<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tyson Foods is taking another step in reshaping the food industry by pledging to eliminate controversial additives from some of America’s most well-known grocery staples. The company announced on Monday that it will stop using high fructose corn syrup, sucralose, BHA/BHT, and titanium dioxide across its U.S. branded products, including Tyson, Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Wright, State Fair, and Aidells by the end of 2025.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Earlier this year, Tyson Foods removed petroleum-based synthetic dyes from its product line. While the ingredients slated for removal are still FDA-approved and considered safe for use, Tyson says the move is about setting a higher bar for what families can expect on their dinner tables.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“We continuously review and assess our product portfolio to ensure the highest quality products that meet the needs of consumers,” <a href="https://www.tysonfoods.com/news/news-releases/2025/9/tyson-foods-plans-to-stop-using-high-fructose-corn-syrup">said</a> Donnie King, President &amp; CEO of Tyson Foods. “Our decision to remove High Fructose Corn Syrup and other ingredients reflects our ongoing commitment to feeding the world like family, while preserving the taste, value and integrity that define our iconic brands.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The voluntary initiative builds on Tyson’s push to reduce sodium, sugars, and additives in its lineup of food products.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The announcement comes after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced earlier this year that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is working with companies to phase out petroleum-based food dyes by the end of 2026 as part of the “Make America Healthy Again” agenda.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tyson, as well as other companies including PepsiCo, vowed to make those changes ahead of schedule, as The Daily Wire previously </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/major-food-companies-accelerate-maha-changes-to-recipes"><span style="font-weight: 400;">reported</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">RFK Jr. has been an outspoken critic of companies using corn syrup, calling the common sugar substitute “poison.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">High-fructose corn syrup is “just a formula for making you obese and diabetic,” Kennedy once said, according to The Wall Street Journal.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The use of high fructose corn syrup has been at the center of debate among dieticians and health experts for years, as some studies have shown a link between high-fructose corn syrup consumption and the obesity epidemic. In July, President Trump said he was speaking to Coca-Cola about using real cane sugar in their soda instead, which he said the company agreed to do.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Trump wrote on Truth Social, “This will be a very good move by them — You’ll see. It’s just better!”</span></p>
