YouTube Suspends Account Championing Abortion Pill Reversal

   DailyWire.com

Last week, YouTube suspended an account that championed abortion pill reversal. The reason? The Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) account committed “repeated or severe violations of [the] Community Guidelines.”

So what was so offensive in the four videos posted on the account? One explained APR in scientific and medical terms; the other three simply told the stories of women who chose the method of saving their children.

YouTube cited its own policies on “harmful or dangerous content,” adding that it “doesn’t allow content that encourages or promotes violent or dangerous acts that have an inherent risk of serious physical harm or death.”

That would include videos that describe “instructional bomb making, choking games, hard drug use, or other acts where serious injury may result.”

That certainly is comparable to trying to save your child’s life.

As attorney Danielle White writes at pregnancyhelpnews.com, “The move comes mere weeks after a new study found that the Abortion Pill Reversal protocol is both safe and effective for women who change their mind after beginning a chemical abortion. The study, which followed 754 women who wanted to stop their in-progress chemical abortion, reported a 68 percent success rate in reversing the effects of mifepristone, the first pill in the two-part chemical abortion process.”

White adds,Since 2007, over 500 women have used the APR protocol to save their babies from abortion. Today, the protocol is backed by a network of 350 medical providers.”

Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International, commented, “It’s hard to understand why YouTube would treat the rescuing of babies from an abortion pill the same as terrorism videos. On closer investigation, we believe YouTube will find that these videos in no way resemble such dangerous or harmful content.”

On April 30, Heartbeat International initiated YouTube’s formal appeal process; Godsey said, “We are confident that YouTube did not intend to silence a woman who was merely telling her own abortion story, simply because that story ended with a healthy baby boy. We look forward to the account being restored quickly.”
