After 9/11, dozens of state-run &#8220;Fusion Centers&#8221; <a href="https://www.thenation.com/article/society/dhs-fusion-centers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">popped</a> up all over the country. Now there are roughly 79 of them in operation, and they exist in virtually every state. The point of these centers is supposedly to facilitate cooperation between the federal government and the states in order to gather intelligence and prevent terrorist attacks and other serious threats to the homeland. But here&#8217;s the strange thing: They don&#8217;t appear to be doing that.
A couple years ago, investigative reporters at The Nation <a href="https://www.thenation.com/article/society/dhs-fusion-centers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">found</a> that the Fusion Center in Central Florida was investigating, &#8220;Criminal and Violent Extremist Use of Emojis.&#8221; The Fort Worth Fusion Center, meanwhile, was preoccupied with a plot to break the Netflix star Joe Exotic out of prison, while the Capital Region Fusion Center was busy looking into viral TikTok challenges. The Washington State Fusion Center, for its part, opened an investigation into a report , “concerning a homeowner working on cars in his driveway and letting oil run down the street into Mission Creek in Olympia.”
In any other context, this would be considered fraud. These state governments are taking money to fight terrorism, but they&#8217;re not remotely attempting to do that. In fact, they don&#8217;t appear to be doing anything of consequence whatsoever, which in this context is especially strange. Normally, when federal and state governments give themselves vast powers of surveillance and lofty new mandates, they don&#8217;t waste their time chasing down homeowners who are being a little sloppy while they work on their cars. They usually start using their expanded powers as quickly as possible.
One of two things is happening here: Either these Fusion Centers are a massive and long-standing fraud, or there&#8217;s something else going on.
For a while now, there have been signs that the latter explanation is the more plausible one. In their investigation, the Nation obtained documentation indicating that one area of focus for these Fusion Centers is, &#8220;First Amendment-Protected Events.&#8221; But the journalists weren&#8217;t able to provide much more clarity, probably because the government redacted information on their investigations in this area. So, we learned all about the TikTok investigations at these Fusion Centers, but not so much about their crackdown on the First Amendment. And that&#8217;s where things have stood for the past several years.

But yesterday, thanks to a <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/01/24/exclusive-adl-urged-law-enforcement-target-opponents-transgender-ideology/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> by Mary Margaret Olohan at The Daily Signal, we have some indication of the actual mission of these Fusion Centers, and what &#8220;First Amendment-protected events&#8221; they might be interested in. The Daily Signal obtained an email sent in February of 2023 by the Anti-Defamation League (or ADL) to the Washington State Fusion Center. That&#8217;s the same Fusion Center that was looking into that homeowner working on his car.
Here&#8217;s the subject line: &#8220;White Supremacist Fight Clubs, Anti-LGBTQ+ Hate.&#8221; In the body of the email, the ADL warns about “online amplifiers of LGBTQ+ Hate” promoting “false narratives, escalating harassment of LGBTQ+ individuals.”
This alleged hate includes, &#8220;the vilification of drag shows&#8221; and “baseless claims of ‘child grooming’ by LGBTQ+ people.” According to the ADL&#8217;s email to this Washington state counterterrorism center, this vilification, “further endangered and isolated an already at-risk community.&#8221; 
According to the Daily Signal, the email then appears to link to an ADL blog post, which identifies the purveyors of this supposedly dangerous hatred as Libs of TikTok, Gays Against Groomers, Blaze Media, Christopher Rufo, and of course that infamous international terrorist who goes by the name Matt Walsh. The post states, “The ADL is advocating for government partners to strengthen laws against perpetrators of online hate, as well as consulting with law enforcement partners to act on online hate speech that incites violence and/or credible threats.&#8221; The ADL says it&#8217;s teamed up with GLAAD as well, and they&#8217;re all apparently working with law enforcement.
In other words, the ADL told a counterterrorism agency to investigate journalists and political commentators because we&#8217;re saying things they don&#8217;t like. They don&#8217;t even claim we violated any law. Instead, they&#8217;re saying that because we oppose the chemical and physical castration of children, and because we believe in biology, therefore we&#8217;re &#8220;inciting violence.&#8221; So they call on law enforcement to &#8220;act.&#8221; The Daily Signal reached out to the Washington State Patrol about this. They&#8217;re one of the state agencies that participates in this &#8220;Fusion Center.&#8221; They indicated they take emails from the ADL and various other interest groups under advisement, but they denied opening any investigation on the basis of the ADL&#8217;s email.
Obviously we have no idea whether that&#8217;s true or not. It would certainly be strange for the ADL to send an email like this to a counterterrorism center, if they thought it would just be ignored. We also have no idea how many similar emails the ADL has sent to this particular Fusion Center. What we do know is the ADL has a very long history of not simply advising law enforcement agencies, but participating directly in law enforcement functions.
This is a from a <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/news/speeches/the-fbi-and-the-adl-working-toward-a-world-without-hate" target="_blank" rel="noopener">speech</a> that James Comey, who was the FBI director at the time, delivered to the ADL&#8217;s leadership summit back in 2014. &#8220;The FBI works with the ADL to host civil rights and hate crime training for our state and local counterparts through a number of programs. &#8230; And the ADL, of course, has even greater reach; you trained more than 12,000 law enforcement personnel last year alone, and I want to thank you for that.&#8221;
So this is not a typical political nonprofit we&#8217;re talking about here. The ADL is conducting training for law enforcement agencies, including the FBI. And these partnerships have only <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/01/24/exclusive-adl-urged-law-enforcement-target-opponents-transgender-ideology/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accelerated</a> in recent years, post-BLM. As the ADL states on its website, “In 2020 alone, ADL’s Center on Extremism provided law enforcement with critical intelligence about extremism over 1,000 times and tracked over 5,000 new incidents of hate on our online, interactive H.E.A.T. Map.” In other words, the ADL — which supposedly was founded to combat &#8220;antisemitism&#8221; — is now a de facto intelligence agency for federal and state law enforcement. This is the organization that&#8217;s now advising the Washington Fusion Center to investigate me and several other commentators for having offensive opinions.
If you know anything about the history of the ADL, this probably doesn&#8217;t surprise you. The ADL has a long and well-documented history of working with law enforcement — even going so far as to actively participate in law enforcement investigations. One of the more famous cases <a href="https://larouchepub.com/eiw/public/1993/eirv20n08-19930219/eirv20n08-19930219_057-the_adl_makes_strange_bedfellows.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">took place</a> in the 1960s, when an ADL director <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/1970/04/08/archives/inquiry-on-fbi-in-klan-death-urged.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raised money</a> for the FBI to pay some klansmen $36,000 in an effort to set up other klansmen. That incident led to a shootout and the death of one klan member. Whatever you make of that operation, journalists <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/1970/04/08/archives/inquiry-on-fbi-in-klan-death-urged.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a> at the time that it was obviously a little strange for a private, tax-exempt organization to be involved in it. The ACLU <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/1970/04/08/archives/inquiry-on-fbi-in-klan-death-urged.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">called</a> for an investigation. But in the end, no one seemed to mind. The ADL adopted a pseudo-law enforcement assistant role, which they&#8217;ve retained ever since.

I&#8217;ve focused on the ADL so far, mainly because they&#8217;re the group that&#8217;s trying to have me investigated. But there are many other organizations like the ADL doing the same thing. Maybe the most notable is the Southern Poverty Law Center, or SPLC. You might remember that the FBI <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/06/25/senate-candidates-virginia-pledge-investigate-splcs-federal-ties-attack-moms-liberty/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cited</a> the SPLC in its infamous <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/02/08/whistleblower-docs-fbi-cites-southern-poverty-law-center-in-report-on-radical-traditionalist-catholic-ideology/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">memo</a> claiming that &#8220;Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology&#8221; is a significant terror threat. The FBI tried to hide that memo but a whistleblower came forward and released it. The SPLC is a completely discredited group; they&#8217;ve even had to pay out <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/06/southern-poverty-law-center-maajid-nawaz/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">defamation</a> settlements for some of their more egregious hack jobs. And the bureau knows that, according to the whistleblower. But the FBI tried to cite them anyway, in order to justify the targeted surveillance of Catholics on the basis of their religious beliefs.
We&#8217;ve seen many examples of similar misconduct in recent years, in which the government partners with some supposedly independent, private entity in order to lend some legitimacy to its obviously illegitimate investigations. During the Trump campaign, the FBI effectively teamed up with the Washington Post in order to obtain secret surveillance warrants against the Trump team. The FBI even <a href="https://twitter.com/gregg_re/status/1658213172568793112" target="_blank" rel="noopener">copy-pasted</a> from a debunked Washington Post editorial in its FISA warrant application against Carter Page. 
More recently, the DOJ has been investigating Doctor Eithan Haim because he <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-doctor-blew-the-whistle-on-his-hospitals-transgender-clinic-now-the-feds-are-trying-to-ruin-his-life" target="_blank" rel="noopener">blew the whistle</a> on Texas Children&#8217;s Hospital, which claimed to stop butchering children but kept doing it in secret. That got the attention of trans activists and their various advocacy groups, which in turn led the DOJ to knock on Haim&#8217;s door. They know they don&#8217;t have a legal case against him. They know it&#8217;s not a violation of patient privacy to disclose the existence of unlawful and unethical procedures, without disclosing patient identities. But they&#8217;re harassing him anyway. They want to send him to prison and take away his medical license.
It&#8217;s not hard to see where this leads. As I told the Daily Signal, I have no doubt that if Biden wins another term, we will actually see prominent conservative commentators arrested on hate crime and terrorism charges. They are laying the groundwork right now. First they open investigations and start surveillance. And then, once that&#8217;s normalized, they escalate things.
I recently <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/slippery-slope-confirmed-again-50-year-old-man-competes-against-13-year-old-girls" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote about</a> slippery slopes in relation to trans ideology. This is yet another slippery slope that we&#8217;re on. The ADL is telling government counterterrorism centers to suppress political dissent. Unless they pay a price for this — and unless law enforcement agencies stop taking marching orders from these compromised activist groups — then they will continue to make these demands. And eventually they&#8217;ll get what they want.
At that point, if it gets that far, the only real question will be which of us do they hit first and try to make an example out of.

Earlier this month, the ADL claimed that Musk’s social media platform, X, which he says is dedicated to free speech, is failing to stop anti-Semitism from spreading. Musk countered by threatening the ADL with a defamation lawsuit, blaming the self-identified “human rights organization” for lost revenue. 
Shapiro defended the X owner, saying “he’s right” about the ADL’s “really ugly” tactics of trying to get advertisers to remove their revenue from the platform, comparing their chilling effect on free speech and journalism to that of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ben-shapiro-details-the-global-entities-working-to-demonetize-and-deplatform-conservative-voices">GARM</a>, the “Global Alliance for Responsible Media.” 
The Daily Wire host <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_YfR-K2ZdA">said</a> the ADL “proclaims that it is speaking in the name of Jewish causes. That is untrue. It is just a progressive interest group” that has “made excuses for some of the world’s worst anti-Semites in Congress so long as they are Democrats.”
Musk said the attacks from the ADL against his platform could “potentially” destroy “half the value of the company, so roughly $22 billion.” 
“To clear our platform’s name on the matter of anti-Semitism, it looks like we have no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League … oh the irony!” Musk <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1698828606598734225">posted</a>.
The billionaire X owner <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/18/tech/elon-musk-benjamin-netanyahu-x-antisemitism/index.html">met</a> with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Monday, and the Israeli leader asked Musk to “roll back” anti-Semitism on the social media platform, saying he hopes Musk can “find, within the confines of the First Amendment, the ability to stop not only anti-Semitism, or roll it back as best you can, but any collective hatred of people.” 
Musk responded, telling Netanyahu, “Obviously, I’m against anti-Semitism. I’m anti- really anything that is, you know, that promotes hate and conflict. And I’m in favor of that which helps society and takes us to a better future for humanity collectively.”

Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), chastised Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rashida-tlaib">Rashida Tlaib</a> (D-MI) for her critique about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/israel">Israel</a> launching a military operation in the West Bank city of Jenin.
Their clash took place Monday on Twitter after Tlaib, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/eight-minutes-with-the-president-rep-rashida-tlaib-the-lone-palestinian-american-in-congress-gains-relevance-in-israel-debate/2021/05/20/fe3139c6-b8c5-11eb-bb84-6b92dedcd8ed_story.html">a Palestinian American</a> and member of the leftist &#8220;Squad&#8221; in the House, reacted to video footage posted by Al Jazeera English that seemed to show an Israeli bulldozer destroying a street in a Jenin refugee camp.
The post from Al Jazeera English also noted that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/palestinians">Palestinian</a> officials say road destruction has hindered the ability of ambulances to reach injured people.

Greenblatt reacted by accusing Tlaib of spreading falsehoods and echoing what the Israeli Defense Force <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/02/middleeast/israel-jenin-camp-idf-raid-west-bank-intl-hnk/index.html">has said</a> about the operation — that the IDF is striking &#8220;terrorist infrastructure&#8221; while conducting a counterterrorism operation in the area.

Greenblatt, who served in former President Barack Obama&#8217;s White House, has criticized Tlaib before for her anti-Israel rhetoric: Last year, joined with Jewish pro-Israel Democrats in <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/rashida-tlaib-says-progressives-cant-be-pro-israel-drawing-fire-from-own-party/">condemning</a> Tlaib after she declared that &#8220;you cannot claim to hold progressive values yet back Israel’s apartheid government&#8221; at an American Muslims for Palestine event.

The Brooklyn Nets suspended <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kyrie-irving" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kyrie Irving</a> for at least five games without pay for failure to &#8220;unequivocally say he has no antisemitic beliefs.&#8221;
Irving shared a tweet Thursday — which appears to have been deleted — including a clip from a movie titled &#8220;Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America,&#8221; a film based on the book by Ronald Dalton that Rolling Stone said shares &#8220;anti-Semitic tropes.&#8221;
Nets officials issued a statement on Irving, saying the franchise&#8217;s view of the team&#8217;s guard is that he is &#8220;currently unfit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets.&#8221;
&#8220;Over the last several days, we have made repeated attempts to work with Kyrie Irving to help him understand the harm and danger of his actions, which began with him publicizing a film containing deeply disturbing anti-Semitic hate,&#8221; the team&#8217;s statement reads. &#8220;We believed that taking the path of education in this challenging situation would be the right one and thought that we had made progress with our joint commitment to eradicating hate and intolerance.&#8221;
Nets officials said they were &#8220;dismayed&#8221; after Irving refused to denounce antisemitic beliefs or acknowledge specific &#8220;hateful&#8221; material in the film.
&#8220;This was not the first time he had the opportunity &#8212; but failed &#8212; to clarify,&#8221; the Nets said in a statement.
Irving told reporters he takes responsibility for posting some content referring to the Jewish community that he referred to as &#8220;questionable,&#8221; &#8220;untrue,&#8221; and &#8220;unfortunate.&#8221;
&#8220;I don&#8217;t believe everything that everybody posts in a documentary,&#8221; Irving said. &#8220;So I take my responsibility.&#8221;
&#8220;I didn&#8217;t mean to cause any harm,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I&#8217;m not the one that made the documentary.&#8221;
Reporters continually pressed Irving to issue an apology. Irving again refused while slamming the media for not asking the same questions when he was a kid &#8220;dealing with, learning about the traumatic events of my familial history.&#8221;
&#8220;Where were you when I was a kid figuring out that 300 million of my ancestors are buried in America?&#8221; he said.
Yet the Nets called Irving&#8217;s refusal to disavow antisemitism &#8220;deeply disturbing&#8221; and against the organization&#8217;s values.
&#8220;Accordingly, we have decided that he is currently unfit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets,&#8221; the statement reads. &#8220;We have decided that Kyrie will serve a suspension without pay until he satisfies a series of objective remedial measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct and the suspension period served is no less than five games.&#8221;

The New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/11/03/nets-suspend-currently-unfit-kyrie-irving/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reports</a> Irving spoke to reporters after releasing a joint statement with the Nets and the Anti-Defamation League, where Irving took responsibility for the retweet and pledged $500,000 to fight hate.
Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt tweeted that Irving &#8220;clearly has a lot of work to do&#8221; following the press conference.

Irving&#8217;s suspension marks the second time for the NBA star after he refused to comply with the league&#8217;s COVID vaccination policy last season, which cost him $100 million and a four-year contract extension.

The Anti-Defamation League, an international Jewish organization founding to combat anti-Semitism, has changed its definition of racism again.
The first definition change was noticed last week, though it appears to have been changed in July 2020, following the riots sparked by the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers. As The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/adl-founded-to-combat-anti-semitism-goes-woke-changes-definition-of-racism">reported</a> earlier this week, that definition read: “The marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.”
As noted by multiple commenters, with this new definition, it could be denied that the Holocaust had anything to do with race. On Wednesday, the ADL changed the definition again to what it describes as an “interim definition”: “Racism occurs when individuals or institutions show more favorable evaluation or treatment of an individual or group based on race or ethnicity.”
As Seth Mandel, executive editor of Washington Examiner Magazine noted on Twitter, the ADL’s definition of “systemic racism” still focuses on white privilege:

Jonathan Greenblatt, a former Obama administration official who is now the CEO and national director of the ADL, asked for feedback on the new definition of racism, linking to a new page on the website for users to submit comments so that so that the organization can “move beyond the mindless trolling on social media.”
Mandel mocked the ADL’s new “interim definition,” joking that it was “a placeholder until they can find a permanent candidate!”

Prior to the definition change that occurred in July 2020, the ADL’s definition for racism read:

As The Daily Wire reported, Greenblatt in 2016 told the Atlantic: “There’s no doubt that the vast majority of American Jews live with what we would call white privilege. They aren’t looked at twice when they walk into a store. They aren’t looked at twice by someone in uniform … That obviously isn’t a privilege that people of color have the luxury of enjoying.”
To recap, prior to July 2020, the ADL&#8217;s definition of racism read: &#8220;Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics. Racial separatism is the belief, most of the time based on racism, that different races should remain segregated and apart from one another.&#8221;
In July 2020, it was changed to, “The marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.”
It now reads: “Racism occurs when individuals or institutions show more favorable evaluation or treatment of an individual or group based on race or ethnicity.”
The latest definition, however, appears to be temporary.

On Monday, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, responded to Whoopi Goldberg’s argument that the Holocaust was “not about race,” but rather “man’s inhumanity to man.”
Greenblatt said that the Holocaust was undeniably related to race, but in doing so, he appeared to undermine the ADL’s own updated definition of racism.
“No [Whoopi Goldberg], the [Holocaust] was about the Nazi’s systematic annihilation of the Jewish people – who they deemed to be an inferior race,” responded Greenblatt on Twitter. “They dehumanized them and used this racist propaganda to justify slaughtering 6 million Jews. Holocaust distortion is dangerous. #ENOUGH”

“The Holocaust isn’t about race,” Goldberg said on Monday’s episode of ABC’s “The View.” “No, it’s not about race.”
“It’s not about race,” Goldberg said again, after fellow co-host Joy Behar responded, “Well, they considered Jews a different race.”
“It’s about man’s inhumanity to man, that’s what it’s about,” Goldberg argued.
“But it’s about a white supremacy, it’s about going after Jews and gypsies,” co-host Ana Navarro interjected.
“But these are two white groups of people,” Goldberg said as her colleagues disagreed. 
“You’re missing the point,” Goldberg added. “The minute you turn it into race, it goes down this alley. Let’s talk about it for what it is. It’s how people treat each other. It’s a problem. It doesn’t matter if you’re black, or white, cause black, white, Jews, Italians, everybody eats each other.”

Now, Greenblatt is obviously correct in his rejection of Goldberg’s argument. Jews under the Nazi regime were indeed regarded as an “inferior” race, marked for elimination by the relentless racism of the Third Reich.
However, Greenblatt’s strong rejection of Goldberg’s rhetoric is somewhat confusing when we consider that his organization — the ADL — have <a href="https://twitter.com/ighaworth/status/1487127313900879876">altered</a> their own definition of racism in a manner which dilutes the racism of anti-Semitism.
“Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics,” the ADL previously wrote of “racism.” This definition falls in line with Greenblatt’s condemnation of Goldberg’s position on the Holocaust.
But the ADL’s new definition of racism is as follows: “The marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.”
And this definition is more in line with Goldberg’s initial claims than Greenblatt’s — with Goldberg having described the Holocaust as “white people doing it to white people.&#8221; After all, Jews are sporadically categorized as white when it is politically convenient, whether it be to disregard the growth of anti-Semitism among minority communities, or as part of the anti-Zionist movement. And when we consider the ADL’s latest definition of racism applying to “people of color,” and the fact that the vast majority of Jews murdered during the Holocaust were “white,” Goldberg’s contentions fall in line with the ADL.
This leaves us with two possible outcomes:
<ol>
<li>The Holocaust was undeniably built upon the racism of anti-Semitism (as well as additional forms of racism against other minority groups), which broadly contradicts the ADL’s latest definition of racism.</li>
<li>The ADL’s definition of racism is correct, and since Jews in Europe were almost entirely “white” and 1930s and 1940s Nazism was built on a Germanic form of white supremacy, the Holocaust was not “about race,” which was entirely Goldberg’s point.</li>
</ol>
Only one of these can be true, made worse by the fact that Greenblatt added — immediately after agreeing that the Holocaust was about race — that the notion of &#8220;racialized anti-Semitism&#8221; may &#8220;feel different&#8221; compared to the modern concept of racism &#8220;where primarily it&#8217;s about people of color.&#8221;
In many ways, both Goldberg and Greenblatt are arguably guilty of diluting anti-Semitism. The only difference is that Goldberg is focusing on 20th century Germany during the Holocaust, and Greenblatt is focusing on 21st century America.
The outcome, however, is ultimately the same.

“The website states the page was last updated in July 2020,” The Blaze added.
The George Floyd riots across the nation occurred after Floyd’s death in late May 2020.
In 2016, <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/12/are-jews-white/509453/">The Atlantic</a> quoted Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, saying, “There’s no doubt that the vast majority of American Jews live with what we would call white privilege. Tucker Carlson blasted the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) during an interview published Friday over the partisan organization&#8217;s calls for Fox News to fire the host.
“Oh, f*** them,” Carlson bluntly <a href="https://www.thewrap.com/tucker-carlson-says-f-them-after-adl-calls-for-his-firing-over-replacement-theory-video/">told</a> host Megyn Kelly. “The ADL was such a noble organization that had a very specific goal, which was to fight anti-Semitism. That’s a virtuous goal. I think they were pretty successful over the years. Now it’s operated by a guy who’s … just an apparatchik of the Democratic Party.”
The ADL has called for Carlson&#8217;s firing over his comments about &#8220;great replacement&#8221; theory. The Fox host knocked the organization for weighing in on his comments at all, contending that &#8220;great replacement&#8221; is not a theory but mere language of the Democrat Party.

&#8220;The &#8216;great replacement theory&#8217; is in fact not a theory, it&#8217;s something that the Democrats brag about constantly, up to and including the president. On one of his recent shows, Carlson aired a clip of President Joe Biden back in 2015 demanding a &#8220;relentless&#8221; steady stream of immigration and emphasizing that &#8220;white stock&#8221; will be a &#8220;minority,&#8221; which is &#8220;not a bad thing&#8221; but a &#8220;source of our strength.&#8221;
“The source of our strength is non-White DNA?&#8221; Carlson told Kelly, highlighting Biden&#8217;s words. &#8220;I mean, how could you say something like that? Really? So, people’s value to the country is determined by their genes and their skin color? That’s like Nazi stuff.&#8221;
Carlson added, language like that should be disqualifying for anyone trying to hold the highest office in the land, no matter which race is being talked about.
“I’m 52. I grew up in a country that tried really, really hard – didn’t always succeed, but certainly tried as a matter of official policy – to be colorblind, and to judge people not on their appearances, but on what they do and the choices that they make, on their character, on their inherent moral value,” Carlson said.
Kelly also noted some politicos have highlighted that Democrats want immigration for political reasons, not necessarily racial reasons, to which Carlson agreed by saying, &#8220;of course.&#8221;
Cubans are right-wing, and Democrats do not want streams of Cubans pouring into the U.S., but migrants who will vote Democrat and give them power, Kelly explained. Carlson then noted where migrants are being placed: red and moderate states that Democrats want to turn blue, like Texas, Maine, and Tennessee.
Notably, Carlson had no idea about the calls to fire him from the ADL until Kelly told the Fox host of the news. Kelly told viewers before she brought up the controversy that Carlson does not look at any mainstream press about himself.

The organizers of a Philadelphia food truck event meant to showcase immigrant-owned businesses apparently learned the wrong lessons from the backlash they received after disinviting a food truck owned by Israeli immigrants.
On Saturday, the food truck known as Moshava posted on Instagram that its invitation to the “Taste of Home” event for Father’s Day had been rescinded, with organizers citing potential protests due to their ties to Israel, the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/06/20/israeli-vendor-booted-from-food-truck-event/">reported</a>.
“The organizers of the event heard rumors of a protest happening because of us being there and decided to uninvite us from fear that the protesters would get aggressive and threaten their event,” Moshava posted on its Instagram account.
The food truck owners also posted a screenshot of the statement they received from one of the two organizers of the event, Eat Up the Borders, which claimed it disinvited Moshava “in order to best serve our guests.” The organizer also said in its statement that it still maintains a policy “to give vendors from all nationalities a platform to showcase their talents and provide an awesome experience for all.”
In its Instagram post, Moshava said it hoped the organizers would actually practice what they preach by creating a place “for all religions and nationalities – not just all of them except Israeli and Jewish ones.”
A backlash ensued against the organizers, who were accused of anti-Semitism or giving in to anti-Semitic threats.
Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) said in a statement that rescinding Moshava’s invitation “represents surrendering to the threats of bigots.”
“If the explanation of the organizers that Moshava’s invitation was revoked due to the threat of protests and violence is true, then I believe such threats should be investigated by law enforcement, as no person or organization should be coerced or threatened by the prospect of intimidation or violence,” Boyle said in the statement.
As the Post noted, the Anti-Defamation League of Philadelphia <a href="https://twitter.com/ADLPhiladelphia/status/1406588790446170114">wrote</a> on Twitter that it was “deeply disturbed” by the organizers’ decision.
“We have spoken with the event organizers and expressed that we unequivocally disagree with their decision,” the ADL wrote. “We do understand that threats to the organizers were made, and we understand the fear and confusion that comes when your community faces that intimidation.”
“However, the decision to bow to this antisemitic intimidation by disinviting Moshava was wrong,” it added. “In the next few days, we will be meeting with the organizers to discuss what happened, provide education on antisemitism and share communal security resources.”
In response, Eat Up the Borders made its social media pages private, and the co-organizer, Sunflower Philly, announced the entire “Taste of Home” event would be canceled.
“At Sunflower Philly we truly believe in creating a positive and inclusive community space here in Philadelphia,” the organization said in its own Instagram <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CQWPaGPj5xJ/">post</a> on Sunday.
“Due to the ongoing situation with one of our event partners @eatuptheborder and @moshava_philly we have to decided to cancel the ‘Taste of Home’ event today.”
“Sunflower Philly is a non-profit organization created to bring our community together through art, music &amp; sustainability. We will continue to host events with people of all races, nationalities and sexual orientations who are aligned with our mission,” the group added.

Amid the rise of blatant (sometimes violent) anti-Semitism that has erupted across the country, comedic actor Sacha Baron Cohen called out Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey for the promulgation of Jew-hatred on his platform.
In a tweet on Saturday, Cohen shared a recent report from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) showing that a wave in anti-Semitic violence and rhetoric followed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

According to the ADL report, up to 17,000 posts on Twitter positively referenced Adolf Hitler between May 7 and May 14.

An analysis of Twitter in the days following the recent outbreak of violence showed more than 17,000 tweets which used variations of the phrase, “Hitler was right” between May 7 and May 14, 2021. ADL has also seen an increase in on-the-ground activity that demonizes Israel and that has crossed at times into antisemitism.</blockquote>
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt warned people that anti-Semitic rhetoric has real-world consequences.
“As the violence between Israel and Hamas continues to escalate, we are witnessing a dangerous and drastic surge in anti-Jewish hate right here at home,” said Greenblatt. “We are tracking acts of harassment, vandalism and violence as well as a torrent of online abuse. It’s happening around the world— from London to Los Angeles, from France to Florida, in big cities like New York and in small towns, and across every social media platform.”
“To those who choose to indulge in age-old antisemitic tropes, exaggerated claims and inflammatory rhetoric, it has consequences: attacks in real life on real people targeted for no other reason than they are Jewish,” he continued. “This is antisemitism, plain and simple. And it’s indisputably inexcusable in any context. ADL remains steadfast in its commitment to fight antisemitism and hate with every ounce of energy we have,” Greenblatt continued. “We are working actively with authorities in cities across the country to identify the perpetrators of hate and to protect our community. We call on leaders throughout our country to speak out against antisemitism and stand alongside the Jewish community in the face of this wave of hate before it gets any worse.”
Following the riot on Capitol Hill on January 6, Sacha Baron Cohen publicly backed the blacklisting of President Donald Trump on every major internet platform.
“Virtually every social media company has removed Trump…EXCEPT YouTube. Trump’s YouTube channel is STILL showing videos of his election lies to MILLIONS of people!” Cohen tweeted in January as he tagged YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki as well as Google CEO Sundar Pichai in the post.
YouTube later banned Trump from the platform.

On Wednesday, a judge did not impose prison time on a transgender ex-neo-Nazi who was a former member of a neo-Nazi group that has gone after journalists, citing the person&#8217;s difficult past.
<a href="https://apnews.com/article/arizona-florida-washington-gender-identity-conspiracy-1952b35f4817342779ba387c33faa9a1">The Associated Press</a> reported that Taylor Parker-Dipeppe, who goes by Tyler, was charged early last year alongside three other people who were members of the Atomwaffen Division, a white supremacist group. In September, Parker-Dipeppe pleaded guilty “to conspiracy to mail threatening communications and to commit cyberstalking,” according to AP.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Woods reportedly acknowledged Parker-Dipeppe’s difficult past but went for a prison term that would last 16 months. He wrote in a sentencing memo that Parker-Dipeppe “instilled terror in his victims and contributed to the wide sense of fear and unease that many groups in this country understandably feel.”
According to <a href="https://www.tampabay.com/news/crime/2020/02/26/spring-hill-man-among-four-accused-in-neo-nazi-harassment-plot/">Tampa Bay Times</a> reporting from February 2020, federal agents were watching Parker-Dipeppe before they proceeded with a multi-person arrest. The outlet reported that a criminal complaint filed against Parker-Dipeppe and others stated that Parker-Dipeppe picked up another man and &#8220;went to a home in Tampa they believed was the residence of a news reporter who was born and raised in Puerto Rico, according to the complaint. But the reporter did not live at the home. They had the wrong address. The reporter is not identified in the court document.&#8221;
The reporting <a href="https://www.tampabay.com/news/crime/2020/02/26/spring-hill-man-among-four-accused-in-neo-nazi-harassment-plot/">continued</a>:
<blockquote>The pair walked up to the home and affixed a poster to the front of it directly below a bedroom window. In bold text interspersed with swastikas, it read: WE ARE WATCHING WE ARE NOONE [sic] WE ARE EVERYONE WE KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE DO NOT F&#8212; WITH US.
The bottom featured a hazard symbol often included on Atomwaffen materials, and the words YOU HAVE BEEN VISITED BY YOUR LOCAL NAZIS.
A woman who lived at the home with her father and child saw the poster, the complaint states.</blockquote>
According to the local outlet, the rest of the members of the group faced accusations of taking similar actions around the country. “Other targets included the editor of a Jewish publication and two people associated with the Anti-Defamation League,&#8221; Tampa Bay Times reported. <a href="https://apnews.com/article/arizona-florida-washington-gender-identity-conspiracy-1952b35f4817342779ba387c33faa9a1">AP</a> reported, “Investigators said [members of the group] left or attempted to leave Swastika-laden posters with messages like &#8216;You have been visited by your local Nazis&#8217; at the homes of journalists in Florida, Arizona and Washington state.”
A virtual court hearing was held on Wednesday and Parker-Dipeppe&#8217;s attorney, Peter Mazzone, made the case that his defendant had a difficult childhood.

<blockquote>Parker-Dipeppe’s attorney, Peter Mazzone, said prison would be devastating for his client, who suffered abuse from a father who would not accept him as a boy, from an alcoholic stepfather who brutalized him, and from school bullies who tormented him.
&#8220;This led him to just seek acceptance, and unfortunately he found it from these knuckleheads,&#8221; Mazzone said, referring to the group of about 10 boys, mostly 15 and 16 years old, who made up the Florida Atomwaffen cell.
Parker-Dipeppe confessed his involvement in Atomwaffen to his mother soon after delivering the poster, afraid that the group would learn that he was transgender. She persuaded him to tell [one of the members] the truth. He did, was immediately kicked out of Atomwaffen, and still fears retaliation, his attorney said.
While out, he has made great progress in therapy, obtained a job, and married a supportive woman, Mazzone said.</blockquote>
When the defendant was a young teen, Parker-Dipeppe&#8217;s high school reportedly eventually paid $50,000 to settle a lawsuit brought after it did not protect Parker-Dipeppe from relentless bullying, according to AP reporting.
At a virtual court hearing on Wednesday, U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour sentenced Parker-Dipeppe to time served, setting the defendant free after Parker-Dipeppe reportedly tearfully apologized.
AP reported, “[Judge] Coughenour said he struggled with his decision because he was mindful of the fear and suffering such harassment can instill. But he added: &#8216;None of us have suffered the difficult situation this defendant has endured as a result of his gender identity confusion. &#8230; Enough’s enough.’”
<a href="https://www.adl.org/resources/backgrounders/atomwaffen-division-awd-national-socialist-order-nso">The Anti-Defamation League</a> describes the Atomwaffen Division as “a small neo-Nazi group whose members are preparing for a race war to combat what they consider the cultural and racial displacement of the white race.” The group &#8220;is made up of online groups and small, localized cells, spreads their hateful propaganda via the internet and by distributing provocative fliers, posters, and stickers.” The members &#8220;meet and organize online&#8221; but also &#8220;participate in &#8216;hate camps,&#8217; organized hiking excursions and military-style training exercises across the country.&#8221; The members and associates of the group &#8220;have been linked to violent crimes including murder and alleged plots to attack civilians, nuclear facilities and synagogues.&#8221;
Over a dozen people connected to Atomwaffen or an offshoot called Feuerkrieg Division have been charged with crimes in federal court since the group was formed in 2016, according to AP. Atomwaffen has also been connected with multiple killings, &#8220;including the May 2017 shooting deaths of two men at an apartment in Tampa, Florida, and the January 2018 killing of a University of Pennsylvania student in California,&#8221; per the outlet.

On Tuesday, the Anti-Defamation League of Los Angeles posted to its website a letter the organization sent to L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón expressing concern over his new set of special directives.
The <a href="https://la.adl.org/adl-letter-to-da/">letter</a> is dated Dec. 9, two days after L.A.’s top prosecutor took the oath of office and immediately put his <a href="https://twitter.com/GeorgeGascon/status/1336050940143517701">plan</a> to “transform the largest criminal justice jurisdiction in America” into action. He announced an end to cash bail, said he would stop trying juveniles as adults, and eliminate sentencing enhancements, including those for hate crimes.

Jeffrey I. Abrams, the regional director for ADL of L.A., wrote that the organization was “concerned to hear about the new directive.” He explained, “hate violence has a uniquely serious impact” on Jewish people.
“We seek clarification as to whether your new directive includes hate crime penalty enhancements, a vital tool for both law enforcement and society to redress a unique type of wrongful conduct,” he wrote.
Gascón has been under fire since issuing the special directives last week, and on Wednesday, condemned what he called “fear-mongering” from critics, old and new. He <a href="https://www.dailybreeze.com/2020/12/16/facing-criticism-new-l-a-county-district-attorney-insists-defendants-prosecuted-will-face-accountability/">insisted</a> that people who commit a crime “are going to face accountability” if there is admissible evidence to move forward with a case.
“And that accountability will be proportionate to the crime, and enhancements do not have anything to do with accountability,” D.A. Gascón said.
In the ADL&#8217;s letter to Gascón, Abrams wrote, “it is entirely appropriate to acknowledge that this form of criminal conduct merits more substantial punishment,” and [emphasis in original]:
<blockquote>As you will no doubt agree, every American has a stake in effective responses to violent bigotry. These crimes demand priority attention because of their special impact. Bias crimes are intended to intimidate the victim and member of the victim’s community, leaving them feeling fearful, isolated, and vulnerable. Failure to address this unique type of crime often causes an isolated incident to explode into widespread community tension. The damage done by hate crimes, therefore, cannot be measured solely in terms of physical injury or dollars and cents. By making members of targeted communities fearful, angry and suspicious of other groups – and of the power structure that is supposed to protect them – these incidents can damage the fabric of our society and fragment communities.
We recognize that for some hate crimes, it may make sense to consider alternative sentencing, particularly for first-time non-violent offenders. The problem of mass incarceration is serious, particularly in its disproportionate impact on marginalized communities, and we understand why you feel compelled to address it. At the same time, we are concerned that eliminating hate crime enhancements in all cases could send the wrong message, causing further fractures in our community. We believe, in this context, a blanket approach is not the wisest.</blockquote>
The letter ends with a request to meet “as soon as possible” to “open dialogue” with Gascón’s office.
Mr. Abrams told The Daily Wire on Wednesday evening that he had received confirmation of receipt of the letter, but no further response has been received.
“We are eager to meet with District Attorney Gascon and share with him our views as the oldest anti-hate organization in the U.S.,” he said.
