Daily Wire co-founder and co-CEO Jeremy Boreing urged private companies to resist the Biden administration’s rule forcing private employers to vaccinate or COVID-19 test their employees.
Boreing’s message to employers comes after the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced Wednesday morning that it was suspending its rule over pending litigation. The Daily Wire is at the forefront of the legal fight after the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, where The Daily Wire filed suit against the Biden administration, was picked via lottery to consolidate numerous legal challenges over the vaccine order.
“If you run a business and you’ve spent the last few weeks preparing to go along with the Biden plan, I get it. The government has brought enormous pressure to bear and the fines they’re threatening for non-compliance are staggering and could break any company,” Boreing said in the latest episode of “Enough.”
“But here’s the thing: Unless you’re a government contractor or subject to the health care worker vax requirement or some local or state policy, none of that is in play at the moment. Until the Sixth Circuit or Supreme Court rules otherwise, the OSHA mandate is off,” he continued. “No vaccine requirement. No testing requirement. No masks. No fines. Nothing. You don’t have to do anything.”
“So don’t,” Boreing said.
The Daily Wire has launched a petition for Americans to sign as a show of support in its legal battle against the Biden administration. The petition has hit over 600,000 signatures and continues to grow.
The Dhillon Law Group and Alliance Defending Freedom are representing The Daily Wire in its suit. They filed the legal challenge against the Biden administration on November 4, hours after OSHA published roughly 500-pages worth of regulations and standards over the rule in question.
Despite the legal challenges and a 5th Circuit Court order to stay the rule, the White House has continued to pressure companies to implement the mandate. “We say: Do not wait to take actions that will keep your workplace safe. It is important and critical to do, and waiting to get more people vaccinated will lead to more outbreaks and sickness,” White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said last week.
Boreing is urging the opposite. “Don’t do the dirty work for the government. Make them have to defend their unconstitutional bulls*** in court before you give in,” he said, before reminding workers to resist any pressure from their companies to comply, as well.
“Don’t let them hide behind the vaccine mandate. Unless we lose in court, none of us has to comply,” Boreing said, referring to employers. “And we’re not going to lose. We’re going to kick the government’s a**.”
Boreing ended his remarks asking for support in The Daily Wire’s legal fight against the federal government.
“Some 600,000 people have already added their voices to our fight by signing our petition telling the Biden Administration they oppose these mandates. Thank you. We’re going to keep you posted on the case as it unfolds, and yes, we’ll probably also ask you to become a paying subscriber over at Daily Wire.com,” he said. “It’s expensive work fighting the government in court. We’re not a charity. We’re a for-profit business that will provide you killer content for your money, but we couldn’t wage this battle without our paying members.”
“And again, if you’re a business that believes in freedom, the best way you can help is just to stop. Stop implementing OSHA’s illegal mandate because as of today, you don’t have to. Don’t make it easy for them by making your employees choose between their jobs and their freedom,” Boreing concluded.
