President Donald Trump rallied Georgia voters on Saturday night for the upcoming Senate runoff elections in January and warned that they needed to vote for Senator Kelly Loeffler over Raphael Warnock because of Warnock’s far-left views.

“Kelly’s opponent, Raphael Warnock, is a dangerous extremist who is radically opposed to your values,” Trump said. “He said he believes that ‘Nobody can serve God and the military.’ Oh really? An appalling statement that dishonors the memory and generations of American heroes who fought for God and for our country.”

“Raphael Warnock has openly declared his support for socialism and he has even praised Marxists all over the world,” Trump continued. “He once hosted the barbaric communist dictator Fidel Castro, he likes Castro, thinks he was a good man, he was a good guy, he said. He falsely slandered patriotic Americans as racists. He called police officers, ‘gangsters, thugs, and bullies.”

Trump’s reference to Castro follows reports about an event in 1995 in which a church where Warnock was a “junior member” of the staff hosted the communist dictator. In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper following the Nov. 3 election, Warnock said about the event, “I was a youth pastor. I had nothing to do with that program. I did not make any decisions regarding the program. I have never met the Cuban dictator, and so I’m not connected to him.” When Tapper pressed him if he understood “why people would be appalled by anyone celebrating Fidel Castro,” Warnock said, “Well, absolutely. And I never have. What I’m putting forward in this race is American values.”

FactCheck.org reports that Warnock wrote in his 2013 book on theology that “the Marxist critique has much to teach the black church.”

“He supports abolishing cash bail. Look at what happened to New York with their cash bail. No cash bail, no bail, don’t worry about it! You killed somebody, don’t worry about it. You know, you’re on the honor code. And he’s declared open up the jails, free, the violent criminals and prey on Georgia, families, children,” Trump concluded.

Warnock “has long opposed cash bail, the system that requires people to put up money as essentially collateral to ensure they appear for court dates, even as the Democratic Party didn’t put the policy in its platform until 2020,” Fox News reported recently.

“Now you can’t do that,” said Trump. “This is not for Georgia, but I’m telling you, it might be for some places, and I tell you that too. This is not for Georgia. I think Rafael has to move to another state. Try it again. Warnock is strongly anti-Israel and Warnock’s own writings make clear that he believes America is a sinister nation that must be punished.”

“The answer,” Trump told the crowd, “is not to stay at home, that’s what Nancy Pelosi and Schumer, that’s what they want you to do.”

“If you want to do something to them — I don’t want to use the word ‘revenge,’ but it is a certain revenge — to the Democrats, you show up and vote in record numbers,” Trump continued. “That’s what you have to do.”

Trump warned that if Warnock and Jon Ossoff win, which will give the Democrats a 50-50 tie in the Senate with the vice president breaking the tie, that they will implement a radical agenda ranging from gun confiscation to eliminating the filibuster.

Trump encouraged Republicans, conservatives, and his supporters in the state to register to vote in the January runoff elections before Monday’s deadline.

“Register to vote before Monday 12/7,” Trump tweeted. “Register now on Georgia.gov, then request your absentee ballot before 12/31 – do it TODAY, and return your ballot the same day you get it. If you aren’t planning to vote by mail, vote early in person, or vote on Election Day!”
