President Donald Trump trashed ABC News in a Sunday post on his Truth Social platform, criticizing the network specifically for giving air time to former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile.
Trump referenced the recent lawsuit against ABC News and Democrat strategist-turned-anchor George Stephanopoulos — which he won, to the tune of $16,000,000 — and suggested that Brazile&#8217;s coverage might leave the network vulnerable to another similar lawsuit.

Trump&#8217;s post came within hours of Brazile&#8217;s appearance on Sunday morning&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;This Week,&#8221; where she had criticized Trump&#8217;s tariff plan and claimed that it had &#8220;created a level of uncertainty that the American people can’t afford.&#8221;
She also lashed out at the president for rescinding Secret Service protection for former Vice President Kamala Harris — a privilege that former President Joe Biden had extended her in his final days as president — and claimed that Trump was only stripping her security detail because he was &#8220;petty&#8221; and &#8220;vindictive.&#8221;
Brazile, as Trump noted in his post, left her previous position as a commentator at CNN after it was revealed that she had <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/donna-brazile-resigns-cnn-after-another-wikileak-frank-camp">passed details about debate questions</a> to twice-failed presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 presidential debate held in St. Louis, Missouri.

Maher began with a comment from former President Barack Obama&#8217;s campaign strategist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-obama-adviser-doubts-wisdom-of-biden-staying-in-2024-race" target="_blank" rel="noopener">David Axelrod</a>, who questioned the wisdom of Biden seeking a second term — and Biden&#8217;s response, which was reportedly to lash out at Axelrod and call him names.

Maher agreed, but Brazile continued.
&#8220;You know so, Betty White lived to be 99. Mick Jagger is still twisting his a**,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;I have been the one making that case year after year here against ageism. I always said it’s a case by case basis but &#8230;&#8221; Maher agreed, with one caveat: But for that argument to have teeth at all, you also have to be the person who can go, Yeah, but this is the case.&#8221;
&#8220;And I’ve said it before. Do I think Joe Biden can do the job? Absolutely. I don’t think he can win the job. And that’s what I care about. He’s going to lose. Because the people think he’s too old. And perception is reality. I’m sorry,&#8221; he concluded.
Brazile wasn&#8217;t convinced, however, and she pointed out the fact that people had predicted Biden would lose before: &#8220;I do not count out Joe Biden.&#8221;

Maher noted that Democratic strategist David Axelrod recently said that Biden should consider getting out the race because he might lose to whoever the Republican nominee is.

A well-known Democratic strategist is worried about her party&#8217;s struggle to achieve diversity for the 2o24 convention that will pick a presidential nominee.
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donna-brazile" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donna Brazile</a>, a two-time former acting chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), recently told contemporaries how there appears to be a troubling trend in key areas, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10/03/democrats-convention-delegates-diversity-problem-00119574" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to POLITICO</a>.
“I keep looking at these diversity goals in big states like New York, like California. And, for some reason, whether it’s the African American community, black community, the LGBTQ+ community, or Hispanic community, [the] numbers continue to decrease,” she said.
The news outlet noted that in a follow-up interview about delegate plans, Brazile said, &#8220;It raises a red flag in my judgment.&#8221; Brazile added, &#8220;And then I try to find out what the hell is it.”
President Joe Biden is running for a second term with Vice President Kamala Harris as his running mate. Though the Biden-Harris ticket so far dominates in polling on the Democratic Party&#8217;s primary field, surveys have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/latest-2024-presidential-polling-trump-rises-above-biden-again" target="_blank" rel="noopener">signaled vulnerability</a> in the general election amid low approval ratings and anxiety about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/another-poll-shows-grim-numbers-for-biden-on-age-question" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden&#8217;s age</a> (80) and fitness to continue serving.
Pollsters have also found that Biden <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pollsters-see-2024-weakness-for-biden-among-non-white-voters" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appears to be dropping off</a> among non-white voters, particularly among the black and Latino communities, at a time in history when Democrats have <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/diversity-is-the-democrats-strength--and-their-challenge/2020/02/16/abf84ca4-4f70-11ea-9b5c-eac5b16dafaa_story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">touted diversity as a strength</a>.

At the Democratic National Convention, which is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/democrats-choose-crime-ridden-city-for-2024-convention" target="_blank" rel="noopener">set to take place in Chicago</a> during August as the <a href="https://www.ncsl.org/elections-and-campaigns/2024-state-primary-election-dates" target="_blank" rel="noopener">primary election cycle comes to a close</a>, delegates will gather to formally select the party&#8217;s nominee.
POLITICO reported that Brazile emphasized the Democratic Party still has time to grapple with the diversity issue and said she would bring it up again in an upcoming meeting. The news outlet noted the DNC disagreed with Brazile&#8217;s view of the situation but declined to comment further for the report.
Maria Cardona, another Democratic strategist involved with the committee, acknowledged that members did concede a troubling pattern. “It seemed like the numbers for this cycle in some of the states [are] lower than from last cycle,” Cardona said, reportedly adding that party officials are still &#8220;peeling that onion&#8221; for a better understanding.

&#8220;I’ve seen two movements outside of the social justice movements in my life on the political side,&#8221; she said. &#8220;One was the Reagan movement. [Ronald] Reagan had a hold on his base. Reihan Salam, the president of the Manhattan Institute and a contributing writer for The Atlantic, <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/week-transcript-9-3-23-vivek-ramaswamy-sen/story?id=102886138">noted</a> that Trump has successfully galvanized people who are &#8220;suspicious of authority&#8221; and &#8220;what they see as the establishment&#8221; class.
&#8220;So, actually, the fact that so many folks look aghast on this, including many traditional Republicans, is something that is actually reinforcing this kind of support,&#8221; Salam added. &#8220;You see a systematic shift in where voters who are more suspicious, less trusting, where they&#8217;re giving their support, and it&#8217;s to Donald Trump.&#8221;

Leftist politicians and pundits expressed rage on Thursday after a landmark Supreme Court decision was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/supreme-court-issues-landmark-ruling-on-affirmative-action-at-universities" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> that struck down the race-based admission policies of Harvard and the University of North Carolina. 
In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court court ruled that the race-based admissions programs at the schools violate the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment, drawing the ire of prominent Democrat politicians and leftist commentators.
Former House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said the ruling diminished &#8220;hard-fought progress for racial justice.&#8221;
&#8220;Chief Justice Roberts’ majority opinion does violence to justice and fairness in America,&#8221; she <a href="https://twitter.com/SpeakerPelosi/status/1674443650216910849" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> on Twitter. &#8220;In contrast, Justice Jackson’s powerful dissent is inspiring to us, as we continue to fight to widen the path to success for all Americans.&#8221;
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said the decision was &#8220;misguided.&#8221; &#8220;The Supreme Court ruling has put a giant roadblock in our country&#8217;s march for racial justice,&#8221; Schumer <a href="https://www.democrats.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/majority-leader-schumer-statement-on-supreme-court-decision-on-affirmative-action" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;The consequences of this decision will be felt immediately and across the country, as students of color will face an admission cycle next year with fewer opportunities to attend the same colleges and universities than their parents and older siblings.&#8221;

The majority opinion, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, said that universities could allow applicants to mention personal experiences of racism when applying for colleges, but that there could not be explicit policies based on the applicant&#8217;s race. 
“Eliminating racial discrimination means eliminating all of it,” Roberts <a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/22pdf/20-1199_hgdj.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> in the opinion for the majority.
The ruling came after a group called Students for Fair Admissions <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/scotus-hinting-it-might-throw-out-affirmative-action-used-in-college-admissions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sued</a> the schools, accusing the institutions of unfairly factoring race into their admissions processes. The group pointed to the high test scores of Asian-American and white applicants who were rejected.

“Affirmative action is systemic discrimination. I’m thankful the Supreme Court held this discrimination violates the constitution [sic]. Admissions should be decided on merit — not by color of skin,” Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) <a href="https://twitter.com/SenTomCotton/status/1674425866645012488" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> on Twitter. 
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) <a href="https://twitter.com/chiproytx/status/1674426297530093568" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> conservatives should be careful not to allow universities to get around the ruling. 
“When the schools still take steps to accomplish the race-based objective, will we still fund higher ed at high levels and subsidize loans to those schools?  Asking for a friend…,” he said.

Former Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ) unloaded on an ABC News panel Sunday morning, firing back after fellow panelist Donna Brazile claimed that President Joe Biden deserved credit for uniting the world against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The discussion on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;This Week&#8221; began with anchor George Stephanopoulos and Jonathan Karl discussing continued calls from Ukraine for a NATO-assisted no-fly zone — and the fact that many Republicans, like Senator Marco Rubio (FL), who were often critical of Biden appeared to be on the same page in saying that would escalate into a war with Russia.
Stephanopoulos then noted that the United States did appear to be preparing to <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/nato-countries-have-greenlight-to-send-fighter-jets-to-ukraine-blinken-says/">send planes</a> to European nations in order to &#8220;backfill&#8221; supplies as those nations gave planes to Ukraine.
&#8220;It should have happened a long time ago. I would disagree with Donna on this one,&#8221; Christie said. &#8220;A president did unite the world. It was Zelensky, not Biden. He was very clear about what leadership was supposed to look like. We should have been arming the Ukrainians for the last year. We weren’t. We should have been doing much more on domestic production of oil. Instead we’re going backwards and gave Putin the card to hold us hostage and with Nord Stream 2 we gave him the card to hold Europe hostage.&#8221;
&#8220;I believe if we aggressively armed Ukraine from the time Joe Biden got in office, if he continued the Trump policy and continued to arm Ukraine –&#8221; Christie continued.

Brazile pivoted back to Christie&#8217;s point, claiming that Trump had &#8220;tried to play a game&#8221; with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
&#8220;He tried to play a game and was impeached for it,&#8221; Brazile said, insisting that Biden was the one who deserved credit for a Europe unified again Russian aggression. &#8220;I think the president has rallied the country, rallied NATO. Gotten the Germans – look at the countries coming to help the Ukrainians.&#8221;
&#8220;You think that’s because of Joe Biden?&#8221; Christie asked.
&#8220;Yes, I believe Joe Biden has shown leadership,&#8221; she said.

Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair Donna Brazile is reportedly out at Fox News after word broke Friday that she joined ABC News as a contributor.
“My contract expired in March and they extended it for a few more years,” Brazile said in a statement to <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/tv/just-in-donna-brazile-leaves-fox-news-for-abc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mediaite</a>. “Ultimately, I decided to return back to ABC. Great experience for me.”
“There’s an audience on Fox News that doesn’t hear enough from Democrats,” Brazile said in 2019, the year she joined Fox News. “We have to engage that audience and show Americans of every stripe what we stand for rather than retreat into our ‘safe spaces’ where we simply agree with each other.”
Brazile appeared last weekend on ABC News&#8217; &#8220;This Week&#8221; with host George Stephanopoulos, where she was described as a contributor. A spokesperson for the Walt Disney-owned media outlet confirmed she had joined the outlet, according to Variety.
As Variety further <a href="https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/donna-brazile-abc-news-contributor-fox-news-1234984007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a>:

On Tuesday, Fox News contributor and former Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile became irate on &#8220;Fox &amp; Friends&#8221; when speaking with conservative pundit Tammy Bruce about the current wave of violence breaking out across America. The moment became so heated that co-host Brian Kilmeade had to cut away.
The heated exchange began when Tammy Bruce highlighted the fact that few if any, Democrats have spoken out against the violence unfolding in cities across America.
“No Democratic has spoken out against the nature of what’s happening in Kenosha, Portland, Seattle, Baltimore, New York, Chicago. Americans have a choice, and the fact is that the Republicans are showing an expanse of what the American sensibility and what the American future is,&#8221; Bruce asserted. &#8220;It&#8217;s not some discussion over a seminar of complaints due to what you want to win the next election.&#8221;
Brazile began speaking over Bruce, comparing her to a choir singing from a scratched record.
&#8220;This is why the choir sounds like a note coming from a scratched record,&#8221; said Brazile. &#8220;It sounds like I will never be an American in your world, because, after 400 years, my family cannot walk out of this house without fearing violence.&#8221;
Though Bruce asserted that &#8220;of course&#8221; Brazile is an American, she continued to press the point.
“That’s not what anyone said,&#8221; Kilmeade interjected.
For almost a minute, Donna Brazile kept badgering the point, not letting Tammy Bruce inject a single coherent response. Throughout her lamentation, Brazile accused Bruce of trying to erase her history and ignore the pain of black Americans.
“She ignores the reality of what is happening. She is ignoring it because I see it. Tammy, I see it every day. I see the violence, Tammy,&#8221; said Brazile. &#8220;Coming from someone who does not live my existence — you do not recognize my existence, Tammy. You do not recognize my existence!&#8221;
As Brian Kilmeade tried to calm the situation by pointing out that the two were brought on to talk about night one of the RNC, Bruce said it was &#8220;a shame&#8221; that the conversation went off the rails the way it did.
&#8220;You are the shameful one. You are the shameful one. You cannot erase my history,&#8221; Brazile defiantly shot back.
Finally, Brian Kilmeade cut away from the moment and said, &#8220;That’s not going well. Not too sure anybody benefited from that.&#8221;

“I know what’s going on, they are scared of Democrats coming together to defeat Donald Trump,” she said. “They need to be focusing on what we are focusing on in the Democratic Party, and that is preventing foreign interference in our election. Stop using Russian talking points, Madame chairwoman. Stop using it. It pisses me off.”
Later on Tuesday, Brazile said that she was speaking &#8220;truth to power.&#8221;
&#8220;Let me just say this: As long as I&#8217;m alive, I&#8217;m going to speak truth to power,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And I want to make sure that the chairwoman – I know what her job is like – but I want her to understand, to respect the process on the Democratic side &#8230; Democracy is messy, but do not tell the world that the Democratic Party is trying to rig it for one candidate.&#8221;
On Wednesday morning, during an appearance on &#8220;Fox &amp; Friends,&#8221; <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/tv/donna-brazille-references-go-to-hell-drama-on-fox-and-friends-i-was-a-bad-girl-yesterday/">Brazile said</a> she was a &#8220;bad girl&#8221; and a &#8220;hot sister.&#8221;

Former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile, the woman who infamously leaked town hall questions to the Hillary Clinton campaign during the 2016 primary, told RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to &#8220;go to hell&#8221; twice during a Fox News segment for suggesting that the DNC is trying to rig the primary against Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
At the top of the segment, Brazile was asked to give her take on McDaniel saying that the Democrats may end up having a brokered convention, which will likely result in superdelegates voting against Bernie Sanders.
&#8220;First of all, I want to talk to my Republicans. First of all, stay the hell out of our race, stay the hell out of our race,&#8221; Brazile began. &#8220;I get sick and tired of listening to Republicans tell me and the Democrats about our process. First of all, they don&#8217;t have a process. They are canceling primaries. They have a winner takes all. They don&#8217;t have the kind of democracy that we see on the Democratic side.&#8221;
Brazile then proceeded to tell Donna to &#8220;go to hell&#8221; while accusing her and the Republicans of using &#8220;Russian talking points&#8221; to divide the Democrats.

In conclusion, Brazile asked Republicans to prevent proof of the DNC rigging the primary against Bernie, seemingly unaware that she herself is living proof of that fact, given that <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com.au/donna-brazile-leaked-question-hillary-clinton-cnn-debate-2016-10?r=US&amp;IR=T">she leaked questions</a> to the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2016.
&#8220;To infer that we are trying to prevent one candidate over another, that&#8217;s not happening,&#8221; concluded Brazile. &#8220;And if there is any proof, Madame Chairwoman, any proof, Mr. President, that we are trying to somehow or another change this process for one candidate, show the proof.&#8221;
In 2017, <a href="https://www.politico.com/story/2017/11/05/donna-brazile-rigged-democrats-clinton-sanders-244566">Brazile stated</a> she found &#8220;no evidence&#8221; that the DNC rigged the primary against Bernie Sanders after writing in her memoir of an &#8220;unethical&#8221; agreement between the Clinton campaign and DNC that allegedly enabled Hillary to exert &#8220;control of the party long before she became its nominee.&#8221;

Discussions about the Democratic Party rigging the primary against Bernie Sanders heated up on Monday when Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) dropped out of the presidential race just one day after Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Even more suspicious is Sen. Elizabeth Warren&#8217;s (D-MA) decision to stay in the race despite having won fewer delegates than either Klobuchar or Buttigieg, further adding to speculation that she&#8217;s purposely trying to siphon votes away from Bernie Sanders.

Former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile predicts that Joe Biden&#8217;s presidential bid faces some tough waters ahead in light of the &#8220;early warning&#8221; signs this past week when he flip-flopped on his support for the Hyde Amendment, which bars federal dollars from funding abortions.
Earlier this week, the Biden campaign boldly differentiated itself from the 2020 crowd by taking the moderate position of supporting the Hyde Amendment. However, after several Democrats and hardcore progressives used the opportunity to blast him as a squish with no commitment to the abortion cause, Biden immediately <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/48137/watch-biden-flips-using-taxpayer-money-fund-james-barrett">threw himself behind</a> federally-funded abortions and even blamed Republicans for his lack of principles in both directions.
&#8220;We now see so many Republican governors denying healthcare for millions of the most poorest [sic] and most vulnerable Americans by refusing even Medicaid expansion, I can&#8217;t justify leaving millions of women out of access to care they need and the ability to exercise their constitutionally protected right,&#8221; Biden told a crowd supporters. &#8220;If I believe healthcare is a right, as I do, I can no longer support an amendment that makes that right dependent on someone&#8217;s ZIP code.&#8221;
Speaking on <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/donna-brazile-joe-biden-terrible-week">Fox News</a>, Donna Brazile said the former vice president had a &#8220;terrible week&#8221; and that he could be in serious trouble if he does not properly recover.
&#8220;The vice president really had a terrible week. When I say terrible, it&#8217;s not catastrophic, he can recover,&#8221; Brazile said on &#8220;America&#8217;s Newsroom. &#8220;I believe this should give the Biden campaign some early warning that they need to steady themselves as they begin to focus on rolling out more policy decisions or making more changes to their previous positions.&#8221;
Despite that, Brazile agreed that Biden made the right political decision by flipping on the Hyde Amendment, saying it highlights his &#8220;strong record of leadership on women&#8217;s issues.&#8221; She, however, is not the only prominent Democrat to point out that the shift may prove costly if Biden does not get a rhythm going.
Former Obama campaign chief strategist David Axelrod <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/06/07/axelrod_bidens_flip_flop_flip_on_abortion_funding_raises_questions_about_his_campaign.html">said that Biden&#8217;s flip-flop is a serious red flag</a> and doubted whether the former vice president can &#8220;go the distance.&#8221;
&#8220;I think that this was a parable about Biden that goes to question marks about his candidacy. His rollout was flawless, in my view, and he&#8217;s had a very solid spring, but this underscores questions that people have had about whether he can go the distance,&#8221; Axelrod said on CNN. &#8220;One, because the virtue of having a long record and comforting people and being a figure of stability has the flip side that you have to defend positions that you&#8217;ve had over the course of 45 years in politics, some of which may have been acceptable in the day and not acceptable now. We see that on this issue of the Hyde Amendment, but the other is the way this thing came down.&#8221;
Joe Biden&#8217;s campaign adviser, Symone Sanders, has <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/447452-biden-adviser-explains-his-reversal-on-hyde-amendment-support">pushed back</a> against the claims that the candidate is inauthentic or pandering. &#8220;He&#8217;s authentic.
