Americans may be shocked by Zohran Mamdani’s radical politics. But the communist upstart’s views wouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with his father.
Mahmood Mamdani, a professor at Columbia University, claimed on a panel at the Jaipur Literature Festival in New York in 2022 that Hitler was inspired by Abraham Lincoln, that the antisemitic Nuremberg laws were patterned after American laws, and that “the Nazi political project was shared by the allies.”
The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFATiIOE0bM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">discussion</a> centered around the release of his book, “Neither Settler Nor Native: The Making And Unmaking Of Permanent Minorities,” which “explores the nature of the nation-state, and the path to a reimagined, decolonized future.”
Mahmood Mamdani began by saying that “America is the genesis of what we call settler-colonialism” around the world. He goes on to say that Adolf Hitler got the idea of the Holocaust from President Abraham Lincoln:
“With the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln generalized the solution of reservations, they herded American Indians into separate territories. For the Nazis, this was the inspiration — Hitler realized two things: one, that genocide is doable. It is possible to do genocide, that’s what Hitler realized. Second thing Hitler realized is that you don’t have to have a common citizenship.”
Mahmood Mamdani also said that Nazi Germany’s racist and antisemitic <a href="https://www.nationalww2museum.org/war/articles/nuremberg-laws" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nuremberg Laws</a> were “patterned after American laws.”
Moreover, “The Nazi political project was shared by the Allies, and that political project was to turn Germany into a ‘pure’ nation.”
“When the Allies defeated the Nazis and went into Eastern Europe, they began to create ‘pure’ nations. To ethnically cleanse Eastern Europe of Germans — move them back into Germany. One crime doesn’t wipe out another.”
Mahmood Mamdani’s book reveals a blatantly Marxist philosophy: “There are two kinds of identities, there is the identity of the oppressor and the identity of the oppressed,” he said.
He argues that “The nation state is what prevents us from living together.” This is because “The majority precedes democracy.” The tension between citizen and subject, or majority and minority, is an inherent consequence of colonialism:
“I argue that nationalism and colonialism are not two different things. We normally think of two kinds of nationalism, good nationalism and bad nationalism. Good nationalism brought us together and bad nationalism targeted other minorities. The important thing to realize is that these two things happen at the same time, they are two sides of the same coin,” he stated.
In order to eliminate oppression, Mamdani argues that we need to <a href="https://novaramedia.com/2025/07/03/if-you-like-zohran-mamdani-youre-going-to-love-his-dad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dismantle</a> “colonialist architecture,” stating that “the tribes must take charge and the tribes must be sovereign.”
In an interview with the <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/26/nyregion/zohran-mamdani-parents-mira-nair.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Times</a>, the elder Mamdani stressed that Zohran is “his own person.”
“Now, of course what we do as his parents is part of the environment in which he grew up, and he couldn’t help but engage with it. That doesn’t mean anything is reflected back on us.”
Zohran’s mother, the director Amrit Nair, disagreed: “Of course the world we live in, and what we write and film and think about, is the world that Zohran has very much absorbed.”
Zohran Mamdani self-identifies as a democratic socialist and has espoused numerous radical socialist policies, including <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/02/realestate/mamdani-rent-freeze-real-estate.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">freezing the rent</a> on a million apartments, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/28/nyregion/mamdani-policies-economy-housing-buses-childcare.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raising the minimum wage</a> to 30$ by 2030, making child care and the bus system free, replacing police with teams of <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a7ejjSZWWIAcxfcWnkYaqvnjihTb0LAOQkj8g10-npg/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.2gazcsgmxkub" target="_blank" rel="noopener">mental health professionals</a>, and establishing city-run grocery stores.

Earlier this month, we celebrated the 80th anniversary of V-E Day, “Victory in Europe,” which marked the end of the European Theater’s part in the Second World War. It is a date certainly worth commemorating as it closed one of the darkest chapters in European history, which was the rise and fall of Hitler’s Third Reich.
For the countries in what today we call Western Europe that languished for years under the jackboot of Nazi oppression — France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Norway, Greece — the Allied victory truly represented liberation.

But there was another side to V-E Day that seems to get glossed over. And that is the less happy fate of the Eastern European nations who were not liberated by the Anglo-Americans rolling in from the west, but rather the Red Army coming in from the east. And for those nations — Poland, Hungary, then-Czechoslovakia, the Baltic states — V-E Day merely meant trading one brutal oppressor for another. Indeed, as the Allies were closing in from both sides, the dark joke in Germany was “Optimists are learning English, pessimists are learning Russian.”
We have been conditioned for over 80 years to viscerally recoil at the very mention of the Führer’s name. Just say “Hitler” and the mind conjures up images of the Holocaust and mass murder of millions of innocents carried out by robotic, goose-stepping stormtroopers wearing their signature coal scuttle helmets.
Yet, when we utter the name “Stalin,” no such dark imagery materializes in the collective mind. And yet, in terms of pure numbers, it can be argued that the Soviet “Man of Steel” had more blood on his hands than even Hitler. Why the indifferent reaction?
It could perhaps be attributed to a curious media/academic tendency of apologetics towards communism. As polls consistently show, both of these institutions lean very much to the left. And Stalinism is the ultimate expression of their collective leftist ideology come to fruition in all its destructive inevitability. During the 1930s, for example, dispatches from Moscow-based New York Times correspondent Walter Duranty were shamefully obsequious towards Stalin, offering up for his readers images of a prosperous, happy communist USSR workers’ paradise.
No matter that the Soviet dictator was coldly stripping Ukraine of food and inducing a famine in 1932-1933 (called the “Holodomor”) during which anywhere from 3.5 to 5 million Ukrainians died of starvation — atrocities Duranty labeled as a “big scare” and “exaggeration.”
Then there was Stalin’s 1929-1933 genocide against the Kulaks (wealthy peasants who resisted his policies) to facilitate the expropriation of farmland. In one directive, the Soviet leader declared, “We must smash the Kulaks, liquidate them as a class.” Millions died.
And what of the estimated 700,000 to 6 million who died in Stalin’s Gulag, the far-flung network of concentration camps where he sent his enemies, whom the hyper-paranoid dictator saw all around him. (Figures vary widely; the latter number comes from dissident Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, who was imprisoned for eight years.)
Starting in 1936, Stalin wiped out his political and military adversaries in a series of show trials called “The Great Purge.” Stalin’s biographer Oleg V. Khlevniuk estimates that 1.6 million were arrested, with 700,000 shot; no one knows how many died of torture.

During the Second World War on the Eastern Front, Stalin was so profligate with the lives of his people that by the time the red banner of the USSR was flying over the Reichstag in the conquered Berlin, some 27 million Soviets lay dead. Many as a result of combat and German atrocities, of course, but also due to Stalin’s unimaginative strategies that callously offered up both his soldiers and civilians before the guns of the Wehrmacht as fodder.
Whereas Hitler’s policies were driven by twisted racial hatred, delusions of grandeur, a sense of grievance on behalf of a nation he felt was ill-treated at Versailles, and, by the end, drug-addled bona fide madness, Stalin in some ways is even more disturbing as there was a cold, calculating, and ruthless nature to his machinations.
Stalin will also go down as one of the most treacherous characters in history. It should be remembered that until Hitler turned on him and attacked Russia in June 1941, Stalin and the German dictator were allies. Hitler only felt secure enough to invade Poland and trigger the Second World War because Berlin and Moscow had just entered into a non-aggression pact the month before. In fact, people often forget that in September 1939, Poland was not just invaded by the Wehrmacht but also by the Red Army. After which, Stalin’s NKVD promptly rounded up 22,000 members of Poland’s military and intelligentsia, marched them to the Katyn Forest, and shot them all dead.

Says historian Victor Davis Hanson: “Of the six major belligerents of World War II, on the Axis side, Italy, Japan, and Germany, and the United States, Russia, and Britain, Stalin made a deal with every one of them at one time or another, and he honored the ones with the Axis better than he did us.”
But, unlike Hitler, Stalin’s image during the war was softened by the Roosevelt administration and pliant media due to the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. FDR, especially, was hopelessly naïve about the duplicitous nature of the man whose military he was now supplying through Lend-Lease. As far as he saw it, the Russians were now our allies after all. And, frankly, we needed the Red Army to kill as many Germans as possible before we invaded France. The mass murderer of Moscow was thus re-christened “Uncle Joe” Stalin. And as it was his Red Army more than any other that destroyed the Wehrmacht, what he did to his own people and those in Eastern Europe were swept under the rug until the Cold War commenced in the late 1940s. After all, as the saying goes, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

80 years after the war in Europe ended, modern Germany is still horrified by, and ashamed of, their Nazi past. But to this day, even in a post-Cold War Russia in which information regarding the horrific crimes carried out by the Bolsheviks is now widely accessible, Stalin is revered by the Russian people. A 2021 poll by the Levada Center found that 70% of Russians held a mostly or very favorable view of Stalin.
And that same lack of revulsion over Stalin’s decades-long reign of terror carries over into the West today as a misguided affinity for Marxism slithers its insidious way through the halls of so-called higher education. A poll by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation found that millennials, particularly younger ones, displayed a dreadful ignorance of communism and even support for it. Almost half of Americans between the ages of 16 and 20 “said they would vote for a socialist, while 21% would go so far as to back a Communist.” Even more shocking was that a “third of millennials say they believe more people were killed under George W. Bush than Joseph Stalin.” This is criminal negligence on the part of academia — and dangerous.
I have a shirt that reads “Communism killed 100 million people and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.” Though gallows humor, the message is also a searing indictment of a left-leaning academic and media establishment that are utterly dismissive of the crimes perpetrated by the founding fathers of their own defunct and cruel ideologies. The verdict of history should have condemned Soviet communism to the ashbin of history decades ago. But a fatal attraction for this defunct ideology that invariably leads to mass murder is alive and well in the West today. This is a tragedy — and dangerous.

Larry David can’t stand the fact that Bill Maher didn’t hate Donald Trump after they had dinner together.
The 77-year-old “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator wrote an opinion piece attacking Maher for being open-minded, repeating the tired trope throughout the piece that Trump is Hitler.
The satirical <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/21/opinion/larry-david-hitler-dinner.html">essay</a> based on Maher’s remarks, titled “My Dinner With Adolf,” was published by The New York Times on Monday. 
“I had been a vocal critic of his on the radio from the beginning, pretty much predicting everything he was going to do on the road to dictatorship,” David wrote, pretending to tell the story from Maher’s perspective. “But eventually I concluded that hate gets us nowhere. I knew I couldn’t change his views, but we need to talk to the other side.”
David went on, “I joked that I was surprised to see him in a tan suit because if he wore that out, it would be perceived as un-Führer-like. That amused him to no end, and I realized I’d never seen him laugh before. Suddenly he seemed so human. Here I was, prepared to meet Hitler, the one I’d seen and heard — the public Hitler. But this private Hitler was a completely different animal. And oddly enough, this one seemed more authentic, like this was the real Hitler. The whole thing had my head spinning.”
“‘I must say, mein Führer, I’m so thankful I came. Although we disagree on many issues, it doesn’t mean that we have to hate each other.’ And with that, I gave him a Nazi salute and walked out into the night,” David’s essay says.
Maher, who has been openly critical of Trump, had a private dinner with the president earlier this month. He later admitted to enjoying himself and feeling better about the president on his <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxlopbcfXpQ">show</a>, &#8220;Real Time with Bill Maher.&#8221;
“And I know as I say that, millions of liberal sphincters just tightened. ‘Oh, my God, Bill, you gonna say something nice about him?’ What I’m gonna do is report exactly what happened. You decide what you think about it, and if that’s not enough pure Trump hate for you, I don’t give a f***,” Maher said of the meeting. 
“I don’t remember exactly what we were talking about, but it must have been something with the 2020 election because I know he used the word ‘lost,’ and I distinctly remember saying, ‘Wow, I never thought I’d hear you say that,’” Maher added. “He didn’t get mad. He’s much more self-aware than he lets on in public.”
“Everything I’ve ever not liked about him was — I swear to God — absent, at least on this night with this guy,” the “Real Time” host said. “He mostly steered the conversation to, ‘What do you think about this?’ I know: your mind is blown. So is mine.”
“A crazy person doesn’t live in the White House,” he added. “A person who plays a crazy person on TV a lot lives there, which I know is f***ed up. It’s just not as f***ed up as I thought it was.”

&#8220;He has since repeatedly and forcefully supported Israel’s right to defend itself against genocidal terrorists and regimes who seek to annihilate the one and only Jewish state,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I thank him for this.&#8221;
Even the left-wing Anti-Defamation League (ADL) defended Musk over the accusations.
&#8220;It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge,&#8221; they said. &#8220;In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.&#8221;

Sunny Hostin, a far-left co-host of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View,&#8221; slammed the co-hosts of MSNBC&#8217;s &#8220;Morning Joe&#8221; for going to Mar-a-Lago to try to curry favor with President-elect Donald Trump.
&#8220;Morning Joe&#8221; co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski said during Monday morning’s show that they met with Trump over the weekend “to restart communications.”
It was the first time that they had spoken to him in seven years after they have repeatedly attacked him, including comparing him to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
The show has been so rabidly hostile to Trump that MSNBC pulled it off the air the day after Trump was shot because the network was reportedly worried about what might be said on air.
&#8220;The bottom line is that America needs a free press that is willing to speak truth to power right now more than ever,&#8221; Hostin claimed. &#8220;And I think that we have to be very clear eyed when we think about the president-elect and cover the president-elect.&#8221;
&#8220;And I don&#8217;t think you need to sit down for 90 minutes at Mar-a-Lago and kiss his ring to be able to speak truth and to be able to cover a story,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;So maybe they&#8217;re not journalists in the true sense.&#8221;
Hostin claimed Trump was &#8220;the guy who ushered in the era of fake news.&#8221;
&#8220;He is the guy who ushered in alternative facts,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;He is the guy who attacked three black female journalists. He&#8217;s the guy that revoked Jim Acosta&#8217;s press credentials for asking him a question. And so I think that this president-elect, I hate to say it would like nothing more than to have only Fox News cover him. Would like nothing more than a state-sponsored media.&#8221;
She concluded by claiming that Trump could not &#8220;be trusted in the way that other presidents can be trusted.&#8221;

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) said in an interview over the weekend that he believes President-elect Donald Trump is another dictator like Adolf Hitler or Benito Mussolini.
Clyburn made the remarks during a Saturday interview with Neil Cavuto on Fox News&#8217; &#8220;Cavuto Live&#8221; while talking about the country&#8217;s shift to the political Right in this month&#8217;s elections.
&#8220;We go from left to right in this country,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We go from right back left in this country. And I always say, well whether the pendulum is going from left to right or right to left, it always passes through the middle.&#8221;
&#8220;Now, the country has gone lurching back to the right,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I hope it’s not going as far right as that which happened in Germany in the 1930s. But you may remember I forewarned way back in 2018 that I saw this coming. I’ve studied history all of my life.&#8221;
Cavuto pushed back, asking if he was saying that he is &#8220;envisioning another Hitler.&#8221;
&#8220;That’s exactly what I’m saying,&#8221; Clyburn said. &#8220;I said the 1930s in Germany. And of course, we go to Mussolini in Italy.&#8221;
Clyburn added that he was not being hyperbolic by making the comparison.

Popular radio host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/charlamagne-tha-god" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlamagne tha God</a> weighed in on President Joe Biden&#8217;s cordial meeting with President-elect Donald Trump at the White House on Wednesday, and he admitted to having a hard time wrapping his head around how that all went down.
During his Thursday morning broadcast, he recalled how Biden — along with the rest of his party and a whole host of media talking heads — had been referring to Trump as a &#8220;fascist&#8221; or suggesting that he was the second coming of Adolf Hitler just days earlier. What he didn&#8217;t understand, he said, was how Biden had pivoted so easily from calling Trump an &#8220;existential threat&#8221; to inviting him into the White House for a pleasant conversation.

Charlamagne went on to say that he understood Biden held himself up as an advocate for certain political &#8220;norms,&#8221; but still couldn&#8217;t quite make it all make sense in his mind.
By the end of the segment, he appeared to give up entirely, saying, &#8220;I&#8217;m gonna stop minding white people&#8217;s business.&#8221;
The popular host had broached the subject earlier, asking last Friday why prominent members of the Democratic Party had suddenly stopped referring to Trump as a &#8220;threat to democracy.&#8221;
&#8220;Don’t y’all find it strange that now that he’s won, they’re not calling him a threat to democracy? They’re not calling him a fascist. I mean, damn, on Monday, they was just calling him that. WASHINGTON, D.C.—As Vice President Kamala Harris made a final electoral appeal to the nation, her supporters doubled down on extreme rhetoric, calling former President Donald Trump and his supporters Nazis and fascists.
“If he wins in November it will be the birth of the American Nazi Party with him at the top of it,” Bill Wood told The Daily Wire outside Harris&#8217;s Tuesday <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-calls-trump-a-petty-tyrant-in-closing-speech-as-far-left-protests-rage">speech</a> at the Ellipse. &#8220;He&#8217;s going to take anybody who disagrees with him and put them in jail, and from there, he&#8217;s going to deport them out of the United States altogether.”
“Trump is nothing but a dictator, he wants to subvert our democracy,” said Marc Petitpierre, who traveled to the rally from West Virginia. “He’s a damn Nazi! He’s a fascist! “I think he wants to basically turn this into a white Christian nation, which it is not,” another attendee said of Trump’s motives, before saying that she isn’t concerned that the heated rhetoric could inspire more violence against the former president.
“I think it is a totally reasonable assumption,” she said of claims that Trump is a Nazi. “I mean, Elon Musk is wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat in the Nazi font,” she continued, referring to Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden. “That was definitely the vibe there, it was frightening and disgusting.”
“I hope he goes to prison. I think he should go to prison,” she added. “I think he’s a full fascist authoritarian.”
One man said that both Trump and his supporters were Nazis.
“You committed treason, and we hate your ever f***ing guts,” he said of people who vote for Trump, adding that the Republican presidential contender “wants to destroy all life on earth.”
“They don&#8217;t get to be the Nazis on our street. They don&#8217;t get to turn our police into, you know, they&#8217;re Gestapo. F*** them,” the man said. “If they want to bring on the violence, America, we&#8217;ll kick their ass.”
When asked what his final message would be, he remarked “love wins in the end.”
During her speech, Harris called Trump a “petty tyrant” and a “wannabe dictator,&#8221; and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-calls-trump-a-petty-tyrant-in-closing-speech-as-far-left-protests-rage">compared</a> her opponent to King George III. Shortly after Trump narrowly escaped death at the hands of a would-be assassin in Butler, Pennsylvania in July, President Joe Biden urged Americans to &#8220;<a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/hey-remember-lowering-the-temperature-in-our-politics/">lower the temperature</a>&#8221; in politics.

When pressed by one of the hosts about comments she made in her memoir “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/melania-trump-offers-glimpse-into-new-memoir-says-its-time-to-clarify-the-facts">Melania</a>” regarding being stabbed in the back the last time she was in the White House, the former first lady said it was important for people to hear her story, because there was “a lot of misinformation” and “mistruths.”
The former first lady also talked about the support Trump’s been getting and said the energy felt like 2016. However, she admitted, this time around, things are “much more dangerous” following two attempted assassination attempts on her husband.
“I’m very vigilant and very selective were I go, what do I do,” Melania said. “Because you never know. It’s one person. It’s dangerous out there. “
During an interview on Tuesday with <a href="https://x.com/WISN12News/status/1851369310121287804?_nlid=AgV66W9RUZ&amp;_nhids=pLzmHBvOB9">WISN-TV</a>, Kamala Harris was asked about her running mate Minnesota Gov. As you’ve probably heard by now, Donald Trump held a Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Sure, it wasn’t a Nazi rally by name. He didn’t call it a Nazi rally. There wasn’t any Nazi paraphernalia or Nazi flags or swastikas. There wasn’t anything Nazi related at all. But he did hold his rally in a venue where Nazis held a rally back in 1939. Is that a coincidence? The Nazis rallied at Madison Square Garden and then suddenly, practically the very next day — or, like, 31 thousand days later, give or take, but who’s counting — Donald Trump and his MAGA minions are gathering at the exact same spot. What other conclusion can we draw here? 
If Nazis were in a certain venue and then 85 years later other people are in the same venue, are we not forced to conclude that the second group of people must also be Nazis? Is it conceivable that two different groups, separated by nearly a century, could gather in the same building for different reasons? No, it is not conceivable. It is, in fact, impossible.
That’s the math that the media and the Kamala Harris campaign are doing. Here was Tim Walz sending up the warning flag before the rally:

A direct parallel, he says. What is the parallel? Well, how much more explicit can it be? There were Nazis in that building 85 years ago. Then on Sunday other people were in the building. The Nazi building. What would they be doing there, except Nazi stuff?
This is the point that many high profile Democrats made. Hillary Clinton denounced the rally as a Nazi gathering. 
As she put it, Trump is “reenacting” the Nazi rally:

No, we can’t ignore it. She’s right.

There you have it. If you aren’t convinced, you can read the Washington Post column <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/10/28/trump-rally-madison-square-garden/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">published on Monday</a> with this headline: “Another night at the Garden: How Trump’s rally echoed one in 1939.” You should read the piece, but in case you don’t have time: it echoed the Nazi rally because it was in the same place as a Nazi rally. That’s the whole argument. And what other argument needs to be made? It’s utterly decisive.
Meanwhile, Mika Brzezinski appeared as a guest on &#8220;The View&#8221; on Monday, where she nearly brought the collective IQ at the table to room temperature level. It was slightly above room temperature before she got there. Mika warned that we are in the “final hours” and must do everything we can to stop the man who holds “Nazi-type rallies”:

Now you might ask: isn’t Madison Square Garden a major venue where lots of events are held every week? Yes, and that should tell you the scope of this problem. In fact, I went on Ticketmaster this morning and saw that there is a Cyndi Lauper concert — the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” tour — happening at Madison Square Garden this week. This is tragic for her fans, but the conclusion is inescapable: Cyndi Lauper is a Nazi. Girls just wanna be Nazis, apparently. Duran Duran is holding a Nazi rally the very next day at MSG. Nazism is absolutely rife in the 80s music scene. 90s bands aren’t much better. As you can see if you check the events schedule, Dave Matthews Band and Creed are having their own Nazi rallies at Madison Square Garden in November. I’m not surprised about Creed, frankly, but I’m very disappointed in Dave Matthews.
Here’s an interesting and disturbing note: The New York Knicks are having 41 Nazi rallies at Madison Square Garden in the next few months. Nazism is alive and well among NBA players, just as we always suspected.

This is the way it works now. Every large gathering of people is a Nazi rally if it happens at a place where there was once a large gathering of Nazis. Of course, needless to say, this doesn’t count the 1992 DNC held at Madison Square Garden, or the Ralph Nader Green Party rally in 2000. There are exceptions to every rule. Let’s not dwell on those. Let’s just get back to the main point, which is that Donald Trump is literally a Nazi.
Maybe you aren’t convinced yet. Maybe, in your wild imagination, you have concocted fanciful hypothetical scenarios where Trump held a rally in Madison Square Garden because it’s a really big arena that fits lots of people, and not because Nazi sympathizers gathered there eight and a half decades ago. I find that sort of speculation to be ludicrous, but fine. Then how do you explain the other parallels between Trump and Hitler?
Consider this. Donald Trump, as you may have noticed, almost always wears suits. It seems kind of odd. In an era where most politicians are dressing more casually, Trump insists on the suit. Sort of a strange quirk. It doesn’t really make sense. Until you connect the dots.

The parallels run even deeper. Recall that infamous photo of Trump eating a taco salad on Cinco De Mayo. That was traumatizing already just for the cultural appropriation alone. Not to mention the fact that he didn’t even have guacamole on his taco salad, which is a totally bizarre and inexplicable choice. 
Instead, think about how he was eating the salad. He was sitting in a chair at a table. Again: that seems strange. You think to yourself: why is he eating at a table? Why a table, of all things? Well, it turns out that someone else was also photographed eating dinner at a table:

Have you seen enough yet? How many coincidences do you need? Hitler sat at a table. Trump sat at a table. Hitler wore a suit. Trump wore a suit. People who liked Hitler went to Madison Square Garden once. Trump went to Madison Square Garden. The conclusion follows with mathematical certainty: Trump is a Nazi. Cyndi Lauper is a Nazi. The Knicks are Nazis. The dots all connect. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

I think I’ve proven the case beyond any reasonable doubt at this point. But I do want to address the most outlandish rebuttal from the Nazi sympathizers. They will sometimes point out that Trump was actually already president. He was in office for an entire term. If he’s a fascist dictator, then we should be able to look and see that he did a whole bunch of fascist dictator stuff while in office. But, as these naysayers point out, he didn’t. In fact, Trump was the first president in decades to refrain from starting any new wars or invading any new countries. 
Trump did not use his presidential powers to install himself as a dictator for life. He did not end democracy. He did not take any steps to make himself into the autocratic ruler of the country. In fact, Trump signed fewer executive orders than Obama, Bush, and Clinton. If you’re judging Trump by how he actually governed, you are forced to conclude that he was the least power hungry president in the past 100 years. He was remarkably restrained, if anything. At least that’s how the argument goes.
I find it deeply unconvincing. Just because Trump didn’t do something in the past, that doesn’t mean he won’t do it in the future. Indeed, the fact that he didn’t do it in the past only means that he will do it in the future. Think about it. As an analogy, Trump was the burglar casing the house before he makes his move. Just because the burglar drives away without stealing anything, doesn’t mean that he won’t in the future. Of course, in this case, the burglar was actually in the house, for four years, and didn’t do anything. Actually if a burglar is in your house for four years and doesn’t steal anything then it’s really good evidence that he’s not a burglar. So that analogy isn’t helpful. But forget about that. 
The point is that this is all part of Donald Trump’s plan. He refrained from anointing himself Supreme Ruler during his first term, only so that we would be lulled into a false sense of security. He is like a snake, coiled up and waiting to strike. He is a Hitler who didn’t govern like Hitler, so that later he could govern like Hitler. It’s all part of the plan, part of the spell that he casts. And you know who else casts spells? Well, that’s Voldemort actually. But also Hitler. Think about it.

On the eve of Operation Barbarossa, Adolf Hitler’s long-desired invasion of the Soviet Union, the German high command issued a chilling edict to the Axis armies waiting for their marching orders, setting the tone for one of the most horrific and prolonged episodes of mass barbarity ever recorded. 
“This will be a war of annihilation,” said the German Army chief of staff, General Franz Halder, relaying the wishes of his Führer. “Commanders must make the sacrifice of overcoming their personal scruples.” 
Beyond the scope of Hitler’s four million-man operation spanning a front line some 1,200 miles from Finland to the Black Sea, it was the viciousness, indeed the racial hatred, that underpinned the assault on the detested Slavs, Bolsheviks, and, of course, Jews, that made this crime and others of Hitler and his Nazi hordes so unique in the annals of warfare. 
Barbarossa was the ultimate expression of Hitler&#8217;s megalomaniacal zeal to eradicate tens of millions of those whom he considered unworthy of sharing the same continent with his master race. The orgy of mass murder his loyal soldiers inflicted upon the people of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic States was the equivalent of over six 9/11s each day, every day, for over 1,400 days. The 27 million dead would be added to the tally of millions more murdered Poles, Greeks, French, Dutch, Belgian, Danes, British and British Commonwealthers, Americans, Norwegians, Czechs, Yugoslavs, and others, to the point where Adolf Hitler, in his hate-filled descent into bona fide madness, could claim direct responsibility for the deaths of over 36 million people. This does not even include Axis dead.
This is the man to whom a desperate Democrat Party is once again shamelessly trying to link their GOP opponent, Donald Trump. Such lack of shame in making so ludicrous an analogy actually beggars the mind. More so when you consider how many Americans on the left blindly accept this comparison as even remotely valid. As such, although not surprisingly, Trump has been the target of three assassination attempts due to such demonization. After all, when you draw a nexus between him and the architect of Barbarossa, The Holocaust, and other atrocities, it is easy to see how not just the mentally unstable, but even many otherwise normal Americans fearing for their nation&#8217;s future can want the man dead. In fact, <a href="https://www.christianpost.com/news/one-third-of-democrats-wish-trumps-assassin-didnt-miss-poll.html">almost one-third</a> of Democrats surveyed expressed disappointment that Trump was not felled by the bullet that took the life of an innocent father of two. That is self-evidently disturbing.
But who is Donald Trump really, when you strip away the bizarre, visceral hatred for the man? As it turns out, he was a politician who was already President for 1,447 days. And the nation survived with its bedrock civil liberties well intact while the world was at relative peace. This was a man who firmly supported the Jewish state of Israel, and was, in fact, the only President in my adult lifetime to refrain from starting yet another ill-conceived war.
Indeed, the only atrocities I ever saw him commit while in office were his hairdo, fast food diet, and sometimes undisciplined tongue. And, yes, he should have been more forceful in his words to try and stem a four-hour riot on Capitol Hill.

With that said, I have often wondered if those who somehow compare Donald Trump (or anyone really) to Hitler have ever even heard of such nightmarish places as Auschwitz, Treblinka, Belsen, Sobibor, or Dachau. And these infamous death factories, run with the Nazis’ knack for dispassionate efficiency, are just a handful of the <a href="https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/how-many-concentration-camps">over 6,000</a> concentration camps set up throughout Germany and the conquered territories from 1933-1945. And the millions of innocents murdered in these grisly places do not even include the inhumane POW camps into which millions of Red Army prisoners were dumped and condemned to die of starvation, summary execution, torture, and disease.
As just one example of the atrocities about which I’ll guarantee you the “Trump is Hitler” crew are unaware, consider Babi Yar. In September 1941 as the Wehrmacht moved through the Ukraine, Hitler’s roving SS assassins called the <a href="https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/einsatzgruppen" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Einsatzgruppen</a>, along with elements of the regular German Sixth Army, sent out an order that all Jews in Kyiv were to report for relocation. They were instructed to bring ID, money, and warm clothing. The unsuspecting Ukrainian Jews were ignorant of the Nazis’ rabid anti-Semitism; until the invasion, Stalin had forbidden negative press re: Germany as part of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Non-Aggression Pact. Some 33,000 showed up and were subsequently ushered to the ravine of Babi Yar. Hitler’s executioners then systematically massacred them all…men, women, children, the latter of whom were often lined up and shot three at a time with one round to save ammunition. It has been said that before there was “Shoah by gas&#8221;, there was &#8220;Shoah by bullets.” And the Nazis were just getting started. Not only was Hitler fully aware of this and countless other atrocities in his name, he enthusiastically encouraged them.
As for the broader Ukraine, Hitler and his Nazi henchmen vowed to strip “Europe’s breadbasket” of its grain harvest which would be spirited away to the Reich. In what they unashamedly labeled “der Hungerplan,” Hitler gleefully expected that his edict would condemn some 30 million to die of slow starvation. The very well-fed Hermann Göring, echoing his Fuhrer’s sentiments, boasted that the population would have to “eat Cossack saddles!” 
Those allowed to live and work the land at the behest of their German overlords would be relegated to slaves, modern helots. It is not difficult to see where Tolkien’s inspiration for his “Lord Of The Rings” series — featuring Sauron’s malice, lust for power, conquest, and drive to inflict suffering upon the people of Middle Earth — originated.
Like many of us in the post-war world, I’d grown up knowing about Hitler and his crimes. But it was not until I began researching my <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Another-Time-Place-Brad-Schaeffer/dp/1682616630">first book</a> that I came to understand just how close to pure evil this man was. Indeed, for Europe, Hitler’s ascent to power, and the unfathomable suffering and devastation he unleashed upon the continent in his six-year rampage of gore, was, quite simply, the worst thing to happen since the Black Death.
Yet, now we must endure the latest round of “Trump is Hitler” from the Left that will try any and every approach to save Kamala Harris’ sinking campaign.
Do such dubious equivalences stem from ignorance? Is it desperation? I don’t know. But I do know this: The more the “H” word is casually bantered about as the go-to analogy for anyone the Left finds disagreeable, the less the actual crimes of Hitler himself are properly remembered. Like his morally anesthetized soldiers, we become inured to them. And that is dangerous. Because, as Mark Steyn said, “When everybody’s Hitler, nobody’s Hitler.” How, then, will we know if a true successor to the man the historian Hugh Trevor-Roper referred to as “the coarsest, cruelest, least magnanimous conqueror the world has ever known” is among us?
That a president should choose to use his Constitutionally granted authority to secure the border and sit across the table from bad actors who command nuclear arsenals, so as to prevent a Third World War (from which humanity would never recover), while placing U.S. interests above those of the other 192 nations, does not make him the new Führer.
To compare Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler only serves to shamelessly insult and belittle the memory of the Nazis’ tens of millions of victims. This is a truly grotesque tactic deployed at the eleventh hour to score cheap political points to salvage a campaign that is rapidly sinking under the weight of its own candidate’s incompetence, mendacity, and astounding vacuousness. When this campaign is over, no matter who wins, the Democrats will owe not just Trump, but Hitler&#8217;s victims, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/auschwitz-survivor-blasts-kamala-for-comparing-trump-to-hitler">some still living</a>, an apology.
It is time to banish the “Hitler” analogies from the political landscape once and for all. Otherwise, I fear that, given our lack of understanding of just how horrific the real Hitler was, we may not recognize his true reincarnation when we see him. And like those poor souls of Babi Yar, we won’t come to realize just how mistaken we have been until it is too late.

Two former senior advisers for Vice President Mike Pence strongly refuted General John Kelly&#8217;s claims that Donald Trump once praised Adolf Hitler&#8217;s generals during a discussion with White House officials.
An article written by The Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg quoted Kelly, Trump&#8217;s former chief of staff, who accused Trump of saying he wanted the &#8220;generals that Hitler had.&#8221; According to Kelly, who has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/john-kellys-history-of-anti-trump-activism-and-smears" target="_blank" rel="noopener">disparaged Trump</a> in the past, the former president was fond of Hitler&#8217;s generals because they &#8220;were totally loyal to him.&#8221; Kelly served as Trump&#8217;s Homeland Security Secretary for six months in 2017 before Trump tapped him to serve as his chief of staff from July 2017 until January 2019.
Kelly&#8217;s comments to The Atlantic led to Vice President Kamala Harris holding a short press conference on Wednesday where she slammed Trump, saying, &#8220;It is deeply troubling and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler.&#8221; Later on Wednesday during a town hall with CNN&#8217;s Anderson Cooper, Harris <a href="https://x.com/Acyn/status/1849256946362359929" target="_blank" rel="noopener">called</a> the Republican nominee a &#8220;fascist.&#8221;
Retired General Keith Kellogg — Pence&#8217;s former National Security Adviser — and Nick Ayers, Pence&#8217;s former chief of staff — released statements on Wednesday blasting the general&#8217;s claims.
&#8220;Vice President Harris is a fraud. I was in the White House at a senior level much longer than General Kelly. He is complicit in this fraud and has lied to the American people. His lies, as well as John Bolton&#8217;s, are a disservice to [the] Nation at this critical time. So are the VP&#8217;s,&#8221; Kellogg wrote on X.
