CNN host Chris Cuomo threw off all signs of objective journalism during an appearance on Seth Meyer’s late-night comedy show where he talked about the Tuesday hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
As MRCTV reported, Cuomo did laugh at the spectacle the Democrats made during the hearings before implying that conservatives are closeted racists who only want “white male” judges in power.
Cuomo claimed that people often ask him why conservatives still support President Donald Trump. The “facts first” network host offered his opinion on the matter.
“Judges,” he said. “The answer is one word. We are not united by many things in this country culturally. Right? We all come from different places. Even English is a borrowed language for just about all of us. But law is our religion.”
“That is the set of rules that we go by that create our culture,” Cuomo continued. “You stack the courts across this country with white, male, young judges and you will have a generation of a certain kind of jurisprudence. I’m not judging it, but that’s why as soon as Kavanaugh, if he makes it through, and he is confirmed, Donald Trump’s presidency goes in the history books as being impactful because he will have changed that court.”
It never occurs to Chris Cuomo that conservatives support Trump’s policies on lowering taxes, reforms at the Veteran Affairs Department, moving the United States Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, or the emphasis that the Justice Department has taken on law and order.
Not so, according to the CNN host. Conservatives are only interested in putting old white men in power, of course, forgetting that President Trump appointed Amy Coney Barrett to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals or Dr. Ben Carson to direct the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
It did not end there; Cuomo literally appealed to leftist voters to get out and vote.
“Look, I think that you have to look at it that way,” he said. “My only concern that I have is that you let the negativity consume you. Not that there isn’t good reason for it, but we are going to have elections now. If people come out and vote, then you win. Then people win. If they don’t come out and vote, then they have nothing to complain about.”
