Every Sunday morning, legacy media outlets are taken over by elected officials, aspiring elected officials, administration insiders, and the usual collection of talking heads — all of whom are there to discuss specific policies, push talking points, or simply promote their own campaigns.
For those who don’t spend their Sunday mornings glued to the television — and their Sunday afternoons attempting to unravel a full week’s worth of network and cable news media spin — The Daily Wire has compiled a short summary of what you may have missed.
ABC News, “This Week”:
On ABC’s “This Week,” the conversation turned to the topic of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, and in addition to a panel discussion on the “curse” of the SOTU response — delivered this year by Senator Katie Britt (R-AL) — former Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman Donna Brazile gave a glowing review of the speech itself.
Referring to Biden’s speech — labeled by many critics as the most divisive State of the Union in history — Brazile claimed that the president had delivered a “master class” to the American people.
“I thought it was a great speech,” she said. “Not because you’re a Democrat or a Republican, but you’re an American who wants to see the country succeed.”

CBS News, “Face the Nation”:
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) joined host Margaret Brennan on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” where he continued to pressure President Biden to temper his support for Israel in the ongoing war with terrorist group Hamas.
Sanders began with a call for Biden to either place conditions on or suspend entirely all military aid to Israel, arguing that it was “good politics and the moral and right thing to do.”

Sanders went on to attack Israel directly, claiming that the planned offensive in Rafah would almost certainly result in “unmitigated disaster,” adding, “My view is, of course, we cannot support an attack of that kind.”

Sanders, who has already endorsed President Biden in the 2024 presidential race, said that he was not prepared to withdraw that endorsement over a disagreement on his response to Israel. “The fight continues to change Biden’s policy in Gaza, but the contrast between Joe Biden and Trump is day and night,” he said.

CNN, “State of the Union”:
Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) used some of his time on CNN’s “State of the Union” to voice his issues with former President – and likely Republican nominee in 2024 – Donald Trump.
Weighing in on the drama unfolding in his home state — particularly that which has surrounded Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis — Warnock claimed that Trump’s issues with Willis will racially motivated.
“I’m never surprised when I see Donald Trump attacking women, especially black women,” he said. “This is who he is.”

Warnock also pushed back on Trump’s continued support among evangelical Christians, suggesting that they must be a different kind of Christian than he was.
“As a Christian, I’m a Matthew 25 Christian, where Jesus said: ‘I was hungry and you fed me. I was sick and you attended to me,'” Warnock quoted, adding, “That’s what informs my faith and my politics.”

NBC News, “Meet the Press”:
While his colleagues were busy calling on Biden to put more pressure on Israel — and on Israel to dial back the intensity in the fight against Hamas in Gaza — Senator Lindsey Graham joined NBC anchor Kristen Welker to make the opposite case on “Meet the Press.”
Saying that Biden had things completely “backwards” when it came to the Israel-Hamas war, Graham argued that Americans should be leveling their criticisms at Hamas.
“When the president … talks about Bibi and not Hamas, we’re missing the boat,” Graham explained, saying that the United States should be looking at the source of the conflict — Iran — rather than focus energy on restraining Israel. “We should be talking about red lines against Iran.”

FOX, “Fox News Sunday”:
Former NFL quarterback and college football star Tim Tebow joined “Fox News Sunday” anchor Shannon Bream to discuss the work he’s been doing recently to help fight human trafficking.
“It’s one of the worst evils in the world. It’s not 20,000 kids that are unknown and unidentified, it’s over 50,000 girls and boys. There are so many boys and girls, and 65 percent of them are under the age of 12, and… 2,100 of them are infants,” Tebow told Bream.
“The tip of the spear for this fight is victim identification specialists. They are amazing front line heroes, but right now, we only have seven here. We need to have 100, 200,” he added. “One of the appeals we were making is to bring more funding … for these victim identification specialists. But it really starts with being able to build a team to identify (victims), and then partnerships around the world, because when you have one of these images or videos, you don’t know where this lead is going to take you.”

MSNBC, “Inside With Jen Psaki”:
During her MSNBC show “Inside with Jen Psaki,” the former White House Press Secretary kept the Russian interference narrative afloat with some help from exiting Climate Envoy John Kerry.
“Do you worry about Russia intervening in our election again?” Psaki asked, and Kerry replied: “They’re already intervening in our election … That is happening now.”

“I think Putin and others are probably watching with great interest who will be the next president of the United States,” Kerry continued, making no mention of the fact that Putin has said he would prefer Biden to Trump in 2024 and would have preferred former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over Trump in 2016.
