<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Steve Miller Band recently announced that the rest of their tour is being canceled due to extreme weather events that have been happening around the country.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The band had 31 scheduled upcoming dates beginning August 15 in Bethel, New York, and concluding in Anaheim, California, in November. But now fans won’t have the chance to see the “Jet Airliner” recording artists in any of those cities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Dear Steve Miller Band fans,” the statement shared to social media says. “You make music with your instincts. You live life by your instincts. Always trust your instincts…”</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The Steve Miller Band has cancelled all of our upcoming tour dates,” it says. “The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. So …You can blame it on the weather… The tour is cancelled.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The statement concludes, “Don’t know where, don’t know when… We hope to see you all again. Wishing you all peace, love and happiness. Please take care of each other.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Many fans shot back on social media, saying the cancellation of the whole tour seemed extreme. Some followers posted images of available seats for some of the tour stops, suggesting that it was because of low ticket sales.</span></p>

Steve Miller Band Cancels 31 Future Tour Dates: ‘Blame It On The Weather’

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Paranormal investigator Dan Rivera, who’s been touring the United States with a supposedly haunted Raggedy Ann doll named Annabelle, died unexpectedly at a hotel, sparking a big reaction online.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rivera, 54, was found dead in his room on Sunday at the end of his three-day stop in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, as part of his “Devils on the Run Tour” with the doll. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pennsylvania State Police shared a more detailed report on Wednesday.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Members from PSP Gettysburg responded to a hotel in Straban Township, Adams County for a report of a deceased [man],&#8221; the report </span><a href="https://x.com/psptroophpio/status/1945469138668773605?s=46&amp;t=mwcG9TleShkOgZ4z0YNszA"><span style="font-weight: 400;">said</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. &#8220;The decedent was discovered in his hotel room by workers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Nothing unusual or suspicious was observed at the scene,” it added. “This case is pending autopsy results.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR) </span><a href="https://tonyspera.com/about/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">described</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> this particular doll as “demonically possessed.” It was given to a nursing student in 1968, and she claimed that something wasn’t right with it.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Almost immediately, the roommates noticed strange occurrences with the doll and they were introduced to a medium who told them the doll was inhabited by the spirit of a young girl named Annabelle,” the organization reported. “The two roommates tried to accept the doll’s spirit and please it only to have it reciprocate maliciousness and violent intent.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The society’s late founders, Ed and Lorraine Warren, kept the doll stored in a glass case in an effort to “contain the evil spirited entity.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The movie “The Conjuring” is based on the story of the “haunted” doll Annabelle. Meanwhile, many people are skeptical of the claims that the doll is possessed. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A statement from NESPR stated that the tour would continue. “We believe with all our hearts that Dan would have wanted the work to continue — bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and honoring the memory of Ed and Lorraine Warren,” it said. “We will carry his spirit in everything we do.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Colleagues of Rivera also called out commenters who tried to claim that his death was in some way staged to drum up interest for the tour. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Ghost Hunters” star Jason Hawes shared his thoughts on Facebook, saying, &#8220;The world lost a good man. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Dan Rivera was an Army veteran, a father of four, a husband, and someone who truly cared about people,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;What’s even harder to see right now are the posts blaming his death on things like the Annabelle doll and attacking places like <span class="html-span xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs">Ghostly Images of Gettysburg Tours</span> and other locations for having events. That needs to stop.<br />

Paranormal Investigator Dies While Touring With ‘Demonically Possessed’ Annabelle Doll

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Harry Potter” actress Emma Watson has been banned from driving in the United Kingdom for six months after being caught speeding.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 35-year-old celeb, who played Hermione Granger in the popular film franchise, was clocked doing 38 mph in a 30 mph zone in July of last year. Watson already had nine points on her license at the time of the incident, meaning she had previously committed driving offenses, each of which added points to her record.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to the </span><a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cly10x7pjplo"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BBC</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, the actress did not attend the hearing, but her lawyer made the statement, “She is in a position to pay the fine,” which was just under $1,400.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Watson has been living in Oxford, England, while pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing at the university there. The actress shot to fame in 2001, at the age of 11, following the release of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">She appeared in all eight films over the next decade. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coincidentally, another Harry Potter actress, Zoë Wanamaker, was in court on speeding charges on the same day as Watson. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The actress, 76, was caught driving 46 mph in a 40 mph zone and was also charged a fine of almost $1,400 and banned from driving for six months.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In 2023, Watson discussed stepping back from her Hollywood acting career.</span></p>

‘Harry Potter’ Star Emma Watson Banned From Driving After Speeding Violation

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pop singer Connie Francis, best known for her iconic single “Pretty Little Baby,” has died at the age of 87.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The celeb is also known for being the first female singer to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Besides “Pretty Little Baby,” Francis is known for the single &#8220;Who&#8217;s Sorry Now?&#8221; and for singing the theme song for the film “Where the Boys Are” (1961). She also acted in the movie.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Her death was announced via Ron Roberts, president of her label Concetta Records,</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ron.roberts.102977/posts/pfbid02CXrUcxAHfrbZ5EUy2N19u4WgsxMrqoy6YRtWguTH8ybPMwgsQSLzPuB43yJ3Dh9gl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook</a> post. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night. I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news,” the update said. “More details will follow later.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Francis had previously shared a </span><a href="https://www.facebook.com/ConnieFrancisOfficial/posts/pfbid0fv6cDaArP8WXBNkeDCaq4kXsyDgYsXj684t45Wfj5xrou3ebEuXuSbpyS9jTDYfGl"><span style="font-weight: 400;">health update</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> with her fans in March, saying she was in a wheelchair &#8220;to avoid undue pressure on a troublesome, painful hip.”</span></p>

Francis became massively popular at a young age, selling more than 40 million records by the age of 25.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Besides music, she had a short-lived acting career and appeared in several romantic comedies. The outlet also noted several major tragedies that happened to her over the years.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">For example, Francis’ good friend was strangled to death in 1967, and her brother was murdered in 1981.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Francis had cosmetic surgery on her nose in 1967, which left her unable to sing. It would take three more surgeries over the years to correct the damage.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;I couldn&#8217;t sing in air conditioned rooms,&#8221; she told NPR in 1982. &#8220;Which presented great problems in Las Vegas. They had to shut the air conditioning off, and the people would wilt. And I would, and the band would.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Then in 1974, the singer was raped at knifepoint at a Howard Johnson motel after singing at a music festival. She wound up receiving $2.5 million, the largest settlement for a rape case in history to that point.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;There was a doctor in New York who said that he could correct this,&#8221; she told NPR. &#8220;So I went for surgery, and two weeks before I went in for that surgery, I was recording an Italian album, and two weeks after the surgery, I went back to finish the overdub of the album, and that was one of the most terrifying moments of my life, because my voice was gone.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">She continued, “So, it wasn&#8217;t the rape that affected my voice. It was definitely the surgery. And I had a range of about seven notes. There was not one song I could sing from beginning to end. Oh, incidentally, two months after I&#8217;d lost my voice, my husband got up and left, and he just left. And that was the end of that.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Francis has been out of the industry for years after retiring to Florida, but has become a household name among the youth after the song “Pretty Little Baby” went viral on TikTok recently.</span></p>

Thousands of families – from Pacific Palisades to Altadena to Malibu – are still displaced and we owe it to them to help,&#8221; Newsom said, saying the bill seeks to &#8220;accelerate the development of affordable multifamily rental housing so that those rebuilding their lives after this tragedy have access to a safe, affordable place to come home to.&#8221;</span></p>

Reality Star Spencer Pratt Slams California Plan To Build Low-Income Housing In Fire Ravaged Areas

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">An arrest has been made in connection with the murder of longtime &#8220;American Idol&#8221; music supervisor Robin Kaye, 70, and her husband, who were both found shot and killed in their California home earlier this week. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Police said that Raymond Boodarian, 22, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder in what is believed to be a burglary gone wrong.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">An investigation revealed that the murders may have occurred on July 10, per the LAPD, due to the fact that their office received two calls that day about a possible burglary. Police </span><a href="https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/15/entertainment/american-idol-robin-kaye-double-homicide"><span style="font-weight: 400;">said</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> they flew a helicopter over the mansion at the time but did not attempt to enter due to the property being “highly fortified” and not seeing outward signs of forced entry. The couple lived in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers arrived to conduct a welfare check after a concerned friend called on Monday. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That’s when officers discovered a broken window and signs of a “violent struggle,” the police chief </span><a href="https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/american-idol-music-supervisor-dead-1236022120/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">said</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, noting that both of the victims were &#8220;ruthlessly shot multiple times.&#8221; </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kaye’s body was found in the pantry while her husband, Thomas Deluca, was found deceased in a bathroom, per </span><a href="https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/man-woman-fatally-shot-inside-encino-home/3745211/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">NBC Los Angeles</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The suspect is believed to have scaled a seven to eight-foot-high fence with metal spikes on top of it to gain entry into the residence. Police believe he was in the house for about 30 minutes before the couple encountered him. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At this time, there is no suspected motive, and the crimes are being treated as a random attack. A murder weapon has not been recovered.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The person who took care of the couple’s pool said there was another attempted break-in a little over a month ago. &#8220;Tom told me that somebody tried to break in, and the dog, he woke up and barked,&#8221; Mauro Quintero </span><a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/american-idol-music-boss-robin-kaye-husband-found-murdered-la-home"><span style="font-weight: 400;">told</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Fox News Digital during an interview. &#8220;So they got up, and I guess they turned the lights on, and the people [ran] away.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He continued, &#8220;At that point [Deluca] put something on the wall, so the people don&#8217;t jump in anymore. I guess he was trying to see if that [would] save him from another break-in. But I never expect[ed] that they got murdered like this.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The outlet also reported that the couple had consulted with a home security company but did not proceed with installing the system.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kaye worked as a music supervisor on &#8220;American Idol&#8221; from 2009 to 2023, which prompted reps from the show to issue a statement on her murder.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom&#8217;s, passing,&#8221; an American Idol spokesperson said. &#8220;Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.&#8221;</span></p>
