After a former top Israeli official visited the scene of the Hamas terrorist attack on Kfar Aza for the first time, she said she believes the massacre is “one of the most horrible things that happened to humanity since the Holocaust.”
Ayelet Shaked, Israel’s former Minister of Justice, said that although she understood the facts from photos and videos, being at the site of the massacre illuminated the gravity of what occurred.
“I knew the facts of course,” Shaked told The Daily Wire with mortar fire sounds ringing in the background. “When you are there you feel, you smell, and you understand what happened there. It’s important that the world will know about it.”

Shaked brought a group of colleagues to see the massacre site where more than 50 civilians were murdered during Hamas’s brutal Oct. 7. Attack. No civilians survived on the street that Shaked toured, according to the IDF.
“There are still horrible things like hairs that you can see from the massacre,” Shaked said.
While at the site, Shaked spoke with a member of Zaka, the group tasked with cleaning up bodies, who told her he encountered a toddler’s body with a knife through the head. He also told her about a pregnant woman who was found with her stomach cut open and her baby murdered.
“It’s important to talk with the people that arrived at the houses when it happened and hear their evidence,” she said.
After Shaked toured the site, she sang the Israeli national anthem – HaTikvah — with a group of Americans and amputees from the non-profit, The Next Step, who were preparing to enter the street of decimated homes.

Shaked thanked the group for coming to the site and said she hopes more Americans visit.
“We need the support of the U.S. administration of course in order to finish them,” she said. “We are not going to stop until we will eliminate Hamas.”
“They are monsters and it’s either us or them,” she added.
