Despite the White House warning of “a winter of severe illness and death” because of unvaccinated Americans, first lady Jill Biden recently found the time to welcome a group of singing and dancing nurses from The Northwell Health Nurse Choir into the East Room during the “In Performance at the White House” Christmas event.

In the background of the performance, the first lady can be seen maskless while a majority of the nurses perform donning the face attire. Biden’s maskless appearance occurred less than a week after the White House’s medical advisors told Americans to “wear a mask at public indoor” settings to avoid overwhelming hospitals with sick COVID-19 patients.

The special aired on PBS on December 21 and featured other musical acts, but GOP strategist Amy Tarkanian flagged the nurses’ rendition of  “We Need A Little Christmas,” which was widely mocked on social media.

“Joe & Jill Biden invited singing nurses to perform in the East Room,” Tarkanian tweeted.

The Daily Wire’s Twitter account pointed out the juxtaposition between the singing nurses and the warnings of impending doom from the latest COVID-19 virus variant.

“And you should take Omicron very seriously after this,” The Daily Wire tweeted.’s Landon Mion jokingly tweeted, “I’m never getting vaccinated because of this video alone.”

Siraj Hashmi chimed in, saying, “nice of the President’s nursing staff to interrupt his morning sponge bath to break into song & dance.”

Others speculated that the nurses were lip-syncing. Conservative writer Derek Hunter advised that, “If you’re going to lip-sync, not only don’t wear a mask while doing it, but also don’t use audio where the vocals have been over-produced and are clearly not live. It fools the senile, but most people aren’t like Joe.”

Media personality Kate Hyde sarcastically said, “Turns out hospitals wouldn’t be so overwhelmed if the Biden’s [sic] didn’t pull nurses out of work just to give a private lip-synching performance at the White House.”

The Christmas special was hosted by actress Jennifer Garner and featured performances by Andrea Bocelli, Matteo Bocelli, Virginia Bocelli, Camila Cabello, Eric Church, Jonas Brothers, Norah Jones, Pentatonix, Billy Porter, and others.
