Reality star Caitlyn Jenner slammed the Vermont high school that punished girls who were upset about sharing a locker room with “biological boys with penises changing next” to them, calling it “so backwards.”
The 72-year-old Olympic gold medalist reacted to news that a girls volleyball team had been banned from their own locker room after female students complained about a transgender student changing in there with them, as previously reported.
“We cannot have biological boys with penises changing next to our daughters in locker rooms, and then have our daughters scolded by the school,” Jenner tweeted.
“This is so backwards,” the star added. “Shame on Vermont!”

In a post a short time later, Jenner talked about continuing to fight for “common sense solutions” when it comes to transgender individuals in sports.
“I will continue advocating for common sense solutions no matter what, [especially] on the trans in sports and schools stories becoming all too common, b/c of the radical left,” Caitlyn tweeted.
“I am an American, that loves my country and hates to see it going down the tubes to these radical leftists!” Jenner added.
The Olympian’s comments mirrored the sentiment of one of the team’s girls, who said she had no problem playing alongside a trans student, but changing in the locker room next to a biological man is another thing, according to a local CBS News report.
“It’s a huge thing,” Blake Allen, a member of the volleyball team, shared. “Everyone’s asking, ‘So, why aren’t you allowed in the locker room?’ My mom wants me to do this interview to try to make a change. I feel like for stating my opinion — that I don’t want a biological man changing with me — that I should not have harassment charges or bullying charges. They should all be dropped.”
In January, Jenner said during a Fox appearance that “biological boys … should not be playing in women’s sports. We need to protect women’s sports. Obviously, this is about Lia Thomas, who has brought a lot of attention to this issue,” as she blasted the biological male who identifies as a female for competing in woman’s swimming.
“First of all, I respect her decision to live her life authentically — 100% — but it also comes with responsibility and some integrity,” the star stated at the time.
“I don’t know why she’s doing it,” Caitlyn added. “She knows when she’s swimming, she’s beating the competition by two laps. She was born a biological boy. She was raised as a biological boy. Her cardiovascular system is bigger, her respiratory system is bigger, her hands are bigger, she can swim faster. That’s a known.”
