217;re going though. We&#8217;ve been there before.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;No,&#8221; Jazz shot back. &#8220;It still doesn&#8217;t stop, now &#8212; I&#8217;m still going back to negative.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The more you&#8217;re talking about yourself, it gets harder,&#8221; Jeanette reasoned. &#8220;It&#8217;s making you put a magnifier glass on what&#8217;s already difficult as it is, so this is hard for you.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m the one doing it,&#8221; Jazz blamed himself.</p>
<p>Jeanette agreed, telling Jazz, &#8220;You&#8217;re your own worst enemy.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I just want to feel like myself, that&#8217;s it,&#8221; an emotional Jazz pleaded. &#8220;All I want is to be happy and feel like me, and I don&#8217;t feel like me, ever.&#8221;</p>
<p>The tragic moment aired in March, and quickly gained attention online.</p>

<p>Jazz seemed to react to the response during his activism for so-called transgender rights. &#8220;I am transgender and I am proud,&#8221; the activist said. &#8220;All my parents did to support me was listen to me and love me. No one forced me to be here, and my identity as a woman was never placed upon me.&#8221;</p>
<p>Jazz added that being put on hormone blockers at age 11 saved his life, and &#8220;continue to save the lives of so many youths out there.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m living proof that gender affirming care is necessary,&#8221; Jazz claimed.</p>

<p>But as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-troubling-case-of-jazz-jennings-the-medias-first-transgender-child" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire</a> has chronicled, Jazz has had serious issues after having transgender surgery, which started when he was still a minor. The reality TV star has had numerous &#8220;corrective&#8221; surgeries and has expressed the inability to experience sexual pleasure.</p>
<p>“Jazz as a medical case is really a conundrum because her puberty was blocked so well that she didn’t get growth of her genitals in a way that allows us as a surgeon to use a conventional approach,” <a href="https://people.com/tv/jazz-jennings-talks-sexual-stuff-orgasm-libido-doctor-before-gender-confirmation-surgery/">said</a> surgeon <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/a-significant-concession/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Marci Bowers</a>. The surgeon is a biological male who identifies as female; he was featured in Matt Walsh&#8217;s &#8220;What is a Woman?&#8221; documentary defending trans surgeries for minors.</p>
<p>“The orgasm. The Big O,” Jazz said during a doctor&#8217;s appointment with Bowers, TLC captured. “There hasn’t been much change. My libido’s still basically nowhere.”</p>
<p>“Jazz does not know what an orgasm is and it’s very important when expressing intimacy,” Bowers responded. “And although it is not something that’s going to delay surgery, it’s not going to be any easier for her to have an orgasm after surgery.”</p>
<p>Jazz has also publicly struggled with depression and serious weight gain.</p>
<p>Though Jazz has not explicitly denounced his transition, many others who underwent similar experiences are speaking out post-detransition.</p>
<p>A teenager named Layla Jane, for example, is suing a health care company and the doctors who put her on controversial puberty-blocking drugs at age 12 and removed her healthy breasts in a double-mastectomy surgery when she was just 13 years old, accusing them of “intentional fraud and concealment.”</p>
<p>Layla <a href="https://libertycenter.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Draft-90-notice-to-sue-letter-002_Redacted.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claims</a> in a letter of intent to sue that she was rushed into the life-altering medical services while she and her family were not properly informed of risks and other vital information, such as the rate of desistence for childhood gender dysphoria.</p>

<p>Chloe Cole, another detransitioned 18-year-old woman, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/detransitioner-chloe-cole-announces-official-lawsuit-against-kaiser-permanente-for-medical-negligence" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> in February the first official lawsuit in the U.S. against the same health care group, which, too, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/detransitioner-chloe-cole-announces-intent-to-sue-kaiser-permanente-for-experimental-hormones-and-surgery">facilitated her medical gender transition</a> as a minor.</p>
<p>Detransitioner Helena Kerschner has said that when she was 15-years-old, “lonely,” and dissatisfied with her body, she got “<span class="css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0">sucked into gender ideology online.” </span></p>
<p>“My school encouraged me and I was easily prescribed a high dose of testosterone at 18, and it was very damaging,” she said online last year, using the hashtag “DetransAwareness Day,&#8221; adding, “This is not rare.&#8221;</p>

<p>When their two-year-old boy who liked dresses and dancing supposedly told his parents he identified as a girl, Jeanette and Greg Jennings decided their child, Jared Jennings, was not going through a &#8220;phase,&#8221; but was actually a girl.</p>
<p>So they raised their child as such. As Jeanette put it, her child would avoid &#8220;depression&#8221; and &#8220;suffering.&#8221;</p>
<p>But what has happened since then?</p>
<h3>The Media Cultivation</h3>
<p>Americans first got a glimpse of Jazz in 2007, when ABC&#8217;s 20/20 ran a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ_BHY5RolA">special</a> on gender transitions in children.</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ll say things like, God made you special, because there aren&#8217;t very many girls out there that have a penis,&#8221; Jeanette told Barbara Walters. Jazz was just six years old at the time, had already had a transgender &#8220;coming out party,&#8221; and was living as a girl at home and at school.</p>
<p>&#8220;A phase is called a phase because it is just that: it ends, and this is not ending,&#8221; the mother emphasized. &#8220;This is just getting stronger.&#8221;</p>
<p>Walters painted Jeanette and Greg as &#8220;courageous and loving parents&#8221; who were absolutely saving their child &#8220;from a future of heartache and pain.&#8221;</p>
<p>Jeanette, with her husband by her side holding her hand, told Walters Jazz as a &#8220;baby came out and basically said, this is who I am. I&#8217;m a girl.&#8221;</p>
<p>When Jazz was just two years old, things started to change for the family.</p>
<p>&#8220;Mommy when&#8217;s the good fairy gonna come with her magic wand and change, ya know, my genitalia?&#8221; Jeanette recalled Jazz supposedly telling her at just two years old, explaining that Jazz wanted to &#8220;take off my penis&#8221; and &#8220;make it into a vagina.&#8221;</p>
<p>This was the turning point for Jeanette.</p>
<p>By age three, Jazz was fully living as a girl at home. At 4 1/2, Jazz was a girl inside the home <em>and</em> outside of the home. For Jazz&#8217;s fifth birthday party, the family swapped out a kid&#8217;s theme for a transgender coming-out party<em>. </em></p>
<p>Jeanette assured a completely sympathetic Walters that she was transitioning her child to save Jazz from being &#8220;depressed&#8221; and &#8220;suffering,&#8221; adding a prophetic, &#8220;What child should have to suffer?&#8221;</p>

<p>The family wasn&#8217;t done sharing Jazz&#8217;s story though. And neither was the media. The child&#8217;s YouTube show turned into a long-running reality TV show on TLC called &#8220;I am Jazz,&#8221; starting when Jazz was just 14 years old.</p>
<p>The show has provided the media with endless content to promote and normalize transgenderism in children. Jazz is a published author and a recipient of numerous awards, <a href="https://transkidspurplerainbow.org/featured/jazz-receives-prestigious-colin-higgins-youth-courage-award/">including</a> the prestigious Colin Higgins Youth Courage Award at age 11.</p>
<p>But there was a dark side, too.</p>
<h3><strong>Jazz Can&#8217;t Feel Sexual Pleasure </strong></h3>
<p>The Jennings&#8217; made sure Jazz&#8217;s puberty was blocked, which consequently stunted genital growth. Jazz, at age 18, disclosed an inability to experience sexual pleasure.</p>

<p>“Jazz as a medical case is really a conundrum because her puberty was blocked so well that she didn’t get growth of her genitals in a way that allows us as a surgeon to use a conventional approach,” surgeon Dr. Marci Bowers <a href="https://people.com/tv/jazz-jennings-talks-sexual-stuff-orgasm-libido-doctor-before-gender-confirmation-surgery/">said</a> when Jazz was 18-years-old.</p>
<p>For all of the world to see, Jazz spoke to Bowers about never experiencing an orgasm.</p>

<p>“The orgasm. The Big O,&#8221; Jazz said at the appointment. “There hasn’t been much change. My libido’s still basically nowhere.”</p>
</div>
<div class="paragraph">
<p>“Jazz does not know what an orgasm is and it’s very important when expressing intimacy,” Bowers said. “And although it is not something that’s going to delay surgery, it’s not going to be any easier for her to have an orgasm after surgery.”</p>
<p>Notably, in 2019, Jazz openly worried about ever enjoying sex because of &#8220;how &#8216;effed up my whole vagina is.&#8221;</p>
<p>Before the third surgery in 2020, Jazz <a href="https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/i-am-jazz-fans-react-to-jazz-jennings-sex-museum-outing-with-her-brother.html/">wondered</a>, “I mean, my biggest concern is, I still haven’t had an orgasm.”</p>
<p>“I’m a little less euphoric arriving to New York this time than I was for my original vaginoplasty,” Jazz said on his show. “Obviously the first time, it was a big surgery, and now we’re on the third surgery.”</p>

<h3><b>Three Grueling, Risky &#8216;Corrective&#8217; Surgeries</b></h3>

<p>Jazz first underwent so-called &#8220;bottom surgery,&#8221; which changes the male patient&#8217;s penis to something that resembles a vagina, at just 17 years old, in 2018. There were complications, and Jazz needed a second surgery, which turned into a third surgery.</p>

<p>“She had a very incredible first surgery — it went seemingly very well, but there were problems,” Dr. Bowers conceded when Jazz was 19. “And that prompted a second surgery, which I was not a part of, unfortunately.”</p>

<p>“Taking Jazz on as a patient for surgery, we knew it was going to be a one-of-a-kind surgery,” Dr. Jess Ting added. “We don’t have the experience of having said we’ve done 50 of these. I was just not expecting her to have a complication as severe as what she did have.”</p>

We knew it would be tough — it turned out tougher than any of us imagined,” Bowers admitted. “I think in hindsight we would have never sent you home from the hospital. You know, easy to say now. When I wasn’t here when you had problems and had to go back, I can’t tell you how stressful that was.”</p>
<p>Jazz, in 2019, said, &#8220;my vagina falling apart was the hardest thing I ever had to experience.&#8221;</p>

<h3>The Depression And Weight Gain</h3>
<p>Jazz has been open about dealing with depression and an overeating disorder. As a result of struggling with serious mental health issues, in fact, the reality star had to defer going to Harvard University.</p>
<p>&#8220;Two years ago, I was on my way to [Harvard] one of the greatest institutions in the world, but I was actually struggling severely with mental health issues,&#8221; Jazz <a href="https://www.nickiswift.com/651042/the-truth-about-jazz-jennings-tense-family-issues-due-to-her-weight-gain/?utm_campaign=clip">said</a> on Season 7 of &#8220;I am Jazz,&#8221; which aired in 2021.</p>
<p>“I was actually struggling severely with mental health issues,&#8221; Jazz added. &#8220;I started binge-eating and I gained weight and more weight and more weight. And now, almost 100 pounds heavier, here I am today.&#8221;</p>
<p>In June of that year, Jazz, then about 234 pounds, posted side-by-side photos of the weight gain.</p>

<p>&#8220;As many of you have noticed, over the past few years, I have gained a substantial amount of weight,&#8221; Jazz wrote. &#8220;I suffer from binge-eating disorder, a disease in which I’m not only addicted to food, but I eat it in large quantities. My binging, along with an increased appetite I experience from some of the meds I’m on, has caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a little less than 2 years. I’m posting this photo because it’s time for me to address my weight gain and hold myself accountable.&#8221;</p>
<p>“I do experience fat-shaming from my family,” Jazz said on the show. “It makes me feel really humiliated.”</p>
