Will Smith shocked everyone Sunday night at the 94th Academy Awards show after he walked on stage and struck Chris Rock right in the face after Rock cracked a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith&#8217;s hair loss.
During a segment at the Oscars, the 57-year-old comedian remarked about how no one was wearing a mask in the theater before he turned his attention to Denzel Washington and praised him for his part in the movie &#8220;The Tragedy of MacBeth.&#8221; The superstar comedian then spotted Will Smith&#8217;s wife in the audience and cracked a joke about how Jada was going to be in the next &#8220;G.I. Jane&#8221; movie.
&#8220;Jada, I love ya,&#8221; Rock told the audience. &#8220;G.I. Jane 2 movie, can&#8217;t wait to see it.&#8221;
The &#8220;Red Table Talk&#8221; host rolled her eyes and appeared to be upset.
Her husband, the &#8220;King Richard&#8221; star, looked like he too did not appreciate what appeared to be a remark about his wife&#8217;s alopecia battle.
The superstar actor got up out of his seat, walked right up on stage, and struck the comedian in the face. It didn&#8217;t appear to be a planned move.

The audio on the broadcast fades out, and the next thing the audience can see is the two stars exchanging words. The clip above captured the exchange.
&#8220;Oh wow, wow. Will Smith just smacked the sh** outta me,&#8221; Rock announced to the crowd.
Will Smith mouthed the words, &#8220;Keep my wife&#8217;s name out your f***ing mouth!&#8221;
&#8220;Wow, dude,&#8221; Rock replied. &#8220;It was a G.I. Jane joke.&#8221;
Rock called it the &#8220;greatest night in the history of television,&#8221; before he tried to get the show back on track.
&#8220;Okay, we are here to give away an award for the Best Documentary Feature,&#8221; the &#8220;Down to Earth&#8221; star said.
The award was given to &#8220;Summer of Soul.&#8221; After the award was given, Sean Combs took to the stage and remarked on the obvious fight that just took place between the &#8220;Men In Black&#8221; star and the &#8220;Grown Ups&#8221; star.

&#8220;Okay, Will [Smith] and Chris [Rock], we&#8217;re going to solve that like family at the Gold Party, but right now we&#8217;re moving on with love,&#8221; he added.
Jada and the movie superstar actor Will have been married for more than twenty years. The Hollywood couple share two kids together, 23-year-old son Jaden Smith and daughter Willow.
