The Nightmare America Thinks It Escaped

Democrats have always hated President Trump. But now many Republicans and most independents seem upset with him, too.

Part of that is because Trump’s the guy in power, and Republicans run both houses of Congress. I get it. 

But there seems to be this bizarre idea that has run amok in America that woke is in remission and that the craziest parts of the Left have been defeated.

This is dead wrong.

The radical Left is waiting. They’re barely biding their time. They’re barely hiding it. They’re metastasizing. 

And they are worse than they were in 2024. They’re not moderating; they have not been excised. They are worse. 

They’re getting ready to burst free at the first available opportunity with all of their insanity — and their violence.

Bill Burr is an indicator of this. He used to be funny. And then he decided it was very, very important for his radical Left bona fides to be displayed in public. 

This is a person who is criticizing CEOs for receiving security. Last year, he said Luigi Mangione should be freed for murdering a young father on the streets of New York because that young man was the CEO of a health insurance company.

“If you look at all of this stuff, like the response to the Luigi thing was not to be like, ‘Well, hey, maybe we need to look at what we’re doing if what we’re doing makes some crazy person do this,’” he declared. “Their response was to take their faces off of the internet and get security. It’s like, you don’t think you need to examine — you know what I mean? It’s like you’re not the president. You’re just the CEO of a business.”

Jackass.

He celebrated the murderer, and his next question is, “Why are CEOs getting security?” Shouldn’t they get security? Should they look inside themselves as they’re bleeding out on the sidewalk of New York and realize that probably they had it coming?

Burr has berated shoe manufacturers, saying, “They went with cheaper leather, you know what I mean? Because some corporate f*ck had to give himself a f*cking bonus check at the end of the year. ‘What if we made it worse but made it look the same? Then could our pools be bigger?’ Free Luigi!” 

He uses “Free Luigi” as his punchline for all of his socialist crap. He’s gotten rich by telling jokes, but he says this all the time. He goes around shouting “Free Luigi!”

Luigi Mangione murdered a man in cold blood for the crime of being the head of a health insurance company. 

Burr is still seen as some sort of arbiter of truth because comedians are our great truth tellers in our dumb civilization. 

Here’s Bill Burr doing the same exact thing just last year: “They’re talking about looting. But CNN and Fox News are not going to bring up the insurance companies that are just going to keep everybody’s premiums and still get themselves a bonus. Free Luigi!”

That’s not a punchline, but he treats it as a punchline because the truth is, he’s fine with that. He literally told Rolling Stone that America requires a “bloodbath.” 

Remember, Bill Burr is a well-established part of the entertainment culture. Bill Burr and the Hasan Pikers of the world are representative of a broad swath of the Left.

This is why when I see Republicans who are discouraged or upset about the Trump administration, they should remember: You don’t have to love everything that Trump has done. You don’t even have to agree with most things that Trump has done. 

Just understand what’s on the other side of that door. 

What’s on the other side of that door is deep and insane radicalism. 

This is not a minority position in the Democratic Party. There is a poll that was done by the Center for Strategic Politics and Liberal Currents this week, and it showed that if they had been told that Donald Trump had been assassinated while speaking at a rally, 32% of Democrats would be happy and another 25% of Democrats would have no feeling about it at all, neither positive nor negative.

If they were told that there had been a military coup, and that the president of the United States had been removed by the heads of the military, 59% of Democrats would be happy, and another 13% would be indifferent.

This is not a minority position. Their revolutionary insanity is taking over. 

There’s a story that came out in the Boston Globe that has apparently shattered all of their records in terms of subscriptions because it demonstrates full-scale how psychotic the bleeding edge of the Left is. It was about a Western Massachusetts lesbian bar that had required, since it opened, KN-95 masks.

The year is now 2026. The COVID pandemic was basically over by 2021. 

This particular story is indicative of the mindset of the bleeding edge of the Democratic Party that, if given power, will be nuts.

The bar had been telling everyone they needed to mask up since it opened, and then they relaxed it. 

Things went crazy. According to the Boston Globe, one commenter wrote, “Just say you’re being complicit in a mass disabling event and get it over with.” Another posted, “People like you killed disabled people in the name of your own leisure and convenience.” A third wrote, “I hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my fellow immunocompromised people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra revenue from ableist.”

Two days later, the bar posted an apology. But instead of diffusing the situation, the apology made things worse. The bar had posted an Instagram card without providing alternative text for the visually impaired.

This set off a fresh round of accusations of ableism. 

One of the owners wound up enrolling in clown school.

No, I am not kidding. 

Why do I relate that story? Because at its root, this is what the Democratic Party is. It is Bill Burr saying that CEOs should not have security, but also should be shot on the streets. It is people at a lesbian bar ripping on each other for having a maskless night in 2026. 

That is where we are now. 

There was a hearing in the Senate about trans people in sports, meaning boys who want to play with girls. Nearly every Democrat boycotted it.

I have been told the Democrats have become sane and rational again. 

No, they absolutely have not. 

Understand this: If Democrats take over, it will be crazier than ever. 

It is not going back to Bill Clinton in 1996. That is nowhere in sight. We are so far beyond that point that it makes your head spin.

The Democrats are just waiting for their chance to do it all over again. 

And if we do not vote in droves, they will get it.
