<p>Donald Trump has authorized a fundraiser for his supporter who was tragically killed during a failed assassination attempt on the former president during a campaign rally on Saturday.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/president-trump-seeks-support-for-butler-pa-victims" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GoFundMe account</a>, which has been promoted by eldest Trump son Don Jr., has already raised more than $800,000.</p>
<p>&#8220;President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a place for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt,&#8221; the fundraiser says. &#8220;All donations will be directed to these proud Americans as they grieve and recover.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;May God bless and unite our nation,&#8221; it adds.</p>
<p>As of Sunday morning, more than $838,000 had been raised, with a goal of $1 million.</p>

<p>Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek <span class="css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3">Ramaswamy also promoted the GoFundMe. He and his wife Apoorva <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/gofundme-authorized-trump-butler-pa-victims-exceeds-400k-vivek-ramaswamy-donates-30k" target="_blank" rel="noopener">donated</a> $30,000 to the man&#8217;s family. </span></p>

<p>Trump on Saturday night was shot at during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. In a post online, he said he heard a bullet zip by his right ear, which was pierced by a bullet. After the Secret Service rushed in to surround Trump, the former president brushed them off, threw his fist in the air, and repeatedly shouted, “Fight.” His supporters broke out in a “U-S-A” chant.</p>
<p>The Trump supporter who died has been confirmed to be a male. Two other Trump supporters were critically injured, <a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-vp-vance-rubio-7c7ba6b99b5f38d2d840ed95b2fdc3e5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to reports; they have been confirmed to be males, too.</p>
<p>Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/112784638860095397" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a post to Truth Social on Sunday morning that his love goes out to those injured at the rally.</p>
<p>&#8220;Our love goes out to the other victims and their families,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed.&#8221;</p>
<p>In the same message, the former president emphasized, &#8220;it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win.&#8221;</p>
