A Houston, Texas family was terrorized Tuesday night when three armed robbers violently broke into their home and held them hostage while ransacking the place.
Police say that when the homeowner arrived from work around 9:15 p.m., he was ambushed and pistol-whipped by three suspects waiting for him. They forced him into the house where his wife and two young children (five and six years old) were, and made them lie on the floor at gunpoint.

Miraculously, the father managed to get to his own weapon and shoot one of the criminals in the head.
