Taylor Swift made history at the 2024 Grammy Awards by winning Album of the Year for the fourth time, putting her ahead of three-time winners, music industry legends Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon. Swift is also the first woman to win more than twice.
Swift won the coveted award this year for “Midnights” after previously winning for “Fearless,” “1989,” and “Folklore.”
During her acceptance speech, the 34-year-old pop star expressed her love for the industry and her fans, per People.
“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life. But I feel this happy when I’ve finished a song or when I’ve cracked the code to a bridge that I love or when I’m shot listing a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show,” she said, referencing her return to The Eras Tour next week in Japan.
“For me, the award is the work. All I want to do is keep being able to do this,” Swift continued. “I love it so much. It makes me so happy. It makes me unbelievably blown away that it makes some people happy who voted for this award too. All I want to do is keep doing this. So thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to do what I love so much,” she said.

Earlier in the night, the “Karma” singer used some of her time onstage to announce a new upcoming album. “The Tortured Poets Society” will debut on April 19.
“I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans,” she said. “So, I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years.”
Right after the announcement, the singer posted an image of the album cover on social media. This black and white image shows Swift reclining on a bed in black lingerie.
Swift was nominated for six Grammys this year and won two. In addition to Album of the Year, Swift also won Best Pop Vocal Album.
