A high school English teacher in Maine appears to still have her job after she called for the assassination of President Donald Trump and his supporters and close advisors.
Waterville Senior High School teacher JoAnna St. Germain posted to her Facebook late last month that the Secret Service and U.S. military need to step in to murder Trump and his supporters, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/f-fascism-maine-teacher-calls-for-murder-of-trump-supporters-top-officials-in-unhinged-rants?author=Amanda+Prestigiacomo&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=10&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=‘F***+Fascism’%3A+Maine+Teacher+Calls+For+Murder+Of+Trump+Supporters%2C+Top+Officials+In+Unhinged+Rants" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire chronicled here</a>. The teacher&#8217;s threatening comments sparked an investigation by law enforcement, according to local reports.
St. Germain&#8217;s posts have since been wiped from her Facebook page, but her name still appears on the Waterville Senior High School staff directory, listing her as an English teacher.

The Daily Wire reached out to Principal Dr. Brian Laramee for clarification on St. Germain&#8217;s current employment status, but has not received a response.
Additionally, a parent of a student at Waterville reportedly recorded a conversation with staff at the school who allegedly said St. Germain had not been fired and is welcome to teach, though she has not been back to the school since calling for the murders. The Maine Wire <a href="https://www.themainewire.com/2025/05/waterville-teacher-who-drew-intl-attention-for-calling-for-assassinations-apologizes-blames-trauma-and-insomnia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> on the recorded conversation but has been unable to independently verify it, nor has The Daily Wire.
Before wiping her social media, St. Germain published a lengthy Facebook post addressing her comments. She said she made them mostly because she wasn&#8217;t sleeping and was not in the right headspace. St. Germain also blamed past trauma.
“I had a mental breakdown due to severe insomnia and the stress of trying to cope with trauma inflicted on me by a domestic abuser and rapist, but I have sought the help I needed and my brain is mine again,&#8221; the teacher said.
&#8220;I’ve been under the care of an incredible psychiatric team. They saw what was happening, and worked with me to help me get fully back to myself. Mostly what I needed was sleep,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;I hope you have no idea the psychosis lack of sleep brings.&#8221;
“I regret my words of violence towards the current administration,&#8221; St. Germain added. &#8220;That is not in my heart when my brain is well. I have never received so much as a speeding ticket, and I loathe guns and violence. I meet every individual with respect and an open mind when I am well. I have the most genuine remorse for making people feel unsafe.&#8221;
She also doubled down on her opposition to the Trump administration, writing, &#8220;I meant every word I said about the rise of fascism and the horror of trafficking humans to foreign prisons.&#8221;
“My heart breaks every day for the vulnerable populations being targeted and irreparably harmed,&#8221; St. Germain wrote. &#8220;I love you. If you hate me? I still love you.&#8221;

As reported by The Daily Wire, St. Germain&#8217;s past posts said that the U.S. Secret Service &#8220;has the perfect opportunity&#8221; to assassinate Trump.
&#8220;You are the ones with power. Coordinate,” she instructed. “Take out every single person who supports Trump’s illegal, immoral, unconstitutional acts. Look at the sycophants and give them what they’re asking for.”
“Secret Service, you are Americans. My beloved military, you are Americans. We, the people, are counting on you,” St. Germain added. “If I had the skill set required, I would take them out myself.”

After immense backlash, St. Germain doubled down on her alleged calls for assassination, but narrowed down the number of Trump supporters she wants murdered to Trump&#8217;s top advisors.

I meant that those in the room with Trump, who are permitting and approving his egregious actions, need to be held accountable.&#8221;

An email was sent to Waterville parents by the superintendent on Wednesday, saying that an investigation has been opened into the posts presumably made by St. Germain, according to The Maine Wire.

Seemingly acknowledging that the email was about her, St. Germain captioned The Maine Wire&#8217;s post, &#8220;I chose to speak as publicly as I could. I am not afraid of you. My superintendent is Peter Hallen. My principal is Brian Laramee.&#8221;
Police have also opened an investigation into St. Germain&#8217;s posts, <a href="https://www.pressherald.com/2025/04/30/social-media-post-about-trump-draws-reaction-from-waterville-police-school-superintendent/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Portland Post Herald.

According to a new <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/01/23/us/politics/trump-pompeo-security-iran.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>, President Donald Trump has revoked the security details for his former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Pompeo’s senior policy adviser, Brian Hook, who also served as the U.S. Special Representative for Iran, and Trump’s former national security adviser, John Bolton.
All three men have been threatened by the theocratic regime of Iran, which blamed Pompeo and Hook for the assassination of Iranian terror master, Iran Revolutionary Guard commander Qassem Soleimani in 2020.
“God willing, we are looking to kill Trump [and] Pompeo … and military commanders who issued the order should be killed,” Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps aerospace force, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/world/iran-reissues-threat-kill-trump-pompeo-soleimani-death-announcing-long-range-cruise-missile" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in February 2023.
Pompeo, a staunch supporter of Trump during his first term, had both praised and criticized Trump after he left office, lauding Trump’s work on the southern border but <a href="https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/mike-pompeo-trump-fox-news-b2357298.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">criticizing</a> him for supposedly mishandling classified documents and additional spending which raised the deficit.
Last August, a Pakistani national with what FBI Director Christopher Wray called “close ties to Iran” was arrested and charged with orchestrating a scheme to reportedly <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/pakistani-iran-murder-plot-u-s-officials/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">assassinate</a> Trump as well as other government officials.
According to court documents, in April 2024, Asif Merchant, 46, who revealed he has a wife and children in both Iran and Pakistan, came to the U.S. after spending time in Iran. He contacted someone about his alleged scheme; that person, who became a confidential source (CS), then contacted the FBI. In early June in New York, Merchant met the CS and outlined his alleged plot to commit a series of assassinations in the U.S.

In November, federal law enforcement officials foiled another plan to assassinate then-President-elect Trump that was connected to Iran.
The U.S. Department of Justice unsealed an <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-announces-murder-hire-and-related-charges-against-irgc-asset-and-two" target="_blank" rel="noopener">indictment</a> against multiple individuals who were involved in plots to murder an Iranian dissident, two Jewish Americans, and Trump on U.S. soil.
Prosecutors indicted Farhad Shakeri, 51, of Iran, on multiple charges, including murder-for-hire, conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, money laundering conspiracy, conspiring to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization, providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization, and conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and sanctions against the Government of Iran.

The Arizona man accused of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/manhunt-underway-for-arizona-suspect-who-threatened-to-shoot-trump-as-he-visits-border" target="_blank" rel="noopener">threatening to assassinate</a> former President Donald Trump was arrested by Cochise County, Arizona, deputies on Thursday.
Ronald Lee Syrvud, 66, was nabbed by authorities while Trump was visiting Arizona to address the southern border crisis, News Nation correspondent Ali Bradley reported. Syrvud, who had an outstanding warrant for felony failure to register as a sex offender, was charged with a sex offender violation upon his arrest. Bradley reported that the 66-year-old man could also be charged for the alleged threats he made toward Trump, pending an investigation.

The Cochise County Sheriff&#8217;s Office released a poster of Ronald Lee Syrvud on Thursday, saying he is wanted for alleged threats to kill a presidential candidate, News Nation correspondent Ali Bradley reported. Syrvud has outstanding warrants stemming from a DUI in Wisconsin, a hit-and-run in another Arizona county, and felony failure to register as a sex offender.

Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels told the Daily Mail that &#8220;based on the threats made&#8221; by Syrvud, authorities have ramped up security, especially considering that Trump&#8217;s speech at the border later on Thursday is &#8220;in an open venue.&#8221;
&#8220;We have zero tolerance for any kind of threats or intents of violence, so we&#8217;ll find him. He&#8217;ll go to jail,&#8221; Dannels said.
&#8220;He&#8217;s a registered sex offender here in Cochise County, and we were looking for him. He&#8217;s out of compliance as part of his violations. So we&#8217;re looking for him on that,&#8221; the sheriff added. &#8220;We&#8217;re going to arrest him on that. But also the fact his pulse was obviously directed toward this event. The alleged threats come just six weeks after Trump was shot by a would-be assassin while speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania. Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) says the Department of Justice declined to prosecute threats against his family in contrast to how it has handled similar threats against Democrats.
Banks questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland about the seeming disparity in response to threats against Banks and threats against Democratic members of Congress. Banks wrote in a letter to the Justice Department chief that the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana “declined” to prosecute a man despite “clear evidence” of threats against Banks’ family, according to <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/us-attorney-declined-prosecution-threat-congressman-letter-claims/story?id=111201176" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ABC News</a>, which obtained a copy of the letter.
&#8220;When Capitol Police referred the criminal case against Aaron Thompson to the U.S. Attorney for Northern District of Indiana, they declined to prosecute despite clear evidence that Thompson violated federal law,&#8221; Banks wrote.
Banks received several threatening voicemails from Thompson, who was later prosecuted by a local district attorney in Indiana and sentenced to two years of probation.
“Three daughters. Hey, hey, hey, three bullets hey, hey, hey one wife yay. Oh yeah, yeah, we&#8217;ll give her two bullets,” Thompson said in one message, according to Banks’ letter.
In an interview with U.S. Capitol Police, Thompson <a href="https://dailyjournal.net/2023/11/20/fort-wayne-man-gets-probation-for-harassing-rep-jim-banks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">admitted</a> to calling and threatening Banks over disagreements with his political views. Thompson said he was intoxicated during the calls.
The DOJ’s treatment of Banks’ case contrasts with how the department handled threats leveled against Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California, according to Banks, who asked Garland why the cases were treated differently. A man accused of threatening the California Democrat <a href="https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/eric-swalwell-threats-19464591.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pleaded</a> guilty in May after being charged by federal prosecutors in January.

In Swalwell’s case, an elderly Florida man left messages for the congressman, calling him a “moron” and accusing him of sleeping with a Chinese spy. The man also threatened Swalwell’s kids, saying, “I’m gonna kill your children.” The man said he was intoxicated at the time he left the messages for Swalwell.
In a case this week not featured in Banks&#8217; letter, federal prosecutors <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/texas-man-threatened-kill-us-rep-maxine-waters-sentenced-33-months-pri-rcna157605" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a sentence of 33 months in prison and a $10,000 fine for a Texas man who was convicted of making threats against Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California announced the sentence against Brian Michael Gaherty of Houston on Monday.
Gaherty pleaded guilty to leaving four threatening messages for Waters in August and November 2022. In one of the messages, Gaherty threatened to &#8220;put a cap&#8221; in Waters&#8217; head, “cut [her] throat,” and “stomp” her.

A Wisconsin man who donated to Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) has been charged with making a bomb threat to the campaign office of her Republican challenger. 
Police charged 72-year-old Joseph Quade with making terrorist threats on Friday after investigating a message sent to the Senate campaign office of Eric Hovde that said the office “might blow up,” the Wisconsin State Journal <a href="https://madison.com/news/local/crime-courts/joseph-quade-eric-hovde-threat-crime-madison-wisconsin/article_d0bf5d20-0420-11ef-b524-efb32d044d9a.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Hovde, a businessman, is attempting to unseat Baldwin in the November election.
“Hey (EH), you think your building might blow up tomorrow? I don’t think you should have any of your people come to work,” said the threatening message, which was sent via a voice memo attached to an email, according to the criminal complaint. 
Quade told police that he did not remember making the threat, but said he could get “a little political,” and it was possible he sent the message, the Journal reported. The threat to Hovde’s office in Madison was sent in on April 4. 
Quade has donated to Baldwin’s campaign on three separate occasions in 2023, <a href="https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions/?committee_id=C00326801&amp;contributor_name=joe+quade&amp;two_year_transaction_period=2022&amp;two_year_transaction_period=2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Federal Election Commission data. His most recent donation came on December 29 and totaled $25. Previously he donated $25 and $50 to Baldwin’s campaign. 
In a statement to The Daily Wire, Baldwin&#8217;s campaign announced it would be donating the contributions to charity.
“Violence has no place in our politics and anyone who threatens violence has no place in our campaign. We will be donating this individual’s contributions to charity,&#8221; said campaign spokesman Andrew Mamo.
According to the complaint, Quade said he sometimes drinks too much and says things he doesn’t mean. If convicted, Quade could be sentenced to 3.5 years of combined prison and extended supervision, the Journal noted. He will go before a judge in Dane County Circuit Court on May 2.

A recent <a href="https://www.marquette.edu/news-center/2024/law-poll-finds-very-close-presidential-us-senate-races-in-wisconsin.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poll</a> from Marquette University shows a close race between Baldwin and Hovde in the Badger State, with Baldwin at 52% among registered voters and Hovde at 47%. Baldwin, who is seeking her third term in the Senate, won her last election by over 10 points. 
The poll also showed former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden by two points. Trump was backed by 51% of registered voters while Biden was supported by 49%.
Wisconsin is expected to be a battleground state in 2024 with the winner likely going on to win the presidency. The Republican National Convention will be held in Milwaukee in July as they look to flip the state back after the 2020 election.

A far-Left protester was arrested last week in California for allegedly threatening Bakersfield City Council members and Republican Mayor Karen Goh for not backing a Gaza ceasefire resolution.
Riddhi Patel, 28, who <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/04/13/us-news/anti-israel-protester-threatens-to-murder-lawmakers-at-ca-city-council-meeting/">reportedly</a> claims to be non-binary, was charged with 18 felony counts of making terrorist threats and threatening city council staffers.
&#8220;You guys are all horrible human beings, and Jesus probably would have killed you himself,&#8221; she told the council members at a public hearing. &#8220;And I hope one day somebody brings the guillotine and kills all of you motherf***ers.&#8221;
&#8220;In the last five years I&#8217;ve attended city council meetings, there&#8217;s never been metal detectors, there&#8217;s never been more cops,&#8221; she later added. &#8220;The only reason you&#8217;re doing it is because people actually don&#8217;t care if you guys don&#8217;t like them, and they&#8217;re actually resisting. So you want to criminalize them.&#8221;
&#8220;And for that reason, you guys want to criminalize us with metal detectors,&#8221; she concluded. &#8220;We&#8217;ll see you at your house, we&#8217;ll murder you.&#8221;
Moments later, Mayor Goh signaled to law enforcement, “That was a threat, what you said at the end, so officers are going to escort you out and take care of that.”
Police quickly escorted her out of the room and arrested her.

Patel was charged with eight counts of threatening state officials and 10 counts of making threats with intent to terrorize.
She was <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/04/14/world-news/anti-israel-protester-riddhi-patel-sobs-during-arraignment/">reportedly</a> ordered to be held on $1 million bail and stay at least 500 yards from city hall.
Video of her from her arraignment on Friday went viral online as she sobbed in court.

Far-Left Protester Quickly Goes From Rage To Tears After Threatening City Council

A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-hampshire">New Hampshire</a> man has been arrested for threatening to “blow” the “brains out” of a presidential candidate, according to the Justice Department. 
The DOJ <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-nh/pr/dover-man-arrested-and-charged-threatening-kill-presidential-candidate" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> Monday morning that a 30-year-old man had been charged over a text message that threatened a candidate and attendees of a campaign event. The DOJ did not identify which candidate had been threatened, but the campaign of Republican tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy reportedly confirmed that he was the target of the threat. 
On December 8, in response to a text message about an event in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the suspect allegedly replied, “Great, another opportunity for me to blow his brains out!” and “I’m going to kill everyone who attends and then f*** their corpses.”
According to the DOJ, the text message was sent in response to an invitation for a campaign event on December 11. Ramaswamy was the only candidate with a public event <a href="https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/nh-man-charged-with-threatening-to-kill-presidential-candidate/3216001/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">listed</a> in Portsmouth that day and his campaign told the New Hampshire Journal that they were the targets of the threat. 
“We are grateful to law enforcement for their swiftness and professionalism in handling this matter and pray for the safety of all Americans,” campaign spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin <a href="https://nhjournal.com/dover-man-arrested-after-threat-to-blow-ramasamys-brains-out-at-portsmouth-event/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> the outlet. 
Ramaswamy’s campaign had scheduled a “Breakfast with Vivek” event at the Roundabout Dinner in Portsmouth, the NHJournal reported.

Court documents also allege that he had sent threatening messages to a different candidate last week, saying he wanted to &#8220;blow that b******&#8217;s head off,&#8221; NBC Boston reported. 
Another message said, &#8220;Thanks, I&#8217;ll see you there. Hope you have the stamina for a mass shooting!&#8221;

A Georgia man accused of making violent threats against Rep. Marjorie Talyor Greene (R-GA) and her family has been arrested and charged, Greene’s office said Thursday.
The Macon, Georgia, man — who was identified as 34-year-old Sean Patrick Cirillo — allegedly called Greene’s office and said he was going to shoot the Republican congresswoman in the head with a sniper rifle, WSB-TV <a href="https://news.yahoo.com/georgia-man-arrested-accused-threatening-222925491.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. In the call, which was shared with WSB-TV, Cirillo allegedly claimed to be a major donor before threatening to kill Greene and her family.
“I’m going to kill her next week. I’m going to murder her,” he said, <a href="https://wpde.com/news/nation-world/report-georgia-man-charged-with-threatening-rep-marjorie-taylor-greene-northwest-georgia-14th-district-threats-harrassment-sean-patrick-cirillo-dalton-representative" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> screaming into the phone. “You don’t think you’re going to get payback? You’re going to die. Your family is going to die.”
Cirillo was charged with using communication devices to make threats — a felony — according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/09/politics/georgia-man-arrested-for-threatening-to-murder-congresswoman-marjorie-taylor-greene/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Greene said she had to close her district office in Dalton, Georgia, after the threat was made, adding that death threats are nothing new for her as she faces them almost daily. Another Georgia Republican, Rep. Rich McCormick, had to close his district office in Cumming after staff there received “serious threats of violence.”
“I want to thank every single member of law enforcement who acted swiftly in response to this murderous threat,” Greene said. “From Rome City Police, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Capitol Police, the House Sergeant at Arms, and ultimately the FBI who made the arrest, every official acted quickly to put this man behind bars.”
“I’m not the only victim with this threat of violence. My family is threatened. My staff is threatened,” Greene added. “I even had to close my district office due to the potential of violence. It’s wrong and never should happen.”

The firebrand conservative congresswoman, who was first elected to office in 2020, is known for her controversial statements and social media posts. A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/chicago" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chicago</a> resident has been arrested and charged after he allegedly threatened <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/illinois" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Illinois</a> Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey, promising to skin him alive and then feed his family to him.
Scott Lennox, 21, made the threats on Friday after an ad for Bailey ran on a television in a bar where he was having a drink with some friends, prosecutors said according to the <a href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2022/11/2/23436894/darren-bailey-voicemail-death-threat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chicago Sun Times</a>. Lennox reportedly became angry after the ad played, sparking an altercation with his friends — after which he called Bailey&#8217;s office in Springfield, IL, to complain further.
Prosecutors revealed some of what Lennox allegedly said in the voicemail:
<blockquote>&#8220;I’m going to skin Darren Bailey alive, making sure he is still alive, and I’m going to feed his f***ing family to him as he is alive and screaming in f***ing pain &#8230; He is a piece of white a** racist s***, and honestly if he doesn’t kill himself, I will. 
You know what? I know where he lives. I know where he sleeps. I know where his kids sleep. And I know the f***ing school he works at &#8230; the candidate teaching all this mother f***ing misinformation is going to die. So honestly he should just kill himself before anything else happens.
So f*** him for being a piece of s*** &#8230; So you know what? I am going to take anything and everything possible. You know what? I am going to make him scream. I am going to make him scream and suffer. Yeah, that’s right. So he better kill himself, and if he doesn’t, I am going to kill him.&#8221;</blockquote>
Prosecutors said Lennox also mentioned abortion in the voicemail, although they were not clear about context. They also said that Lennox admitted to not liking Bailey&#8217;s opponent — incumbent Democrat Illinois Governor <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/illinois-gov-pritzker-billionaire-family-at-forefront-of-radical-gender-ideology-push-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">J. B. Pritzker</a>  — very much either, but said that he hated Bailey more.
A Chicago police report said that Lennox left the voicemail just before 10:30 p.m. local time on Friday, October 28th, the Chicago Sun Times reported. The Illinois Secretary of State Police did not initially take action, dismissing the threat as &#8220;not credible,&#8221; but further investigation led them to reverse course.
The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Lennox with one felony count each of threatening a public official, telephone harassment or harassment by electronic communications, and the schools associated with Bailey&#8217;s family were placed on soft lockdown. Bail was set at $75,000 for Lennox, who has not yet posted.
Cook County Circuit Court Judge Susana Ortiz also barred Lennox from any further contact with Bailey or any members of his family or staff, ordering him to be electronically monitored as well.
&#8220;This went above and beyond anything that is acceptable, even in the realms of political discourse. It simply will not be tolerated,&#8221; Ortiz said.

Following the <a href="https://abc7chicago.com/darren-bailey-illinois-jb-pritzker-governor-school/12412062/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">initial threat</a>, Bailey raised questions regarding the Secretary of State Police and their initial decision not to pursue the threat as &#8220;credible,&#8221; <a href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2022/11/2/23436894/darren-bailey-voicemail-death-threat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a>, &#8220;Divisive, inflammatory, and misleading rhetoric is driving hatred across our state as some attempt to label political opponents as dangerous threats.&#8221;
Pritzker pushed back, accusing Bailey of attempting to politicize the threat.
