Podcast giant Joe Rogan mocked mainstream news organizations during a broadcast of his show this week for ignoring the biggest stories happening in the world today.
Rogan made the <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/podcasts/joe-rogan-blasts-media-for-conveniently-ignoring-major-stories-instead-continuing-to-push-january-6th-coverage/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">remarks</a> Tuesday on &#8220;The Joe Rogan Experience&#8221; while speaking to physician Peter Attia.
“The media has lost its hold over the narrative,” Rogan declared. “Now, the media conveniently leaves out anything that it doesn’t want to be at the front and center — in terms of things that people concentrate on and talk about.”
“Like one of the greatest examples that’s happening right now is this massive protest in France. Massive protest in France. Nine million people on the street, literally up in arms,” Rogan said. “Macron in France. Takes his f***ing $80,000 watch off under the table while he’s talking to people about tightening up and about how you know this has to be done.”
“All it is, is like ‘January 6th. January 6th. Did you see what they did? — Trump is coming back, but January 6th looms large,&#8217;” Rogan said in mocking the news covered by mainstream organizations. “How about the fact that the guy who’s the president right now can’t form a f***ing sentence. He makes up words and stumbles through things and no one says a g*****n thing about it.&#8221;

Rogan railed against far-left woke initiatives last week that he warned were really shams that political elites use to force people to submit to their ideological wills.
“Look at what they try to do, look at what people try to do to stop criticism on Twitter, they f***ing send the FBI to Twitter to try to remove people from Twitter because they’re saying things that interferes with the way they govern,” Rogan said. “All that s*** is natural and the Founding Fathers were the only people that put together a system to mitigate that.”
“Over time these f***ing c****, these corrupt s***heads have done an amazing job of trying to chip away at that or convince people it should be chipped away at, and convince people that ‘freedom is not important, what’s important is equity and inclusiveness and diversity,’” he continued. “No no no that is a sheep costume the wolf wears, and the wolf is control, the wolf is control over people and forcing people to bend to your ideological will, whether it’s the will of the people on the right or the will of people on the left. That’s the form that it comes in, it comes in the form of ‘equity and inclusiveness.’”

The Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed yet another government informant, according to an attorney for one of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/proud-boys" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Proud Boys</a> facing a seditious conspiracy case tied to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/january-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">January 6</a>.
This latest twist came on Wednesday when the government conveyed to the defense that this person, who was set to appear on behalf of one of the defendants on Thursday, served as a &#8220;Confidential Human Source&#8221; (CHS) from April 2021 through at least January 2023, <a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23720252-motiontocompelcarmen" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to a court filing</a>.
“During this period of time, the CHS has been in contact via telephone, text messaging and other electronic means, with one or more of the counsel for the defense and at least one defendant,” attorney Carmen Hernandez wrote.
The informant, who was not identified in the court filing, also participated in prayer meetings with members of one or more of the defendants&#8217; families and engaged in conversations with one of the defendant&#8217;s family members about replacing one of the defense counsel, the attorney added.
Hernandez, who is representing Zachary Rehl, made the assertions in a motion that seeks to compel the disclosure of all FBI interview reports as well as DOJ memos relating to the recording and reporting of the defense team.
U.S. District Court Judge Tim Kelly had <a href="https://twitter.com/julie_kelly2/status/1638637200060424195" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told U.S. government</a> to respond to the filing by 9 a.m. on Thursday, but then ordered the deadline to be extended to the afternoon followed by a hearing on the motion and <a href="https://twitter.com/rparloff/status/1638684516528029697" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pushed back the trial</a> to resume on Friday.

The case involves Rehl, former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio, and three other members — Joe Biggs, Ethan Nordean, Dominic Pezzola — who were <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/leader-proud-boys-and-four-other-members-indicted-federal-court-seditious-conspiracy-and" target="_blank" rel="noopener">indicted in federal court</a> for seditious conspiracy and other offenses related to January 6, 2021, the day a crowd of people entered the U.S. Capitol and disrupted lawmakers who were meeting to certify Biden’s 2020 election victory.
Already, the Justice Department indicated the FBI had upwards of eight informants inside the Proud Boys leading up to January 6. The New York Times, which <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/14/us/politics/fbi-informants-proud-boys-jan-6.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported these revelations in November</a>, insisted that no &#8220;evidence has surfaced&#8221; suggesting that the FBI &#8220;played any role in the attack.&#8221;
Others are more skeptical, including Julie Kelly, a senior writer for American Greatness who has been closely following this story. She <a href="https://twitter.com/julie_kelly2/status/1638633029798068229" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reacted to the court filing</a> on Wednesday by saying, &#8220;DOJ asked Judge Kelly to force defense team to vet questions related to FBI informants WITH THE GOVERNMENT before any were asked in front of the jury. Kelly, of course, complied. Now we know why.&#8221; The writer also opined that the DOJ &#8220;knows they have a terribly weak case.&#8221;

The Proud Boys trial has endured multiple delays and tense moments, including earlier this month when the federal judge blocked the questioning of witnesses on the bulk of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/proud-boys-j6-case-upended-by-hidden-fbi-messages-judge-calls-much-ado-about-nothing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unintentionally-disclosed FBI messages</a>.
The filing on Wednesday from Hernandez said the defendants are &#8220;preparing a separate motion to dismiss the Indictment or for an evidentiary hearing, raising serious and substantiated allegations of governmental misconduct surrounding the surreptitious invasion and interference of the defense team by the government through a confidential human source, at the government&#8217;s behest.&#8221;
Roughly 26 months after the U.S. Capitol breach, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia says <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/26-months-jan-6-attack-capitol" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more than 1,000 arrests have been made</a> in connection to January 6 and notes more than 500 defendants have pleaded guilty, including four to a federal charge of seditious conspiracy.

The DOJ sent a letter to Chief Judge Beryl Howell of the District Court for the District of Columbia on October 28 warning that the court should prepare for another 700 to 1,200 defendants, according to <a class="c-link" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-03-15/doj-told-court-to-expect-a-deluge-of-new-jan-6-prosecutions" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-stringify-link="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-03-15/doj-told-court-to-expect-a-deluge-of-new-jan-6-prosecutions" data-sk="tooltip_parent">Bloomberg</a>, which reviewed the letter and first reported it Wednesday. At the time, the DOJ had filed charges against roughly 900 people.

The number of DOJ arrests has since <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/26-months-jan-6-attack-capitol" target="_blank" rel="noopener">risen</a> to roughly 1,000. The department’s estimate of the remaining cases corresponds roughly with the number of individuals that officials have estimated entered the U.S. Capitol during the riot, somewhere between 2,000 to 2,500 people.
The current number of arrests and prosecutions has strained resources at the DOJ, federal public defender’s office, and court system. DOJ officials have made clear in public statements that the department is committed to seeing every potential case through.
“In the months and years to come, the FBI Washington Field Office will continue to partner with U.S. attorney’s offices across the country to bring to justice those who attempted to use violence to substitute their will over the will of the people,” David Sundberg, assistant director in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/feds-say-long-haul-jan-6-investigation-rcna61728" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a January statement.
Most federal crimes have a statute of limitations of five years.
News of the October letter comes after Fox News host Tucker Carlson received 41,000 hours of footage of the Capitol on January 6. Carlson <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/what-we-werent-shown-about-january-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">broadcast</a> some of the video earlier this month showing the crowd inside the U.S. Capitol. The Fox News host challenged the portrayal of what happened that day by the House January 6 Committee and the media.
“A small percentage of them were hooligans. But the overwhelming majority weren’t. They were peaceful. They were orderly and meek. These were not insurrectionists – they were sightseers,” Carlson said.
Most of the footage given to Carlson has been available to defense attorneys representing clients charged over the events of January 6. The enormous volume of video may pose too great a challenge for defense teams to view thoroughly, however.
“Gov. gives me 14,000 hours of video and says ‘Your client is captured on that video.’ Are you suggesting I need to watch video 24 hours a day for 583 days in order to do my job?” William Shipley, who is representing the “QAnon Shaman” Jacob Chansley in his trial over January 6, said in a recent <a href="https://twitter.com/shipwreckedcrew/status/1635610622300749825" target="_blank" rel="noopener">post</a> on Twitter.
The FBI said in January that it had <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/washingtondc/news/fbi-washington-field-office-marks-second-anniversary-of-january-6-violence-at-the-us-capitol" target="_blank" rel="noopener">compiled</a> and reviewed more than 30,000 files of video footage from law enforcement, cell phones, and other sources. The files amount to nine terabytes of information, and it would take at least 361 days to view all of it if it were played 24 hours a day.

The number of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/january-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">January 6</a> prosecutions could double if a newly revealed prediction by the Justice Department comes true.
U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves wrote to Beryl Howell, the chief judge of the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., on October 28 saying between 700 and 1,200 more people could face charges, <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-03-15/doj-told-court-to-expect-a-deluge-of-new-jan-6-prosecutions#xj4y7vzkg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to Bloomberg News</a>.
“We expect the pace of bringing new cases will increase, in an orderly fashion, over the course of the next few months,” Graves said.
Still, Graves conceded the &#8220;complexity&#8221; of the investigation made it “incredibly difficult” to predict future cases and left room for tweaking the estimates as his office works to “evaluate changing resources and circumstances.”
At the time Graves sent the letter, the Justice Department reportedly closed in on its 900th arrest.
Howell, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/13/us/politics/trump-judge-james-boasberg.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">whose term as chief judge ends this week</a>, released a statement saying the court “continues to manage its caseload and trial calendar efficiently, notwithstanding the delays occasioned by the pandemic.”
“So far, the court has been able to manage the increased criminal caseload well,” Howell added. “Should a ‘surge’ of filings occur at a later date, the Court would assess what additional steps, if any, it should take.”
It&#8217;s been more than two years since January 6, 2021, the day a crowd of people entered the U.S. Capitol and disrupted lawmakers who were meeting to certify Biden’s 2020 election victory.

Two <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/boston" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Boston</a> police officers are out of the job in an apparent crackdown on vocal opposition to COVID vaccine mandates and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/january-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">January 6</a> social media posts.
Boston police Commissioner Michael Cox announced Sgt. Shana Cottone and Officer Joseph Abasciano were fired on Monday. Both ousted cops hired legal representation and plan to appeal the firings, <a href="https://www.wgbh.org/news/politics/2023/03/14/boston-police-department-fires-two-controversial-officers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to GBH News</a>.
Cottone leads Boston First Responders United and participated in anti-vaccine mandate protests with other members outside the home of Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu and elsewhere. In his statement, Cox said Cottone was found to have repeatedly violated several rules and procedures after six separate internal investigations over charges related to conduct, neglect of duty, respectful treatment, and public opinions.
“Cottone’s conduct in these cases reflects a pattern and inability to adhere to the rules and procedures of this department,&#8221; said Cox, who also noted Cottone’s &#8220;disciplinary history&#8221; was taken under consideration.
Abasciano, a retired Marine who was on paid medical leave, participated in &#8220;Back the Blue&#8221; rallies and also demonstrated against vaccine mandates. However it appears his firing concerns tweets criticizing former Vice President Mike Pence for not trying to stop President Joe Biden&#8217;s 2020 election victory on January 6, 2021.
The tweets, from a &#8220;Mailbox Joe&#8221; alias, accused Pence of treason. One particular missive directed at the vice president said, &#8220;I hope you never sleep well again,&#8221; <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/boston-police-capitol-riot-officer-joseph-abasciano-wbz-iteam/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to CBS News.</a>
&#8220;While in the Department’s employ, Abasciano authored a series of social media posts that called into question his ability to provide police services in an unbiased and objective manner,&#8221; Cox said. &#8220;Abasciano’s conduct impairs the operation of this Department and its employees by diminishing the Departments’ reputation and trust within the community. Due to this Mr. Abasciano is no longer a Boston Police officer.&#8221;
Cottone&#8217;s group, Boston First Responders United, <a href="https://twitter.com/BostonFRU/status/1635430121078390791" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released a statement claiming</a> the cases against Cottone and Abasciano were &#8220;politically motivated and retaliation for speaking out in support of personal choice and freedom of speech.&#8221;
Abasciano told <a href="https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/boston-police-department-fires-2-outspoken-officers/2996459/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the Associated Press</a> he was fired based on a “nonexistent social media policy,&#8221; and blamed a &#8220;clear cut case of political targeting, police/union corruption, retaliation and discrimination which ultimately boils down to my First Amendment rights being violated.&#8221;
During an appearance on <a href="https://www.wgbh.org/news/politics/2023/03/14/boston-police-department-fires-two-controversial-officers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Boston Public Radio</a>, Wu said she supports Cox&#8217;s decision to fire the officers. &#8220;Each has a separate set of actions that was detailed [and] investigated,&#8221; she added.

A federal judge on Monday blocked the questioning of witnesses on the bulk of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/fbi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FBI</a> messages disclosed unintentionally in the trial of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/proud-boys" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Proud Boys</a> leaders over the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/january-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">January 6</a>  Capitol riot.
The messages caused a stir last week after defense attorneys began questioning a witness about several FBI messages that prosecutors say contain classified information, according to <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/03/12/proud-boys-misconduct-discovery-internal-fbi-messages-00086695" target="_blank" rel="noopener">POLITICO</a>. Defense attorneys allege that prosecutors may be attempting to hide information damaging to their case behind classification barriers.
The government’s seditious conspiracy case against five Proud Boys leaders – Joe Biggs, Ethan Nordean, Dominic Pezzola, Zachary Rehl, and Enrique Tarrio – is one of the most important trials surrounding the January 6 riot, prosecutors say. The trial, which has already undergone numerous delays, was put on hold again last week after prosecutors handed over thousands of messages sent and received by FBI Special Agent Nicole Miller, one of the lead investigators into the Proud Boys&#8217; possible involvement in the January 6 breach.
The unintentional disclosure happened when prosecutors shared a file of messages retrieved from the FBI’s secure messaging system regarding prosecutors’ questioning of Miller. Prosecutors received the messages first from Miller, who obtained the messages through a filter on the FBI system; however, the filter also picked up some messages that prosecutors say are not pertinent to the case and should not have been released. Those messages were accidentally left in “hidden” rows of an Excel spreadsheet turned over to defense attorneys.
The disclosure came to light Thursday after Nordean’s defense attorney, Nicholas Smith, began <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/03/09/classified-info-proud-boys-trial-00086357" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cross-examining</a> Miller about the messages. Prosecutors objected, and U.S. District Court Judge Tim Kelly dismissed the jury until prosecutors and the defense could work out the disagreement.
The messages, defense attorneys say, suggest serious misconduct by the FBI related to the case against the Proud Boys defendants. Defense attorneys pointed to a conversation Miller and another agent had about one defendant’s decision to fight the government’s charges. Miller had learned about the defendant’s decision from messages the defendant, Rehl, had sent to his attorney, which defense attorneys say suggests a breach of attorney-client privilege.
Other messages that defense attorneys said looked suspicious included a message from one FBI agent asking his name be omitted from a report about a meeting with a confidential human source, an FBI agent’s opinion about the strength of the prosecution’s case against the Proud Boys, and discussion of an order to destroy 338 pieces of evidence.
Prosecutors responded to questions about the messages in a Sunday filing. On Monday, Judge Kelly <a href="https://twitter.com/kyledcheney/status/1635286105854734338" target="_blank" rel="noopener">blocked</a> the defense from questioning Miller on most of the messages, calling the kerfuffle over the mistakenly revealed communications “much ado about nothing” if prosecutors’ explanations are correct.
Kelly allowed questioning on the FBI agent who requested his name be omitted from a report on a meeting with an FBI source. The judge blocked questioning on the other concerns unless defense attorneys could supply persuasive arguments rebutting the Justice Department’s claims about the hidden messages.
Prosecutors said Sunday in an 18-page <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.229063/gov.uscourts.dcd.229063.687.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filing</a> that the defense team’s chief concerns are without merit and each “poses a substantial risk of confusing the jury and unfairly prejudicing the government.”
On the alleged breach of attorney-client privilege, the Justice Department said that Rehl waved his Sixth Amendment rights because the conversation “took place over a monitored jail email system that was subject to routine monitoring, which was made known both to the inmate (who had to sign an acknowledgment upon registration and click an acknowledgment each time he used the system) and to the attorney.”
The prosecutors dismissed the FBI agent’s assessment of the case against the defendants under prior court rulings. “As the Court has already explained, it is improper for counsel on either side to elicit testimony about an agent’s opinion on the strength of the evidence,” the filing says.
On the destruction of evidence, the Justice Department said the conversation was related to a 20-year-old, multi-co-defendant trial and not part of a malicious attempt to destroy evidence related to any January 6 prosecution.
The requested editing of the FBI source report, prosecutors said, resulted from a misunderstanding by the FBI agent who made the request.
Smith, Nordean’s attorney, filed a <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.228299/gov.uscourts.dcd.228299.688.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">motion</a> on Sunday raising questions about thousands of additional lines of messages that the Department of Justice removed from the Excel spreadsheet.

Word that the New York state regulators had closed down the bank came on Sunday, just two days after the California-based <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/regulators-shut-down-major-tech-bank-after-run-on-savings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Silicon Valley Bank collapsed</a>. The activity has generated fears that jittery depositors could try to withdraw their savings from lenders around the country, potentially destabilizing the banking system. But back in 2021, Signature Bank didn’t want one billionaire’s business.
“We witnessed the President of the United States encouraging the rioters and refraining from calling in the National Guard to protect the Congress in its performance of duty,” Signature Bank said in a statement at the time. “At this point in time, to ensure the peaceful transition of power, we believe the appropriate action would be the resignation of the President of the United States, which is in the best interests of our nation and the American people.”
CNBC reported that Signature Bank was deeply invested in volatile cryptocurrency and had $110.4 billion in total assets and $88.6 billion in total deposits as of the end of 2022. After Sunday’s move by state regulators, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation took control of the bank.
The shutdown of Silicon Valley Bank, the nation’s 16th-largest lender, was the biggest collapse of a bank since Washington Mutual in 2008. Federal officials insisted Sunday that all Silicon Valley and Signature Bank&#8217;s depositors will be made whole.
&#8220;We are also announcing a similar systemic risk exception for Signature Bank, New York, New York, which was closed today by its state chartering authority,” federal officials from agencies including the Treasury Department said in a joint statement Sunday. “All depositors of this institution will be made whole,&#8221; noting &#8220;as with the resolution of Silicon Valley Bank, no losses will be borne by the taxpayer.”
It was not clear how depositors would get their money back. The FDIC insures deposits up to $250,000, but Silicon Valley Bank is believed to have held massive cash reserves for tech companies, wineries, and venture capitalists. Further clouding matters, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on a Sunday morning news show there would be <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/no-bailout-for-collapsed-silicon-valley-bank-yellen-says/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">no bailout of Silicon Valley Bank</a>.
In addition to being heavily invested in cryptocurrencies, both Silicon Valley and Signature banks were advocates of so-called Environmental, Social, and Governance policies, which put woke ideologies ahead of maximizing profits.

Other lenders were reportedly asked to bid on taking over the assets of Silicon Valley Bank, although at least one, PNC, said it was not interested.
President Joe Biden sought to assure depositors in a speech early Monday.
&#8220;Americans can have confidence that the banking system is safe, your deposits will be there when you need them,&#8221; he said. &#8220;No losses will be borne by the taxpayers.&#8221;

Former President Donald Trump’s new debut single with the J6 Prison Choir, “Justice for All,” has surpassed career musicians like Miley Cyrus, Tim McGraw, and Morgan Wallen on the iTunes charts as of Saturday.  
Released in early March, the song is a tribute to the prisoners of the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. It includes <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/zacheverson/2023/03/02/trump-and-jan-6-prisoners-collaborate-on-new-song-called-justice-for-all/?sh=42dddd941662" target="_blank" rel="noopener">roughly</a> 20 prisoners singing the national anthem and a recitation of the pledge of allegiance by former President Trump. The ending of the song includes the prisoners chanting, “USA!”
“J6 Prison Choir consists of individuals who have been incarcerated as a result of their involvement in the January 6, 2021 protest for election integrity after President Donald J. Trump stated ‘I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,’” the J6 Prison Choir <a href="https://j6prisonchoir.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a> states. “The J6PC continues to make their voices heard through the power of music and sings ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ every evening before bed.” 
The song was <a href="https://variety.com/2023/digital/news/january-6-prisoners-choir-song-number-one-itunes-donald-trump-1235550422/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. Proceeds from the song go to “certain J6 families in need,” a press <a href="https://fightwithkash.com/articles/donald-j-trump-and-j6-prison-choir-release-moving-tribute-to-j6-victims" target="_blank" rel="noopener">release</a> from Kash Patel, a former Trump official who played a role in recording the song, said. The J6 Prison Choir reportedly asked former President Trump to take part in the project. A campaign adviser <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/04/politics/january-6-prisoners-choir-trump/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> CNN the song “doesn’t have anything to do” with Trump’s presidential campaign.

On Thursday, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability launched an investigation into the issue, sending a letter to D.C. Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser requesting January 6 detainee complaints and other documents, <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/03/10/house-gop-probing-alleged-mistreatment-of-jan-6-rioters-in-jail/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the New York Post. 
The <a href="https://greene.house.gov/uploadedfiles/dc-jail-letter-to-muriel-bowser.pdf?utm_campaign=155-566" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a>, signed by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA), and Committee Chair Rep. James Comer (R-KY), says, “Eyewitness accounts of conditions at the DC Jail Facilities—particularly regarding the treatment of January 6 detainees—paint a picture of despair, hopelessness, and a severe abuse of justice.” 
If elected for a second term, former President Trump has <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/09/01/trump-jan-6-rioters-pardon/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> he would “look very, very strongly about pardons.”

New videos released by Tucker Carlson at Fox News suggest that the January 6 kerfuffle was actually a mere ruckus except for brief moments when it became a fracas before settling into a foofaraw followed by a to-do interrupted by a bobbery which then expanded into a melee before dying out in a pother — that is, if it wasn’t just a bunch of idiots charging into the Capitol building followed by another bunch of idiots trying to prevent the first bunch of idiots from certifying the election of a new bunch of idiots, in which case all we can say about January 6 is that the capitol was filled with idiots just like any other day when congress is in session.  
The media hoo-hah over the hurly-burly became a full-blown williwaw after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy gave Carlson the new videos of the ruction or possibly foofaraw, depending on who&#8217;s telling the story. Democrats immediately objected to the showing of the videos saying Carlson was cherry-picking scenes of the pandemonium in order to make it appear to be a mere hoopla whereas they preferred to cherry-pick scenes of the hoopla to make it seem like pandemonium.
Senate Majority Leader and demonic lying dirtbag Chuck Schumer said, [Quote] “It is absolutely despicable for Carlson’s distortion of events to interrupt our distortion of events when anyone can see from our distortion of events that this was much worse than it looks in his distortion of events. You didn’t see the news media pulling this sort of thing when Adolf Hitler was trying to overplay the burning of the Reichstag, although perhaps that isn‘t the best possible analogy since it&#8217;s exactly the same sort of thing we’re doing and makes us look like Hitler.” [unquote]
Republican opponents of Schumer responded by accusing the Senate leader and demonic lying dirtbag of being a demonic lying dirtbag, but Schumer claimed he was being completely transparent since demonic lying dirtbag was actually right there in his job description and, anyway, you can tell what he is just by looking at him so he’s obviously not trying to hide anything.
The scenes in the Carlson videos do suggest that events at the kerfuffle differed from the bobbery described by House Democrats when they were dishonestly suppressing dissenting voices in order to give their version of the bobbery which was really just a kerfuffle. For instance, while the guy who dressed in a furry horned hat and called himself Q-Anon Shaman was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading to a charge of joining a bunch of idiots to disrupt a bunch of idiots, the video shows Capitol police actually guiding Q-Anon Shaman around the building as if they were giving him a tour. However, the videos do confirm that he was, in fact, dressed in a furry horned hat, which is also punishable by four years in prison or at least should be.
In response to the Fox News report, the media rushed to defend the Democrat narrative by forming a circle around it and beating their shields while chanting loudly in order to drown out the sound of everyone ignoring them while watching Fox News. CNN, in a secret meeting held on air during prime time to make sure no one was watching, said the Fox videos were [quote-unquote] dangerous because they revealed that CNN had been spewing skewed propaganda which might cause them to lose some of their zero viewers so that they would have negative viewers, a metaphysical impossibility which might cause reality to implode into fragments of incoherent blather, so that the entire universe would be indistinguishable from Don Lemon. 
The New York Times, a former newspaper, ran a headline — and this is a real headline — that said [quote] “Republican Lawmakers Split over Carlson’s False January 6 Claims.” When asked how they knew the claims were false, Times editors replied, “It’s right there in the headline.”
President and Venal Houseplant Joe Biden also condemned the Carlson videos, and drove the point home by falling up a flight of stairs into an airplane where he found one of his male political appointees dressed as a woman and stealing his luggage, causing Biden to fall back down the stairs, where he bumped into one of his male political appointees dressed as a woman and calling for the sexual mutilation of children, a scene of such chaos, incompetence and moral depravity that it caused a bunch of idiots to storm the Capitol building demanding that the bunch of idiots already in the Capitol building should refuse to certify Biden’s election which was already certified. So it was quite a foofaraw. Or a hoo-ha, depending on who you ask.

Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Wednesday he plans on releasing thousands of hours of U.S. Capitol riot footage from the surveillance cameras on January 6, 2021.
&#8220;We just want to make sure we go through them all, and it takes time,&#8221; McCarthy told <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/03/09/exclusive-watch-speaker-mccarthy-vows-full-public-release-of-capitols-january-6-surveillance-tapes/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Breitbart News</a>.
McCarthy told the outlet his intentions during his first exclusive interview since Fox News host Tucker Carlson aired unseen security footage from the Capitol riot. In some of the 44,000 hours of tape, Carlson produced segments showcasing an opposing narrative from legacy media outlets and the now-dissolved House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack.
Carlson and his team received exclusive access to more than 40,000 hours of security camera footage as part of a deal made with McCarthy, who said he opted for the disclosure for the sake of transparency and to counter the &#8220;politicization&#8221; he believes had been fostered by former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and the January 6th Committee.
&#8220;This is all about transparency,&#8221; McCarthy said when asked why he released the tapes.&#8221; I think it&#8217;s better for transparency that anyone can make their own decision up, and as we walk through these, there are many more hours of tapes than the January 6 committee told us. It&#8217;s not 14,000. It&#8217;s 42,000 hours.&#8221;
McCarthy assured reporters that Capitol Police were part of the process of sharing clips with Carlson&#8217;s team and security would be &#8220;taken care of.&#8221; Still, Capitol Police told The Hill on Monday that the agency requested &#8220;that any clips be shown to us first for a security review&#8221; but that so far, it had &#8220;only been given the ability to preview a single clip out of the multiple clips that aired.&#8221;
McCarthy told Breitbart News that Carlson sifted through the footage aired so far to block out potential security risks, such as exit areas. According to the House speaker, Capitol Police reviewed the tapes and addressed one concern, which the team mitigated.
Carlson wouldn&#8217;t be the only journalist to gain access to the tapes, McCarthy said.
&#8220;Like any news organization, different people get exclusives,&#8221; he said, noting that CNN and the January 6 Committee had previously received footage that the public watched &#8220;all the time, and nobody complained.&#8221;
Democrat Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, who chaired the House January 6 Committee, told <a href="https://apnews.com/article/jan-6-tucker-carlson-capitol-riot-mccarthy-adc245e22f50b076925eb72948062808" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Associated Press</a> that McCarthy&#8217;s decision to release the security footage selectively was &#8220;a dereliction of duty.&#8221;
&#8220;The speaker decided it was more important to give in to a Fox host who spews lies and propaganda than to protect the Capitol,&#8221; Thompson said in a statement, adding January 6 was &#8220;one of the darkest days in the history of our democracy.&#8221;
Thompson later confessed the Committee themselves <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/j6-committee-chair-claims-members-didnt-have-access-to-footage-shifts-blame-to-staffers-and-abc-producer/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">never had access</a> to the footage, and it was only viewable by staff.
&#8220;I&#8217;m actually not aware of any member of the Committee who had access. We had a team of employees who kind of went through the video,&#8221; he said, according to <a href="https://twitter.com/alaynatreene/status/1633578749374464005" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a>.
In response to Carlson&#8217;s expose, Democratic Majority Senator Chuck Schumer called on Fox News to silence Carlson, claiming that he is endangering American safety and those hurt on January 6.
&#8220;I urge Fox News to order Carlson to cease propagating the big lie on his network and to level with their viewers about the truth, the truth, behind the efforts to mislead the public. Conduct like theirs is just asking for another January 6 to happen,&#8221; Schumer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tuesday-afternoon-update-reaction-to-tucker-carlsons-j6-vids-americans-killed-by-drug-cartel-nord-stream-explosion-update" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.

In response to his remarks on the Senate floor, McCarthy told Breitbart News he wished Schumer would read the Constitution.
&#8220;The Democrats always go to censorship,&#8221; McCarthy said. &#8220;You watched what they did with the laptop. You watched what they did with Twitter. They want to use government as much as they can to censor what people can see and what people can know.
&#8220;This is the difference between us,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I believe in the Constitution. I trust the American people, and you should just have the ability to have all the information and let people make their own judgment.&#8221;

The Swamp&#8217;s reaction to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-jan-6-video-changes-narrative-brings-knives-out-for-tucker-carlson-says-ben-shapiro" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News&#8217;s Tucker Carlson</a> airing of less than two hours total of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/history-has-changed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">January 6 video footage</a> proves that at best, the powers that be think you are really dumb and cannot handle doing your own research while weighing competing narratives and drawing your own conclusions about world events.
And that is at best. 
At worst, and perhaps far more likely, the entire legacy media and leaders from both political parties are criticizing Carlson because his footage has changed the historic record and disrupted their narrative.
Yet, for the purposes of this column, let us give folks like President Joe Biden and Senators Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) the benefit of the doubt; Let us pretend that they really do care only about protecting democracy and the unvarnished truth. Let us also say that they did not use January 6 to tarnish former President Donald J. Trump and more than 74 million voters with all their might.
Even if that were true, their reaction would still be insulting and belittling to the American people.
As reported, Schumer called for Fox News to silence its eight o&#8217;clock host and called Carlson&#8217;s first segment a &#8220;dangerous, unforgivable attempt to destabilize our democracy and rewrite the history of the worst attack on our constitution since the Civil War.&#8221;
He was not alone. McConnell also took umbrage with the news network for allowing one of its opinion commentators to go against the official government narrative.
&#8220;It was a mistake, in my view, for Fox News to depict this in a way that’s completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol thinks,&#8221; he said. Indeed, the U.S. Capitol Police also slammed Carlson for his coverage.
Biden also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-scolds-republicans-over-tucker-carlson-airing-january-6-tapes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">weighed</a> in on Wednesday, in part saying, &#8220;How dare anyone diminish or deny the hell they went through? I stand with the Capitol Police.&#8221;
Again, treating these folks in the most Pollyannish way possible, it is evident that they think the common man is too stupid to intelligently watch Carlson&#8217;s reporting, read the official January 6 Committee transcript, and scour the internet to make up their own opinions.
Our elected leaders — and I use that term loosely — in Washington believe that information must first flow through government hands, be packaged in a way that advances The Swamp&#8217;s interests, and then parceled out to approved &#8220;news sources&#8221; — again, using the word &#8220;news&#8221; loosely — where it will be regurgitated as propaganda.
Carlson, obviously, does not fit that bill — which is why they want to stop any more J6 content from getting out to the public — which is all nonsense and patronizing.
As left-wing radio host Jimmy Dore recently <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUNYOJASD1w" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> best-selling author Michael Malice on a similar topic,  &#8220;I don&#8217;t need a person in the government or in Silicon Valley to pre-read my news for me and decide if I can read it or not.&#8221;
You don&#8217;t need somebody to pre-read your news for you either. You are more than likely capable of reading many different sources and relying on the facts to ascertain the truth as well.
January 6th isn&#8217;t a one-off news story either. As readers well know, the lapdog media and their Beltway allies have consistently pushed the idea that there is only one accepted way to report on COVID-19 and its vaccine, the war in Ukraine, and other national news stories.
That state-supported singular messaging always seems to make Washington, D.C. stronger. Any journalist — citizen or corporate — who dares think differently is deemed a threat who must be stopped. Any American who entertains that the government is lying, or not being completely forthright, is treated with contempt and derision.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle — which would mean The Swamp both hates you and thinks you are mindless.

Biden&#8217;s FCC Nominee Withdraws
President Biden’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-nominee-goes-down-in-flames-after-ruthless-onslaught-from-ted-cruz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">polarizing nominee</a> to head the Federal Communications Commission has withdrawn from consideration amid significant backlash – and Democrat Senator Joe Manchin’s announcement that he would not back her.
Gigi Sohn, a former Obama official who would have been the first openly gay FCC commissioner, backs the controversial idea of net neutrality and had been vying for the job for 16 months. But in a statement Tuesday, Manchin dealt a significant blow to her chances, saying, “Especially now, the FCC must remain above the toxic partisanship that Americans are sick and tired of, and Ms. Sohn has clearly shown she is not the person to do that.” Sohn withdrew within hours of Manchin’s statement.
Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, who has been one of the more outspoken critics of Sohn’s nomination, declared Sohn’s withdrawal a “major victory” for bipartisanship, stating, “The FCC is not a place for partisan activists; free speech is too important.”
McConnell Bashes Tucker Carlson, Fox News

Novak Djokovic Denied Entry Into America
In the world of sports, we have the latest regarding the saga of one the world’s best Tennis Players, Novak Djokovic. Crain and Company co-host David Cone reported:
<blockquote>&#8220;Djokovic has once again been denied entry into the U.S. due to his refusal to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The number one player in the world requested a medical waiver to participate in the Miami Open and the Indian Wells Masters, but was turned away by Homeland Security. 
This comes after Djokovic was forced to miss the US and Australian Opens last year, two of the four major tennis tournaments. Moderna, one of the largest vaccine makers, is one of the official sponsors of the US Open.&#8221;</blockquote>

DOJ Accuses Louisville Police Of Violating Civil Rights
The Department of Justice <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doj-accuses-louisville-police-of-civil-rights-violations-discrimination-after-breonna-taylor-investigation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> its findings in its civil rights investigation into the Louisville Police Department following the death of Breonna Taylor in 2020. The Daily Wire’s Tim Pearce joined Afternoon Update to walk us through that report:
<blockquote>The DOJ investigated Louisville Metro Police for two years, and now alleges that the city’s officers regularly, quote, “engage in a pattern or practice of conduct that deprives people of their rights under the Constitution and Federal Law.” Those findings claim that LMPD uses excessive force, relies on invalid search warrants, discriminates against black people, and unlawfully stops, detains, and arrests individuals during routine traffic and street stops. The DOJ report also claims that &#8216;Some officers have videotaped themselves throwing drinks at pedestrians from their cars; insulted people with disabilities; and called Black people &#8216;monkeys,&#8217; &#8216;animal,&#8217; and &#8216;boy.&#8221; 
The DOJ also announced that it will be reviewing Memphis, TN police department&#8217;s use of force and de-escalation policies in wake of the killing of Tyre Nichols.&#8221;</blockquote>
