In another business casualty from the Biden-Harris administration, Walgreens announced Tuesday that it would close roughly 1,200 locations over the next three years.
500 of the 8,500 Walgreens stores will close in the current fiscal year, the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/walgreens-closing-drugstores-fiscal-fourth-quarter-5df931861e1e4111eaa5ef2372ec173a" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Associated Press</a> reported, adding, “The company began the year by <a href="https://apnews.com/article/walgreens-drugstore-dividend-cut-2263d6ea2b8bf944e7bd5729d66fe458" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-gtm-enhancement-style="LinkEnhancementA">cutting the dividend</a> it pays shareholders to raise cash. Six months later, it slashed its forecast for 2024.”
According to  Walgreens CEO Tim Wentworth, roughly 70% of the company’s stores are profitable. “This solid base supports our conviction in a retail pharmacy-led model that is relevant to our consumers, and we intend to invest in these stores over the next several years,” he said.

Neil Saunders, managing director of consulting and data analysis firm GlobalData, argued that the profitable stores are not immune to financial concerns such as varying consumer behavior and buying patterns, arguing, “All these things have the potential to undercut store performance and Walgreens needs to ensure that this does not happen. If it doesn’t, the latest slate of store closures will not be the last and Walgreens will enter the dangerous spiral of being an ever-shrinking business.”
In June, Wentworth acknowledged the increase in theft from its stores, saying that Walgreens wanted cities to help by “investing in public safety so that our customers and employees feel safe.”
“The retail industry is going through a tough time as it copes with inflation-weary consumers and a rash of bankruptcies, prompting chains to announce the closures of almost 3,200 brick-and-mortar stores so far in 2024, according to a new analysis,” CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/store-closures-surging-2024-family-dollar-rue21-cvs-rite-aid/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> in May.
“Nearly 20,000 businesses have warned they&#8217;re at risk of closing if President Joe Biden is elected to a second term,” Newsweek<a href="https://www.newsweek.com/thousands-businesses-warn-theyre-risk-closing-1902087" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> stated</a> in mid-May. “In a new report from RedBalloon and PublicSquare, nearly half of the 80,000 small businesses surveyed said they ‘definitely’ or ‘probably’ will not survive another four years with Biden.”
“It&#8217;s been a difficult three years for America&#8217;s small businesses,” Michael Seifert, PublicSquare CEO, said. “While many inside the Beltway may feel like things are good, that isn&#8217;t translating to Main Street America—the frontlines of our small business economy.”

In May 2023, Joshua Kobza, CEO of Restaurant Brands International Inc., which owns Burger King, <a href="https://www.restaurantdive.com/news/rbi-says-up-to-400-burger-kings-may-close-in-us-this-year/649146/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> 300 to 400 U.S. Burger Kings would be closed by the end of 2023.

Toyota joined the growing list of companies that are dialing back their LGBTQ sponsorships and diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments following exposés from conservative activist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pure-lunacy-robby-starbuck-on-exposing-dei-in-corporate-america" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Robby Starbuck</a>.
The Japan-based car manufacturer told its 50,000 U.S. employees and 1,500 dealers on Thursday that it would &#8220;narrow our community activities to align with STEM education and workforce readiness,&#8221; Bloomberg <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-10-03/toyota-curbs-dei-policy-after-activist-attack-over-lgbtq-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Starbuck revealed last week that Toyota was sponsoring pro-LGBTQ events, including a children&#8217;s LGBTQ summer camp.
A company spokesman told Bloomberg that following Starbuck&#8217;s exposé, the company received a few hundred queries from employees, questions from a &#8220;small population&#8221; of dealers, and around 30 calls from customers. The spokesman claimed that Starbuck&#8217;s revelations about Toyota were &#8220;negligible.&#8221;

It’s not easy to do but they’re preparing their business for future success by adopting corporate neutrality,&#8221; he added. &#8220;The companies who adopt neutrality will win the future because they don’t violate the core beliefs of the consumers they rely on.&#8221;
Following Starbuck&#8217;s posts on social media about Toyota, the company said that the LGBTQ programs mentioned by Starbuck were led by employee groups, not the company itself.

Legendary British rock band <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music">Pink Floyd</a> has agreed to sell its music rights and name-and-likeness rights to Sony Music for approximately $400 million after years of speculation.
Sources confirmed the news to <a href="https://variety.com/2024/music/news/pink-floyd-sells-music-rights-to-sony-400-million-1236165925/">Variety</a> on Wednesday. The deal was made after years of disagreements between band <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music-industry">songwriters</a> Roger Waters and David Gilmour, drummer Nick Mason, and the estates of keyboardist Richard Wright and singer-songwriter Roger “Syd” Barrett, one of the band’s founding members.
Name and likeness rights will include all merchandising rights, making this one of the most lucrative deals in the industry. The Pink Floyd recorded music catalog includes popular albums such as “Dark Side of the Moon,” “The Wall,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Animals,” “Meddle,” “Piper at the Gates of Dawn,” “More,” and others.
The outlet noted that Pink Floyd’s catalog has been for sale for years with an asking price of $500 million. However, the sale was complicated by infighting among band members and the public’s opinion of Roger Waters making controversial political statements against both Israel and Ukraine, which is rumored to have made potential buyers hesitant to close the deal. 
Waters also <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/roger-waters-ukrainian-kill-list-1234604081/">told</a> Rolling Stone during a 2022 interview that the United States is “the most evil [country in the world] of all by a factor of at least 10 times.”

The albums “The Dark Side of the Moon” and “The Wall” were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. These two LPs, along with “Wish You Were Here,” are among the best-selling albums of all time. In total, Pink Floyd’s albums have sold 75 million copies in the U.S., making it the 10th most of any artist, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
The acquisition of Pink Floyd’s catalog is one of several high-profile buys for Sony, who also recently acquired Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Queen’s non-North American rights in the past few years, per Variety.

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/artificial-intelligence">artificial intelligence</a> (AI) startup Runway announced that it is offering grants of up to $1 million for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/movies">filmmakers</a> willing to use the technology on future <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">projects</a>.
It’s all part of their newly created “The Hundred Film Fund,” per <a href="https://variety.com/2024/digital/news/runway-hundred-film-fund-filmmakers-artificial-intelligence-1236154376/">Variety</a>, which was created to help fund both short and feature-length films. The company noted that grants would range from $5,000 to $1 million and that applications would be processed and responded to within 14 days of submission.
Runway also doesn’t require applicants to use its software, only that they use AI for their work. Any approved filmmakers using AI will be offered up to $2 million in credits to use Runway’s AI program, however.
Runway co-founder and CEO Cris Valenzuela told Variety there isn’t a catch to this offer. “This is not about getting our money back,” he told the outlet, insisting that the grants are simply meant to serve as incentives for filmmakers to embrace AI for their work. The Runway founder also mentioned that the company would not retain rights to any film projects produced with their grants.
“We’re a software company. Our business is to sell tools,” Valenzuela said. “Our success will be rooted in our ability to help storytellers make these films.” 
“We believe that the best stories are yet to be told, and that traditional funding mechanisms often overlook these new visions,” the Runway exec added, saying that there was no set amount of money the company was giving out and that submissions would be on a rolling basis.
All pitches will be evaluated by a team of individuals representing the tech and entertainment industry. Those include Tribeca Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal, Nvidia VP Richard Kerris, recording artist and entrepreneur will.i.am, film colorist and Company 3 founder Stefan Sonnenfeld, and Asher XR CEO Christina Lee Storm. The outlet noted that Kerris and will.i.am are both investors in Runway.

The AI company recently made headlines for being the first to sign with a major studio, Lionsgate, to use its proprietary software to comb the studio’s library and help facilitate future projects, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lionsgate-signs-deal-with-ai-company-to-help-creators-augment-their-work">reported</a>. 
At the time, Runway stressed the collaborative nature of the deal, using the word “augment” rather than selling itself as a replacement for creative work.

The starting quarterback for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, announced late Tuesday night that he will not play any more games this season for the unbeaten Rebels, alleging that the program did not keep some of its &#8220;commitments.&#8221;
Matthew Sluka, who helped get UNLV to a 3-0 record and in the conversation for a playoff bid this season, shocked the sports world, writing in a statement posted to X, &#8220;I have decided to utilize my redshirt year and will not be playing in any additional games this season.&#8221; Sluka, who transferred from Holy Cross last season, did not mention specific promises that he says were not being fulfilled, but reports suggest that he was upset with UNLV over name, image, and likeness (NIL) guarantees that allow student-athletes to be paid by companies and third-party organizations.
&#8220;I committed to UNLV based on certain representations that were made to me, which were not upheld after I enrolled,&#8221; Sluka added. &#8220;Despite discussions, it became clear that these commitments would not be fulfilled in the future. Later on Tuesday, ESPN college football Senior Writer Adam Rittenberg <a href="https://x.com/ESPNRittenberg/status/1838948515113767100" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Sluka&#8217;s father said his son&#8217;s agent &#8220;agreed to an NIL deal with the school back in February, never received payments despite requests and never asked for any adjustments to the original deal.&#8221; Sluka&#8217;s father added, &#8220;We have no idea what the hell happened.&#8221;
One of Sluka&#8217;s representatives, Marcus Cromartie, said that the quarterback was promised $100,000 if he transferred to UNLV, but none of that money was paid, <a href="https://x.com/PeteThamel/status/1838949768787096036" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to ESPN Senior Writer Pete Thamel. Cromartie alleged that UNLV offered Sluka $3,000 per month for the next four months, which would amount to $88,000 less than what Cromartie said Sluka was initially promised.
Rob Sine, who runs Blueprint Sports — a company that manages UNLV&#8217;s collective — said that the collective never agreed to a $100,000 deal with Sluka, Yahoo Sports <a href="https://x.com/RossDellenger/status/1838975453262233881" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Sine added that the collective was working on a deal with Sluka that would pay him $3,000 per month before the quarterback announced his decision to quit playing.

The quarterback was off to a good start in UNLV&#8217;s backfield, throwing for 318 yards and six touchdowns while also rushing for 286 yards and one touchdown.
The Rebels defeated a ranked Kansas team in week 3, moving them to their first 3-0 start since the 1984 season. With college football&#8217;s expanded playoffs going into effect this season, UNLV was considered a potential dark horse program that could sneak into the new 12-team format.
Sluka&#8217;s sudden departure has already affected <a href="https://www.espn.com/espn/betting/story/_/id/40159558/betting-buzz-latest-sports-betting-odds-updates-changes-line-moves-industry-intel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">betting odds</a> on UNLV in their next game against Fresno State. Academy Award-winning director James Cameron has joined the board of directors of the artificial intelligence company Stability AI after sounding the alarm about the technology last year.
“I just don’t personally believe that a disembodied mind that’s just regurgitating what other embodied minds have said — about the life that they’ve had, about love, about lying, about fear, about mortality — and just put it all together into a word salad and then regurgitate it,” Cameron said during an interview in 2023, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-warned-you-guys-in-1984-director-james-cameron-unleashes-on-the-rise-of-ai-in-film">reported</a>.
“You got to follow the money. Who’s building these things? Rapper T.I. and his wife, R&amp;B singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris, won $71 million in a lawsuit they brought against the toy manufacturer MGA Entertainment. 
The couple claimed that MGA violated their intellectual property rights for the musical group OMG Girlz with the creation of the massively popular L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls. 
The singing group OMG Girlz included Bahja Rodriguez, Breaunna Womack, and Tiny’s daughter Zonnique Pullins. They disbanded in 2015.
The total amount of money awarded includes $17.8 million in real damages, or profits the company made on the toys, and $53.6 million in punitive damages, per <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/maryroeloffs/2024/09/24/rapper-ti-and-wife-tiny-win-71-million-in-lawsuit-against-maker-of-lol-surprise-dolls-the-case-explained/">Forbes</a>.
Jurors found that more than a dozen L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls “infringed on the trade dress and misappropriated the name, image, and likeness of the all-female band that T.I. and Tiny formed in 2009,” per a report from <a href="https://people.com/t-i-and-tiny-awarded-71-million-in-lawsuit-against-toy-maker-8717228">People.</a>
MGA argued that it didn’t copy off the “short-lived” band or cost them business opportunities. 
This lawsuit represents the third time T.I. and Tiny sued over the appearance of the dolls, accusing the company of &#8220;cultural appropriation and outright theft.” The first court case ended in a mistrial, and the second jury ruled in favor of MGA before the verdict was overturned on appeal. It’s still possible for the toy manufacturer to appeal the current ruling.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/paramount">Paramount Global</a> initiated a second round of planned <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/business">layoffs</a> on Tuesday in an effort to reduce overall company costs by $500 million.
The layoffs will be 90% complete following Tuesday&#8217;s cuts, a <a href="https://deadline.com/2024/09/paramount-global-layoffs-2-1236097329/">report</a> from Deadline stated. An insider told the outlet that most of the layoffs would be in the streaming division, while previous cuts were made in the advertising section of Paramount. 
The entertainment giant had 21,900 full- and part-time employees in 33 countries at the end of 2023, along with 4,500 project-based employees. Three percent of those employees were laid off last year.
Paramount execs announced in August that the entertainment conglomerate would cut 15% of its U.S. workforce, about 2,000 employees, ahead of a planned merger with Skydance Media.
Deadline also published a copy of the internal memo from company co-CEOs George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy, and Brian Robbins that was sent on Tuesday.

One of Paramount&#8217;s main properties is the CBS Entertainment group. A union rep for IBEW, which represents CBS employees, said in a statement Monday that employees who were let go included “editors, in media ingest and distribution and show production.”
“We’re disappointed that CBS was unable to find a way to retain these highly skilled professionals in their operation,” IBEW Director of Broadcasting and Telecommunications Robert Prunn said in a statement. “IBEW members have been producing CBS broadcasts since before the invention of television, and these layoffs are a hard pill to swallow.”

Over a dozen Republican state financial officers demanded this week that a powerful business lobbying group reassess its commitment to woke capitalism amid a nationwide backlash against companies pushing leftist politics. 
On Wednesday, the top financial officers for 14 states sent a <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2024/08/Business-Roundtable-Letter-August-28.pdf">letter</a> to the Business Roundtable,  an association of over 200 CEOs whose companies produce about one fourth of the nation&#8217;s GDP. The letter takes aim at the Roundtable&#8217;s 2019 decision to embrace a &#8220;stakeholder capitalism&#8221; model, wherein corporations prioritize social goals over generating profit. The financial officers argue that the shift to stakeholder capitalism gave CEOs an excuse to start wading into political matters and pushing leftist politics. 
“Institutions of all kinds are being pressured to depart from their proper purpose and serve a left-wing ideology. In the case of corporations, doing so harms shareholder value. It is more important than ever to honestly state the purpose of your corporation and your role, and ‘live not by lies,’” the financial officers wrote. 
The letter comes just after the five year anniversary of the Business Roundtable rolling out a new <a href="https://www.businessroundtable.org/business-roundtable-redefines-the-purpose-of-a-corporation-to-promote-an-economy-that-serves-all-americans" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement of purpose.</a> Dozens of powerful CEOs pledged to make their companies revolve around a “fundamental commitment to all of our stakeholders” and rejected the Business Roundtable&#8217;s previous statement that &#8220;corporations exist principally to serve their shareholders.&#8221;
&#8220;It has become clear that this language on corporate purpose does not accurately describe the ways in which we and our fellow CEOs endeavor every day to create value for all our stakeholders, whose long-term interests are inseparable,&#8221; Business Roundtable <a href="https://www.businessroundtable.org/opportunity-commitment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on August 19, 2019.

Noah Wall, the executive vice president for policy and governmental affairs of the State Financial Officers Foundation, told The Daily Wire that Business Roundtable’s adoption of stakeholder capitalism has discouraged companies from making smart business decisions, to a disastrous end. 
“From our perspective, the last five years have been an utter disaster,” he said. “You’ve seen companies undertake a whole host of different types of activities that have been focused on politics rather than the bottom line, rather than providing a quality good or service.” 
This activism includes incidents like Coca-Cola’s 2021 condemnation of Georgia’s election integrity law, and Bud Light’s partnership with transgender-identifying activist Dylan Mulvaney. 
Will Hild, who leads the anti-woke group Consumers&#8217; Research, said that activist CEOs used the redefinition to push their own political agenda. 
“Whenever they want to push a far Left, progressive agenda, they will claim they are not doing it of their own volition, they are doing it on behalf a ‘stakeholder’ and that that’s ok because stakeholder capitalism is actually better for the shareholders,” he told The Daily Wire. 
However, some businesses now appear to be retreating from politics. In recent weeks, companies like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/now-its-jack-daniels-getting-rid-of-dei-initiatives" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jack Daniels</a> and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/harley-davidson-becomes-latest-company-to-back-away-from-dei-policies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Harley-Davidson</a> have walked backed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies following customer pushback led by conservative activist Robby Starbuck. Other companies, like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lowes-cuts-ties-with-leftist-activist-group-scales-back-dei-initiatives" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lowe’s</a>, have also pivoted by saying their philanthropic work will now focus on apolitical causes like disaster relief and trade education.  
Even Business Roundtable members like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tractor-supply-reverses-course-backs-out-of-woke-initiatives-following-conservative-backlash" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tractor Supply</a> and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/john-deere-is-latest-company-to-diminish-dei-says-it-wont-join-social-or-cultural-awareness-parades" target="_blank" rel="noopener">John Deere</a> have announced moves away from woke initiatives.
The top financial officers for Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming all signed on to the letter. The signatories urged all the members of Business Roundtable to reconsider their endorsement of the stakeholder capitalism approach.
&#8220;The next step is for the Business Roundtable to issue an updated document that accurately reflects the purpose of a corporation and remind people about the incredible benefits business provides society, without becoming political promoters or enforcers,&#8221; they wrote.

Hild said that businesses&#8217;s retreat from DEI has been motivated by customers speaking out against woke policies, as well as Starbucks&#8217; “excellent activism” targeting companies that were most detached from their customer base. 
He also said that conservative legal action — like Florida passing anti-woke legislation — made corporations think twice before proceeding with more politicized business decisions. 
However, he said that there would still be a big battle to dismantle the DEI offices and positions that have been entrenched in so many businesses. 
”These people are going to have to be chiseled out,” he said. “They’re illegitimate, they don’t belong there, they don’t have an actually legitimate function except to keep themselves employed and try to turn the company that they work into a political utility for the far Left.”

Lowe’s became the latest major American corporation on Monday to hit the brakes on pushing woke initiatives as conservative customers and activists around the country demand that companies stop adopting Left-wing policies.

Starbuck said that he had reached out to the retail giant last week asking about its policies.

In an internal memo from the executive leadership team, Lowe&#8217;s said that it had started reevaluating its diversity, equity, and inclusion policies after the Supreme Court ruled against race-based affirmative action programs at universities.
“Like many other companies, in July 2023 after the Supreme Court’s decision in the Harvard/UNC cases, we began reviewing our diversity and inclusion programs to ensure that they are lawful and aligned with our commitment to include everyone in the incredible opportunities at Lowe’s and ensure that no one is excluded,” the company wrote in the memo.

The company said it had made changes in response which include no longer participating with the Human Rights Campaign survey and putting employee resource groups under one umbrella instead of separating the employees by identity. Lowe’s added that it would no longer be sponsoring festivals, parades, and fairs but focus any philanthropic work on safe and affordable housing, disaster relief, and skilled trades education.

The announcement from Lowe’s comes after other companies like Tractor Supply and Harley-Davidson have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/harley-davidson-becomes-latest-company-to-back-away-from-dei-policies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> a retreat from DEI policies after Starbuck highlighted their policies. Last week, Harley-Davidson said that it had completely discontinued its DEI initiatives. 
In an open letter to the public, it said it was no longer implementing DEI policies, was no longer participating in the HRC survey, and would enact strict protocols for future corporate sponsorships and affiliations
“We’re now forcing multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without even posting just from fear they have of being the next company that we expose,” Starbuck said Monday. “We are winning and one by one we WILL bring sanity back to corporate America.”

Rumor has it that fast food chicken purveyor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/chick-fil-a">Chick-fil-A</a> will launch a streaming service of unscripted content.
Deadline <a href="https://deadline.com/2024/08/chick-fil-a-hatches-streaming-service-1236044196/">reported</a> that the popular restaurant chain has been working with major players in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">entertainment</a> industry to create, license, and acquire family-friendly content. The outlet’s sources revealed that new projects include a game show from Glassman Media, creator of “The Wall,” and Sugar23, which is known for the Netflix hit series “13 Reasons Why.”
Those sources noted that the projects could launch as early as this year and that there’s also been talk of animation and scripted content. They reported that Brian Gibson of “The X Factor” fame is leading the charge for programming for the as-yet-unnamed streaming platform.

Chick-fil-A has dabbled in entertainment projects in the past. The company created “Stories of Evergreen Hills,” a series of short animated films published on its website. The <a href="https://www.chick-fil-a.com/customer-support/events-and-promotions/stories-of-evergreen-hills/what-is-stories-of-evergreen-hills">series</a> “follows a young girl named Sam as she discovers how little acts of kindness can bring people together,” the description says.
While fast food and entertainment may seem like an unlikely pairing, it’s not the first time two seemingly unrelated industries teamed up. The outlet noted that ride-share company Lyft produced an eight-episode game show series called “Lucky Lyft Trivia Show” hosted by Bob the Drag Queen. Also, Airbnb produced the documentary “Gay Chorus Deep South” for MTV in 2019, which was about the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus touring the South.
Retail behemoth Walmart also got into the streaming business, partnering with Paramount+ to give Walmart+ members streaming access to the platform beginning in 2022.

The fast food restaurant’s ties to entertainment are stronger than customers may realize. Chick-fil-A is owned by the Cathy family. According to <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2024/8/21/24225507/chick-fil-a-streaming-service">The Verge</a>, they control an independently managed trust, which helped found Atlanta-based company Trilith Studios, which frequently works with Marvel.
Chick-fil-A has yet to announce or publicly comment on plans for entertainment content.

Brown-Forman Corp., the company that makes the iconic Jack Daniels whiskey, has reportedly decided to terminate Jack Daniels&#8217; diversity, equity and inclusion program after a boycott was threatened.
On Wednesday, the Jack Daniels company issued a letter from its Executive Leadership Team. They announced, “[W]e launched our diversity and inclusion strategy in 2019. Since then, the world has evolved, our business has changed, and the legal and external landscape has shifted dramatically, particularly within the United States. With these new dynamics at play, we must adjust our work to ensure it continues to drive business results while appropriately recognizing the current environment in which we find ourselves.”
The letter added that the company would be “removing our quantitative workforce and supplier diversity ambitions; ending participation in the Human Rights Campaign&#8217;s Corporate Equality Index survey; and reviewing training programs for consistency with an evolved strategy,” as conservative activist Robby Starbuck, who had planned to launch a boycott, reported.
Starbuck revealed that the letter came from a “screenshot of one of the multiple folders we have on them. Overall we had well over 15GB of files, photos and videos.”

On Monday, motorcycle giant Harley-Davidson announced that it was backing away from diversity, equity, and inclusion policies after facing criticism from conservative customers in the last few months.

The changes at the company took place after the company received sharp criticism from conservatives back in July when Starbuck highlighted many of the company’s LGBT-focused initiatives, including training employees to be “allies” and promoting the work of Critical Race Theory proponents.
