<p>On Thursday, President Joe Biden mentioned the word &#8220;truth&#8221; more than 10 times in an address to the nation remembering the January 6, 2021, protest which turned into a riot against the 2020 election. Biden stated that &#8220;great nations&#8221; do not bury the facts about their history, rather they &#8220;face up&#8221; to the truth. In response, Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) pointed out that Biden&#8217;s speech sounded like the commander-in-chief was lecturing us while his first year in office has been riddled with lies touching nearly every aspect of his presidency.</p>
<p>&#8220;Joe Biden lied about rescuing Americans from Afghanistan. He lied about his spending plan &#8216;costing zero dollars.&#8217; He lied about GA&#8217;s election law. He lied about inflation, mandates, and his &#8216;plan&#8217; to stop the virus,&#8221; Cotton tweeted. &#8220;Now, he&#8217;s lecturing us about &#8216;living by the truth'&#8221;?</p>

<p>As The New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/09/01/6-lies-president-joe-biden-told-about-afghanistan/">reported</a>, Biden had said in August that ahead of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, &#8220;if there are American citizens left, we’re going to stay until we get them all out&#8221; and that  &#8220;any American who wants to come home, we will get you home.&#8221; But Biden&#8217;s team did not get every American home who wanted to leave before the withdrawal finished.</p>
<p>Biden has also repeated the lie that his Build Back Better plan would cost the American people &#8220;zero dollars.&#8221; Even The Washington Post <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/09/28/bidens-claim-that-his-spending-plan-costs-zero-dollars/">gave</a> that remark &#8220;two Pinocchios.&#8221;</p>
<p>The president also <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/03/30/biden-falsely-claims-new-georgia-law-ends-voting-hours-early/">claimed</a> that Georgia&#8217;s new election law would block early voting and voting after work. Again, this was blatantly false.</p>
<p>As well is documented, the president <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/after-promising-to-shut-down-the-virus-biden-now-claims-there-is-no-federal-solution">also promised</a> to &#8220;shut down&#8221; the virus only to admit &#8220;there is no federal solution&#8221; while cases soar to record highs. Meanwhile, the president is still pushing numerous vaccine mandates — including one for the private sector about to be challenged before the Supreme Court by The Daily Wire and others — after promising to not enact any mandates for this virus.</p>
<p>And of course, Biden has flip-flopped and outright denied reality by first claiming that inflationary prices were &#8220;transitory,&#8221; only for the cost of just about everything to continue ascending throughout 2021 while claiming it was the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-lauds-strongest-first-year-economic-track-record-of-any-president-in-50-years-in-bizarre-tweet-despite-economic-crises">strongest economic year ever</a>.</p>
<p>In the speech Thursday, Biden also stated that he &#8220;did not seek this fight brought to this Capital&#8221;  by the January 6 riot, but that he will not &#8220;shrink&#8221; and  &#8220;will stand in this breach&#8221; while defending this nation, before saying he will  &#8220;not allow anyone to place a dagger at the throat of democracy.&#8221;</p>
<p>But, as pointed out by GOP operative Matt Wolking, on the 2020 campaign trail Biden agreed with the lie on at least on one occasion that Trump was an illegitimate president:</p>

<p>While Biden&#8217;s speech has unsurprisingly received praise from mainstream media, as pointed out by Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, it is unclear if anybody outside of D.C. is even <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nauseating-ron-desantis-says-january-6th-anniversary-will-be-a-politicized-charlie-foxtrot">paying attention</a> to Biden or the other events regarding January 6 on Thursday.</p>
