Ben ShapiroOver the weekend, five men were arrested over a suspected terrorist plot to bomb a Royal Air Force (RAF) base that is home to the U.S. 501st Combat Support Wing headquarters and the 420th Air Base Squadron.
It wasn’t that the U.K. was all over these potential terrorists and then caught them in the act; instead, a local farmer saw a bunch of terrorists doing terrorist things.
We do have some information as to who these people are. It appears they were getting ready to attack the Air Force base because there are assets there that have been used by the United States in the campaign against Iran.
Naturally, we are going to be treated to the spectacle of the entire U.K. government telling us that the motive remains mysterious: “It’s all a mystery. We have no idea who did this.”
Andy Burnham, the ridiculous new prime minister, put out this statement:
I know today’s incident near RAF Fairford will be deeply concerning for local residents and for many people following developments across the country. My thanks go to Gloucester police, counter-terrorism, policing, our armed forces and all those working to keep the public safe. The investigation remains ongoing. I would urge people not to speculate while the authorities establish the full facts.
Oh, would you? We must be protected at all costs from Islamophobia. It’s the Norm Macdonald joke playing out over and over again. Macdonald said, “What terrifies me is if ISIS were to detonate a nuclear device and kill 50 million Americans. Imagine the backlash against peaceful Muslims?”
It is highly likely that this was an Iranian-sponsored attack on an RAF base. The U.K. has been useless in the fight against Iran, even as Europe suffers from choked-off oil supplies caused by Iran. Europeans love issuing strongly worded letters to the Iranians without doing anything.
It’s the U.K. that has been pretending that nothing much is happening from Iran, even as Iran pursues terrorism around the globe. U.K. Defense Secretary Wes Streeting said, “We haven’t joined offensive action against Iran. We have taken part in defensive action to support U.K. people, personnel, interests and our allies, and we will continue to do so. … We stand ready to respond to any attacks that Iran wishes to wage against this country or our allies. And we will continue to do that.”
They were so ready that only the farmer driving past the base was able to prevent a mass terrorist attack on an RAF base in their country.
This indicates that the West does not recognize the problem. The entire U.K. government is rooted in a willing complicity in the shipment of people into its country who hate the West.
Not everyone thinks like the West. This is the single failure of imagination that has put the West under the heel of radical Islam: the idea that everyone thinks like you.
Another great piece of evidence from the U.K. over the weekend: According to the U.K. Times, “A former bodyguard to the leader of Hamas secured asylum and citizenship in Britain before plotting a terrorist attack against Jews in Europe before the second anniversary of the October 7 massacre.”
It turns out that terrorists from Hamas come to the West and want to commit terrorism.
When you import vast numbers of people who are deeply supportive of anti-Western ideas, you import those ideas, too.
But we’re not supposed to talk like this. We’re supposed to pretend that everyone is exactly the same in how they think and how they approach the world.
We should point out the fact that the U.K. has decided that it should take in more refugees from Palestinian areas.

It makes sense. If the Labour government believes that the Palestinian people are such a peaceful, wonderful, Western-values-loving people, they should be perfectly happy to take in hundreds of thousands.
I’m sure it will work out fine.
