<p>Angel Studios&#8217; &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sound-of-freedom-tops-10m-in-box-office-presales" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sound of Freedom</a>&#8221; took the top spot at the U.S. box office on July 4th when the film finally hit theaters across the nation.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/absolutely-appalling-jim-caviezel-slams-christian-bigotry-happening-around-the-world" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jim Caviezel</a>-lead movie &#8212; which deals with the horrors of human trafficking &#8212; landed in the number one spot, beating out Disney&#8217;s highly-anticipated &#8220;Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny,&#8221; among others, <a href="https://www.boxofficemojo.com/date/2023-07-05/weekly/?sort=2023-07-04&amp;ref_=bo_da__resort#table" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Box Office Mojo</a> reported.</p>
<p>The new film from Angel Studios scored $14.2 million at the box office ($11.5 million at the direct box office combined with another $2.6 million from <a href="https://www.angel.com/pay-it-forward/sound-of-freedom?utm_medium=direct&amp;utm_source=angel-freedom&amp;utm_campaign=sound-of-freedom-theatrical" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PAY IT FORWARD</a> tickets sold), per a release from the studio responsible for the popular faith-based television series &#8220;The Chosen.&#8221;</p>
<p>The box office report showed that &#8220;Sound of Freedom&#8221; grossed $14,242,063 after the movie&#8217;s opening on Tuesday while Disney&#8217;s &#8220;Indiana Jones&#8221; sequel, which opened on June 30, earned $11,698,989 from more than 4,000 theaters.</p>
