The motorcade for vice presidential nominee Tim Walz crashed on Monday while en route to an event, leaving at least one person moderately injured.
The vehicles that crashed were press poll vans that were following the Minnesota Democrat governor around on the campaign trail in Wisconsin while he was traveling on the interstate to the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee.
&#8220;Several cars in the Walz motorcade crashed at about 12:57 p.m. — just a moment after I sent the last pool report,&#8221; the press pool said in a statement. &#8220;A staff member in our press van appears to have a broken arm and is being treated by medics.&#8221;
&#8220;Everyone else is shaken but appears to be in okay condition,&#8221; the statement added. &#8220;We were violently thrown forward, as our van slammed into the one in front of us and was hit from behind.”
A local ABC News affiliate <a href="https://www.wisn.com/article/press-vans-following-democratic-vp-nominee-tim-walz-involved-in-milwaukee-interstate-crash/62036008">reported</a> that the vehicles that were transporting Walz and Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) &#8220;continued towards the Summerfest venue despite the incident.&#8221;

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) hit the back of another car on an interstate over the weekend, causing the driver of the other car to be treated at a hospital for their injuries.
The incident happened just before 8 a.m. on Sunday as the two were traveling in the area of I-70 and I-68 in Hancock, Maryland.
Local media reports said that Fetterman was driving a Chevrolet Traverse and that he struck the back of a Chevrolet Impala.
Fetterman and his wife, Gisele Fetterman, were both taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries. The senator reportedly had a minor shoulder injury.
The driver of the Impala was also taken to the hospital in an ambulance to be treated for their injuries. No status update was available on the driver.
Police have not officially said what caused the car accident as the incident is currently under investigation.
&#8220;On Sunday morning, John and Gisele were involved in a car accident with another driver,&#8221; Fetterman&#8217;s office claimed in a statement, <a href="https://www.fox29.com/news/sen-john-fetterman-wife-involved-sunday-morning-crash-maryland">according</a> to FOX 29. &#8220;Out of an abundance of caution, they were evaluated at a local hospital. John was treated for a bruised shoulder and they were discharged that afternoon. They are doing well and happy to be back in Braddock.&#8221;
Fetterman has struggled with various health-related issues after he suffered a serious stroke in 2022, including crippling depression that led to him staying in a hospital.
During his campaign, Fetterman repeatedly refused to debate Dr. Mehmet Oz (R) as he sought to limit voters’ exposure to him following his stroke, which has impacted aspects of his cognition, hearing, and speech. He later debated Oz right before the election but did not perform well.
The Washington Post Editorial Board slammed his campaign at the time for “concealing from the public for two days after his stroke that he had been hospitalized.”
“It waited weeks longer to reveal a more complete picture of his medical history, including that he had been diagnosed in 2017 with cardiomyopathy. Mr. Fetterman had a pacemaker with a defibrillator implanted after the stroke. The campaign’s response to questions about Mr. Fetterman’s health is to point to a doctor’s note, released more than 14 weeks ago, which said ‘he should be able to campaign and serve in the U.S. Senate without a problem’ if he takes his medications and exercises.”
The Editorial Board said that Fetterman pointing to a 4-month-old doctor’s note was “not good enough” and that he “should release his medical records for independent review.”

U.S. District Court Judge Larry Hicks, who was appointed by President George W. Bush, was killed in a crash near the federal courthouse in Reno, Nevada, on Wednesday. He was 80 years old.
Authorities said the judge was crossing the street near the courthouse where he worked around 2:15 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle, ABC affiliate KOLO 8 <a href="https://www.kolotv.com/2024/05/30/federal-judge-larry-hicks-has-died/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Hicks was rushed to the hospital but was later declared dead.

Police said that the driver of the vehicle that struck Hicks is cooperating with law enforcement, adding that it does not appear that the driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
Hicks was appointed by Bush in 2001 after <a href="https://www.nvd.uscourts.gov/court-information/judges/judge-larry-r-hicks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">serving</a> as the Washoe County district attorney from 1974 to 1978 and then working in a private law practice from 1979 until his appointment to the federal judgeship in 2001. He assumed senior status as a district court judge in 2013. Hicks is also the father of Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks.

LaPaglia began by saying she was on the verge of a “mental breakdown.”

The TikTok user said that when they arrived at the tour bus after the accident, she was also upset when her cat escaped into the woods in the night. She said Bryan “split open” his stitches trying to catch the animal.
LaPaglia expressed gratitude that she and Bryan didn’t have any serious injuries. She also said going through the trauma was exhausting. 
&#8220;I&#8217;m just so tired. My whole body hurts, and I keep finding more bruises and scrapes. And I pulled glass out of my cheek last night,” the country star’s girlfriend added.

Bryan and LaPaglia have been dating since last summer.

Multiple <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/los-angeles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Los Angeles</a> firefighters were injured on Thursday morning while responding to a fire involving a pressurized cylinder on a semi truck that exploded as they worked to extinguish the flames.
The explosion happened around 7 a.m. local time while fire crews were battling flames from one of the truck&#8217;s two compressed 100-gallon natural gas tanks.
&#8220;The unique aspect of this vehicle is that it&#8217;s not run on diesel or gasoline, but it is actually propelled with CNG, or compressed natural gas,&#8221; said LAFD Capt. Erik Scott. &#8220;The explosion was significant. The ball of flame was as high as these telephone poles, and it actually did explode one of the transformers nearby.&#8221;
Video of the incident showed the powerful explosion shooting up a quick fireball that quickly dissipated likely due to the fuel source being natural gas.

The Los Angeles Times <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-02-15/several-firefighters-injured-in-wilmington-explosion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that nine firefighters were taken to UCLA Medical Center with injures from the explosion, including two who were in critical condition.
The semi truck was completely obliterated from the explosion and the status of its driver remains unknown. The explosion happened roughly 13 minutes after the call came in for emergency crews.
Officials said that they were not sure about the circumstances that led to the incident.

“This is a difficult day in Los Angeles,” Mayor Karen Bass said during a news conference at the hospital where the firefighters were being treated. “I’m here with a simple message to our firefighters in the building behind me and in fire stations across our city watching the news this morning unfold. The four million people of Los Angeles stand with you.”
Dr. Molly Deane, a trauma surgeon at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, said that it was a miracle that some of the firefighters were not &#8220;more severely injured&#8221; from the explosion.

A vehicle slammed into St. David&#8217;s North Austin Medical Center emergency room in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/texas" target="_blank" rel="noopener">North Austin</a> on Tuesday evening, according to local law enforcement officials.
The Austin Police Department, Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, and the Austin Fire Department responded to the crash at 5:38 p.m. CST.
Initial reports said that there were at least 11 people injured during the car crash; however, that number appeared to be revised down to five people. First responders tried to save the driver by administering CPR, but the driver ultimately died.
&#8220;Four victims were transported to other hospitals, including an adult and a child who were in critical condition,&#8221; CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/13/us/texas-austin-medical-center-crash/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. &#8220;One patient was admitted to St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, where the crash occurred.&#8221;
The Austin Police Department said that they do not believe that the crash was intentional.
&#8220;There is no threat to the general public,&#8221; the department said. &#8220;Based off preliminary information and details gathered at this time, this incident does not appear to be an intentional act. APD officers continue to assist our first responder partners, and the investigation is ongoing.&#8221;

Eight other patients at the hospital were being transported to other hospitals to &#8220;decompress&#8221; from the stress the incident generated.
Stephen Hughes, who was in the hospital when the car slammed into the emergency room, described the incident to CNN.
“At first I thought it was an explosion,” Hughes told CNN. “Then I heard screaming and saw the smoke coming from the ER entrance.”
Video of the incident shows that the driver likely was incapacitated as the car&#8217;s engine was still going and the tires were generating considerable smoke in the area.

Hogan&#8217;s wife, Sky Daily, initially posted about the incident. 
&#8220;Last night, after we left dinner in Tampa, we saw a car flip in front of us! I truly admire my husband @hulkhogan and our good buddy @jakerask for springing into action, puncturing the girls airbag, and getting her quickly out of the car. A car swerved across several lanes to get to an exit, and in the process clipped another car, causing that vehicle to flip over, according to the outlet. Hogan, Daily, and Hogan’s friend Jake, who is reportedly a Marine, pulled over immediately to assist.
Hogan posted about the incident as well. “The crazy part about the teenager that flipped her car was that without a knife to puncture the airbags to get her out ,a Indian Rocks Christian ballpoint pen came in really handy to pot the bags,thank you God,all is well even now,Amen HH,” he <a href="https://twitter.com/HulkHogan/status/1747050195085373870">shared</a> on X Tuesday evening.

U.S. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that the crash happened around 6 p.m. when &#8220;a vehicle collided with an exterior gate on the White House complex.&#8221;
&#8220;The driver has been taken into custody &amp; we are investigating the cause &amp; manner of the collision,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Expect traffic implications at 15th Street &amp; Pennsylvania Ave &amp; adjacent intersections.&#8221;
President Joe Biden was traveling at the time of the incident and thus was not at the White House.

Last month, a car <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-moment-car-smashes-into-bidens-motorcade">crashed</a> into Biden’s motorcade just as he was getting ready to step back inside one of the vehicles after he walked out from his campaign office headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, following a dinner that he and the first lady attended.
The car hit a U.S. Secret Service vehicle that was being used to block an intersection near the headquarters. The car reportedly then tried to drive into the closed-off intersection when federal law enforcement officials surrounded the car and ordered the driver to put his hands up.
Video of the incident shows Biden walking outside and talking to a heckler when the incident happened as the crash was loud enough that it grabbed the attention of Secret Service agents who quickly surrounded Biden and got him into the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was later charged with DUI, according to local police.

Actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Carrie Bernans</a>’ family shared graphic photos of injuries she sustained from a mass casualty incident while celebrating <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-years">New Year’s Eve</a> in Midtown <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-york-city">Manhattan</a>.
The 29-year-old was walking with a friend near West 34th Street and 9th Avenue following the ball drop in Times Square when a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/car-crash">man in a car</a> rammed into a food truck she was standing next to, knocking her unconscious and pinning her beneath the stand, per <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12918597/Marvel-Carrie-Bernans-horrific-injuries-car.html">The Daily Mail</a>. Three NYPD officers were also injured.
The driver, identified as a 44-year-old male, was also hospitalized. The Daily Mail noted that police were reportedly chasing the car before the crash.
Bernans has multiple serious injuries, including broken bones, fractures, and chipped teeth. Her family shared <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C1kixmDu_wR/?img_index=1">graphic images</a> on social media.
“Posted by Carrie’s mom. She’s still in so much pain and can’t answer calls at this time, but appreciate the messages. This was a traumatic incident,” the post said.
“Please keep Carrie in your thoughts and prayers. She’s in so much pain but healing. She was involved in a traumatic incident in NYC where a man, early 40s was trying to escape a hit and run and ran into multiple cars before hitting a food stand that her friend &amp; her were walking near. It ended up knocking her unconscious and pinned her under the stand. She was under it unaware of what was happening.”
The update continued, “She has a few broken bones, fractures, &amp; chipped teeth but thanking God that she’s alive. Nine people were injured in his attempted escape from the hit &amp; run, including 3 police officers. Police caught him shortly after and arrested him. Amidst the chaos of the New Year&#8217;s incident, she’s holding onto an immense sense of gratitude for life itself.”

Bernans is an actress and stuntwoman who has appeared in numerous big-budget Hollywood productions, including “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Endgame,” along with multiple other TV and movie roles. She’s also a motivational speaker.

Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) said his 42-year-old son was involved in a police chase on Wednesday that came to a tragic end, resulting in the death of a sheriff’s deputy.
A Mercer County, North Dakota, Sheriff’s deputy was killed as police engaged in a pursuit of Ian Cramer after the senator’s son reportedly took off with his mother’s car. Ian — who “suffers from severe mental disorders which manifest in severe paranoia and hallucinations,” according to the senator — was taken to the emergency room by Cramer’s wife, Kris, after he told her he wanted to go see his brother who died five years ago. When Kris got out of the car at the hospital, Ian jumped into the driver’s seat and sped off, the senator said in a statement, KFYR <a href="https://www.kfyrtv.com/2023/12/07/mercer-county-sheriffs-deputy-dies-during-pursuit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. 
“Our daughter was able to track the car through Kris’ cell phone and lead officers to him in Mercer County, ND,” Cramer said in a statement. “We don’t have more details right now but will work with authorities to properly inform the public.” 
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department initially located Ian and the stolen SUV in Hazen, North Dakota, where officers approached him, but the 42-year-old fled, according to authorities. As police pursued him, a Mercer County Sheriff’s deputy stood alongside the road next to a parked patrol car, preparing to deploy a spike strip to deflate the tires of the vehicle Ian was driving. The SUV, however, veered off the road and rammed into the parked patrol car head-on. The crash pushed the patrol car back into the deputy standing on the side of the road, killing him, KFYR reported.  
Ian was rushed to the hospital following the crash before being taken to the Mercer County Jail. No charges have been filed yet as the North Dakota Highway Patrol investigates the incident. Sen. Cramer said he and his family are grieving for their son and the deputy’s family and asked the public for their prayers.

We ask the public for prayers for the lost officer’s family and colleagues who serve us every day and are grateful for all they do for us. We also ask God for healing for Ian. We love him and hurt deeply.”

U.S. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/u-s-customs-and-border-protection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Customs and Border Protection</a> (CBP) released footage Wednesday evening showing what happened with a car that exploded at a checkpoint in Niagara Falls at the U.S.-Canada border.
With the threat of Islamic terrorism elevated throughout the U.S. due to the war in the Middle East, there were early suspicions that the incident was some sort of an attack.
Those fears were exacerbated by a reporter who claimed that sources told her the incident was an &#8220;attempted terrorist attack&#8221; and that the car was &#8220;full of explosives.&#8221;
However, multiple law enforcement officials have said that there were no indications that the incident had anything to do with terrorism.
“Based on what we know at this moment, and again anything can change, there is no sign of terrorist activity with respects to this crash,” said New York Governor Kathy Hochul.

CBP released a video of the vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed when it hit a median and went flying before it later exploded.

FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia said at a news conference that there was no indication that the incident was related to terrorism.
“We do not have any derogatory information on this person that we’ve identified, we’re scanning his social media, there’s nothing there, we’re still running a full investigation so that’s a preliminary assessment,&#8221; Miraglia said. “We feel, at this point, this might be just something that occurred, there’s no larger picture here to look at for now.”

A bus carrying students collided with truck in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ohio" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ohio</a> on Tuesday morning, killing three people and injuring at least 18 others.
The crash <a href="https://apnews.com/article/ohio-commercial-bus-crash-truck-f86fb65b75731e6cffb436eccc32db16" target="_blank" rel="noopener">occurred</a> about 26 miles east of Columbus and involved a bus, a semi-truck, and three other vehicles.
The semi-truck rear-ended the bus just before 9 a.m. on I-70 West near the Smoke Road underpass, according to Sean Grady, Licking County&#8217;s emergency management agency director.
Dispatchers classified the crash as a &#8220;mass casualty incident, level 3,&#8221; which means 10 or more people may have been hurt.
The bus was carrying 57 people, including students from Tuscarawas Valley Local School District in eastern Ohio, officials said.
Among the injured were 15 students.
The bus had band students on board, school district staff <a href="https://www.cleveland19.com/2023/11/14/crash-involving-charter-bus-semi-truck-shuts-down-i-71-licking-county/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> 19 News.
Superintendent Dr. Derek Varansky shared the &#8220;devastating and heartbreaking&#8221; news in a statement that was posted to social media.

&#8220;Today, a charter bus carrying Tusky Valley students and chaperones on the way to the Ohio School Boards Association conference in Columbus was involved in a very serious accident,&#8221; Varansky said.
&#8220;Right now, our focus is on getting in touch with our Tusky Valley families who had loved ones on the bus and providing support to our entire school community. Our Trojan family is strong, and it will take that strength and love to get throughout these coming challenging days,&#8221; the superintendent said.
Organizers <a href="https://apnews.com/article/ohio-commercial-bus-crash-truck-f86fb65b75731e6cffb436eccc32db16" target="_blank" rel="noopener">canceled</a> the conference the students were headed to when they heard of the crash.
The bus company, Pioneer Trails, also released a statement confirming an incident with one of its buses.
&#8220;Pioneer is fully cooperating with the authorities as we work to find the cause of the accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those impacted by this accident. As this is an ongoing investigation, there will be no further comments,&#8221; the bus company said.
Governor Mike DeWine (R) appeared with authorities, including Ohio state troopers, at a press conference at the scene of the accident on Tuesday.
“This is our worst nightmare, when we have a bus full of children involved in a crash,” DeWine said during the press conference. “Prayers go out to the families, everyone who was on the bus.”
A large number of emergency responders arrived at the scene, and dozens of emergency vehicles remained at the crash site hours after it happened, the Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/ohio-commercial-bus-crash-truck-f86fb65b75731e6cffb436eccc32db16" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Meanwhile, police blocked the entrance ramps on both sides of the highway.
Smoke could be seen coming from the crash site, Ohio Department of Transportation cameras showed.
