On Thursday, Donald Trump tweeted an unfounded accusation of Ted Cruz committing a federal crime.
Federal laws prohibit outside groups from coordinating their activities with the candidates and campaigns they support.
Although nearly everyone in the world knows by now that a super PAC unaffiliated with the Cruz campaign posted the GQ picture of Trump’s wife Melania in the nude, Trump insisted that Cruz somehow knew about it, which is silly, because Liz Mair, who runs Make America Awesome, which ran the ad that offended Trump, holds positions anathema to Cruz, including being pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, pro-amnesty, and pro-global warming activism.
In addition, Mair has never worked for Cruz.
