Former President Joe Biden said in an interview released Wednesday that he stayed in the 2024 presidential race for so long because he had been &#8220;so successful&#8221; in implementing his agenda.
In his first <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0m9mvemxrwo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a> since leaving the White House, Biden defended his decision to seek re-election, boasted about his record in office, and criticized President Donald Trump&#8217;s foreign policy. During the discussion with the BBC, Biden doubled down on his decision to stay in the presidential race as long as he did and insisted that the race&#8217;s outcome would not have changed had he dropped out earlier.
“I don’t think it would have mattered. We left at a time when we had a good candidate, she was fully funded,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And what happened was&#8230; I had become, what we had set out to do, no one thought we could do, I had become so successful in our agenda, it was hard to say, ‘Now I’m going to stop now.’&#8221;
At the time of his decision, Biden&#8217;s popularity was underwater. He was trailing in the polls, and there were increasing questions about his health after he appeared disjointed during his first debate with Trump.
&#8220;I meant what I said&#8230;I’m preparing to hand this to the next generation. The transition government. But things moved so quickly that it made it difficult to walk away. It was a hard decision,&#8221; he added. 
Biden also attacked the Trump administration&#8217;s foreign policy, saying that Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth&#8217;s criticism of European countries freeloading off the United States was unfounded. He said that he was concerned about the future of NATO.
“It’s a grave concern. I think it would change the modern history of the world,&#8221; Biden said. “Look, we are not the essential nation. We’re the only nation in a position to have the capacity to bring people together, lead the world. Otherwise you’re going to have China and the former Soviet Union, Russia stepping up.&#8221;
Biden also criticized Trump&#8217;s statements about making Canada the 51st state and potentially acquiring Greenland.
“What the hell is going on here? What president ever talks like that? That’s not who we are. We are about freedom, democracy, opportunity, not about confiscation,&#8221; Biden said. 
Last month, Biden gave his first speech since leaving office, criticizing the Trump administration&#8217;s Department of Government Efficiency project.

A freelance journalist who reports frequently about Israel and Gaza on the BBC’s Arabic channel has issued monstrously murderous antisemitic posts on social media, including, “We shall burn you as Hitler did, but this time we won’t have a single one of you left.”
“Samer Elzaenen has appeared on BBC Arabic more than a dozen times since the conflict erupted following the October 7 Hamas attacks on southern Israel,” <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/04/26/well-burn-jews-like-hitler-did-says-bbcs-reporter-in-gaza/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Telegraph</a> reported. “The Palestinian journalist has also repeatedly described the Hamas terrorists who carried out the October 7 attacks as ‘resistance fighters,’ including those who targeted young music fans at the Nova festival.”

After the February 2023 attack in which a Palestinian terrorist murdered two boys, aged eight and six, and a 20-year-old man, Elzaenen said the victims “will soon go to hell.”
In July 2022, Elzaenen, 33, posted on Facebook, “When things go awry for us, shoot the Jews, it fixes everything.”
In May 2011, Elzaenen wrote on Facebook, “My message to the Zionist Jews: We are going to take our land back, we love death for Allah’s sake the same way you love life. We shall burn you as Hitler did, but this time we won’t have a single one of you left.”
He has also used the hashtag stating: “#We Are All Hamas You Son of a Jewess” while calling the terrorists “heroes” and “martyrs,” The Telegraph noted, adding that Ahmed Qannan, another regular BBC Arabic freelance contributor, said after Palestinians murdered seven Israelis on Holocaust Memorial Day in January 2023, that those wounded in the attack would also die. He responded to a friend who railed, “We want to see some throats cut,” by saying, “Don’t give up on your ambition.”
The Telegraph has also reported that regular BBC Arabic contributor Ahmed Alagha was accused of calling Jews “devils.”
The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA) discovered the horrific social media posts. A CAMERA UK spokesman said: “The BBC misleadingly frames freelance journalists used by the Arabic service as mere ‘contributors’ so it won’t have to take responsibility for the hatred they regularly spew in social media. Providing live reporting from the Gaza Strip and other world locations, it is not their opinion that the BBC asks them to share with its audience but their eyewitness, based on their presence on the ground.”
In March 2024, BBC News CEO Deborah Turness was <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/03/19/bbc-news-verify-israel-gaza-palestine-anti-semitism/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confronted</a> in Parliament about an article by former BBC television director Danny Cohen that targeted the BBC for the anti-Israel bias of journalists working for the BBC Verify brand. The article appeared in The Telegraph; Turness dismissed it as “positioned in a hostile media outlet.” She also stated that the BBC was “transparent in our account and in our journalism.”
In March, British Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch urged “wholesale reform” of BBC Arabic, writing to Tim Davie, the BBC’s director-general, “BBC Arabic is intended to provide high-quality, trusted news for the ­hundreds of millions of people who speak Arabic. It should uphold the highest standards of public-service broadcasting. Instead, it seems that the World Service may be fomenting ­extremism and misleading audiences – while funded by the taxpayer and ­licence fees. This is simply unacceptable and must stop.”

“We are hearing from Reuters that is reporting that Israel’s — it says its forces are carrying out an operation against Hamas in Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital and they are targeting people, including medical teams as well as Arabic speakers. They are also saying that Israel is calling on all Hamas operatives in the hospital to surrender at this point,” the BBC presenter claimed, then repeated, “Once again we are hearing from Reuters that Israel says that its forces are carrying out an operation against Hamas in that hospital that we had just heard of; they are targeting Arabic speakers as well as some of the medical staff there and they are asking all Hamas operatives in the hospital to surrender.”

BBC Shows Anti-Israel Bias Again, Wants Any Anti-Bibi Speaker To Rip Gaza War For Any Reason

In October, journalists from leading mainstream media outlets embedded with the Israeli Defense Forces on tours in Lebanon. But when Hezbollah threatened legal action against the journalists, they all abandoned ship — and a month later, none have returned.
The IDF organized the tours on September 30, October 11, and October 13 to expose Hezbollah’s vast terror infrastructure. Reporters were given a firsthand look at tunnels and weapons caches hidden in villages, and other Hezbollah resources Israel faces as it attempts to dismantle the terrorist group.
Among the outlets represented during the 90 to 120-minute visits were the BBC, CNN, Fox News, the Associated Press, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and Reuters.
On October 12, BBC reporter Lucy Williamson <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c80r9zyk89yo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">published a report</a> titled, “Inside Israel’s combat zone in southern Lebanon” about what she witnessed. In response, on October 14, Hezbollah condemned the BBC, accusing it of violating Lebanon’s sovereignty and calling for legal action against the outlet and its staff in Lebanon.
“Not only did the BBC, across all its platforms and languages, display blatant bias towards the killers and criminals, justifying the Zionist barbarism against the Palestinian and Lebanese people, but it also shamelessly sent a team of journalists who entered one of the southern villages accompanied by the occupying army, violating Lebanese territory, sovereignty, and laws, as shown in the reports published by the organization,” Hezbollah wrote.

“Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office denounces this unjustifiable and unacceptable move as it calls on the Ministry of Information, the National Media Council, and relevant judicial and security authorities to take legal action against the BBC and its teams operating in Lebanon,” the statement added.
A subsequent statement <a href="https://daraj.media/en/journalists-accompanying-israeli-occupation-forces-in-southern-lebanon-where-do-ethical-and-professional-boundaries-lie/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly expanded</a> the condemnation to all outlets that participated.
An Israeli government official granted anonymity told The Daily Wire that several reporters said they could no longer participate in the tours for fear of the safety of their colleagues working in Lebanon. Not a single mainstream outlet has accepted an invitation to embed since Hezbollah issued its letter, but many are requesting access to travel to Gaza with the IDF, according to the source.

Following the BBC report, seven BBC Arabic employees suspended their work in protest over their colleague’s participation in the tour, <a href="https://english.almanar.com.lb/2231946" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hezbollah-run outlet Al-Manar</a> reported.
The employees, Sanaa al-Khoury, Mohammad Hamdar, Marie-Josee Azzi, and Joy Slim, and three others from the BBC Extra team, reportedly refused to return to work unless the BBC issued an apology or disciplined their colleagues who were embedded with the IDF. The BBC has not issued a formal apology or stated that they disciplined the team that entered Lebanon through Israel.
The Media Secretariat of the Lebanese Popular Conference urged the Lebanese government “to halt the operations of the BBC team in Lebanon due to its cooperation with the Zionist enemy forces and its violation of Lebanese laws and national sovereignty,” <a href="https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2024/10/16/735377/bbc-fox-news-line-fire-embedding-journalists-south-lebanon-israeli-army" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to</a> the Iranian regime-run outlet, PressTV.

The letter pointed out “impartiality breaches in matters of public controversy relating to Israel and Gaza,” broadcast mistakes that “suggest bias,” and an account from anonymous sources “of the fear and mental health toll on Jewish BBC staff, their feelings of isolation and alienation from their bosses and experiences of prejudice and racism at work.”
But BBC Chairman Samir Shah dismissed the call for a formal investigation, responding that the BBC is “successful” in creating an “inclusive working environment where people from all backgrounds feel welcome, safe and supported. &#8230; I am satisfied, however, that where we have made errors, the executive has acted appropriately and handled matters in accordance to the guidance as they apply to my colleagues. Following your correspondence, I have asked the executive to review the papers you sent and to see if there’s anything included that has not been previously considered.”
Pearlman called Shah’s response a “dismissive letter,” adding, “No other minority has been or ever will be treated with this level of disdain. Over 200 Jews from within the industry, many of whom work at the BBC, felt the need to add their names to a detailed letter, over 30 pages of grievances beyond refute. The response, nothing to see here, not even worthy of an investigation, gaslighting by every definition.”
The BBC’s response to the letter “would have made that ex-employee George Orwell smile,” Daws snapped, calling it “disingenuous and frankly mealy-mouthed. &#8230; The BBC has a systemic problem with its reporting of Israel that often crosses the line into anti-Semitism. I for one will not be placated with merely sympathetic words. To quote Orwell – ‘Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear’ – unless you’re Jewish writing to the BBC board he could have added.”

In February, former British attorney general Sir Michael Ellis accused the BBC of institutional anti-Semitism, <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/02/27/bbc-is-institutionally-anti-semitic-says-sir-michael-ellis/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stating</a>, “The BBC’s senior management has fundamentally failed to deal with this problem and uphold its own guidelines, and the organization now appears complicit in peddling misinformation and allowing anti-Semitism to fester. And in those circumstances I have come to the conclusion that the BBC is institutionally anti-Semitic. &#8230;‌What makes the BBC institutionally anti-Semitic is not that there is bias or anti-Semitism within – sadly, there’s a lot of that everywhere. It is the fact that management has not done what they should be doing about it.‌ &#8230; To hold oneself up as neutral and to be biased is a form of corruption.”‌
“In January, the BBC was forced to apologize for airing an unverified December radio report that accused Israel Defense Forces troops of executing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip,” Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/bbc-chair-denies-plea-from-200-jewish-staffers-calling-formal-probe-antisemitism-newsroom?intcmp=tw_fnc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a>. “In November, BBC News Channel aired a report that claimed Israeli forces had descended on Al Shifa hospital in Gaza and targeted ‘medical teams and Arab speakers’ inside. While reports did indicate the IDF had entered the hospital, none corroborated the claim that soldiers had targeted those inside. &#8230; Following Hamas&#8217; invasion of Israel on October 7, the BBC repeatedly referred to the organization as ‘freedom fighters,’ ‘gunmen’ or ‘militants’ rather than terrorists.”

The wife and two daughters of a BBC horseracing commentator have been killed in a crossbow attack, with police capturing the suspect after a day-long manhunt.
British police were called to the home of commentator John Hunt in Bushey, Hertfordshire, around 7 p.m. local time on Tuesday. Once there, police discovered three women with serious injuries, Deadline <a href="https://deadline.com/2024/07/bbc-commentator-john-hunt-wife-crossbow-attack-1236005820/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
“Sadly, despite our best efforts, the women died a short time later, at the scene,” Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson told reporters after the incident. “Our overarching objective today is to protect the public and locate Kyle Clifford, who is wanted in connection with the murder of the three women in what we believe is a targeted incident.”
Clifford is a former soldier and the ex-boyfriend of one of the slain women.
Armed police and search teams looked for Clifford throughout Wednesday, finally capturing him in the evening without incident.
“Following an extensive search, Kyle Clifford, aged 26, was found in the Enfield area by officers this afternoon,&#8221; Herts Police Department said in a statement, <a href="https://deadline.com/2024/07/bbc-commentator-john-hunt-wife-crossbow-attack-1236005820/">according to Deadline</a>. “He is receiving medical treatment having been found with injuries. No shots were fired by police.”
Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, told reporters following Clifford&#8217;s capture that &#8220;the suspect has been located and nobody else is being sought in connection with the investigation at this time.&#8221;
The Independent <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/police-manhunt-kyle-clifford-triple-murder-b2577197.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that “swarms” of officers were seen raiding a home in Rendlesham Road, Enfield, on Wednesday morning.

The three female victims were identified as Hunt’s wife, Carol, 61; his daughter Hannah, 28; and another daughter Louise, 25.
Police have said the attack was carried out with a crossbow and possibly other weapons, <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c6p284ng14yt" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to BBC</a>.
Jacqueline Ball told the BBC earlier Wednesday that schools in the area were in “lockdown,” and children were being kept indoors while police searched for Clifford. Other parents told the outlet they were given specific times, which were staggered, for when they could pick up their children from school.
The attack comes as Britain’s Home Office is looking to tighten laws on citizens owning crossbows, even though fewer than 10 crossbow attacks occurred between 2011 and 2021. Despite this, the department said it was “clear that when used as a weapon, crossbows do pose a risk.”

A leftist BBC reporter complained during an interview over the weekend with a former spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that Israel did not tell Hamas terrorists that it was coming to get the hostages.
The comment, which was widely slammed on social media, happened with Helena Humphrey interviewed Jonathan Conricus, who is now a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD).
Humphrey&#8217;s remarks come after Israel launched a surprise raid at two locations inside Gaza on Saturday that led to four hostages being successfully rescued.
There is no confirmation about the potential number of civilians who may have been killed during the operation as it was later revealed that some alleged &#8220;civilians&#8221; were actually working with Hamas to hold the hostages in their homes. Hamas, the terrorist group that controls the government in Gaza, has repeatedly lied throughout the war about the number of civilians who have been killed and about incidents that have unfolded, like when a terrorist rocket killed a number of Palestinians.
Humphrey asked if there should &#8220;have been a warning to those civilians for them to get out on time?&#8221;
Conricus responded: &#8220;Of course, we can&#8217;t anticipate Israel to be warning ahead of a raid to extract or to save hostages because then what the terrorists would do is to kill the hostages, and that would defeat the purpose.&#8221;
&#8220;I think the whole civilian issue here really needs to be analyzed impartially and understood,&#8221; he said. &#8220;The Israeli hostages were held and jailed by Palestinian civilians in a Palestinian civilian area, and as regrettable as any loss of life is, I think that we would have to investigate really who are the people who jailed these Israeli civilians for eight months? Why did they do it? What was the role of the surrounding community and the hundreds if not thousands of Palestinians who for sure were aware of the fact that these Israeli hostages were being held in their midst, and why were they complicit with Hamas?&#8221;

A key part of the recently wrapped actor’s strike dealt with something on every person’s mind in 2024.
Artificial Intelligence, or AI for short.
The new Screen Actors Guild deal, which allowed stars to get back on stage again after a 118-day pause, offered protections against the rise of AI. <a href="https://ew.com/tv/actors-strike-over-whats-in-new-sag-aftra-contract/#:~:text=The%20strike%20officially%20ended%20early,in%20the%20next%20few%20weeks." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Studios can’t use the likeness</a> of an SAG actor without their consent. That holds for stars like Brad Pitt down to background performers.
That mattered. And that might not be enough to stop its use in stories large and small.
The “small” part might be the most nettlesome to Hollywood, Inc.
We’re already seeing examples of smaller projects dipping their toes in AI. Yes, they’re drawing fire for their actions, but it likely won’t stop others from doing the same.
The new horror film “Late Night with the Devil” offers a wry spin on the classic talk-show format. David Dastmalchian (“Ant-Man”) stars as a ‘70s-era host so eager for ratings that he invites a woman allegedly possessed by the devil on his show.
The low-budget film leaned on AI to create images seen in the final product. The backlash proved immediate, especially after <a href="https://screenrant.com/late-night-with-the-devil-movie-box-office-666-explained/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Late Night” overperformed at the box office.</a>
Directors Cameron and Colin Cairnes, who reportedly finished the film <a href="https://theweek.com/late-night-with-the-devil-ai-art-debate" target="_blank" rel="noopener">before the strike’s settlement</a>, shared a statement on their creative decision to Variety in response.
“In conjunction with our amazing graphics and production design team, all of whom worked tirelessly to give this film the 70s aesthetic we had always imagined, we experimented with AI for three still images which we edited further and ultimately appear as very brief interstitials in the film.”

Veteran performer Sara Poyzer of “Mamma Mia!” musical fame, shared a sour note on social media saying she was recently replaced by AI for a vocal performance. The note featured part of an email announcing who she lost a gig to:
“We have had the approval from the BBC to use the AI generated voice so we won’t need Sara anymore.”
The head of the BBC said the broadcasting giant will use AI <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/bbc-reform-truth-british-storytelling-ai-partnerships-tim-davie-1235856342/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“on our terms”</a> moving forward.
The fear is real in more ways than one.
Creators worry about professional blowback from any attempt to use AI on their projects. The industry understands just how helpful AI can be in certain areas, especially now given Hollywood is eager to cut costs thanks to a wobbly economy and streaming platform fiscal woes.
Indie filmmakers are eager to embrace any cost-cutting measures to get their stories made. When found-footage horror exploded following the release of 1999’s “The Blair Witch Project,” studios leaned aggressively on the gimmick to dramatically lower production costs.
That will likely happen, sooner or later, with AI.
That’s precisely what an artist working with Loor TV has in mind. The new streaming channel, which promises Christian storytelling with an edge, is behind a new show called “Fleur De Lis” by Ethan Hill. The show <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7176243991917522946/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">employs AI tech</a> to render both the animated show’s backgrounds and character voices.
“AI is an aid to this show, not the creator of the show. Five episodes in and the rough around the edges production and janky AI has become part of its charm. Much like construction paper and South Park &#8230;. Ethan is very cautious that AI carefully balanced as a tool, not the show runner,” Loor TV CEO Marcus Pittman shared on his LinkedIn account.
The cost? Pittman said about $200 per episode. He added the show’s creator hopes to move away from AI once the project gains financial flexibility.
YouTube creators also have less reason to avoid AI technology to make viral-friendly videos. Consider the many “deep fake” celebrity clips where computers seamlessly switch out a performer’s face for a more recognizable star.
This video of “Arnold Schwarzenegger” singing a tune from “The Sound of Music” dressed as a nun is a perfect example. It sounds remarkably like the ‘80s action superstar, and it looks as if the clip’s creator snatched him straight from the Reagan era and threw a nun’s habit on him. Watch:

The clip generated more than 16K views in just two days.
Many influencers and creators aren’t bound by SAG rules. They just want content and the clicks those videos bring. Technological barriers have been dropping long before the rise of AI, allowing indie creators to compete with established brands. Consider Sam the Cooking Guy’s YouTube flock (3.68M subscribers) trumps The Food Network’s audience (2.5M subscribers).
Adding AI tools to the mix will further dissolve the barriers between the two sides.
AI may be the greatest tool indie filmmakers, who squeeze every penny possible to complete their visions, ever imagined. That’s especially true for creators locked out of the mainstream.
We’ve seen a flood of Right-leaning documentaries in recent years, sharing stories that veteran directors wouldn’t touch. They lack the publicity engines afforded to studio artists, from marketing teams to news outlets happy to spread the word about them.
Budgets are understandably low, too.
Throw some AI magic into the mix, and suddenly a lo-fi documentary can compete with anything Michael Moore has to offer.
That might be the scariest thing of all for progressive Hollywood.

The BBC news network has issued an apology for regurgitating a false claim from the terrorist organization Hamas that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were executing Palestinians inside Gaza.
The BBC reported on Christmas Eve that Israel was carrying out &#8220;summary executions&#8221; of Palestinian civilians inside Gaza, Deadline <a href="https://deadline.com/2024/01/bbc-apologizes-reporting-hamas-israel-execution-claims-1235700076/">reported</a>. The report said that the news agency AFP, which said it could not verify the claims, appeared to be the source of the story.
&#8220;In overnight output [on BBC radio news bulletins] we ran a story about Hamas accusing the Israeli army of carrying out summary executions in the Gaza strip,&#8221; the BBC said in a statement. &#8220;This was a Hamas statement, but although the accusations were attributed and our story contained a response from the Israeli military saying they were unaware of the incident and that Hamas was a terrorist organisation that did not value truth, we had not made sufficient effort to seek corroborating evidence to justify reporting the Hamas claim. We apologise for this mistake.&#8221;
The Times of Israel <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/bbc-apologizes-for-report-accusing-idf-of-summary-executions-in-the-gaza-strip/">noted</a> that the BBC has faced intense criticism, including from the British government, for refusing to call Hamas a terrorist organization.
The BBC has been forced to apologize for reporting false claims against Israel as the country hunts down the Islamic terrorists responsible for murdering 1,200 Israelis during the unprecedented October 7 terrorist attack.
The network <a href="https://deadline.com/2023/10/bbc-wrong-to-speculate-on-gaza-hospital-blast-1235577943/?_thumbnail_id=1235577978">speculated</a> on air that Israel was behind an explosion at a hospital inside Gaza. It was later proven that the explosion was caused by a rocket fired by terrorists with Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The BBC also issued an <a href="https://deadline.com/2023/11/bbc-apologizes-israel-gaza-hospital-raid-1235612468/">apology</a> after claiming that Israeli troops targeted Arabs and medics during their raid of Al-Shifa, a hospital inside Gaza that was used as a terrorist command center. The network, which misquoted a Reuters news article, said Israeli troops were “targeting people, including medical teams as well as Arab speakers.” What the report actually said was that the IDF had Arabic-speaking soldiers and medics that were at the scene to make sure that “supplies reach those in need.”

BBC Apologizes For Falsely Claiming Israeli Soldiers Executed Civilians Inside Gaza

We are not afraid.
We, the citizens of the West, are not afraid.
And we should not be afraid.
The massive pro-Hamas rallies we have seen in nearly every major Western city and across college campuses are designed to intimidate.
But here is the optimistic reality: Far more people in the West oppose Hamas than support them. Far more people are in favor of Israel wiping Hamas off the map than are in favor of Hamas retaining any level of power.
The silent majority may be silent.
But it is a majority.
That much was clear yesterday at the National Mall in Washington D.C., where pro-Israel ralliers, mostly Jewish, came by the hundreds of thousands — <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/11/14/news/nearly-300000-descend-on-dcs-national-mall-for-march-largest-pro-israel-gathering-in-history/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">300,000 in all</a>, the largest single gathering of Jews in modern history. They came from Florida and California and New York and New Jersey. They came from Cleveland and Chicago and Houston.
They came for one reason: to show that those who support Israel are more numerous than those who support Israel’s enemies.

The ralliers showed far more than that, actually. They showed that those who support Israel love the West — and by extension, they demonstrated that those who hate Israel hate the West. The contrast could not have been clearer. The pro-Israel rally was replete with American flags, with pride for our country. The pro-Israel rally featured no hate chants, no calls for genocide, no blood-curdling baying on behalf of the targeting of innocents. Instead, it featured prayer, solidarity, and love.
As one police officer <a href="https://twitter.com/DavidM_Friedman/status/1724590987161313585">reportedly</a> put it, “I received a career’s worth of thank yous in one day.”

Meanwhile, at a pro-Hamas rally <a href="https://jewishjournal.com/los_angeles/347287/pro-palestinian-protesters-chant-long-live-the-intifada-we-want-all-48-in-front-of-la-israeli-consulate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">on Tuesday</a> in Staten Island, people yelled, “We don’t want no two-state, we want ’48” and “From New York to Gaza, globalize the Intifada!” They also fought with police officers. Yes, the contrast is obvious.
It is obvious to me, to you, and yes, to most Americans.
The support for Israel was bipartisan at the rally. Both GOP Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer spoke.
The rally had its haters.
Hamas supporters vandalized a medical tent the night before the rally, and apparently, bus drivers refused to take Jews arriving from out of town from Dulles International Airport to the rally itself, in a clear case of religious discrimination.
All of the hating is depressing, of course. It’s even more depressing to see such sentiments in the halls of power, emanating almost entirely from the far Left. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spent yesterday ripping Israel, an unsurprising development from the morally blind dolt.
Representative Jamaal Bowman of New York, for example, took a break from pulling fire alarms to claim his opposition to Israel was actually an attempt to uphold Judaism — a truly breathtakingly audacious statement.
Meanwhile, Bowman’s fellow Hamas Squad colleagues took a different tack: Rep. Ilhan Omar claimed that all people of faith should oppose Israel. 
And then there was the inimitably idiotic AOC, who suggested that Israel should somehow find a way to negotiate with … wait for it … Hamas.
But in truth, these are fringe sentiments. According to a new poll from HarrisX, <a href="https://twitter.com/Jerusalem_Post/status/1724425559491440784">67% of Americans</a> believe Israel should continue fighting Hamas until Hamas is defeated and Israel’s hostages are released; more than <a href="https://harvardharrispoll.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/HHP_Oct23_KeyResults.pdf">eight in ten</a> Americans agreed Israel has a responsibility to protect its citizens.

This is the true America — not the pictures on TV or the minority portrayed as a majority by our pathetic media infrastructure.
Speaking of the media, they spent most of yesterday ignoring the massive rally in favor of astroturfing resistance to Israel’s mission. For example, the front page of the New York Times’ website, as of last night, made no mention of the largest Jewish rally in centuries — but they did have a front-page article about 500 anonymous members of the executive branch writing a letter to Joe Biden protesting his Israel policy.
Clearly the pro-Hamas groundswell is building, says the Times!
The media continue to do their damndest to undermine Israel’s ability to defend itself. So despite the fact every major media outlet of the last 20 years has reported that Hamas has placed its military headquarters beneath Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, the press continue to treat Israel as a political leper for pursuing that military target.
No matter that the Pentagon spokesperson confirmed yesterday that Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad use hospitals as fronts for military sites.
No matter that this behavior, under international law, transforms those sites into military sites. On Tuesday, <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/al-shifa-hospital-gaza-israel-hamas-9dc0135b" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the Wall Street Journal</a> pointed out that in 2016, U.S. forces attacked a hospital in Mosul. Actually, U.S. forces hit the hospital with an airstrike. <a href="https://www.centcom.mil/MEDIA/PRESS-RELEASES/Press-Release-View/Article/1023962/coalition-strikes-mosul-hospital/#:~:text=ISIL%20was%20using%20the%20hospital,fire%2C%20to%20strengthen%20their%20position." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Centcom reported</a> in 2016, “ISIL was using the hospital as a base of operations and command and control headquarters. … In support of the Iraqi Security Forces, Coalition aircraft conducted a precision strike on the location to target enemy fighters firing on Iraqi forces.”
No heartburn from the media. After all, Barack Obama was president at the time.
Yet Israel is attempting to take out Hamas room by room, all the while trying to protect Gazan civilians. And the media are treating that as some sort of war crime. Many members of the media keep asking if a hospital suddenly becomes a legitimate target just because Hamas is using it as a military site.
The answer, under international law, is yes. <a href="https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/ihl-treaties/gciv-1949/article-19" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Article 19</a> of the Geneva Conventions states, “The protection to which civilian hospitals are entitled shall not cease unless they are used to commit, outside their humanitarian duties, acts harmful to the enemy. Protection may, however, cease only after due warning has been given, naming, in all appropriate cases, a reasonable time limit, and after such warning has remained unheeded.”
Israel has warned Hamas and medical officials for weeks. Israel has facilitated exit from the hospital for the sick and innocent.
But <a href="https://youtu.be/alsGEc2v9yY" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the BBC lied</a> about what Israel is doing in the hospital, saying Israel Defense Forces were “targeting people, including medical teams as well as Arab speakers.” 
This, of course, was a lie. And they repeat it twice. The truth is Israel was including medical teams as well as Arab speakers.
It was an unsurprising lie, given that the BBC is effectively a Hamas propaganda arm. 
In fact, Israel is exposing its own soldiers to fire from terrorists in Al-Shifa, and <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/idf-says-medical-teams-arabic-speakers-among-troops-that-entered-gaza-hospital/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to the IDF</a>, those forces “include medical teams and Arabic speakers, who have undergone specified training to prepare for this complex and sensitive environment, with the intent that no harm is caused to the civilians being used by Hamas as human shields.”
This is something no army in history has done.
Ever.
The BBC was <a href="https://www.politico.eu/article/bbc-says-sorry-to-israel-after-reporting-it-targeted-medical-staff/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">forced to apologize</a> for that lie.
Yet Elizabeth Spiers, who writes frequently for the New York Times, stated it was a racist lie to claim Hamas uses children as human shields.
Yes, it’s now racist to point out that Hamas uses human shields. She should talk to Hamas about their racism, since they brag openly about doing it.
But here’s the thing: Nobody with a brain believes the media’s moral equivalence game.
And that’s encouraging.
All Hamas and its allies have is fear. That’s it. That’s the whole thing.
Well, we are not afraid.
The West need not be afraid.
We have both right and might on our side.

The BBC, which has presented an editorial slant against Israel for years, was forced to apologize Wednesday for falsely accusing Israel Defense Forces of committing war crimes in its attack on a Hamas command node at the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.
A BBC presenter falsely claimed twice on air that Reuters had reported that the IDF had targeted medical teams as well as Arabic speakers, instead of what Reuters actually reported, which was that the IDF had included medical teams and Arabic speakers on its team.
“We are hearing from Reuters that is reporting that Israel’s — it says its forces are carrying out an operation against Hamas in Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital and they are targeting people, including medical teams as well as Arabic speakers. They are also saying that Israel is calling on all Hamas operatives in the hospital to surrender at this point,” the BBC presenter claimed, then repeated, “Once again we are hearing from Reuters that Israel says that its forces are carrying out an operation against Hamas in that hospital that we had just heard of; they are targeting Arabic speakers as well as some of the medical staff there and they are asking all Hamas operatives in the hospital to surrender.”

Later, another presenter offered a muted apology on behalf of the network, stating, “And now, an apology from the BBC. BBC News, as it covered initial reports that Israeli forces had entered Gaza’s main hospital. We said that medical teams and Arabic speakers were being targeted; this was incorrect and misquoted a Reuters report. We should have said IDF forces included medical teams and Arabic speakers for this operation.”
“We apologize for this error, which fell below our usual editorial standards,” she concluded.

The BBC’s “usual editorial standards” regarding Israel have included, among numerous others, BBC international editor Jeremy Bowen <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOgFr8_YQbg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">describing</a> leaflets dropped by Israel warning the civilian residents of northern Gaza to move south to safety as “a non-lethal airdrop but full of menace”; BBC News presenter Anjana Gadgil <a href="https://honestreporting.com/bbc-anchor-anjana-gadgil-blood-libel-interview-with-naftali-bennett/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declaring</a>, “The Israeli forces are happy to kill children,”; BBC World Affairs editor John Simpson <a href="https://honestreporting.com/bbcs-lame-excuses-for-not-calling-hamas-terrorists/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">justifying</a> the BBC’s refusal to describe what he called the “Hamas gunmen who carried out appalling atrocities in southern Israel” as terrorists, and several journalists working for the BBC who <a href="https://honestreporting.com/bbc-arabic-journos-delete-disturbing-tweets-after-honestreporting-uncovered-anti-israel-posts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> anti-Israel tweets such as calling Israel the “terrorist apartheid state of Israel” and another that labeled all Israelis “terrorists.”
