In an interview with Comedy Central’s Trevor Noah addressing his new book, “A Promised Land,” former President Barack Obama attacked the basic structures of traditional American governance, saying that the U.S. Senate and the Electoral College give the Republican Party “built-in advantages around power” and that wasn’t “fair.” He also declared that the Republican Party was “the minority party in this country.”
Obama also implied that Trump’s base does not live in the world of reality, saying of the rest of the country, “60 percent of the people are occupying what I would consider a more reality-based universe.”
