<p>Social media erupted this weekend over an alleged racial comment WNBA player Brittney Griner made about opponent Caitlin Clark, who is white.</p>
<p>Unconfirmed reports floated on X and Instagram highlighting video of Griner after she fouled out of Friday&#8217;s game against the Indian Fever, the team Clark plays for. Griner&#8217;s alleged to have made a comment about Clark and the referee being &#8220;f***ing white girls.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Brittney Griner, whom Biden traded for the Merchant of Death, called Caitlin Clark and the white female ref: &#8216;Trash, f***ing white girls&#8217; after getting fouled out,&#8221; Outkick reporter Bobby Burack posted, captioning video of the alleged incident.</p>

<p>As highlighted by Burack, Griner was released from a Russian jail after former President Biden <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/wnba-star-brittney-griner-freed-from-russian-prison-in-swap-for-arms-dealer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">swapped</a> Griner for a notorious Russian arms dealer named Viktor Bout, dubbed the &#8220;Merchant of Death.&#8221; The controversial swap has only added to the recent politically-charged alleged incident.</p>

<p>Comments online say a full-blown investigation would have been launched if the alleged racial comment was made against a black player. Others stood up for Clark and suggested some in the WNBA are jealous of her success.</p>
<p>&#8220;Holy s*** this is getting ridiculous,&#8221; one comment liked by hundreds of people reads. &#8220;[Caitlin Clark] is the WNBA&#8217;s generational player that is finally going to put this league on the map and these women can&#8217;t get over their petty jealousy and enjoy the fruits about to come their way.&#8221;</p>

<p>Another person wrote, &#8220;Imagine 200 women self destructing themselves just because one woman is better. F***ing sad.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Let a white chick say some[thing] like that and it’s a problem,&#8221; one post read.</p>
<p>Notably, Griner seemed to complain about Clark bringing in new fans to the WNBA last year, suggesting some of them are racist.</p>
<p>&#8220;I don’t appreciate the new fans that sit there and yell racial slurs at myself, my teammates, and the people that I play against because, yeah, those are my best opponents but those are friends too,&#8221; Griner said at the time.</p>
