An armed man displaying &#8220;suspicious behavior&#8221; was arrested Friday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, according to federal authorities.
On Sunday, a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-and-top-conservatives-to-gather-sunday-in-arizona-to-remember-charlie-kirk?topStoryPosition=undefined&amp;author=Daily+Wire&amp;category=Original&amp;elementPosition=1&amp;row=1&amp;rowHeadline=Top+Stories&amp;rowType=Top+Stories&amp;title=Trump+And+Top+Conservatives+To+Gather+Sunday+In+Arizona+To+Remember+Charlie+Kirk">special memorial event</a> for assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk will be held at the stadium. The event will include speeches from Kirk&#8217;s widow Erika Kirk, President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and others.
The suspicious man was allegedly falsely <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/armed-man-detained-charlie-kirk-memorial-service-stadium-report-2132909">posing</a> as law enforcement.
&#8220;The U.S. Secret Service in coordination with local law enforcement in Glendale, Arizona, is investigating an individual who was observed exhibiting suspicious behavior at State Farm Stadium,&#8221; Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/live-news/charlie-kirk-shooting-investigation-9-20-2025">confirmed</a> to Fox News.
&#8220;The individual was approached by Secret Service and stated during the encounter that he was a member of law enforcement and that he was armed. The individual is not a member of authorized law enforcement working the event and is currently in custody,&#8221; Guglielmi added.
A source told Fox that the man, who has yet to be publicly identified, &#8220;is a former deputy sheriff out of Idaho&#8221; and &#8220;identified himself with expired credentials.&#8221;
&#8220;They are going through his background and trying to figure out what he was up to there,&#8221; the source added.
The event has been designated by the Department of Homeland Security as a Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) Level 1 event, which gives it Super Bowl-level security.
“This designation is reserved for events of the highest national significance and enables the federal government to provide the full range of law enforcement and security resources necessary to support local officials in ensuring a safe and successful event,” a DHS official <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/5511577-super-bowl-security-charlie-kirk-memorial-arizona/">said</a>, according to The Hill.

The service for Kirk, who founded Turning Point USA at just 18 years old, is expected to turn out at least tens of thousands of Americans, with anticipated overflow since the stadium holds little more than 63,000 people.

‘Suspicious’ Armed Man Arrested Outside Stadium Where Charlie Kirk Memorial To Be Held

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) — a highly influential Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) vaccine panel — held discussions and votes over the past two days on a number of vaccinations.
Specifically, the CDC panel discussed the MMRV, hepatitis B, and COVID vaccines.
On the MMRV vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox, the panel voted to delay the shot until a child is at least four years old, citing an increased risk in febrile seizures. It&#8217;s still currently recommended that the MMR and chickenpox vaccine, separately, be given to young children.
The hepatitis B shot was also widely discussed, but ultimately a vote to delay the first dose, which is currently given at birth, was kicked for another time. Some advocates say the first dose is not necessary at birth if the mother herself tests negative for the disease, since hepatitis B is transmitted sexually or by blood.
The panel did vote to <a href="https://www.hhs.gov/press-room/acip-recommends-covid19-vaccination-individual-decision-making.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com">recommend</a> all pregnant women be tested for hepatitis B, a test that is covered across all insurance programs, according to Health and Human Services (HHS).
Lastly, the panel took on COVID vaccines. The panel <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/5513336-acip-recommends-childhood-vaccine-changes/">recommended</a> that the shot &#8220;be determined by individual decision-making.&#8221; This means there is no longer a broad recommendation for all, but instead, individuals will decide after discussions with providers, including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, according to HHS.
&#8220;It allows for immunization coverage through all payment mechanisms including entitlement programs such as the Vaccines for Children Program, Children’s Health Insurance Program, Medicaid, and Medicare, as well as insurance plans through the federal Health Insurance Marketplace,&#8221; HHS adds.
During this latest meeting, five new appointees were named to ACIP: Catherine M. Stein, Dr. Evelyn Griffin, Hilary Blackburn, Dr. Kirk Milhoan, and Dr. Raymond Pollak.
ACIP is highly influential. The panel meets a few times a year and makes recommendations to the CDC, thereby basically setting the childhood vaccine schedule and other vaccine-related recommendations, like flu shots and COVID vaccines. ACIP also heavily influences which vaccines are covered by both public and private insurance.
Back in June, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dismissed all sitting ACIP panel members over what he said were conflicts of interest. At the time, Kennedy argued in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal that ACIP had lost the trust of the American people, effectively becoming a “rubber-stamp” for all vaccines while ignoring safety concerns and conflict of interest rules.
He said that ACIP had “never recommended against a vaccine—even those which were later withdrawn for safety reasons,” adding that the panel “failed to scrutinize vaccine products given to babies and pregnant women.”

Vax Panel Takes On COVID, Hep B, And MMRV Vaccines. Here’s What They Decided.

McDonald&#8217;s USA announced this week that it&#8217;s pouring $200 million into regenerative farm practices &#8212; the largest McDonald&#8217;s investment in regenerative agriculture to date.
The move has been hailed as a win for the &#8220;Make America Healthy Again&#8221; movement, since these practices enhance soil health and make synthetic chemicals and fertilizers far less necessary.

McDonald’s, which is the largest fast food chain in the nation, is working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and others to invest more than $200 million over the next seven years in regenerative grazing practices, habitat restoration, and water and wildlife conservation on cattle ranches spanning 4 million acres across up to 38 states, a press release from the company outlines.
The investment, McDonald&#8217;s said, shows the company&#8217;s &#8220;continued commitment to responsible beef sourcing and stewardship of natural resources.&#8221;
Calley Means, an advisor to Kennedy, said on X, &#8220;McDonald’s invests $200 million to shift supply chain to more regenerative practices. Soil Health and regenerative practices are a true win-win between MAHA advocates and large companies. These moves should be celebrated.&#8221;

MAHA Changes Are Coming To McDonald’s

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) &#8212; a highly influential Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) vaccine panel &#8212; is meeting Thursday and Friday to discuss potential changes to the childhood vaccination schedule. 
The panel will specifically review the COVID vaccine, the hepatitis B vaccination, and the MMRV shot, which protects against measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox. The panel will take votes on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon regarding their recommendations for if, when, and how the three vaccines should be administered.
Regarding the COVID vaccine, there are scheduled discussions on the &#8220;genomics of vaccine-induced myocarditis,&#8221; as well as the &#8220;economic analysis of COVID-19 vaccination.&#8221; The panel is also expected to hear statements from COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers. The vote for a COVID recommendation is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday.
On the hepatitis B vaccine, reports this week have suggested that the panel will likely recommend that the vaccine be delayed until age four if the mother tests negative for Hep B, since the disease is transmitted sexually or by blood. Currently, the first Hep B dose is given at birth. The vote on this recommendation is scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m.
The vote for the MMRV shot is also scheduled at 5 p.m. on Friday. Before the vote, the panel will hear a presentation on &#8220;febrile seizure&#8221; following the MMRV vaccine.
The meeting will also reportedly include the introduction of five new panel member appointees. Back in June, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dismissed all ACIP panel members over what he said were conflicts of interest. He&#8217;s been replacing the panel with professionals he says follow gold-standard science. 
Also of note, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), which controversially <a href="https://publications.aap.org/aapnews/news/25340/AAP-reaffirms-gender-affirming-care-policy?autologincheck=redirected">supports</a> trans procedures for minors, boycotted the meeting, claiming ACIP has lost credibility under Kennedy.
AAP CEO Mark Del Monte <a href="https://www.statnews.com/2025/09/18/cdc-acip-vaccine-meeting-martin-kulldorff-debate-challenge/">claimed</a> in a recent statement that ACIP “imperils children’s health.&#8221; “Rather than firing experts at ACIP and CDC and engaging in political stunts, it’s time to get back to prioritizing children’s health. That’s where our focus is. That’s where it will remain,” he added.

Vax Panel Reviewing Childhood Vaccine Schedule. Here’s What They’ll Vote On.

The University of Pennsylvania appears to be standing by a prominent professor who shared a post calling assassinated conservative Charlie Kirk the &#8220;head of Trump&#8217;s Hitler youth,&#8221; in addition to other controversial posts.
In the wake of the 31-year-old&#8217;s targeted murder, UPenn professor and <a href="https://provost.upenn.edu/staff/michael-mann">administrator</a> Michael Mann posted and reposted a slew of negative comments about Kirk and any sympathetic reaction to the assassination. His most damning repost called Kirk the “head of Trump’s Hitler Youth.&#8221;
After much backlash, Mann deleted the post and said he &#8220;overlooked&#8221; the remark about Kirk being called the head of Trump&#8217;s Hitler youth.
&#8220;I reposted this earlier today,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;I was simply agreeing w/ the (widespread) criticism of Ezra Klein&#8217;s claim that Kirk was &#8216;practicing politics the right way&#8217;. I do NOT approve of the inappropriate &amp; inflammatory language used to describe Kirk (which I&#8217;d overlooked). Have deleted.&#8221;
Mann is one of the university&#8217;s most prominent, and controversial, faculty members. He is one of the most famous climate scientists in the world, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/22/science/22cnd-climate.html">responsible for the infamous &#8220;hockey stick&#8221; graph</a> that showed a drastic spike in global temperatures, feeding the global warming frenzy. Critics, however, say Mann <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2010/feb/02/hockey-stick-graph-climate-change">used flawed data</a> to create a non-scientific graph that fed his political ideology,
Mann has notably limited replies to the post, which was just one of many political posts from the professor.

Commenting to The Daily Pennsylvanian, Mann scolded McCormick for making &#8220;inflammatory demands.&#8221;
&#8220;It is very disappointing that Senator McCormick has mis-portrayed me in this way, let alone made such inflammatory demands,&#8221; he said.
The Daily Wire reached out to UPenn&#8217;s media team and UPenn President J. Larry Jameson but have failed to receive a response. <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/professor-slammed-despicable-behavior-controverisal-reposts-charlie-kirk">Other</a> <a href="https://www.thedp.com/article/2025/09/penn-professor-michael-mann-charlie-kirk-criticism">outlets</a> have reached out to UPenn about Mann&#8217;s social media posts, too, and have similarly failed to receive comment.
It appears the university is standing by Mann.
Notably, in 2024, UPenn <a href="https://www.thedp.com/article/2025/03/penn-federal-funding-data-analysis-2024?utm_source=chatgpt.com">received</a> more than $1 billion in federal taxpayer dollars.
Moreover, the jarring political social media posting seems to be a pattern with Mann. Back in 2024, Mann reposted a fake headline that called on then-President Joe Biden to &#8220;drone strike Donald Trump.&#8221; He captioned the post, &#8220;I agree with the multiverse NYT editorial.&#8221;
Trump has been the target of numerous assassination attempts, including one that tragically killed one of his supporters, Pennsylvania man Corey Comperatore, a firefighter who died shielding his family from gunfire.

He&#8217;s facing state charges including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice.
President Donald Trump announced this week that he will posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The pair were extremely close, and the Trump family recently said the president viewed Kirk &#8220;like a son.&#8221;
