Liberal comedian Trevor Noah did something he does not normally do on his TV show — he agreed with President Donald Trump.
Noah conceded on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” this week that Trump is right when it comes to calling Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) “Pocahontas.”
Trump came under fire on Monday when he mocked Warren during an event honoring Native American code talkers that helped the U.S. and the allied powers win World War II.
“We have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago,” Trump said. “They call her Pocahontas.”
Trump’s comments angered many on the Left who saw it as a “racial slur,” but, as the dust settled, many people were left scratching their heads about why he calls her “Pocahontas” in the first place.
To the shock of many, Noah not only backed up Trump on his comments but called the president “woke.”
“When he says ‘Pocahontas,’ you might be thinking, ‘wait, Trevor, I’m confused. Is Elizabeth Warren Native American?’ And you see, that’s the question. Because for a long time, she said she was,” Noah said during his show.
