Taylor Swift reportedly declined an offer from Meghan Markle to appear on her now-canceled Spotify podcast “Archetypes” after the Duchess of Sussex wrote the pop star a note personally asking her to be a guest on the show.
The 33-year-old pop singer reportedly turned down the offer — not even personally, but through her representative — after the former “Suits” actress had invited her to be part of her feminist podcast series, Page Six reported.
The news comes after Spotify announced it would not be renewing the Duchess of Susssex’s podcast for a second season.

Prince Harry and Markle’s company, Archewell Audio, produced 12 episodes of the podcast, which aired from August to November 2022.
The streaming site and the royal couple’s company released a joint statement that they “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series [they] made together.”
An insider told the Post, that the royal couple had not produced enough content to justify the deal the royal’s made with the streaming site, after they signed an agreement in 2020 for $20 million.
Shortly after news surfaced that the podcast deal was canceled, Spotify executive Bill Simmons slammed the Sussexes, labeling them “f***ing grifters.”
“I gotta get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea,” he added. “It’s one of my best stories.”
At a recent event, United Talent Agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer labeled Markle untalented after the Spotify partnership was over.
“Turns out Meghan Markle was not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent,” Zimmer told Semafor at the 2023 Cannes Lions advertising festival.
“And, you know, just because you’re famous doesn’t make you great at something,” he added.
One source with direct knowledge previously told Bloomberg that the Duke of Sussex had reportedly pitched the streaming site the idea for several podcast shows of his own that would involve interviewing former President Donald Trump, Russia President Vladmir Putin, and Mark Zuckerberg about traumas they experienced as kids.
The idea reportedly puzzled executives, who allegedly found the royal’s pitch “questionable” given the fact that people like Trump, Putin, and Zuckerberg rarely give wide-ranging interviews about their upbringings and personal experiences.
