<p>NextGen America, a progressive organization founded by Tom Steyer, released a political commercial on Wednesday that parodies &#8220;catch it before it’s too late&#8221; drug addiction commercials.</p>
<p>Throughout the video, a mother/narrator talks about her son.</p>
<p>&#8220;I started noticing some issues with him maybe in middle school,&#8221; she says while she gazes at her son’s graduation photo.</p>
<p>The mother then talks about her son stealing from &#8220;less fortunate&#8221; kids, and how his confidence didn’t translate into attention from women. During this portion of the narration, a photo is shown in which the son is wearing a Trump tee shirt and yelling at a woman while holding a sign that reads &#8220;Baby Killer.&#8221;</p>
<p>She speaks about her son visiting home frequently during college, but mostly to have her do his laundry. In yet another photo, a Trump tee shirt is prominently placed at the top of his laundry basket.</p>
<p>Then the commercial really drives its point home.</p>
<p>&#8220;It wasn’t until I met his college buddies that I realized it might be too late,&#8221; the mother says as a photo of the Charlottesville white nationalist march is shown.</p>
<p>&#8220;Only a mother can catch the signs early. This Mother’s Day, talk to your child about the GOP,&#8221; the mother implores as she downs a martini in one swig. &#8220;I wish I had.&#8221;</p>
<p>The commercial ends with the caption: &#8220;Talk to your child about the Republican Party.&#8221;</p>

<p>In short, this commercial appears to be suggesting that mothers should guide their impressionable children away from the Republican Party because it is the party of white supremacists and man-children who threaten women and steal from the &#8220;less fortunate.&#8221;</p>
