On Tuesday, Donald Trump blasted President Obama for his apparent hypersensitivity about climate change. Trump suggested that Obama is making Americans look like morons without the slightest hint of perspective.
“We are fools,” Trump told Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily, “All he wants to talk about is climate change. We’re like the dummies that everyone laughs at.”
Trump didn’t miss a beat when he unequivocally trashed Obama’s foreign policy legacy, stating,“[Obama] thinks that climate change is a far bigger problem than Russia loaded up with nukes, China doing what they’re doing in the [South China Sea] where they’re literally building up islands, building up fortresses. They have no respect for us.”
The real estate mogul then went after Obama’s failed engagement with an ever-booming China. “China is not a believer. The Chinese are laughing at us while going along with what [Obama] says. They want to be leader with their mouth. They want to stand there and say, ‘We agree, Mr. President.’ I speak to the Chinese at the highest levels, and they think we’re dumb as hell,” Trump stated, adding, “And they’re right.”
Trump’s meteoric rise in the poll is partially attributable to his brash style and no-nonsense rhetoric. Unlike some of his other fellow candidates, especially in the establishment wing of the Republican Party, Trump has harbored no apprehensions about calling out Barack Obama with absolute candor.
“We have a president over there worried about climate change instead of nuclear weapons coming into our cities. We’re run by stupid people. I used to say incompetent, but stupid, really, is the next stage.”
