Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/author/ted-cruz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ted Cruz</a> (R-TX) said this week that he believes that once the new Trump administration is in place next month, much will be revealed about the actions of federal law enforcement during the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Cruz&#8217;s remarks come after the inspector general for the Department of Justice said in a report released on Thursday that the FBI had at least 26 informants at the event in Washington, D.C., that day.
Cruz said that Trump&#8217;s nominees for U.S. attorney general, Pam Bondi, and FBI director, Kash Patel, will shed new light on what happened that day once they get into their new roles.
&#8220;What the report says is the FBI didn&#8217;t instruct them to encourage others to commit crimes,&#8221; Cruz said. &#8220;I believe we will know much, much more about this in the next couple of months, once we have Pam Bondi and Kash Patel confirmed, I think they will release significantly more information to the public.&#8221;
&#8220;I think they both understand the public has a right to know what was the FBI’s level of involvement, what was the culpability?&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I think there is significant public interest in the answers to that. And I think the Biden Department of Justice desperately wants to avoid anyone from knowing that. But you know what? The Democrats lost the election, and elections have consequences.&#8221;

Informants, or confidential human sources (CHSs) as they are called by the U.S. government, are used by law enforcement for various investigations, yet the sheer number of them suspected to have been in the crowd on January 6 has fueled concerns about intelligence failures and doubts about whether they acted appropriately.
The new report said the inspector general’s team determined three informants were tasked by FBI field offices in the days leading up to the January 6 certification of the presidential election results with the “required approval” by the FBI’s Washington Field Office to travel to D.C. for events to report on “domestic terrorism subjects” who were possibly going to be in attendance.
A review by the watchdog found that these three CHSs and another 23 FBI informants who were in D.C. for January 6 events did not receive authorization to enter the Capitol or a restricted area, “or to otherwise break the law” on January 6. The inspector general’s report also stressed that none of the informants were directed by the FBI to “encourage others” to commit illegal acts on January 6.
However, the inspector general’s team determined, four informants entered the Capitol during the riot and another 13 of them entered a restricted area around the building, “which was a security perimeter established in preparation for” the certification process. Despite this finding, none of the CHSs have been prosecuted to date, the watchdog added.
A footnote in the report included a response from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C., which said it “generally has not charged those individuals whose only crime on January 6, 2021 was to enter the restricted grounds surrounding the Capitol, which has resulted in the Office declining to charge hundreds of individuals; and we have treated the CHSs consistent with this approach.”
The report said the inspector general’s team determined that “many” of the informants provided “relevant” information related to the January 6 electoral certification and a few also gave details about the riot as it occurred. Information provided included particulars related to the Oath Keepers, some of whom were later found guilty of seditious conspiracy and sentenced to prison.

Still, the report said the information was &#8220;no more specific than, and was consistent with, other sources of information&#8221; about the potential for violence on January 6. And, the inspector general&#8217;s team noted, a review of FBI field offices did not &#8220;identify any potentially critical intelligence related to a possible attack on the Capitol on January 6 that had not been provided to law enforcement stakeholders&#8221; prior to that day.
The watchdog said it found no evidence the FBI had undercover employees in the &#8220;protest crowds&#8221; or at the Capitol on January 6, which FBI officials stressed would have been against the bureau&#8217;s policy with regard to First Amendment-protected events &#8220;absent some investigative authority.&#8221; A Washington Field Office official told the inspector general&#8217;s team he denied a request to have an undercover employee &#8220;engage in investigative activity&#8221; on that day.
One issue raised by the watchdog was that some of the intelligence obtained by informants was not &#8220;adequately shared&#8221; with the Washington Field Office or, if it was shared, was not sufficiently followed up on by the office. In its recommendations, the inspector general advised the FBI to &#8220;assess&#8221; how it prepares for &#8220;potential domestic security issues&#8221; that are not designated National Special Security Events to help ensure &#8220;clarity&#8221; of responsibilities.
The FBI, in its response, said it &#8220;continues to disagree&#8221; with some of the &#8220;factual assertions&#8221; in the watchdog&#8217;s report, but said it accepted the recommendation. It also noted that the Department of Homeland Security has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/feds-ratchet-up-security-for-electoral-vote-certification-on-january-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">designated</a> the 2025 certification as a National Special Security Event, which was not the case in 2021, but was &#8220;nonetheless committed&#8221; to assessing policies and procedures for further events that do not receive such a ratcheted-up level of security.

As the fog of battle from the 2024 presidential race is lifting, it is becoming clearer that this election was not so much a referendum on Trump vs. Biden or Harris as it was a referendum on reality vs. absurdity. It was a chance for Americans to signal that they had reached their breaking point and simply could not tolerate any more lies. It was their chance to publicly reject the many mendacities they have been asked to swallow as &#8220;truth&#8221; over the last eight years or so. 
Despite Herculean efforts by the Democrats along with their governmental agency and media allies, the mask was pulled off of simply too many of the falsehoods, making a number of things clear:

<li>No, <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/violent-crime-went-not-down-181230239.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">crime</a> is not going down – and the false report claiming violent crime fell by 1.7% under Biden needed to be corrected to show a 4.9% increase.</li>
<li>No, Joe Biden is not &#8220;sharp as a tack&#8221; and in control.</li>
<li>No, when a full-term baby is delivered and then left to die on a delivery table it is not called abortion or reproductive rights.</li>
<li>No, only one political party is a threat to democracy, using the media, governmental agencies, and lawfare to censure, punish, attack, and imprison their political enemies specifically because they are political enemies, and it is not Trump or the Republicans.</li>

Criticizing mistakes with hindsight is easy work of course, but the aforementioned lies and so many more were not mere mistakes. They were usually premeditated and intentional lies – created and perpetuated for the explicit purpose of deception – deception to the benefit of the deceiver – and usually to the disadvantage of the American public and the opposing party.
By November of this year, with the exposure of all of these lies and more, the bulk of the American public had surpassed their limit. Not only were they tired of having the truth hidden from them, but they were tired of being told that they were an enemy of freedom, the country and constitution, and decency if they were unwilling to believe and act in accordance with the lies. In this regard, the 2024 election had boiled down to a battle of truth vs. lies – and Americans had become exhausted with the steady and predictable stream of the latter – and from the same, predictable and discredited sources.
As one last validation that they had chosen correctly, Joe Biden extended the middle finger to America yet again, violating his vow that he would not pardon his son – a vow he didn’t break until after the election of course. Further, the usual suspects are now pushing the newest lie, that this is perfectly acceptable given the <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/02/us/politics/hunter-biden-pardon-decision.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“retribution-focused Trump administration.”</a>
Ever had one of those dreams after which you wake up and chuckle at the stupidity of your thinking in the dream – E.g., Why did I think that having a cup of coffee was a top priority when the house was on fire?” That’s where many Americans are now, asking themselves how they could have believed so many of the clear and obvious lies put in front of them – often for a period of years.
Some Americans and plenty of the media knew all of these were lies from the outset, but surely a large portion of both were shocked when each fabrication was eventually revealed. Perhaps now the public can look with clear eyes at a number of similar situations including those in the present and future.

On Wednesday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary, fired off a letter to the Biden Department of Justice demanding the Office of Professional Responsibility provide critical information about the operations of Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team’s efforts to prosecute Donald Trump.
Smith had charged Trump with trying to subvert the 2020 presidential election in one case and mishandling classified documents in another.
“The information that you have provided only reinforces our concerns that OPR acts more to protect Department prosecutors than to root out prosecutorial misconduct,” Jordan wrote to Jeffrey Ragsdale, the counsel for OPR. “While we appreciate you confirming an open investigation into Jack Smith&#8217;s prosecutors, we are concerned that your refusal to take prompt investigative steps will allow these attorneys to evade internal accountability by leaving the Department.”

Jordan referred to a letter the Committee wrote in May in which they asked for “documents related to OPR&#8217;s investigations into allegations that Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team lied to a federal court, manipulated evidence seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) during its raid of Mar-a-Lago, and improperly pressured a lawyer representing a defendant indicted by Smith.”
The Committee followed up with another letter in August regarding professional misconduct regarding another member of Smith&#8217;s team, J.P. Cooney. After receiving no response, the Committee asked Ragsdale to make himself available to the Committee in September and followed up with another request in October regarding all their requests.
On November 19, Ragsdale told the Committee that OPR had opened an investigation into Smith&#8217;s office in June 2023, but OPR did not conduct an “inquiry” or “investigation” into the allegations because it could “interfer[e] with” and “jeopardize” the prosecution, Jordan wrote.
“As you explained it, the Department&#8217;s policy would keep bad-actor attorneys in place to continue prosecutorial misconduct because of the administrative difficulty and resource constraints involved in switching attorneys,” Jordan wrote. “This excuse not only defies common sense, but it seems to violate the Department&#8217;s mission to ensure that justice is done in every case.”
After Trump was elected, Smith revealed that his team was “making moves to wind down the two criminal cases.&#8221;
“Smith then gave your office permission to investigate the allegations of attorney misconduct by Smith&#8217;s office. You stated that Smith only allowed the investigation to begin because it would now no longer ‘interfere with the Special Counsel&#8217;s investigation and prosecution,’” Jordan noted.
“It is absurd that OPR &#8211; the Department entity charged with upholding ethical conduct &#8211; would only examine allegations of prosecutorial misconduct after the subject of the allegations has approved the inquiry,” he declared.
“Your continued failure to cooperate with our oversight and apparent intention to hide information from the Committee is more evidence that OPR operates to protect Department attorneys from independent accountability,” Jordan asserted. “This letter serves as a formal request to preserve all existing and future records and materials related to OPR&#8217;s investigation into Special Counsel Smith and members of his prosecution team. Your office should construe this preservation notice as an instruction to take all reasonable steps to prevent the destruction or alteration, whether intentionally or negligently, of all documents, communications, and other information, including electronic information and metadata, that are or may be responsive to this congressional inquiry.”

In late November, a judge rejected Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s request that Smith preserve his records. Embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been ordered to hand over all records related to her communications with special counsel Jack Smith and the House January 6 Committee after a court granted a motion for default adjustment against her on Tuesday.
Willis is leading a controversial RICO case against now-President-elect Donald Trump and several of his top associates for alleged election interference, which is now on pause.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney is giving Willis five business days to produce the material, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fani-willis-ordered-give-watchdog-all-communications-special-counsel-jack-smith" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> Tuesday night. McBurney also said in his ruling that Willis violated Georgia&#8217;s open records act when she failed to respond to nonprofit Judicial Watch&#8217;s lawsuit about the communication.
Willis&#8217; office claimed in March that it did not have any documents on file or communications with Smith or the J6 Committee, Fox noted. However, the claim was untrue, and the office did have such communication.
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bombshell-house-report-reveals-trump-prosecutor-nathan-wade-met-with-white-house" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Wire reporter Luke Rosiak</a> in October revealed Nathan Wade &#8211; Willis&#8217; romantic partner, whom she hired as special prosecutor in the Trump case &#8211; had extensive communications with the Biden White House, according to records.
Wade billed the Fulton County office for hours of meetings with the White House, the congressional January 6 committee, and other D.C. officials, according to records obtained by the House Judiciary Committee.
On November 18, 2022, he billed eight hours for “Interview with DC/White House,” but under oath, he claimed he didn’t remember the meeting and couldn’t even say whether it was online or in person. Between September 7 and September 9, 2022, Wade billed $6,000 to taxpayers for “Witness Interviews; conf call DC; team meeting,” but couldn’t remember what the D.C. meeting entailed.

A released <a href="https://judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/republicans-judiciary.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/2024-10-15%20Nathan%20Wade%20Deposition_Redacted_Errata.pdf">transcript</a> of an interview with Wade, which was compelled by subpoena, shows that Willis was preparing to prosecute Trump even before she took office. She put Wade on a “search committee” to find a prosecutor, which ultimately chose him for the job.
In addition to the accusation that her office was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bombshell-house-report-reveals-trump-prosecutor-nathan-wade-met-with-white-house" target="_blank" rel="noopener">allegedly working with the White House and top Democrats</a>, Willis has been marred by the hiring of Wade, her boyfriend, since the pair allegedly benefited financially from the arrangement.
Currently, it&#8217;s being worked through the courts to determine if Willis and her office can continue to prosecute the case. Wade has already been forced to resign from his position.

More Americans now believe that former President Donald Trump was merely “exercising his right to contest the [2020] election” than they did a few years ago, while fewer believe he “went so far that he threatened American democracy,” according to a newly-released survey.
More Americans still believe the latter over the former, but the gap between the two beliefs has closed in recent years, according to the latest New York Times/Siena National <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/10/27/us/elections/times-siena-poll-toplines.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poll</a> on the question. This same poll has asked registered voters the question since at least July 2022, and since then, voters have shifted toward the belief that Trump had every right to contest the election and away from the belief that he threatened democracy.
When the question was asked in early July 2022, 39% of respondents said they thought Trump was exercising his right, while 55% said he threatened democracy. This was more than a year after the events of January 6, 2021, when Trump supporters entered the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to stop then-Vice President Mike Pence from certifying the 2020 election results as questions about the validity of the ballots remained.

Now, however, the number of people who believe Trump was just exercising his rights has risen to 46%, while the number who believe he threatened democracy has dropped to 49%. The number of people who said they were unsure or refused to answer has also dropped nearly in half, from 7% in July 2022 to just 4% now.
The latest poll with the question was conducted just after news broke that former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney had communicated with an anti-Trump January 6 hearing witness. Cheney, then representing Wyoming, communicated with the “star witness” of the hearing behind the witness’ attorney’s back, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/liz-cheney-communicated-with-anti-trump-j6-witness-behind-her-lawyers-back" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. The initial communication was facilitated by then-Trump strategic communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin, but Cheney later communicated directly with the witness, Cassidy Hutchison.

“Bob’s Burgers” actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Jay Johnston</a> has been sentenced to one year in prison for his role in the events of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/january-6">January 6</a>, 2021.
The 56-year-old comedic <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/hollywood">actor</a> received the sentence on Monday after pleading guilty in July to one felony charge of obstructing officers during a civil disorder, according to court documents.
Johnston will also have 24 months of supervised release after serving time and was ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution and a special assessment of $100.
A bystander video from the event allegedly shows him filming protesters near the barricades around Congress. An FBI affidavit stated that Johnston was part of a group who forced their way into the Capitol Building via a tunnel using stolen police riot shields, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bobs-burgers-actor-pleads-guilty-to-felony-charges-from-january-6">reported</a>.
The Justice Department called this spot “the site of some of the most violent attacks against law enforcement that day.” The FBI claimed the video showed Johnston “handing up a stolen U.S. Capitol police shield to other rioters” and that he “participated with other rioters in a group assault” on law enforcement, per NBC News.

Johnston’s lawyer contacted the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center after they began circulating images of the actor that day in an effort to get the public to help identify him. Further evidence presented against the “Bob’s Burgers” actor included receipts for a hotel stay in Washington, D.C., during the same time as the rally, and text messages between him and a friend.
“The news has presented it as an attack. It actually wasn’t. Thought it kind of turned into that. It was a mess. Got maced and tear gassed and I found it quite untastic,” Johnston wrote in the text exchange.
The actor was a regular on the HBO comedy “Mr. Show with Bob and David” in the 1990s alongside Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. He also had appearances in the 2004 Will Ferrell comedy “Anchorman,” as well as “Arrested Development,” “The Sarah Silverman Program,” and “Men in Black II.”
Johnston was previously asked not to return to his role as Jimmy Pesto on the animated series “Bob’s Burgers” after it was suspected that he was involved in the incidents on January 6. No charges had been filed against the actor when he was let go from the show.

Newly-released texts show ex-Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), an outspoken opponent of former President Trump, communicated with the House January 6 Select Committee’s “star witness,” former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, unbeknownst to Hutchinson’s attorney, Stefan Passantino.

The texts between Hutchinson, who claimed she could offer more information to the committee, and Griffin began in April 2022; the hearings started two months later. On April 28, 2022, Griffin told Hutchinson that Cheney had concerns about Cheney&#8217;s own communication with Hutchinson, writing, “Her one concern was so long ad [sic] you have counsel, she can’t really ethically talk to you without him.”

On June 6, 2022, Hutchinson sent a text message to Cheney, writing, “Hi, this is Cassidy Hutchinson. I&#8217;m sorry for reaching out this way, but I was hoping to have a private conversation with you (soon) if you are willing.” Cheney texted back, &#8220;I would be happy to. Let me know what time works for you.”
“I&#8217;m free all day for a call or in-person, whichever you prefer. I really, really appreciate this,” Cheney wrote back.  That was three days before the January 6 hearings began. The Post reported that “around the same time, Hutchinson rejected Stefan Passantino as her counsel.”
The Oversight Subcommittee headed by Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) “accused Cheney of using Passantino as a ‘scapegoat’ — and trying to get him debarred — in order to explain away the differences between Hutchinson’s earlier testimonies and subsequent testimonies,” the Post asserted.
During her testimony, Hutchinson, who was an aide to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, claimed that she was told by White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Anthony Ornato that Trump shouted: “I’m the f***ing president! Take me up to the Capitol now!” and “lunged” to seize the steering wheel from his driver to join the January 6 protesters. The subcommittee report <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/03/11/us-news/house-gop-report-debunks-ex-trump-aide-cassidy-hutchinson-testimony-to-jan-6-panel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a> Ornato “testified that the first time he had ever heard the story Hutchinson claims Ornato told her on January 6, was during Hutchinson’s public testimony.”
The Secret Service agent driving the SUV also denied the story’s veracity. “The driver testified that he specifically refuted the version of events as recounted by Hutchinson,” the report stated, “The driver of the SUV testified that he ‘did not see him reach [redacted]. [President Trump] never grabbed the steering wheel. I didn’t see him, you know, lunge to try to get into the front seat at all.’”
The oversight subcommittee report also noted that the January 6 select committee “hid the driver’s full testimony and only favorably mentioned his testimony in its Final Report, it did not release the full transcript.”

Satirical news outlet The Babylon Bee has hit another comedic feat with the release of its mockumentary “January 6: The Deadliest Day,” <a href="https://babylonbee.com/plans?utm_source=popup&amp;utm_campaign=jan_6">available to stream on Friday for Bee subscribers</a>. 
The film ruthlessly mocks the Left’s reaction and hypocrisy regarding the Capitol breach in 2021 and highlights important truths — all while making you laugh. 
“The movie is a groundbreaking satirical documentary on the events of January 6, 2021, the day democracy almost got killed in the face,” the Bee said in a press release. “We also risked our lives to confront the most dangerous criminals imaginable, including the guy who moved Nancy Pelosi’s lectern a terrifying 20 feet, and that guy who wore buffalo horns.”
The film includes interviews with prominent conservatives, including The Daily Wire’s own Michael Knowles. 
“It features interviews with the most experty experts like Dennis Prager, Michael Knowles, Eric Metaxas, and some random guy from the Claremont Institute,” the Bee said.

The Babylon Bee is flexing its comedic chops with “January 6: The Most Deadliest Day,” a raw look at one of the most infamous days in history. No red-blooded American will be able to look away.
The internet’s most trusted source for satire released the “mockumentary” on Friday. It’s focused on that day in January when, as the press release says, “democracy almost got killed in the face.”

“It’s really neat that the Constitution specifically allows you to imprison your political opponents. Do you think that that’s neat too?” the film’s director and Babylon Bee Editor-in-Chief Kyle Mann asked Knowles during an interview. 
The podcast host replied, “I don’t mean this in any sort of derogatory fashion, I mean this in a purely clinical way. I just have to know – are you retarded?”
Knowles is no stranger to debating people who have no concept of what actually happened on January 6. A recent <a href="https://x.com/realdailywire/status/1843500044559045033?s=46">exchange</a> Knowles had with a college student went viral on X for good reason. 
The student laid out his argument, incensed that there was any disagreement during the certification process. 
“So you’re saying there was a controversy over who had really won the electors in a state and there were two sides who were disagreeing over that, and so they were trying to work out – during the certification process – on January 6, the worst day in history of the republic – what to do about it,” Knowles said.
“So my question to you is, is there any historical precedent for that? For what you call, the ‘fake elector scheme?’”
The student gives one example in an individual state, but Knowles responds, “You’re missing the actual historical precedent,” going on to explain the Compromise of 1877. He also brought up contested elections in more recent history, including the 2000 presidential election when Democrats denied that George W. Bush had won. 
Knowles laid out the reasons for Republicans contesting the 2020 election, including widespread mail-in ballots following a national lockdown and slowing down the counting of the votes by days or even weeks, which brought up legitimate questions about election integrity. 
“If you deny that half the country has the right to maybe work out that controversy, then  I suppose you think we ought to just give the Democrats all of the elections,” Knowles said, going on to say the student was “not exactly sure about a lot of things” when he admitted to not understanding the qualifications for becoming an elector.

Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jd-vance" target="_blank" rel="noopener">JD Vance</a> (R-OH) contended during the vice presidential <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/debates" target="_blank" rel="noopener">debate</a> on Thursday that censorship poses a &#8220;threat to democracy&#8221; and his Democratic Party rivals do not want to discuss it.
CBS News journalist Nora O&#8217;Donnell, a moderator in the debate, asked Vance if he would seek to challenge the results of the 2024 election after <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/10/vance-electors-2020-election-00178266" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suggesting</a> he would not have certified the last presidential contest without alternate electors.
Vance argued that he and his running mate, former President Donald Trump, are &#8220;focused on the future.&#8221; He discussed unwinding the &#8220;inflation crisis&#8221; as an example.

Getting to the question at hand, Vance noted how Trump drew attention to &#8220;problems&#8221; in the 2020 election. Vance also said his personal stance was to debate those concerns &#8220;peacefully in the public square.&#8221;
After giving a reminder that Trump himself urged his supporters on January 6, 2021 — the day a Capitol riot disrupted the certification of the 2020 presidential election results — to &#8220;protest peacefully,&#8221; Vance turned his focus toward the current administration.

Vance also said that Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the Democratic Party&#8217;s presidential nominee, has been &#8220;engaged in censorship at an industrial scale&#8221; over COVID-19 and other things.
The comment follows Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/zuckerberg-biden-harris-repeatedly-pressured-us-to-censor-free-speech" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a> in a recent letter that the Biden-Harris administration &#8220;repeatedly pressured&#8221; his company to censor content related to COVID during the pandemic.
&#8220;That, to me, is a much bigger threat to democracy than what Donald Trump said when he said protesters should peacefully protest on January the 6th,&#8221; Vance added.

Swing state union members hit MSNBC host Alex Wagner with a brutal reality check when they made it clear to her that they don’t care about what happened on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/january-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">January 6th, 2021</a>.
During a piece that aired on Monday on “<a href="https://x.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1838939537554194790">Alex Wagner Tonight</a>: View From The Battlegrounds, Live from Michigan,” Wagner spoke to people labeled as “undecided battleground voters” on a host of issues ahead of the 2024 Election between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
One union member she spoke to said he wasn&#8217;t particularly &#8220;familiar&#8221; with “February 6th.”

Wagner then corrected him, “January 6th,” before the man explained that he “remembered that day,” but it wouldn’t be a deciding factor in the 2024 election.
“I know he [Trump] was the standing president,” the person said. “I’m not familiar with the charges that are being brought against him. I’m not following that charge or, you know, there’s multiple court cases going on. I’m just not familiar with it.”
When pressed further by Wagner on whether it would be a factor in who he’s going to vote for, the union member said, “No.”

The MSNBC host then spoke to another person and asked, “When I say January 6th, what do you think?”
The second person replied, “I just remember seeing it on the news … all the riots and stuff. I didn’t know what it was about or what happened.”
She then pressed him to see how it “made him feel” when he saw it, and he said, “I don’t know I feel really any way about it. I mean, people showed their emotion. I guess, probably in the wrong way, but it happened.”
In a second <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6fCUXeuU4Y">clip</a>, she spoke to a union member who said immigration was important to him, noting the “thousands and thousands of illegal immigrants coming across the border every day and the vice president has done minimal work to fix that.”
He also said “based on” the first four years of Trump, that the former president would be better with handling the border crisis. The member said he was leaning toward Trump.
She then spoke to another person who told her what matters to them in the election is the “influx” of illegals at the border, as well as the “economy.” When pressed further which way he was going to vote, he said he wasn’t sure yet.
